  1. Perhaps but if ADA weathers the storm the first 3 rounds Pekka is getting subbed or TKO'd.
  2. I could go up to 185 pounds, the only change I would make is not being so reckless with my sliders and respecting the power of my opponents. It wouldn't make much of a difference with 5-6 other elite hiddens to work with. I never said it wasn't an advantage in my last point. My point was that it isn't my only advantage. I could do the same thing being overweight, there is a lot to work with, (again not bragging, just making a point). If A.D.A didn't have 140+ Heart, his "speed advantage" wasn't going to stop him from getting sent to the shadow realm from GNP, Big Heart did. In fact, Yonic had 50-60% energy left when I had 1%. I already lost the "energy" and "speed" advantage from gassing with all those subs. But I got to admit if someone pulled off that sub on one of my fighters I would be pretty pissed off . Maybe one day I might go down to 170 and try to pull off the same techniques weighing in at 187 at 170 just to prove a point. Then again though I want ADA to fight Arundel, Pekka and Atunes one day.
  3. #1 Well I can't really argue with anything you said so GG. The theory that I am suggesting takes 4 variables & specific scenarios that have to come past in the fight to work. I just wanted to show that it is not "impossible". We have talked about this topic many times in 2020, but if I can change the perspective of the more senior managers and give counters to the 5 pound under than that is fine with me. Look at ADA for example. Yes I do go 5 pounds under with him and use the speed advantage, but that is not the only reason why he wins. https://www.mmatycoon.com/fighterprofilemanager.php?FID=350932 (A.D.A) #2 I do go 5 pounds under with him and use the speed advantage, but that is not the only reason why he wins. A.D.A. has a Granite Chin, 140+ Heart 130+ Confidence, and High Intelligence and Above Average Power. I usually predict my opponents sliders correctly over 90% of the time so he gets a lot of counters in the later rounds. Yet there was a time when people hated that a few months ago that I was going 5 under with ADA and SSS. At the end of the day, a manager will use there height weight, sliders, predictions, and RNG to there advantage as much as possible. It is not "impossible" to counter 5 pounds under.
  4. Fairplay, though I wonder what that X percentage is, I'm sure Mike knows but I have no idea lol. A lot of TWGC guys use the meta of underweight and outscoring points it speed to get the W. However I have used closed guard bottom + a lot of control score a 1st round sub with my red belt before.
  5. If I had Nero La Croix as a fighter, I would have been spamming clinch. There was only 5 clinch attempts from his side during the whole fight. It wasn't like he was missing punches because he was "bigger". There needs to be a larger sample size to use that as a thesis to my antithesis. I would've tried hyper aggression, a good amount of stall, and knees only. Here is my antithesis to your thesis. https://www.mmatycoon.com/fightcommentary.php?FTID=1010931 (One hit knee KO) (80 pound weight advantage) (aggressively controlling)
  6. I agree but I also don't want an overcorrection in the engine either and all of a suddenly behemoths just kill people with clinch lol. Maybe a 3-5% exponential average damage increase in punches, blows, and knees for fighters every 10-20 pounds
  7. Necro Bump for the people saying being heavier has no benefits.
  8. ? Knees and elbows in mainland are pretty good at cutting. However, it is hard to get a stoppage with knees to the head unless your fighter has true power. Knees are still good for gassing & if you land a good succession of elbows the fight has a high chance of getting stopped. I would like Mike to increase damage by 5%, however I hope that doesn't become the new meta .
  9. Accidently posted the wrong fight the first time, it is fixed lol.
  10. I actually find some data, I don't want to seem like I am play devil's advocate and pulling stats out of my ass, I am actually very serious about this topic. Here is a KT fight of Scorpion vs La De Hoya. Now Scorpion has (12) wonderful and I have 14(sensational) wrestling. He was still able to nullify 67% of La De Hoya's knees to the body with the clinch control setting, even without the wrestling advantage. In fact, I have no idea how Bradley Burns pulled this off it was quite impressive. This fight is actually what inspired me to start making wrestle boxers in the first place. (Scorpion was 8 pounds heavier and had a slight reach advantage) (La De Hoya gassed out) (Scorpion had more energy left in the lost in this fight). http://www.mmatycoon.com/fightcommentary.php?FTID=1008244
  11. No I am just saying if a taller, heavier, stronger fighter hurts you in the clinch that can nullify underweight advantage. Then, when the fight goes back to standing, the accurate punches will eventually knock you out because you know longer have the laser like counters because you lost the energy advantage. Yea Nero couldn't do anything in the clinch in that fight. But I wonder how much stall he used because you exited the clinch pretty easily on him during that tourney.
