  1. BLAZE 7 - HARMS VS HOFFMAN PREVIEW ANTONIO URBINA (2-2) VS SEAN O MALLEY (0-1) - 145lbs A featherweight matchup between two fighters with completely different styles. Antonio Urbina has good wrestling and BJJ skills and will surely want this fight to be on the ground. Sean O Malley, on the other hand, has superior boxing and muay thai skills will want to make a statement in his BLAZE debut. JUAN CARLOS (0-0) VS BEN HORNBY (0-2-1) - 155lbs Juan Carlos making him MMA debut will be going against Ben Hornby who is looking for his first win after suffered devastating losses and decisions. Hornby has the boxing advantage while Carlos has the muay thai advantage. Both fighters are pretty even in their wrestling skills so this should be a fun one. ERADIUS AQUILES (0-0) VS BRAD INCONS (0-2) - 185lbs Eradius Aquiles making his debut fight against Incons who is still searching for his first MMA win. It would be a terrible start for Incons career if he loses against a debuting fighter. What we have been told by some of Aquiles's training partners in the Tycoon Gym is that he is the "real deal" We will have to see for ourselves come Thursday night. DARIUS PERSEU (0-0) VS GWAFA HAZID (0-1) - 170lbs Our next features two inexperienced welterweights looking to make a mark in BLAZE MMA. Perseu is known from his amuater career for his excellent wrestling skills. We are unaware of how he does standing up but we do know how good Hazid's muay thai skills are. So, expect this fight to be very interesting. BROOKLYN SUTTON (0-0) vs SUTARJO SUKARMAN (0-1) - 170lbs Another fight similar to some of the previous fights. Sutton making his MMA debut will be going against a hungry opponent in Sukarman looking for his first MMA win. Sutton likes to fight on the ground and use his wrestling skills and Sukarman is known to have good wrestling skills. This should be a bore fest for the casuals but an exciting bout for all the wrestling lovers. SAWYER SEAN (1-2) VS TREVOR LOWE (1-1) - 185lbs Talking about casuals, this should be an exciting one for all fans. Both fighters have ultimate KO power and each have 1 KO of the Night to their names. Sean has mastered the art of boxing while Lowe has incredible muay thai skills. Dont blink in this fight because this could be over quick! DOWNTOWN MALONE (0-0) VS MACK LE GRAND (0-0) - 185lbs Two fighters making their debut fight in the Hayashi's Lounge and this one should be fireworks! We have done our research on both fighters and we can tell you that Malone has good punching and kicking skills while Le Grand has an incredible arsenal of eight limbs. Expect this one to be over quick. BEN ASKREN (3-0) VS DANIEL PALAKIKO (2-1) - 170lbs The number 1 ranked welterweight Ben Askren will going up against the number 3 ranked welterweight Daniel Palakiko. Askren has dominant wrestling abilities while Palakiko has great punching power. Lots at stake here as both fighters will attempt to show their dominance in this division. We were fortune enough to catch up with both fighters for an interview. Interview with Ben Askren MEDIA : What do you think of your opponent Daniel Palakiko? BEN ASKREN : He's not too bad, but he's just a kid and he never prepared a training camp, he's too inexperienced to step to someone like me. It's gonna be his baddest nightmare. He just fought bums, with me it's gonna end really soon. MEDIA : How have you been able to stay undefeated throughout your career so far? BEN ASKREN : That is because I'm so versatile, of course I'm a wrestler and this is what I do best, but my striking is so much better than what it looks like, in fact I was able to score some punches on an excellent boxer as Steve Stone and to avoid most of his strikes. I'm from team " Altieri", I train with fighters like Taylor, Hughes, Nick Diaz, we do not joke, we're in this world to dominate! MEDIA : What is your strategy for this fight? BEN ASKREN : I'm gonna box a little bit and then use my superior wrestling and BJJ to destroy him in the first round, there's no way he's gonna come to the second Interview with Daniel Palakiko MEDIA : Ben recently said that you are "inexperienced" and "will destroy you in the first round". What do you make of these comments? DANIEL PALAKIKO : If I'm being honest, it doesn't make much sense, I have three fights, he also has three fights, makes me question the man's intelligence. As far as claims of destroying me in one round the only person he's finished in one round was a 1 and 5 bum to go along with the rest of his opponents with losing records. MEDIA : How has training been for you? DANIEL PALAKIKO : Training has been great, I've gotten a lot done and improved my game to beat Ben MEDIA : How does it feel that you are going to make your debut in BLAZE MMA? DANIEL PALAKIKO : I am super excited to come in to Blaze finally, I'm also so excited to give a can crusher like Ben his first loss. DEAN WORISH (3-0) VS TAKASHI MURAKAMI (2-0) -185lbs The co main event of BLAZE 7 features two undefeated middleweight fighters who are looking to become the next 185lb champion. Both fighters will be looking to use their ground game to their favor but one fighter will have to have their perfect record tarnished. CHRIS HARMS (4-0) VS TROY HOFFMAN (1-2) - 185lbs The main event of the evening is a middleweight fight with two superior athletes. Harms has a tremendous wrestling and grappling background and is looking to keep his MMA record perfect against a hard hitting fighter in Troy Hoffman. Hoffman also has solid wrestling abilities so this sight should be Harms' biggest test in his career. There we have it folks, I am looking forward to these fights an I know you all are BLAZE fans. Once again, shoutout to MKFC for sponsoring us and hooking us up with some fresh gear. Good luck to all of the fighters and remember to BLAZE IT UP! #TEAMBLAZE.
