Damage vs KO Power What's the difference?

Damage outside of KO's relies on multiple factors, primary skill, physical and secondaries so for striking you want punches, boxing and kicks, muay thai at a high level along with high strength, high agility will increase accuracy of strikes and kicks also factor in some flexibility for accuracy and balance for landing without your fighter falling on their ass during or after kicking.

At least that is my understanding, the vets can probably offer better guidance.

I don’t understand the question - what do you mean by damage

When a fighter maxes out strength to elite  I learned through the forums over the years that there punches are more "damaging" not that they add more "KO power". I want to know the difference between a  damage strike and a knockout power strike.

Thanks for the reply but but what constitutes damage? If a fighter takes more damage, are they easier to ko? What is damage really is my question. I know KO power regulates how easy it is for a KO or TKO but when a fighter throws damage I want to know the difference. Because higher on the damage slider does mean they throw more bombs. Thus I'm confused af with the engine.

It's hard to be sure because everything is so obfuscated. Higher damage on the slider results in more cuts and seems to result in more stamina damage from body/leg blows, which the KO power hidden does not seem to inherently affect. The amount of damage taken to the chin from a head strike is most likely governed by both the hidden and the slider setting + physicals (to some nebulously lesser extent) + some RNG on top of that.

So from what I gathered so far damage constitutes to how much injuries and cuts a fighter could potentially take while KO Power determines how easy it is to put someones lights out and end the fight. Hmm okay I think I understand it a little better now. I wish we new as well for sure if strength training increases ko power or damage or both. Because different managers have different opinions. But unless we are Mike or Vlad and can see the engine we will never know for sure. Another example I'm familiar with is how when a fighter in the slider settings goes higher on damage they also start throwing more bombs if they have ko power. Thanks for your help Bobb, Tosh and Antary.

Physicals affect it for sure, and apparently not just strength, but less so than the damage slider setting.

I did just +1 this post but yes, there is random involved in it too.

Basically it's random number * all the physical stuff * this tactic * some other bits and pieces. So this tactic is the most important part in determining damage - moreso than physicals / hiddens.
