    Conditioning trap

    Ok, thanks for your help.
  2. I think that I'm trapped in a vicious circle. As I understand your conditioning goes down if you don't train. Your energy goes down if you do. What I did is I made a fighter with zero conditioning with the idea to let him do cardio for the first weeks to make up for it. Now after one cardio training my fighter has zero energy left. Of course with his conditioning still on useless. First question: What is the effect of training without energy? If there is no negative effect I can still get his conditioning up by letting him train on cardio. Second question: If my fighter can't train because of a lack of energy than I can't get his conditioning up either. So what do I do?
  3. Thank you very much for answering. Maybe I just didn't look hard enough on the help pages. So I guess that sparring improves boxing in general and so punching technique does punches and punching defense does punching defense. Makes sense. So for a good striker you probably best try to keep them all on a similar level. Still two more questions does agility, balance and speed deteriorate just like cardio and strenght? And are there other ways to improve speed other than the 'slight' gain you get from weights?
  4. He wasn't really beating the crap out of anything but the mat according to the fight description. Not very smart to take a fight to the ground either when you have a white belt BJJ and respectable boxing and your opponent has feeble boxing and a blue belt BJJ. Your fighter doesn't need ground game he needs a brain.
  5. Four questions: How do you improve agility, speed and balance? What is the difference between sparring and normal boxing training? What does it mean when for example your punches and punching defense are useless, but your boxing is wonderful, or the other way around? And when I train my punching defense is it only that level that improves or does boxing in general improve in level as well? Thanks for the attention.

    Sparring

Help pages say that sparring means sparring rotations between all present fighters. So all fighters will get training.

    Fighters Age

I was doubting on whether to put this in the improvements section or in the noob help, but here it is. I think the game could use a better indication on what impact age has on a fighter. Because now I find it very difficult to place the advantages of picking a younger fighter. Younger fighters learn quicker, but that doesn't necessarily means that it pays off in the long run. An 18 year old doesn't have good chances on beating a 22 year old. Yet 18 years old have to fight as well to pay their gym costs. By the time the fighter has made up for skill he might already have a bad record which makes fighting organisations not want to sign him. Another question is whether the quicker learning path makes up for the points it was denied on creating the fighter. The fact that there's a hidden factor included on how quick a fighter learns make me wonder even more. A fighter ages every 18 weeks, so for to go from 18 to 22 it takes 1 year and 5 months in real life. A very long time to find out whether the gamble paid off. And even if that isn't an issue than it's still not proven picking a younger fighter is advantagous. 22 year old fighters learn as well. How long does it take to make up for the skill difference between the two effectively? Maybe never? After the 22 year olds retirement? Or maybe 6 to 8 ingame years? 2 to 2 years and 10 months irl? That's a bit long. Is it possible to clear these issues up for the players? Maybe by giving a little more information about the effect of age? And the effect of the hidden learning factor in contrast with the effect of age on learning. Or maybe these questions are too difficult to answer? In that case: do we really need to chose the age of our fighters? Thanks for your time! I like the game a lot!