  2. BLAZE 6 - FLAMES REVIEW A fight packed event in Hasashi's Lounge, St Petersburg with may knockouts and submersion victories. As usual this event was sponsored by MKFC, here's how it went down! JON HILL VS WILLY KIMBER Jon Hill comes into the fight focused and and Kimber comes in calm. The fight begins and Hill takes Kimber to the ground. That was a huge mistake for Hill as Kimber quickly attempts a kimura lock in which Hill defends well. Kimber controlling the fight on the ground here, don't know why Hill went for the takedown. Kimber is still looking for a submission here and he gets it! A brutal armbar forces Hill to tap and Kimber to get his first MMA win. MIGHTY WARRIOR VS AMBROOS DE VRIES De Vries begins the fight with a clinch and lands a wicked uppercut. That shot gave Warrior a cut above the eye. Now, De Vries is landing a barrage of punches. Oh my, this may be over quick! De Vries is landing every shot at will and Mighty Warrior is not helping himself with his defense. We are now halfway through round 1 and Warrior is gassed at the moment. De Vries lands a beautiful right hook to the body that rocks Warrior! De Vries lands a thrilling uppercut and a couple more shots before the ref stops the fight! JORGE HERNAN RAMIREZ PENA VS DWARVEN KING WARHELMET An exciting 155lb bout begins with Ramirez Pena landing some good early leg kicks. A slow start here for King Warhelmet as he is getting tagged quite a bit here in the 1st round. The fight goes to the ground and Ramirez Pena is looking for a submission here. Nice position for Warhelmet to stop the submission attempt. Both fighters looking for submission here before the round comes to a close. Round 2 begins and Warhelmet shoots for a takedown. Both fighters on the ground for the entire round looking for submissions here. And that's it for round 2, not a lot of fans happy here with the action. Round 3 begins and with no surprise, the fight is on the ground. Ramirez Pena looking for a triangle choke here and he got it! Its tight and Warhelmet is forced to tap. What a win for Jorge Hernan Ramirez Pena! SAEID GHOLIZADEH VS IVAN DA BLOOD The fight begins and both fighters landing some clean shots here. Now it seems like Gholizadeh is controlling the fight here as he is landing some good shots with ease here. Uppercuts, hooks, body shots, you name it! This looks like Gholizadeh may get a knockout win very soon. And now, Gholizadeh lands a big uppercut which gets Da Blood to the ground. Couple more ground shots forces the ref to stop the fight! What a knockout victory for Saeid Gholizadeh. LIK REN VS HIROYUKI SHIMADA The fight begins and Shimada gets an easy takedown. He's controlling the ground really well here. Nice elbows and ground and pounds landing for Shimada. Not a lot of action there in round 1. Lets go to round number 2, where Shimada gets a takedown here. Ren doing a good job not allowing Shimada to get a submission attempt. Some good strikes for Shimada as he lands a couple of elbows to Ren's forehead. Shimada sees that Ren is hurt and is hitting him with some good shots and Ren can't defend so the ref is forced to stop this one! Shimada gets a loud cheer from the crowd for his TKO victory! DARKEN STORMY VS MAGOMED MHIAOLOV The bell rings and Mhiaolov clinches. Stormy breaks the clinch and lands a right hand. Mhiaolov takes Stormy down with a wild suplex! Wow, he really showed his strength there! He is now looking for a submission and works from the back and tightens a rear naked choke. This one is tight and over! What a win for Magomed Mhialov! BALDY BALDINGTON VS TIMMER JONES We are underway in this fight as Baldington fails a couple of takedown attempts early on. Jones doing a great job early on not allowing Baldington take him down and landing some good punches. It looks to me like Baldington didn't have a plan B in case his takedowns didn't work. Timmer Jones lands a couple more shots before the round comes to a close. Round 2 begins and Jones goes for the takedown! It seems like Baldington underestimated Jones wrestling because he is outclassing him here tonight. Baldington is looking for a submission but finds no luck. Final round begins and