  1. @bjornmma1 honestly I really thought Stackhouse was going to win that one! Congrats dude. This is why I stopped making predictions lol
  2. Bellicose: Daverio vs Dell Live from Hard Knocks, a night of hard hitting action is presented before us. With a Heavyweight Headliner and two Featherweight Champions set to face off we will witness a true battle for supremacy for the Featherweight Crown. We are expecting a sold out crowd of 3,000 to be in attendance. We hope you guys enjoy the show! Good luck to all the managers and fighters coming out tomorrow! #C Mateo Daverio vs Joshi Dell #1 Featherweight Championship Fight Tomorrow night, the former BMF Champion, Joshi Dell (5-1) will be taking on the Bellicose Featherweight Champion, Mateo Daverio (4-0). This is by all accounts is the most anticipated fight of the weekend and I am here for it. Joshi Dell makes his entrance into the Bellicose roster and having finished four of his five opponents knows a thing or two about getting the job and is considered wildly dangerous anywhere this matchup will go. With two wins coming by knockout and two coming by way of submission Dell is being considered the favorite by many Bellicose fans. I had a chance to reach out to Daverios camp and they find themselves completely calm with the matchup stating they recognize the strengths of Dell but also recognize his weaknesses. Daverio, the current Featherweight Champion of Bellicose won the title when he defeated ground and pound, and now retired, Patrick Bateman in what was an explosive display of martial arts expertise. Being that this is his actual first title defense, it will be extremely exciting for us as fans to witness a collision of two up stars in the Bellicose world and this is my pick for fight of the night. #5 Harrison Cutler vs Xander Montgomery #4 Lightweight Matchup Two lightweights looking to continue to climb the ranks are set to meet in the octagon tomorrow night as (3-1) Harrison Cutler looks to get his fourth straight tko victory when he battles Xander Montgomery (6-2). The two combatants will have very different agendas coming into this one as Montgomery will aim to secure his seventh victory and really put himself in the champions sight by earning another submission victory, but to do that he would hope to outlast the strikes put forth by the man who has the ability to put you in unconscious in Cutler. With only a month apart in their beginning of their mma careers they should find themselves pretty equal in stats and it will mostly boil down to the trainers dictating the game plan. Montgomery will appear to be the underdog in this matchup but should the fight go to the ground at any point fight fans should keep their eyes peeled at all costs as this guy will be relentless in his submission attempts against Cutler. #4 Arnaud Coleman vs Hristo Borisov #UR Light Heavyweight Matchup Arnaud Coleman (5-0) has entered Bellicose and within just 12 seconds put his opponent in an unconscious state and in retirement. The very real threat that is Coleman has been called out by the champion in Ike Wellstone and with a win over Hristo, he may very well get it. His upcoming opponent has every bit of confidence in his takedown ability and securing the submission against Coleman before the end of the first. Hristo Borisov (3-1) is desperately trying to break into the top five of the division and to get a win over Coleman will certainly put him on the map for all to see. Its a true matchup of two different martial artists a boxer vs a Jiu Jitsu guy. I think by all accounts we should expect this matchup to end before the end of the first round and I would put money on it that this will either become the Submission or Knockout of the night. #UR Aleksi Saari vs Alonnus Parker #UR Light Heavyweight Matchup Parker vs Saari has all the makings of a classic mma bout. With two guys looking to finally break into the top of their divisions so much is on the line. Parker who is coming off his first career loss via guillotine feels no real threat from the submission skills of Saari and believes that due to his age he will have a significant amount of experience over his opponent. Rumors have begun to spread that Pakers morale has been dipping lower as of late and Saari is banking on punishing Parker every time he slips up. This has a real potential in going the distance but if I was completely honest, one of these two guys will undoubtedly be finished by the other in what will surely bring the fans to their feet.
  3. Bellicose: Burtha vs Vedran Preview Live from Paddy O'Malleys Bar, a night of hard hitting action is presented before us. With a Heavyweight Headliner and two middleweight top contender matchups we will witness a shakeup of two divisions after tomorrow nights finished. We are expecting a sold out crowd of 700 to be in attendance. We hope you guys enjoy the show! Good luck to all the managers and fighters coming out tomorrow! #5 Big Burtha vs Vedran Mihaljevic #2 Two of the top five heavyweights come to blows tomorrow night as both put their undefeated streak on the line in hopes of claiming their fifth victory and being considered next in line for the coveted Bellicose Heavyweight Championship! Burtha loves to employ the clinch where he completely crushes his opponent within seconds and when he squares off with Vedran it will no doubt be the toughest test of his career. Mihaljevic, who is considerably dangerous in the clinch himself, has such a high accuracy rate when it comes to striking that he is being regarded as the best puncher in Bellicose. The biggest question I have for this fight is how will Burtha perform after switching managers and switching gyms. Now that he is no longer with RUNT will he come out as aggressive as ever or will we see a slow decline in his ability? With Vedran, we have a similar question but I believe we have an answer in that as we have seen him fight twice under his new manager. Fight fans are in for an absolute treat with this one as we can expect the division to be rattled with dynamite power tomorrow when these two monsters finally get the chance to exchange. #4 Jake Paul vs John Brown #1 Former BMF champion, John Brown (4-0) takes on one of Bellicoses fastest rising stars in Jake Paul (3-0)! Paul, who has absolutely ran through his competition and is on the fast track for becoming the next in line for the Bellicose title. Unfortunately, since the collapse of BMF, Bellicose was able to bring in many of the BMF fighters and John Brown who was originally set to face off against the Bellicose champion was asked to take on the number four guy in Bellicose. They