listerman
Dec 2 - Weekly Recap Another busy weekend for the MMA Hype crew as we witnessed our first 3-0 fighters rise to the top to become #1 contender in their divisions. - Rory Lucas is now our top heavyweight fighter with 3 first round KO wins within the organization. - Zechariah Osborne became our top welterweight by also going 3-0 with 3 first round KO wins. MMA Hype 13 is our highest rated event to date. Only 1 fight went the distance, 2 submissions and 7 (T)KOs. If that’s not something impressive, I don’t know what is. Hype 13 - Fight of the night went to Max Desmond and Savion Alvarado who went to a decision with a final score of 29-28 in Desmond’s favor. Desmond dominated the fight until the last round when he started to slow down and let Alvarado get more comfortable. Unfortunately for Alvarado, the final bell rang and he ran out of time. When Desmond realized he couldn’t hurt Alvarado with all his strikes, he was content to just cruise towards a decision win, knowing he had the first 2 rounds. Hype 13 - KO of the night went to Eddie Odom who was simply too much for Kamatis. Odom had his way in the first round by landing almost every single strike. He rocked his opponent early in the second round when he landed a one two combo. He followed with more punches until the ref stepped in and called the fight. Impressive stuff from a newcomer at MMA Hype. Welcome aboard, Odom! Hype 13 - Submission of the night went to Douglas Clark with an insane performance all around from the MMA Hype vet. Clark was at his third bout with the organization and was still winless. What a way to show the fans that he belongs with the best. He stood with a well decorated striker and made it look easy when he started landing head punches early on. A cut, a knowndown that rocked his opponent, and then he jumped on top of him and locked a slick Arm Triangle that put Hodges to sleep. If this is the new and improved Douglas Clark, give me some more! Click here for the full MMA Hype 13 results. MMA Hype 14 was as impressive. 2 decisions, 1 sub and 7 (T)KOs, 6 of which were in the first round. We could easily have gone with a benchless venue, since we barely had time to sit at all. Hype 14 - Fight of the night went to Vanderley Ferreira and Jesus Huerta and didn’t surprise anyone with a fight that may end up being fight of the year at MMA Hype. We knew that matchup was going to give us something like that. 2 highly skilled grapplers going head to head, and they gave us a striking clinic in the first round. Huerta got rocked late in the first round when he ate a clean uppercut and dropped to the ground. Ferreira followed him to the ground, but Huerta immediately started to work from submissions from the bottom. Round 1 ended and round 2 was more of the same. Ferreira landed another clean uppercut that dropped Huerta again. Huerta still managed to survive and work from the bottom, until Ferreira got his back and finished it off with a rear naked choke submission. Hype 14 - Submission of the night went to Vanderley Ferreira with the rear naked choke win against Huerta. Hype 14 - KO of the night went to veteran Lamar Bright who only needed 40 seconds to completely demolish his opponent. Bright landed all his strikes perfectly, which phased out Kinnaman. The final blow was a brutal uppercut that knocked Kinnaman out cold. We were told that he was out before even hitting the ground, which makes the blow landed by Bright even more devastating than we first thought. Bright has been doing great at MMA Hype and is now 2-1 within the organization. Click here for the full MMA Hype 14 results.

listerman
MMA Hype Promotions’ first event is bound to make history on September 22nd Tonight on MMA Hype, Jared Asante and Brett Clarke discuss the beginning of their fight organization. Here’s Jared and Brett. -- -- -- Jared Asante: Good evening ladies and gentlemen! It’s been quite some time since our last outing in the MMA world. We’ve been really busy in the past few weeks. We opened a gym in Las Vegas, and then we started getting itchy about promoting fights even more, which brought us where we are now, owners of a brand new fight organization. Brett Clarke: We are excited to announce our first official event, one of two that will be hosted at Wild Bob’s Bar in Las Vegas. James Listerman and Jay Lawrence have been extremely busy in the last week. Seems like it’s all coming to reality, finally, and we’re just about to see it all in action, starting September 22nd. Full card can be viewed here Place your bets online at MMA Hype. For gambling addictions, please contact one our hotlines. Jared: Not gonna lie, I don’t know any of these names yet. Our fight organization currently aims to showcase the best new talent, which means it will take a few events before we start seeing the real future stars. Brett: I mean, a few of the fighters have been seen in exhibition matches already, but most of them are coming in with a blank sheet. It will be very entertaining to watch, since this will feel like the early days, when MMA first started and different disciplines started to fight each other. Jared: Exactly Brett. We can expect to see a lot of interesting matchups, where pure strikers face each other, with absolutely no ground game to show. Jay Lawrence has been working hard with matchmaking to make sure that matchups were strikers vs strikers and ground vs ground. Brett: Which is perfect and exactly what we want to see in the first few events we host. The last thing we want to see is an unfair fight. I’ve always been a big fan of even fights, and this is what we’re going to see on September 22nd. Tickets are on sale now. Purchase online or at the gate. Place will be packed, so get your tickets early. Drink responsibly. Parking has limited spaces, so public transit is strongly recommended. 1