Baldington should look for a finish as he should be down on all cards right now. Jones dominated the entire round, landing big shot after big shot. Wow, it shoudl suprise everyone if Baldington can survive this round and he does. The final bell ring as we go to the decision. All 3 judges call for a 30:24 victory for Timmer Jones! What a dominating win for Jones as all 3 judges had him winning each round by 2 points. STIPE MIOCIC VS JACQUES GABRIEL This should be an interesting fight as Gabriel had a lot to say in his pre fight interview about Miocic. Gabriel showing his skill here as the fight begins, landing uppercuts and good jabs. Miocic is looking for the takedown but Gabriel doing a good job keeping this fight standing. Gabriel lands a vicious right hook which send Miocic to the ground. He lets Miocic get up and lands a terrifying left hook and some ground strikes before the ref stops this one! The crowd seemed to love that knockout from Jacques Gabriel. JACK RIDER VS ILYA ALEXYEV Our co-main event of the evening features two premier punchers in the super heavyweight division, this should be a fun one! Alexyev misses some punches early on. Now, Rider lands a head kick that stuns Alexyev! Alexyev looking to survive the round by clinching but Rider does a good job breaking the clinch and lands another clean heavy leg kick that knocks Alexyev out cold! What a statement win for Rider as he gets the 32 seconds knockout highlight reel! ATTILA THE HUN VS HASH BARE The main event of BLAZE 6 begins as both fighters make their entrance to the arena. Hash Bare quickly takes down The Hun and this should be interesting. We haven't really seen The Hun on the ground often in his previous fights. There isn't much action in the ground so the ref decides to let the fighters stand up and The Hun lands a beautiful uppercut which sends Bare to the ground. Bare is in real trouble here as The Hun is consistently landing big shots to the head. The Hun finally gets a big shot when he lands cleanly with a thrilling uppercut that sends Bare to the cage. A couple more shots and the ref finally steps in! The fight is over and what a victory to show that Attila The Hun is the real deal! And that's it for another quality BLAZE event. I hope you all enjoyed that and remember to BLAZE IT UP! $1000 Fighter Awards Fight of the Night : Jacques Gabriel Vs Stipe Miocic KO of the Night : Jack Rider SUB of the Night : Magomed Mhialov
  3. BLAZE 6 - FLAMES PREVIEW BLAZE MMA presents another 10 fight event in Hasashi's Lounge, St Petersburg sponsored by MKFC. There should be some exciting bouts showcasing the variety of talent we got here. JON HILL (0-1) VS WILLY KIMBER (0-2) - 155lbs Our first fight of the evening will be two fighters trying to get their first MMA win. Jon Hill, making his BLAZE debut, has a clear advantage in Mauy Thai and wrestling. Willy Kimber will need to shock everyone to possibly steal this one. Kimber is training alongside his twin brother Billy Kimber who has an MMA record of 6-0 and is dominating the 185 division. Maybe he can teach him some BJJ moves to get the shocking upset victory. MIGHTY WARRIOR (1-1) VS AMBROOS DE VRIES (0-1) - 265+lb This super heavyweight fight should be a fun one. Both fighters have an exceptional stand up game and we should expect a knockout in this one. Mighty Warrior lost his last fight in BLAZE 3 against Jack Rider and is making sure to train hard for this bout. Ambroos De Vries is looking to follow his family fighting tradition and he definitely needs a win in his record to be invited to future family dinners. Having brothers like Tjeeerd De Vries, Schuyler De Vries, Timo De Vries and being the son of the great Hans De Vries, there is an added pressure to win. JORGE HERNAN RAMIREZ PENA (0-1) VS DWARVEN KING WAWHELMET (1-1) - 155lbs Man I feel bad for the announcer whos going to say these fighters names. Anyways after both fighters were eliminated from the 155lb Tournament, a win for one of them will be massive as it will show that they belong with the top fighters in this division. Ramirez Pena will try to keep this fight standing up while King Warhelmet will try to fight on the ground where