both quickly accepted and it is no surprise that the winner of this fight may very well be next in line for a title shot. Brown is appearing to be the stronger and more dangerous opponent out of the two. At the age of 27, Brown looks to be more experienced than a lot of his counterparts. With such a dangerous ground game, he will aim to take down Paul within the opening seconds but the level of wrestling that Paul has may be more than enough to stuff and counter with devastating force. It is no question what either of these fighters will aim to do tomorrow, its a question of who gets it done first! #2 Tim Hortonvs Hick Diaz #5 A rivalry that began back in BMF, Tim Horton (5-0) and Hick Diaz (5-1) were steadily progressing through a tournament chasing after the gold. When these two finally squared off it was Horton the nineteen year old Canadian who walked away with the victory. The two purple belts had a strong desire to get back in there and finally squash the beef. Tim Horton, a dangerous knockout artist was quick to ask for the grudge match and put the finishing touches on the matchup between the two but fight fans are well aware that Hick Diaz is no slouch when it comes to submissions and may be able to pull off something that would shock the Canadian crowd. The Bellicose faithful are very curious how this one will shape out and potentially see one of these guys next in line for the title shot. We are hours away before these two finally step in and this is my pick for fight of the night. I can not wait for this grudge match and I would not be surprised if we see a different outcome than we did in their last meet up! #UR Bobby Saturnvs Slobba Dahutt #UR Finishers. Ladies and Gentleman we have two super sized heavyweights who will aim to get their third victory in their career by destroying the other one. Slobba Dahutt (2-0) has made his way in Bellicose by forcing the doctors to stop fights due to cuts. He beat a guy so bad the doctor had to stop the fight due to blood in the very first round...Bobby Saturn (2-0) has these hands that you would think were Thors hammers. He hits so hard not only hear the thud you feel it! We know both of these guys will be fixing to get a stoppage in the first round and honestly, we should expect just that. This match screams violence and allow me to say it now, I would imagine at some point down the road these two will meet once again. #UR Temujin Atkirayvs Petr Vrabec #UR This is one of the most compelling matchups for me. Temujin Atkiray (3-1) has finally arrived after his QFC stunt and looks to engage a former BMF and now Bellicose warrior in Petr Vrabec (2-2). The two 19 year olds are honestly aiming to get to the top of the mix in their division and win over another will propel them further up the ladder. The matchup on paper may at first seem wildly unfair but when you consider Vrabec is been training two months longer than Atkiray you may begin to second guess that. The goal of this fight is simple, Atkiray has to keep this fight on the feet at all costs where Vrabec will aim to pull gaurd or takedown Atkiray and force the submission. This is going to be a true test of skill and I have no idea who wins this one. Atkiray, primarily known for his ability to knockout his opponents will find joy in knowing that Vrabec has been finished before, however he will find a mental blockade in knowing his one loss comes by way of submission and that is where Vrabec excels.
  4. SYN 843 The Preview Herb Krison vs Dylan Peterson Welterweight Championship Fight Krison vs Peterson is one of those fights that has everyone's mouth watering for the action that will go down. You have two high level martial artists at the peak of their game about to go mayhem against one another in a five round scheduled bout. Dylan Peterson (20-7) is currently on a five fight winning streak out scoring his opponents and forces the takedowns to pummel them on the ground. His ground and pound is absolutely terrifying landing hellacious shots on his opponents who he often makes look like fish out of water. Despite being well known for taking his opponents down and bashing their brains in, Peterson is also quite skilled in his stand up. Often a bit reserved in his striking he tends to throw shots he knows he can land. When he takes on Herb Krison (38-20-1) he will have to be more accurate than ever as the Champion is not one to let an opponent escape danger so easily. Often throwing a multitude of strikes, Krison is as dangerous as they come when it is in the striking range. Having been taken down before in some of his previous matchups you can bet that Krison knows exactly what his opponents game plan is and will look to counter it every step of the way. Krison, who avenged his most recent loss, will probably have a mental mountain to climb in taking on a guy who is known for both his grappling as well as his knockouts. In a fight of this magnitude for the welterweight strap, I truly believe we will see these two competitors at their very best. I think the winning strategy for Krison is to know he can not take this opponent lightly and be ready to punish him when he throws any of his wild strikes but at the same time to know that Peterson has the ability to knock him into orbit if he lets his guard down at the slightest. Domenico Mazziotti vs Jason Stackhouse Lightweight Matchup Two guys who are the very top of the lightweight division square off in what will hopefully propel their career in the right direction. Domenico Mazziotti (27-9-1) Is a former SYN and former Alpha-1 Champion. Since his arrival into SYN, Mazziotti has a record of 3-2 with one of those wins being a highly debated split decision. With skeptics and naysayers lurking around the corner, Mazziotti looks to prove that he truly is the best lightweight in the world by stopping Stackhouse in violent fashion and collecting his 16th knockout victory. His opponent in Jason Stackhouse (23-10-2) is undeniably one of the biggest threats in the entire division and considers that Mazziotti will not make it to hear the end of the 2nd round before he is laid unconscious. Stackhouse, who has scored twenty knockouts himself, knows a thing or two about putting the lights out. With a very aggressive skill set, Stackhouse looks to unleash his fists the moment the bell sounds. It was just about a month ago now when the mma world stood up in disbelief as Stackhouse had missed most of his shots against Osiris and was finished in the first 90 seconds of the fight. He was so out of it that when the interviewer came up to him he said, "if a tree falls in the woods, its still a tree