listerman
MMA Hype -1- September 22, 2024 Tonight on MMA Hype, Brett Clarke and Jared Asante are inside the studio talking about the first event in the organization’s history. Here’s Brett and Jared: -- -- -- Jared Asante: Good evening ladies and gentlemen! It’s finally upon us. MMA Hype Promotions’ first event. I want to say that we have a stacked card, but it’s way too early to tell who’s going to show dominance yet. Brett Clarke: That’s right Jared. A lot of these guys will be fighting professionally for the first time of their career, making it hard to make any predictions. I’ve watched a few of them train on tape, as it was a requirement prior to signing them, so I have a little idea of how some of them will do, but there’s a big difference between sparring and real fights. Jared: Do you think we can expect a lot of finishes, or just sloppy 3 rounds with gassed out dudes, fighting for oxygen more than they fight to win? Brett: Honestly, there’s 8 heavyweights in that event, and some of them are completely out of shape. Could be sloppy, but I think we will see a lot of first round finishes. The power in these guys will surprise you. I’ve seen one, and I’m not gonna say who, break a speed bag with a jab. I mean, the thing was absolute garbage, but still. – – – Full card can be viewed here. Place your bets online at MMA Hype. For gambling addictions, please contact one of our hotlines. – – – Jared: The format we will be using here at MMA Hype Promotions is simple. Top 2 fights will be the main events, who will show up on our event poster for each event we host. After every event, owner James Listerman will give out “of the night” awards for KO/Sub and fight of the night. That will net the selected fighters some extra cash. Along with these awards, our own Brett Clarke will pick “3 stars of the week”, which will be fighters who impressed him the most inside and outside the cage. These 3 stars will get an extra 5,000$. Brett: Inside and outside the cage is key here. A losing fighter can still be a star of the week. Anyone who shows heart and skills in the cage, along with community involvement will be considered. We do love some banter between fighters, as long as it stays clean and within the company’s policy. – – – Jared: If you haven’t already, place your bets now. There’s currently no odds set on the fights, and will remain like that for a few weeks, or at least until we start figuring out these fighters a little bit more. We are looking forward to this first historical event. It’s been crazy lately at the MMA Hype HQ here in Las Vegas, but we’ve been getting a lot of positive vibes from the community, and are eager to get it all going. Brett: James Listerman and Jay Lawrence have been doing the heavy lift really. Lawrence has been working day and night scouting, recruiting and even matchmaking. He’s been doing a lot of hard work and we want to thank him for all he’s done for the business this past couple weeks. Jared: Thank you Jay, from all of us at MMA Hype! You’ve been quite the addition to the team and we hope the partnership pleases you as much as it pleases us! – – – Tickets are on sale now. Purchase online or at the gate. Place will be packed, so get your tickets early. Drink responsibly. Parking has limited spaces, so public transit is strongly recommended.
BlueFalcon
I am very excited to see this first event take place! Here's a few fun facts about it: -20 fighters from 15 different managers. -Four 25 year olds and sixteen 18 year olds -Five fights are standing vs. standing -Three fights are hybrid vs. hybrid -Two fights are ground vs. ground The fight I am most looking forward to seeing is Volkov vs. Lopez. Both fighters are standing and both fighters were early 406-creations. Volkov comes in 1-0 and Lopez comes in 0-0. Volkov has a very experienced manager in currently 13th-ranked Aleksey Nikulin, while Lopez is managed by returning manager, A.J. Stylez who has a superb win record. This one I think will be a consideration for fight of the night. -Jay Lawrence -MMA Hype (Staff) -Bloodbath Clothing (Owner)

Calling out any fighters in MMA Hype’s FW division early, I’m looking to get the belt ASAP. Let the smack talk begin! Volkov and Lopez are probably the two, to beat, 18 year olds in the featherweight division right now. They are featured on the co-main of Hype 1's event this weekend. Superkruang, you will face the winner of Volkov vs. Lopez in Hype 5 (1 month from today). That is, if the winner accepts the challenge. -Jay Lawrence -MMA Hype (Staff) -Bloodbath Clothing (Owner)

