sigxsubzero Posted January 28 Report Share Posted January 28 Royal MMA will be hosting a small creation tournament at 135lbs. The tournament will be double elimination with 8 signups as the goal. To signup for this tournament, you need to have a mentor or to have recently graduated! If you are a new player and don’t currently have a mentor, please use the mentor system to find yourself one, they will not only help you win this tournament but they can help with any questions you have. We will only be accepting 25-year-olds with a minimum weight of 135lbs, creation date will be once all signups are confirmed. The first round will be scheduled for 2 weeks from creation and then a further 2-3 weeks in between rounds depending on injuries. Managers are not required to keep their fighters signed once eliminated but we will be encouraging any to stay with Royal MMA and continue to compete in our bantamweight division. Tournament Plan - 8 Fighters will be randomly drawn into a double elimination knockout – losers drop into the second bracket and on second loss will be eliminated from the tournament. - Fighters are only to be created once all signups are confirmed and post is updated (I will send a message to each manager once this happens). - First fight will be roughly 2 weeks from when creation begins. - Bantamweight – Fighters must be at least 135lbs throughout the tournament. Final will be for title. - 2-3 weeks between events to allow for injuries/training - Fights will be 3x5 except for the final which will be a 5x5 fight - Contract will be $3k/$3k/$3k – You will fight a minimum of 2 fights and a maximum of 6 fights if you make it to the final via loser bracket, the majority will have less fights but can be released at any point once eliminated. - Prize will be $50k to the winning manager.