aint it?" Not many people understood this but many were concerned about his health and still many are wondering if he is getting in the cage too soon against a phenom like Mazziotti. I had a chance to connect wtih Stackhouse's gym mates who shared with me that they are fully confident in Stackhouses ability to bounce back and that Mazziotti will be fully surprised at how he has improved. Mazziotti, who was completely outpointed in his last outing against the Champion Bathory. Bathory out struck him in every single way and according to reports from the Gym of Mazziotti, he is looking to that title shot once again and completely destroy anyone who gets in his way. SYN PREVIEW 844 Marcello Sosa vs Do Ho Joy Featherweight Championship When Marcello Sosa came into Syn, the world stood silent. There was so much hype around his arrival but a genuine disbelief encircled many minds that the young Columbian from the cartels could actually compete with the likes of Sitsongrit. In a very close decision, Sosa pulled off the victory after controlling the clinch and putting Sitsongrit, a once two division champion, in a losing streak. Sosa, who now looks to take aim and fire at the division will find himself glaring at Do Ho Joy on Sunday Night in a match that is sure to generate massive hype for the division. Typically known for his knockouts, Do Ho Joy truly enjoys swinging for the fences and dropping his opponents. The South Korean fans go crazy when their warrior goes to do battle and truly hope that this will be his moment he will finally lift the SYN title and be able to parade it like he did with all his past championships. Joy who is nine years older than his opponent in Sosa, believes that his experience will reign supreme and he will be able to pull off the victory come Sunday Night. Tensions have arisen in Los Angeles and there is now reportedly violence in the streets as a gang war has ensued by a Columbian Cartel and the South Korean Mafia. Reports are claiming that this is massively due to the scheduled fight this weekend but there has yet to be any truth to that. We have reached out to Syn leadership and there seems to be no word on any of that. In regards to the actual matchup, I believe we will see Sosa look to engage and dominate in the clinch and Joy prefer to stay in striking range. The Hurricane is not known to be as aggressive as his older opponent but is known to be as violent if not more violent in the cage. I recently was able to connect with some outside sources who shared with me their concern about the outcome of this fight and how the streets of LA will look for this. A hashtag leading up to this matchup has swarmed social media, #SOSASeason is been trending all week. Apparently, Sosa Season is a Hashtag used to describe the fight week for their fighter and the expected performance he will put on for his fans. All in all fight fans, I would say this may not be one you want to watch in bars as there are sure to be fights that break out but expect a full five round brawl that will leave us all amazed at the martial arts caliber of these two guys. Nick Graves vs Summa Sector Welterweight Matchup Two newer Syn fighters who have both recently suffered a loss to the number one contender in Dylan Peterson, look to square off against one another in a welterweight matchup that is expected to shake up the rankings. Nick Graves (46-13), is by all accounts a knockout artist and veteran of the sport. At just 36 years of age he believes he has hit his peak and thinks he has what it takes to be the next Syn champion before the year is over. To do that, he has to get through one tough competitors in Summa Sector (14-3), Despite being relatively new to the mma game, the 29 year old fighting out of Los Angeles will be happy to know he is fighting in his own backyard and believes that the stadium will be chanting his name. This has never been anything that concerned the iron fisted Graves before as he does not mind being considered the underdog or on enemy turf, he just likes to watch his opponents collapse before his very eyes. Both guys will look to keep this fight at striking range while Graves will be a little more focused on utilizing more strikes than his opponent. Summa Sector has never faced an opponent at this dangerous of a level, he will have to be absolutely sure that if he throws he lands as he does not want to be countered by one of those bombs that Graves gives out so freely. Many fight fans have speculated that Sector will be taking this fight to the clinch and look to out perform his opponent there and attempt to score a knockout victory. Although much emphasis has been placed on the Graves knockout ability, much is to be said that Sector has almost all of his wins by knockout as well. What fight fans are being treated to then is a slug fest of epic proportions where we can see either one fall at any point. The question is then do you side with the experience or the youthfulness of a fighter? This will be my prediction for knockout of the night. I can imagine from when that bell sounds every fight fan in LA will be on their feet with a majority chanting Sectors name hoping he can pull it off. Latrobe Arundel vs Conrad Tama Ginty Middleweight Matchup Another two guys relatively new to SYN step in against one another in what is expected to be a real fight of the night contender. Two PFC veterans who never had the chance to square off against one another finally have the opportunity this weekend as Latrobe Arundel (31-8) looks to get back on the winning side of things when he takes aim to knock out Conrad Tama Ginty (23-11). These two fighters who are truly entering the prime of their careers and ready to make a statement sending shockwaves throughout their division. Arundel was formerly recognized around the world as the PFC champion, when SYN took over PFC the Arundel and the rest of the PFC roster merged on over. Since coming into SYN, Arundel has yet find his groove and get on the path of victory. Knowing that Ginty who has gone through several managers recently, may look to expose some of their unfamiliarity and capitalize on it getting the victory. These two men are as elite as it gets and personally I believe this is the beginning of a classic trilogy where we see them square off multiple times in the coming years. Ginty on the other hand has earned quick success since coming over to SYN and believes he can keep that hype going handing Arundel his third loss in a row. This will undeniably be the most tactical of all fights this weekend and personally I am stoked this is on the undercard of the Sosa Joy fight!