  12. You make a great argument. However let me be more specific, a fighter with these three statistics can beat a small underweight fighter, is heavier, very tall, and lands enough body blow can slow the faster fighter down can counter this strategy in the clinch. As we already know, stand up fighters have an advantage in the standup, but smaller fighters have an advantage in the clinch. However if I use enough clinch control + heaviness from my build + strength, it would be a tall task to just spam in the clinch. First of al, you won't even be able to move lol. I don't have the data as you do to support my claims though unfortunately. Maybe I will make a thread in the future with some actual fights with evidence.
  13. . If I had Grumpy's fighter I would go 100% SHIG and 100% damage and 80% takedowns predictions on your bjj brown belt to make sure it doesn't go to the ground . Good luck in your fight though.
  14. The only reason "the speed glitch" is considered a viable strategy is because anybody could use it and rack up the wins. However it is a strategy that could be easily countered. Taller strikers are more accurate in the standup game. So, if it is an underweight short striker vs a tall wrestle boxer, the tall wrestle boxer will have the striking accuracy advantage and just take the fight into the clinch, gas him out, and then knock him out. Being underweight is a good strategy to use, until it isn't, when your fighter has less than 10% energy from all the knees & body shots. The counter punching alone from the lack of energy and the accurate striking could win the match in that hypothetical scenario.
  15. I'll create a new thread in a few months with again on stand-ups from the top position. Right now I don't have the experimental data to 100% prove that the opponent didn't tick "allow stand-up", however at least we know now that Mike said stand-ups from the top position are transitions not escapes. Hopefully more managers start using strikers start using (15) transitions to get out of top position from a guard pull scramble.
  16. It took some digging but I actually found the thread where Mike said that in the new engine transitions are used to escape from top position This explains so much because I saw a strategy a wrestler used against a strike by taking down there opponent and getting a "standup" up right away to gas out the opponent. The striker lost energy of course from constantly getting taken down, always wondered if it was truly transitions http://www.mmatycoon.com/forums/index.php?showtopic=50571 (Fight Engine Changes 2015)
  17. ID orgs still work I guess. However, the problem that I have noticed between the latest 3 new ID Organizations is owners taking on too many fighters on there roster, end up getting overwhelmed an quit. Then eventually there only becomes 2 prominent mega orgs per ID and the rest dissolve. Just make sure you have a big team around you and to cut fighters and get rid of managers that are not active. It is a hassle to be a matchmaker with this constant problem. Look up Stoner Fight League for example, there is soo many of us on the roster that if one person becomes overwhelmed someone else can pick up the slack. Like my first write up I struggled but there are at least three other ppl on our admin roster that are wayyy better than me at it. Hope this helped.
  18. I probably go through at least 10 duds to get one fighter with elite hiddens. I dont even give them a good avatar till they prove they are worthy of being on my team lol.
  19. On the noob help forum you will find a thread call "everything you need to know about fighter creation". Choose one style of fighter and get good at sliders with that style. Then after every analyze what you did wrong with your soldiers and adjust after every fight. Then repeat with the next type of style of fighter. I have been doing this since I started this game.
  20. Hello all. Recently I started creating more striking oriented fighters since they are easier to train. I have also been giving them Escapes as well. However I was reading the engine changes a few months ago and Mike said that "transitions are used for standups from the top position,". Not sure where the forum link because it is an old thread is but I will try to find it later on today Is this true as of 2020? Because if that is the case, we should see more stand up fighters using transitions to escape from an opponent's guard combined with their escapes if they get taken down. That is way more effective than lay and pray from being pulled into a top guard position and gambling that your opponent has bad intelligence and can't sub you from bottom guard.
  21. ? my fighter Ademaro dos Anjos rocked a fighter at very high accuracy in the third round. You just need the right sliders and gameplan. https://www.mmatycoon.com/fightcommentary.php?FTID=1013722
  22. O ok I didn't know that you meant the "super extreme" version of those builds. In that case I agree.
  23. I respectfully disagree. As far as the physical freaks and the usain bolt geeks I find it more rewarding to beat an opponent that is using a cookie cutter build and gets knocked out anyway lol. Everyone is beatable with the right sliders.
  24. I'm going to be doing an experiment and writing a forum soon to see whether heavier wrestle boxer fighters and using the sauna to see if the advantage from being big in a smaller weight class will aid a fighter that already has KO power and a larger weight advantage. I'm an advocate for people that like to go low in weight because fighters that are grapplers have a disadvantage because high escapes & defensive grappling pretty much nullifies a wrestler or submission artist unless that grappler has intelligence to couple with it. I don't think it a clear cut yes or no answer whether or not a fighter can go lighter or heavier imo. That is why most people that hate fighters that go 5+ under the weight class create average height fighters with their weight right at the weight class, for example a 170 fighter that weighs 170 that is 5'11. Again this is a gray area conversation though.
  25. For my grapplers I like to use the 5 pounds under for the lighter weight classes but 24 pounds under is just trying to achieve ninja like speed and counters at that point lol. I wouldn't accept fight vs a guy that is 24 pounds less than one of my fighters unless it was middleweight or heavyweight.
