  1. Macho Man may be behind on points here but have been looking strong in the third round, that punch before definitely rocked Chukwuma.

Macho Man lands a right hand that snaps the head of Chukwuma backwards.
Macho Man lands another uppercut that snaps the head of Chukwuma backwards again.

Mac: Hit him harder, use your special!

Macho Man creates a bit of space for himself and unleashed what can only be described as a tiger uppercut, straight out of Street Fighter! Chukwuma crashes to the mat! Can he make it back to his feet in time? 3,4,5,6... it doesn't look like he's going to make it! Chukwuma face plants back to the mat and the referee calls off the fight! Macho Man takes it with a brutal technical knockout!

Ladies and gentlemen, after 4:29 of round 3, we have a winner by way of TKO (Punch). Super Macho Man!

  2. I was just thinking the other day how it is that new players find their way here since there is 0 advertisment. Maybe there will be some more of that and an influx of new people after the site gets a facelift with some of the tycoon 2.0 features (supposedly in development but we didn't hear anything about it for some time now).

Anyway, the more the merrier, a game like this lives or dies by an active community.

King Hippo: Hey was that aimed at me? I'm man enough to admit I took the loss against Bobby Bayou hard, but calling my place dirty is under the belt. I haven't seen anything about the HW division in a good while and that is not just because I've been living in.. eh.. never mind. I'm back training again now and I got the perfect comeback fight lined up where I'm gonna break the 0 of this Lopez guy who broke Bayous 0.

    Hello.

I think I have read somewhere that there is a certain margin in wich you can exceed the maximum weight for a fight. Am I right or is this a figment of my imagination?

If so, does anyone know what the margin is?

    Thanks.

It will tell you if you look at a fighter profile where it says "can cut to". It means that they can go into a fight overweight but will be able to cut down to that weight automatically for the weigh-in. FYI, if they are low on energy they won't be able to cut as much and could miss weight. You should always make sure to be 100% energy on fight day regardless.

  5. Yes he won't win any nobel prizes for you, but he can still do fine as long as his other hiddens are decent. Becoming more experienced will also counteract the effects of low iq to some degree.

Young Blood: Well, damn... I was fucking wrong about that... Nice work Macho!

Super Macho Man: Thanks. Truth to be told I had my doubts this part of the tournament would be a good career move for me, but my manager kept telling me "just grab the guy and whatever you do don't let go". "Use your pressure game, the ropes is the new floor" he said. I'm sure you are gonna knock some guys out the coming rounds BG, you are one of the top strikers here so after this fight I feel I can take on anyone.

  7. I think the whole skill system is a bit fundamentally flawed and that knees/elbows were added as separate skills makes it even more so. But then we have the rest of the game built on top of this system including the fight engine which is the shining star of this whole game. This is a tough one and any change in fight engine balance need to be considered carefully, because what we have right now works despite the flaws.

I see what RegularJohn want to do but I'm not sure this change would result in the intended effect.

I'll take a closer look at the discussion above but perhaps in the same vein, it should be harder - if not impossible - to become Elite across the board.

for example if you are Elite++ in Conditioning it should be nearly impossible to become Elite++ in Strength; or if you are Elite in Boxing then your stance, head movement and footwork should make it nearly impossible to become Elite in Muay Thai.

  9. Different locations does have some game-design merit even if I wish it was better. The 3 days wait period for example is sometimes the reason I buy from one company over another. It does add a little bit of strategy to where you open a company or org. I think we can live with how it is for now and maybe some day have the location system improved instead of removed. Who knows, maybe the player base will even grow as the game gets modernized and we will have enough playerbase again to have local fight scenes etc become meaningful again.