  5. RUMOR MILL! Ladies and Gentleman do we have a serious rumor going around that you do not want to miss out. Reports are flooding in that the Light Heavyweight Champion of SYN has just signed a new contract to compete in the Heavyweight Division and will potentially take on the Heavyweight Champion, Kilo Maluga! Earlier today, as you can see by looking at a few posts above, Kilo Maluga had called out the #2 pound for pound king stirring up both excitement and confusion. It would honestly be shocking if Tong Po would move up to fight anyone else than the literal Goat right now. Lets do a quick deep dive and potential fight analysis of these two phenomenal athletes: #2 Tong Po vs Kilo Maluga #1 Since his arrival into Syn, Tong Po has been nothing but devastating putting all four of his Syn opponents in an unconscious state. Po has received legendary status as the martial artist of our time! From head kick knockouts to a barrage of punches there is no question that this guy is one of the absolute greatest strikers that we have ever seen. With all that shared, he is looking to not only move up in weight but compete against arguably the Goat in Kilo "BloodBath" Maluga a fighter who has ran through his opponents putting them in a critical state each and every time. Kilo, the long time holder of the SYN Heavyweight Title is always looking for the next challenger to his throne. Kilo vs Po is not going to be a matchup where two guys look to hold each other against the cage or one guy goes for takedowns every few seconds. This will one hundred percent be a bout that is all about striking. The hype behind this fight could go down as one of the most viewed fights of all time and if it comes to fruition better believe I am buying my tickets for this one. Tong Po was actually once a heavyweight fighter. Not a lot of fans were around back when he first began his martial arts career but he went on to score 17 victories in the 265lbs division. Moving up to Heavyweight is not going to be that big of a problem for Po who is also known to have some world class sparring partners who will be preparing him every step of the way in Jean Claude Marceau and Little Bunny over at Little Lebowski Urban Achievers Gymnasium in New York. When it comes to sparring partners, not many have the caliber of talent in the gym that Convicted Fight Club have and with Kilo training with Al Din, Sosa, and Khan you can imagine he will continue to be more than well prepared for their encounter. Although Maluga is 7 years younger there is a massive advantage in weight for the Champion and if he does in fact battle Po we can be sure he would use that to his advantage. I could see it now. The lights go dark. The Fans begin screaming. The classic gray lights start shining around the stadium. JUNGLE begins to play. Kilo steps out and the crowd goes beserk! He sports his classic Tony Montana Convicted gear. The Heavyweight Champion of the world glaring down his opponent the Light Heavyweight King who has decimated his competition, Tong Po. Po who had just come out to some of his classic muay thai music. The stares between these two could allow us to cut the tension with a knife! Imagine the face off. Imagine when the referee says, "Lets Get it On!" Undoubtedly the most excited for a fight I have ever been! Will we see a knockout in under a minute?! Will we see a flying knee or a thunderous hook? Will we see a five round brawl that gives us a decision half of us disagree with? Will there be buckets of blood? Will we see a two division champion or a Heavyweight Goat emphasize his dominance? I have so many questions! I will be one hundred percent honest and say I saw this fight over the weekend but never thought either fighter would want to take the risk in fighting each other. But if the rumors that we are seeing are real than we have to say that both their managers and fighters are absolute kings for making this happen. This is a fighters fight and I can not wait for the Play By Play of this one. Now because its all still a rumor and we aren't sold I wont do any sort of actual fight analysis but I will say this, I wouldn't expect this fight to happen until late November early December. It is reported that Tong Po is a little injured from his last fight and will need time to recover for that as well as time to bulk up as Kilo walks around at a staggering 260lbs and Po is at a reported 213lbs. Anyway, we will continue to watch how this all unfolds. If you, like me, are dead set on watching this fight, give me a green arrow below!
  6. SYN 839 Previews! (c) Yodsawan Sitsongrit vs Marcello Sosa (1) Featherweight Championship Since his September 12th defeat, Sitsongrit (35-13) took a month off to recuperate and get his mind right before defending his featherweight crown. The fighter who once held both the Bantam and Featherweight Titles now only holds one and will be defending it against arguably the most difficult contender he has ever faced in Marcello "Hurricane" Sosa (18-2-1). Sosa, who like Sitsongrit, is a standup fighter with elite level skills. He trains with some of the most dangerous fighters in the world, like that of Kilo Maluga, Mohammed Kahn and Badr Al Din. Sosa is the real deal and is not always focused on getting a knockout as much as he is focused on getting just getting that victory. Fight fans can expect for this fight to go the distance as neither guy has really ever been stopped by any of their previous opponents. Fight Fans of Syn may not be too familiar with Sosa, but prior to his arrival he was considered the champion of HFC for a long time. Now, the champion of SYN recognizes his rivals arrival and looks to derail the hype train in a performance that will captivate the masses. In comparing their recent stats Sitsongrit is the more aggressive of the two often throwing more strikes on average than Sosa and having higher accuracy in doing so. Critics are concerned that Sosa taking on Sitsongrit will leave him like a deer in the headlights under the bright lights of Syn. So we reached out to his training partner Kilo Maluga, the number one fighter in the world and he just scoffed. What I think we can expect is a very aggressive fight with both fighters looking to make an absolute statement. One guy is coming off a depressing loss of losing his title and the other guy is making massive waves entering into the best organization of the world. It will be a showdown of the very best featherweights in the world and you wont want to miss this one. Save it on your PBP now! (c) Wayne Williams vs Obi Wan Kenobi (1) Bantamweight Championship Recently crowned bantamweight champion, Wayne Williams (34-15) looks to make his first Syn title defense this weekend as he takes on a former rival in Obi Wan Kenobi (22-10-4). In their last outing, a split decision was awarded to Wayne Williams and in the post fight presser he appeared to be shocked that he won the fight. This decision has haunted both fighters for a while and fans of both have often expressed why their fighter won the fight. It is with absoulte importance in this five round matchup both Williams and Kenobi can leave no room for doubt. Williams knows how good Kenobi is at avoiding punches to the head as he avoided over 100 of Williams punches. Whereas Kenobi has to know the incredible output of the talented champion and will look to nullify his exertion of strikes. I imagine this matchup we will see a lot more body strikes than in their last one and a slower more accurate fight. My guess is both of these fighters know the other really well to the point that they must feel they have the fight in the bag but obviously someone is going down this weekend. In looking at Williams battling Sitsongrit for the title we saw one of the most dominant performances in recent history and against one of the very best strikers in the world. No one expected Williams to only focus on his boxing but that is exactly what he did. The question we all have to ask is, where does Kenobi see his advantage in this matchup? My guess is we will see a very