listerman
Week 1 Recap First week is in the books! History was made, and it came with a night of upsets, which is exactly what we wanted for a first event. We saw a couple of 18s beat out 25s, which were not something we expected at all. 5 knockouts, 3 submissions and 2 fights went the distance. The MMA Hype crew were standing and yelling for the whole time, and the post event party was quite special. Special thanks to the fighters, but specifically the managers who trusted us with a brand new fight organization. The first event was filled with fighters who signed an early contract, knowing that they could wait a few weeks to get a first fight, and we appreciate that a lot. Click here for the full MMA Hype 1 results. Luis “The Beast” Lopez (145 lbs) First star of the week goes to Luis Lopez, who upsetted a heavily favorite opponent, judging by the bets and predictions, with a win via TKO in the third round. He dominated the first half of the fight, which put a lot of pressure on Volkov, who was looking to step it up and go for the finish. Lopez remained calm and took advantage of Volkov’s change of pace and landed a crazy sequence of punches that forced the referee to call the fight. That win puts Lopez at the top of a packed featherweight division at MMA Hype Promotions. Dante “Diamond” Drayman (205 lbs) The second star of the week goes to Drayman, who went into a fight against a similar skilled boxer in Delluze. There was no way that fight was going to the ground, and you could tell by the stance of both fighters who swung at each other like a blindfolded kid swinging at a piñata. Drayman got the best of the exchange after he rocked Delluze with a nice combo that dropped him on the canvas. He didn’t even follow, he waved him back to his feet and kept his cool until he connected with one last straight punch that knocked his opponent out cold. Well deserved star! Michel “Phistosophical” Delluze (205 lbs) Third star of the week goes hand in hand with the second star. Even though Delluze lost his fight against Drayman, he showed everyone he was a serious boxer. His punches were landing more than his opponent, he just wasn’t landing quite flush with his combinations, which gassed him a little too early in the fight. He was controlling the fight until he got rocked, and managed to regain his senses when he got back up. Unfortunately for him, it was too late chin gave out after a nasty punch connected his jaw cleanly. Can’t wait to see him fight again. 1

listerman
MMA Hype -2- September 29, 2024 Tonight on MMA Hype, Brett Clarke and Jared Asante are inside the studio talking about MMA Hype 2, second and last event held at Wild Bob’s Bar in Las Vegas. The fight organization has signed a multiple events deal with The Palmtree. Here’s Brett and Jared: -- -- -- Jared Asante: Good evening ladies and gentlemen! We are excited and proud to be here to discuss our second event… already! It felt like forever until we got here, but now we get to see our rising stars fight, at least every week. Brett Clarke: That’s right Jared, Sunday was a special night for all of us, getting to watch a show that we put together ourselves. Unfortunately the place was not as packed as we expected, we had a few empty seats due to a Black Eyed Peas concert held 2 blocks away, but the people who came will definitely be there next week. Jared: My wife actually went to that concert and said it wasn’t as good as she wished. We also gave away 200 tickets to a radio station, but they “forgot” to give them. Apparently no one listens to the radios anymore. We’re getting old. Anyways… Coming up is event #2. We have 18 fighters looking to get themselves a spot on the ladder of their respective division. We’re still ways from knowing who will be our first champion, but last week was a great start. Brett: Indeed. We have another heavyweight bout that will headline our next event, Everett vs Espinoza, which on paper is a very close matchup. Everett is 3 years older, but Espinoza has 3 more amateur fights under his belt, which makes him the most experienced fighter of the two. We’ve seen a bit of footage from both fighters, and we expect a slugfest. I doubt this fight goes to the ground, it will be in and out of the clinch, and I also doubt it goes the distance. Hard to predict, but I’d say Everett could have an advantage if the fight goes to clinch. Jared: That makes a lot of sense. Then the other main card, we have a welterweight fight between Santana and Bright, any thoughts on that one? Brett: Santana vs Bright is another case of age gap. Santana is much older, but Bright wanted to prove himself by going against an experienced fighter. Santana is known to be very versatile. He will try just about anything, which makes him quite unpredictable. We’ve seen him strike, clinch, grapple, takedown, everything except for kicks, even though we heard from his camp that he was a good kicker. And all that in just one fight that lasted just under 2 rounds. Bright has a lot of studying to do. He will have to set the tone early and control the fight. Bright’s future is bright, I’m sure he’ll figure it out. Jared: You had to do it didn’t you. Brett: I’m not even sorry. – – – Full card can be viewed here. Place your bets online at MMA Hype. For gambling addictions, please contact one of our hotlines. – – – Jared: Place your bets now! Lots of upsets last week, we look forward to taking all your money for a second straight week! Jay Lawrence (BBC Clothing) is also doing his own “MMA Hype Pick-em”. Brett: Jay will do that for every event. Pick-em all right and you get 100k straight in your bank account, tax-free. The trick is to not pick the ones he picks. Tickets are on sale now. Purchase online or at the gate. Get your tickets early before we run out. Drink responsibly. Limited parking space, public transit is strongly recommended.