he has an advantage in. SAEID GHOLIZADEH (1-0) VS IVAN DA BLOOD (0-1) - 265+lbs After winning fight of the night in BLAZE 3, Gholizadeh will be looking to use his momentum against Da Blood. Gholizadeh has an advantage in boxing and wrestling while Da Blood is a better Muay Thai fighter. LIK REN (0-1) VS HIROYUKI SHIMADA (0-1) - 155lbs Both fighters are looking to add a win to their MMA records here. Ren has a tremendous right hand while Shimada will be looking to use his muay thai and wrestling advantage in this one. DARKEN STORMY (0-1) VS MAGOMED MHIAOLOV (2-1) - 185lbs The next fight features Stormy who is looking for his first MMA win and Mhialov who recently got his 2nd BLAZE win against Brad Incons. This should be an exciting bout as both fighters have knockout power. BALDY BALDINGTON (1-0) VS TIMMER JONES (0-0) - 145lbs Baldington is coming off a QFC submission victory while Jones is making his first MMA appearance. A lot of BLAZE fans don't know much about either fighters but I can guarantee you guys will love this one. Baldington is a great all around fighter and can do it all. Jones is looking to follow the footsteps of his brothers Jimmer, Sleepy, and Drippy. STIPE MIOCIC (0-1) VS JACQUES GABRIEL (1-0) - 185lbs Here we have two solid all around fighters that are looking to make an impact on this division. Miocic will definitely try to use his muay thai skills to his advantage while Gabriel will sure like to knock out Miocic after getting a decision victory in his last fight. Jacques Gabriel was nice enough to have an interview with a BLAZE reporter last night. REPORTER : What do you think of your opponent Stipe Miocic? JACQUES GABRIEL : I think Stipe is a fine person but, I don't think he is cut out for MMA. I've already seen from his first fight that he isn't ready to be a top tier MMA fighter. This isn't a knock on him but, he should've taken his parent's advice and became a doctor. I can't wait to show him why he doesn't belong in an MMA cage. REPORTER : How have you prepared for this fight? JACQUES GABRIEL : I've made sure I'm fully energized and at full morale. I've prepped for his tactics with my manager. I know my strengths and my opponents weaknesses and I believe in my boxing skills. I have the knowledge and physical ability to win this fight. REPORTER : You were not ranked top five in your weight class in the latest weekly rankings. Where do you see yourself rank among 185lb fighters in BLAZE MMA? JACQUES GABRIEL : When I win my fight at BLAZE 6 with a powerful knock out punch then I think I deserve to be ranked in the top five. It's understandable why I'm ranked so low I haven't proven myself yet but, when I do I fully expect to be ranked and be considered one of the top threats of the division. REPORTER : Any last words? JACQUES GABRIEL : I want to thank BLAZE for giving me a contract, I want to thank Saklain Javid for offering me an interview and doing a great job running BLAZE. I want to thank MKFC for sponsoring BLAZE and many of their fighters. Most importantly I want to thank all my fans in Canada and Russia for cheering me on! JACK RIDER (2-0) VS ILYA ALEXYEV (3-1) - 265lbs+ Our co-main event of the night will be a fun one. Top fighters from the super heavyweight division fighting to prove that they are worth contenders of the vacant super heavyweight championship. Both fighters with terrific boxing and muay thai skills, both fighter wont even touch the ground unless they get knocked out! Rider coming off a KO of the night victory is looking to stay undefeated and Alexyev is hoping to use the momentum from beating Trevor Love in his last fight and win big this fight. ATTILA THE HUN (3-0) VS HASH BARE (0-0) - 265lbs+ And finally the main event features two super heavyweight fighters, one making his BLAZE debut and the other making his MMA debut. The Hun will be looking to use his experience and knockout power to get an inch closer to the belt. Bare is hoping to use his all around skill and athleticism to make this fight tough for The Hun. Fight fans, this is what you all been waiting for! I hope all of the fans enjoy this card and I wish good luck to all of the fighters. BLAZE IT UP!