damage focused Kenobi who will look to actually out strike the champion, a feat that I don't know if any man could really do! 840 Previews! (C) Ispa Mfer vs Jean Claude Marceau (1) Middleweight Championship In the Middleweight Matchup between Mfer and Jean-Claude Marceau what we are really going to see is a knockout artist hell bent on taking the title from a guy he feels he is better and more experienced than. Marceau and Mfer have crossed paths plenty of times before but have never actually met in the cage with one another. Both long time PFC fighters, we are actually seeing Marceau drop in weight for the first time in his career to take on Mfer and hopefully bring the belt home for France. There is some concern I have overheard from the striking coach of Mfer mostly about the idea that Marceau is probably going to hit harder than he has before after cutting that extra weight, so Mfer has been working diligently on not only his striking defense but his boxing sparring. Although Mfer has knocked out a few guys before, he is not primarily known as a knockout artist so we will probably see him look to outpoint the challenger probably focusing on a lot of body shots. Since his arrival in SYN, Marceau has beaten De Silva, Niska and Van Buren. Notable names at the top of the division and apparently the reason he dropped in weight is because he did not want to fight his main sparring partner and friend, Tong Po who is the Light Heavyweight Champion. Ispa Mfer has probably the most dangerous challenge he could have on his very first title defense and I believe all bets will be wild on this one. (3) Dany Crosby vs Samuel Nti (4) Welterweight Matchup In a match that is sure to elevate one guy to a potential title challenger and send another plummeting down the rankings, fight fans will witness former multi-champion, Dany Crosby (38-18-1) take on Samuel Nti (37-14) who has been sending shockwaves throughout the entire division since his arrival into Syn. Nti is undoubtedly one of the most fearsome welterweights there is in the entire division and a win over Crosby could see him in reaching distance of the Championship shot. Despite both of these guys nearing the age of 40 they are still competing as if they were in their late twenties and showing the world what a true martial artist looks like. This matchup will see guys with vicious intent looking to drop the other within the first round, and honestly it is so very likely that that will be the case. Both of these guys are notorious for their first round finishes and make other fighters nervous to engage with them, this is my pick for fight of the night and another potential for fight of the year. With two phenomenal managers behind these guys it is crystal clear to see that the road for these guys will only continue to go up. I had the opportunity to go out and visit Crosby and his team. "Crosby is going to hurt Nti" This one statement from the boxing coach sent chills down my spine. If its true that both fighters have bad intentions going into this one, it will be vital that we have a medical team on standby. (UR) Vadim Golovkin vs Harry McQuirre (UR) Featherweight Matchup Former Syn champion Vadim Golovkin (28-8-1) has been on the rough end of a three fight losing streak. At onetime he was considered the future Pound for Pound number one and now he is not even considered in the top of his own division. Golovkin has certainly hit some hard times and it appears those hard times may very well continue as he looks to take on the fierce "Goose" Harry McQuirre (26-10). Goose, the former SMASH champion, sees this matchup as an opportunity to reelevate his career if he can beat the guy who was once at the top of the division. His knockout striking and ability to take punishment have both been on question as of late as he has been knocked out in what was one of the most dangerous knockouts we have ever seen and has been unable to score those crazy knockouts that we once saw from him. Now you may ask, Hec, why are you previewing this fight you seem so negative? I am just stating facts and honestly, when you have two highly talented fighters who are at the end of their rope or backs against their wall, you will see them perform like nothing they have ever done before. I am imagining both guys will go out looking to outscore and eventually put away their opponents and this for me is what keeps us glued. I think we can all be pretty excited for this one as these two former champions want to be in the limelight once more and this is the perfect matchup for both of them to get on that track, the question is will they create the perfect game plan or will their game plan be figured out. Someone gets a resurgence in their career this weekend and you better believe I will be illegally streaming this one with all my friends! I am joking Kstacks, I always pay for PPV.
  7. The Boogeymen of Bellicose - A person or thing that is widely regarded as an object of fear. The Boogeymen of Bellicose are some of the top guys that no one really wants to face in all of Bellicose. How can you blame their potential opponents? These guys destroy their opponents, often fought longer, and usually have more skilled managers than some of their opponents. Regularly, these Boogeymen just want to fight and are willing to accept any offer, even if the offer seems ridiculous because no one will take the matchup. Today, we will look at the top five Boogeymen of Bellicose and what looks to be next for them in the coming month. Boris Bors Next Fight: TBD When thinking of Boogeymen, no other name immediately comes to mind than that of Boris Bors. Perhaps its the alliteration or perhaps it is the fact that this guy is as dangerous as they come in the bantamweight division. With a record of 2 wins and 0 defeats, Bors finished both of his opponents in the very first round via knockout. Surely his only weakness we have seen of him is in his wrestling where he was out grappled by his last opponent but time and time again we see numerous fighters pass up the opportunity to square off with Bors as there is a genuine anxiousness about this very skilled 375k 19 year old from Finland. Garyn Girith Next Fight: October 31st Prior to the arrival of his newest opponent from BMF, Alfonzo, the featherweight monster known as Girith found himself curious as to why he could not get an opponent. Girith is an absolute machine and with one loss on his record from Dell, he hopes to avenge that in the very near future. Girith is by all accounts one of our top boogeymen in the rankings as prior to the collapse of BMF, no one wanted anything to do with this Submission superstar. Savage Goon Next Fight: October 9 Now, no one really shoots the opportunity down to face a Goon brother as they know where this puts them in rankings should they win. Almost every single time one of the Goons is matched up you can foresee the event ending badly for the other fighters fans. Goon is a wrecking machine goes for the knockout every single time. All of his wins, come by knockout in the first round. Hank McCoy Next Fight: TBD If you do not know about this kid you need to start paying attention. At only 17 years old, has yet to go to his senior homecoming, he is widely considered the future of Bellicose. He took on an absolute monster in his last outing and put him away in under three minutes. I am going to tell you now that this kids mom and dad are only allowing him to fight once a month so he can focus on his studies but in a few fights we may see him challenging for the title. Big Burtha Next Fight: October 22nd I dont know what he is doing in that field taking shirtless pictures and honestly I wont question it. What I will question is how his opponents feel when they step in the cage with this guy the day of the fight! At a staggering 4-0 knockout success rate this guy was a QFC king and in every way does this man strike fear in the hearts of his opponents. Now under a new manager, we will see if Burtha has that same fire he did in QFC or if Bellicose will make him less of a boogeyman.
