Just how important is Self-Confidence as a hidden?

Context: just returned to the game, have an incredibly fast learner with a Granite chin. All sounds great huh?

Lost in a QFC test fight and...... morale goes to literally 0.

Are there any examples of retired successful fighters in the game with a low confidence hidden?

Personally, I was taught not to keep them during my mentorship. 'Granite chin' , so I understand your dilemma regarding this tough choice.

Emo level confidence is rough man. 0% morale is a clear sign of horrible confidence, maybe even lower than the examples above. I generally cut ties.

Another thing to consider if you're having a hard time - he could have no heart, pillow fisted, etc. When I see one sign of a droppable hidden, I cut ties. Just my two cents.

The challenge of keeping him and proving people wrong is also kinda fun.

If a fighters dumps below 70% morale after a loss I'd just sack them. 

They are less likely to go forward and get less counters thus less actions per game. if he drops to zero then that's definitely and instasack. Whenever he starts to get beat up there will be less return fire from your fighter.

I've had guys with poor confidence do pretty darned well.  Doesn't really seem to hurt them so much in the cage, but if they do lose, you get stuck with poor training while getting it back up.  But the only way I would keep one of them is if they had a great hidden reveal as it's just a hassle regardless.  I have to assume it can effect them in the cage, but I have not seen it, personally.

There’s Pound for pound no.1 fighters who dropped below 70% morale - like the ones stated above

I think it’s only a major problem for a certain type of fighting style

If you are going to 0% morale after a loss I would dump, they might have some amazing hiddens elsewhere, they generally don't, but the hassle of getting all his morale back at every loss is not worth it imho, it really disrupts their training & as they age they'll start racking up losses faster which only compunds the morale regeneration losses.

i personally would potentially keep if he has awesome other hiddens - especially high power

So, more than likely i'd cut in most circumstances, but would likely keep if he had the heart, chin, power combo - low probability though. 

All im saying is that it wouldnt necessarily be an insta-sack for me, i'd weight up the other shit too

Don't you just set them more aggressive than you would want your tactics set normally?

Yeah, but if they get hit with power, they stop doing anything. They're also horrible ground fighters as they make fewer moves and often get stood up. I sack emo fighters. Only reason I'd keep one is for the challenge of the game.