  4. The Island is starting in January???
  5. BLAZE 155lb TOURNAMENT ROUND 2 ------- REVIEW BLAZE 155lb Tournament Round 2 is officially over. Some celebrated as they advanced to the next round and some were very disappointed with their performance. Lets take a look at some of the amazing fights we just had in the Hayashi's Lounge! KHABIB CHIMAEV VS BEN HORNBY This is a rematch from the controversial decision which many believe Chimaev should've won. He is looking to making a statement tonight and not leave the decision to the judges. Both fighters look to use the ground game to their advantage. Round 1 was very close as two judges saw that as a 10-10 round. Chimaev went on to destroy Hornby in the 2nd and 3rd round. The fight was won by Khabib Chamev, by unanimous decision, thank god the judges didn't mess it up this time. Hornby looks upset that he didn't get the decision, but he should be glad that he wasn't finished earlier by Chimaev's submission attempts. MATT HUGHES VS SCOTTY DEGUARDIO Many believed that this should've been the main event of the evening. It should be a very interesting fight as Hughes as a tremendous ground game and DeGuardio has a punching chance to make this fight over. Hughes, smartly takes this fight to the ground. DeGuardio trying his best to make this a standup fight but Hughes keeps applying pressure. Hughes lands an elbow that the ref nearly called illegal, he's definitely thankful for that. Later on in round 1, Hughes gets in position and forces DeGuardio to tap from an armbar. Great BJJ shown by Hughes there! DEMETRIUS CADMO VS TUT KAMAN Next up is Cadmo vs Kaman. Both fighters are solid wrestlers, so this will probably be a bore fest for the casual MMA fans. And as I'm writing this, sure enough Cadmo takes down Kaman. Cadmo is looking for the submission but Kaman is doing a great job in not letting him get in position. Round 1 ends and fight fans in the arena give both fighters loud boos. I guess Cadmo heard the fans disappointment because he gets very aggressive in the beginning of round 2. Cadmo takes Kaman down and locks in a kimura lock in which Kaman taps ferociously. Holy moly, Cadmo did all that in 25 seconds of round number 2. Cadmo was very happy as he told his fans to follow him on Twitter. CARCARAH CATARTES VS MARTINS VORANOVSKIS Catartes is a major favorite in this fight and it would be shocking to see him lose this one. The fight begins and Catartes lands some good early shots to his opponent. Voranovskis looks unfazed and takes down Catartes. Oh no, this is not where Catartes wants to be right now. Voranovskis showing his improved ground game from his last fight here in round 1. Voranovskis grabs a hold of Catartes's arm and its tight and WOW Catartes has tapped. Its all over, what a shocking upset here for BLAZE fans. Voranovskis is ecstatic after his win while Catartes is very disappointed. ELAY ARSON VS GAIDER NABIEV Elay Arson is predicted, by many people, to win this tournament and become the first BLAZE 155lb champion. However, first he has to go through Gaider Nabiev. Nabiev is a massive underdog in this fight but is very confident in his skills. The fight begins and Arson is landing a good amount of elbows and kicks. This fight could be over in no time if Nabiev doesn't protect himself. Arson lands a beautiful elbow that lands cleanly on Nabiev's jaw. Nabiev is down and Arson lands a couple of more shots before the referee is forced to stop the fight. What a statement victory for Elay Arson. RYAN WILLIAMS VS VITOR DONATO Ryan Williams makes his entrance and has a cold demeanor, he isn't playing around here! The fight begins and Williams quickly takes down Donato. Vitor Donato looks overwhelmed on the ground, it certainly looks like he never fought here before. Williams is having his way here so far in the round, landing big shots after big shots. Doanto is getting SMASHED here in this round and many fans in the arena are pleading to the ref to stop the fight. Eventually, the ref stops the fight after 3 minutes of round number 1. Williams certainly made a statement after that fight, 23 ground strikes in total after 3 rounds! DOBS BRECKIN VS VLADMIR ZHANNA The co main event features Breckin who is nearly better at almost everything than Zhanna and is looking to advance to the next round of the tournament with ease. Zhanna, on the other hand, is very confident and is hoping he can pull off the upset. The begins and Breckin lands some good early punching. Zhanna is overwhelmed with all of the pressure coming from Breckin. Zhanna is constantly getting his face hammered and this could go be over quick! Zhanna is clearly trying to make this a ground game but Breckin is doing a good job defending the takedowns. Zhanna on wobbly legs getting beaten up badly now. Fans in the arena cheering for Zhanna's impeccable heart here. WOW, how much shots can a man take! Breckin finally lands a thunderous left hook which gets Zhanna down. After a couple of ground shots, the ref stops the fight. Zhanna went on social media right after the fight to say his hand broke a couple of days before the fight. Fans didn't buy his excuse and he is currently the biggest meme on the internet. DARRION MCKEE VS FREDDY SALAMANCA The highly anticipated main event is finally here. Darrion McKee is trying to prove that he is not "all hype" which many BLAZE fighters have claimed he is. His opponent, Freddy Salamanca is a huge underdog and would be a Columbian national hero if he somehow win this fight. McKee dominated all 3 rounds and won the fight by unanimous decision. He kept the fight on the ground and tried to make Salamanca tap but his opponent did a great job in not giving up the back. McKee was happy that he advanced to the next round of the tournament but was a bit disappointed in his performance. He promised that he will do better in his next fight. This was a great event that the fans loved. Congrats to the fighters who will advance to the next round of the tournament and I can't thank all the fighters that were involved enough. Also, shoutout to our org sponsor, MKFC, for always hooking up everyone with fight gear. And lastly, thank you to our wonderful fans who are apart of #TEAMBLAZE!