  8. Bellicose Champions Each Month we will provide a brief synopsis of the current champions of Bellicose. The focus will be on the champion and an updated bio. We wont be focusing too much on their upcoming fights but will mention the next time you can see them perform. If you enjoy this little preview and would like to see it continue give us a green arrow or heart. Look out for another preview later this month titled "The Boogeymen: The scariest guys in each division." Some of these guys are being avoided at all costs or managers reluctantly accept fights against these men. We obviously wont share who has declined or share private conversations. Prokop Pustik (3-0) Heavyweight Champion Despite not being known for his boxing or Muay Thai, Prokop Pustik is a devastating knockout artist. With all three of his knockout victories coming in the very first round this guy is by all accounts a force to be reckoned with. Sponsored by Kraken Nutrition and recognized by many as a wonderful wrestler, this ground and pound fighter looks to get you to a position where you cant escape and maul you. He has a very high success rate of takedowns and has only needed to land two punches to knockout every single one of his opponents. Prokop defends his title on Halloween weekend, October 29th, against a 6-0 QFC Tournament winner in Klarney Wilson. This will be the first time Prokop battels a guy who has a purple belt in Jiu-Jitsu so you can be sure his submission defense will be tested. Prokop is looking at a long future ahead of him and at just 19 years old and holding a title is something to be grasped at. The young Czech Republican is on fire and I dont know if anyone can stop him anytime soon. Ike Wellstone (6-0) Light Heavyweight Champion With six fights and all six fights ending in a victory, its no wonder that the Light Heavyweight Champion that is Ike Wellstone is one of the most popular figures in all of Bellicose. With five of his six wins coming by way of knockout and three of them ending in the first round, it is no question that Ike is the real deal. Currently waiting to see how the fights in the Light Heavyweight Division play out before accepting a new fight, Wellstone just battled arguably one of his toughest opponents in Doug Funny in what was a highly anticipated match. Proponents of Wellstone claim he is untouchable by the current Light Heavyweight roster and believe he will continue to knockout guys until the end of his career. The Exceptional Muay Thai artist has recently been awarded a Blue Belt and at just 25 years of age, the New Orleans native looks to continue his path of martial arts growth advancing in different aspects of martial arts. Dean Howard (5-0) Middleweight Champion With five victories to his record, Dean Howard holds the Bellicose Middleweight Title and has shown that he has the ability to finish a fight in any manner it goes. With two wins coming by submission and two coming by knockout and the other coming by unanimous decision against Rock Romero, it is clear that Dean Howard is a jack of all trades in mixed martial arts. With a majority of his fights ending in the first round it is quite obvious that this guy looks to get the job done and get it done quickly. He looks to defend his title against the formidable Thijs De Koning, a contender who has been on a submission rampage and believes that he can shock the world and pull off a submission victory against Howard. The Champion is by all accounts a ground fighter, although working on his standup, which has come a long way, the Vermont native is always looking to put you on your back and keep you there until you tap or are unconscious. This makes him one of the most dangerous fighters on our entire roster. Samuel Draven (5-0) Welterweight Champion Having started his career at middleweight, it did not take Draven long to realize that he would prefer to continue his knockout run at welterweight. Samuel Draven is the premier knockout artist in Bellicose. A true fan favorite, this guy has been in boxing since he was just a boy. Now, with all five wins of his coming by way of knockout, he looks to battle another fighter who is arguably the most terrifying welterweight in Kanud Odimabesser. Draven will undoubtedly looking to shock Kanud and end the fight early. With a tendency to fight once every thirty days, Draven really likes to take his time in preparing for his opponents and respecting their skills and quality. The last time we had seen Draven was on September 25th where he had a most dominating performance, so with a month or so of training we can imagine that the next time we see Draven he will be in the best shape of his career! Moussa Kabore (4-0) Lightweight Champion The Untouchable one, Moussa Kabore (4-0) has actually never been punched in any of his four fights. Kabore who is surprisingly just a blue belt in BJJ, has found a way to submit each of his opponents in the time needed. With an incredible wrestling pedigree and a surprisingly talented way of avoiding strikes, Moussa Kabore has found himself as a walking highlight in Bellicose. He has submitted two opponents via kimura, one in a guillotine, and one in a triangle proving he can end the fight no matter where he ends up and no matter who he takes on. Kabore has submitted two brown belts in his career proving that he is the real deal when it comes to grappling. Kabore takes on Bayo on Halloween in what will undoubtedly be an exciting fight. Bayo, similar to Kabore, has also never been punched in his career, will look to stop Kabores takedowns and show him what a fist feels like when it lands on the jaw. Mateo Daverio(4-0) Featherweight Champion On October 23rd the Italian born Daverio, looks to defend his title and go 5-0 in his career when he battles former BMF champion Joshi Dell! The 26 year old Milan native is a fighters fighter. This guy goes into each fight for a fight, not looking to remove the other guy right away and man time after time do we see wars with Daverio! Time and time again Daverio puts guys into the clinch and just punishes them. Upon winning the title he retired Patrick Bateman by forcing him into the clinch and landing over 48 elbow strikes upon him. The featherweight division is stacked and Daverio is at the very top of it right now and I think it is fair to say we can expect a long career from this featherweight force. Sean Dash (6-1) Bantamweight Champion The Phenom, Sean Dash is sitting pretty as the Bantamweight Champion riding a five fight winning streak of knockouts, three of which were in the first round. Dash who just became the champion of Bellicose on the second of October in just 17 seconds of the first round, looks to defend it on Halloween weekend as he takes on former Featherweight Champion and first round knockout king, Jerry Goon. The Memphis Native has stood with some of the very best in the Bantamweight Division and looks to continue his path of destruction. Dash knows there are absolute killers waiting in the shadows ready to pounce at their opportunity.
  9. Someone tell @Icon73his boy is about to get Mauled!
  10. I will take a dive for you @saklain Let me get Saklain first.
  11. LET ME GET DOWN ON THIS. I want Clyde, I want Scottie, I want Thibs, I want Brodie....I WANT CHRIS MF KARTER!
  12. SYN 837 Roberto Duranto vs Herb Krison Welterweight Title Fight Duranto vs Krison IV is one of those matchups where fight fans around the world are eagerly awaiting the outcome. It almost feels that both these fighters are chomping at the bit to get back in there to square off against one another. I had the opportunity to meet up with Herb's trainers and they shared with me how not only do they believe Herb wins this fight but that he will actually dominate from bell to bell eventually stopping Duranto for the first time. As the new champion of SYN many fans were calling for Krison to get the title shot claiming that if the SYN belt represents the best in the world then how does the guy who outpointed the current champion, in two fights and 8 rounds not get that opportunity? It appeared Duranto felt pressured from the media and fans calling for him to defend his title. Roberto Duranto has no need to explain himself to anyone, he is the legitimate champion of Syn and actually stopped Krison by knockout to take the title. The fight was going in Herb’s favor for all four rounds until the middle of the last round, Duranto turned up the heat and scored that memorable knockout. As they say in MMA anything can happen. Despite Duranto being 1-2 against Krison, he will look to not only even up the score between the two but finally put the critics asleep as well. But how does he do it? It may be hard to hear but for Duranto it may be necessary. It is evident that to me and many others Krison is the more technical fighter of the two. Often displaying an overwhelming amount of strikes to Durans, based off of stats, Krison roughly throws just over one hundred strikes opposed to Duran throwing just around 50. My key to victory for Duran is to pick up the pace, to take the fifth round in their last fight as the key indicator against Krison and look for those knockout shots and throw more than thirty head punches. For Krison it's a little of the same but with a tweak, do not look for the knockout, if it comes that would be splendid for you but I believe that is where we saw him get caught last time and stopped. The odds makers have set their picks in and this fight may see me throw money on it too. It was just over a month ago since these two last fought and honestly I am super curious to see if that was enough time for Krison to recover from that hellacious knockout and if it was will we see the best version of Krison to date? Heavy Rain vs Mark Kerr Heavyweight Matchup Heavy Rain who is coming off his recent defeat against champion Kilo Maluga looks to show the world why he was one of the most dominant heavyweights in recent times when he held on to the coveted PFC Heavyweight Championship. His opponent is a long time rival in Mark Kerr! Kerr, who has one knockout finish over Rain and one split decision loss, looks to also get back on his feet and dismantle the former PFC champion, sending him plummeting in the rankings showing him why he left Syn in the first place. Mark Kerr was on a three fight win streak prior to meeting his most recent opponent in Sparxx which saw him surprised in 24 seconds. Now, these two guys who are near the top of the heavyweight division are recognizing that a win is absolutely crucial for them to stay at the top and that a loss could see them in a position that they may never recover from. The fight historian in me would have to say that Rain is a big underdog in this one. He lost once to Kerr in violent fashion but he narrowly escaped a match with a split decision victory. Now, that's history and there is truth to all of that but what is also something to consider is how Rain has been fascinating to watch running through his last seven opponents knocking them out before coming back to SYN. So, the real question we have here is will Mark Kerr encounter the same Rain that he experienced before or is Rain a completely new fighter. This is a main event that will be remembered for a long time, and one of the biggest things about it is that fight fans know that it will end in a knockout, that there is no plausible way this fight goes all five rounds. My pick, knockout of the night. Just Whymer vs Jeremy Jones Light Heavyweight Matchup Former Light Heavyweight Champion Just Whymer is making his long awaited debut after his shocking defeat against Tong Po earlier in September. His opponent, a man long considered to be the future of the Light Heavyweight Division in Jeremy Jones. Jones, who has beaten Tong Po the current Syn champion, is coming off a recent victory when he scored a unanimous decision win against Tantor, one of the most dangerous threats in all of Syn. Now, with gold in his eyes, Jones knows that if Whymer falls to Jones like the other 27, that he will be very close to a title shot. Whymer who has taken a good amount of time off has been focusing all of his energy on tuning up those areas where he fell apart in the last match he had. Fight fans had noticed a certain decline in his recent performances but are now speculating that after losing his title, we may see a new-hungrier-deadlier Just Whymer. It would not be far off to believe if that was the case. In a good amount of his fights after he loses, Just Whymer comes out like a bat out of hell, whatever that phrase means, almost always scoring a sensational knockout. With that point of excitement for fight fans there is also the consideration that Jones has had more time to relax since his last fight and may be in better shape coming into this one. Whatever happens i can almost guarantee this is going to be a fight of the night contender. SYN 838 Kilo Maluga vs Gary Sparxx Heavyweight Title Match There is no greater prize at stake in a competition than the Heavyweight Championship of the world and ladies and gentleman, it's at stake! Let me just say I have been anxiously awaiting this fight since Sparxx sparked his last opponent in 24 seconds. The heat between these two is absolutely real and the energy is literally felt when these two step in the room with one another. A massive brawl had interrupted the post fight press conference on September 12th when apparently Kilo Maluga and his manager Chris Karter ran in the back stage and looked to be bellicose with Sparxx. Sparxx, who does not back down from anyone, met Maluga head on in what appeared to be pandemonium. Kishion, owner of Synchronicity, had rushed out of the post fight presser and was able to help get these two monsters to stop. A scheduled interview had to be canceled last minute as the writer feared for his own safety being around the two. Let's get into the actual fight and break it down. Kilo Maluga walks in at 6’4 and Gary Sparxx steps in at a whopping 6’8. The weight difference is about 8 pounds with Maluga being a little smaller than his opponent. Sparxx biggest hurdle is that this his only third match in SYN and in that, fight fans are unsure if he is truly ready to take on the GOAT Kilo Maluga. The reaction his coaches have shared to that pessimistic commentary is that Sparxx has one loss in his last twelve bouts. Both guys have thrived under their current managers with Maluga being recognized by many fight fans as one of the greatest to ever do it. Sparxx, in his entire career, has never actually fought for a title and according to his training partner, he never wanted any other title besides the Syn title and now that the opportunity is before him he will absolutely rip it from the dying hands of Maluga. How does this fight play out though? Both of these guys are the actual definition of knockout artists with uncanny accuracy. Both fighters have actually lost by knockout in their career and have fists that appear to be given by the incredible Hulk himself with how hard they drop their opponents. In studying their last matchups, my impression is that we may see Maluga work more combinations than usual as it was what actually stopped Sparxx in his last loss. The gameplan for Sparxx may be something quite different for him and look to employ heavier counter punches to Maluga, this is going off the idea that in his last two knockout losses that he suffered he was countered. Don't blink ladies and gentlemen because this will probably end in the most horrific way and I have to be honest, I can not wait to see what happens on the microphone after this. Joao Branca vs Zeta Knox Heavyweight Matchup Odense Champion Zeta Knox makes his entrance into the Syn Cage for the first time and the amount of Odense fans who primarily live in Amsterdam are excited to witness one of their own champions compete in the number one org in the world. His opponent? Joao Branca, the 28 year old multi elite fighter who has undoubtedly starched most of his last eleven opponents. This guy is the real deal and to be competing against a champion in another org speaks volumes of where this guy is currently at in terms of potentially getting a title shot in the near future. Zeta Knox is no joke either and could actually show Branca the bottom of the ladder with his thunderous power that he has used to stop his last five opponents. The reality is that Knox and Branca, who are both knockout artists, may also be knocked out. They both love to swing and two their hands putting themselves in the line of danger. I connected with the coaches of Branca and they shared with me that they believe that Branca is more than capable of dismantling Knox and will probably do so in the first round. They shared with me that Knox is not on the same level as the competition that Branca has recently faced and that we should expect to see something spectacular. Being the co-main event to the two biggest Light Heavyweight fighters in the world right now has my mouth drooling at these incredible matchups knowing full well that what we see this weekend will blow our minds and that's honestly just how Syn does it. I could not even begin to make a prediction because I easily see this one going either way and in a strange way, I want them both to win because I know how much it would benefit both of their careers. Good luck to both managers and fighters this weekend!

  16. SYN 833 & Syn 834 Synchronicity looks to do it again this weekend. Selling out the LA memorial coliseum and the Tokyo bowl we have some exciting fights lined up for fight fans around the world. All though there is only one title on the line this weekend there are some fights that true MMA fans are going to be putting on their PBP for sure. One of my absolute favorite fights is when DeSilva takes on Marceau in what should either be the knockout of the night or an absolute clinic of technique. I hope you are ready for these previews, lets get into it! Syn 833 Previews Dany Crosby vs Ispa Mfer Middleweight Title Match Former PFC Middleweight Champion and top contender Ispa Mfer (25-12) has found himself at the very top of the Syn middleweight rankings and he looks to become another success story of the transition from PFC when he takes the title from Syn Champion Dany Crosby (30-17-1). The Finnish fighter training out of Average Joes Gym, had suffered his first ever knockout loss back in May when he lost the PFC Middleweight title. Mfer, who took some time away from the fight game, found himself almost remotivated better than before. Around the same time Mfer was making a resurgence of his career, Dany Crosby was looking to capitalize on his tenth win. Unfortunately, he fell victim to a shocking unanimous decision loss when Herb Krison stole with what appeared to be ease, the welterweight title. Rumors had flooded that Crosby had lost his passion for fighting and we were never going to say the same Dany Crosby but three weeks after his championship loss, we witnessed Crosby bounce back with a first round knockout victory over the last PFC champion, Latrobe Arundel. Some fight fans have speculated that Crosby will run through Mfer due to him dismantling Arundel so easily. Coaches at Average Joe's gym have shared with me that the formula on defeating Crosby is there and that if anyone has the ability to stop Crosby it would be Mfer. They believe that despite Crosby being well known for his knockout power, Mfer won't be put to sleep this weekend and instead will outwork and outpace Crosby every step of the fight. Fight fans and Pundits have claimed that this fight is going to be so one-sided that they claim the odds, -2100 of Crosby to win are generous to Mfer. So if everyone is counting gout Mfer, shouldn't you be too? No. Here is why, starting with his manager, he holds a winning managerial record of 1092-485. Secondly, Crosby is approaching the end of his career, at 38 years of age one has to wonder, how long can he keep fighting? I think with everything given, we will see Ispa show all the fans why he earned this title shot. I don't think he will be knocked out and I think it is very possible to see him outwork the champion. Wherever this fight ends up, you have to wonder if Ispa may actually have the advantage regardless of what the main mma media claims. Do Ho Joy vs Mike McLaughlin Featherweight Match In a featherweight matchup of epic proportions we get to witness the final champion of PFC, Do Ho Joy (36-15) battle Mike McLaughlin (35-14-2) in what should be a five round battle that will have fight fans on the edge of their seats we will have the chance to look at two of the top contenders in the featherweight division. The reality of this match is both men are absolute legends in the mma world and will be showcasing some very expert level technique. I think it is fair to say that neither Joy will be looking for the knockout the entire duration of the fight. His iron jaw and his ability to put anyone in a daze are just two factors that McLaughlin will have to worry about. In examining these two fighters, one question will immediately pop out to fight fans. The question of course is will McLaughlin have the necessary punching output to win the rounds getting the judges nod? McLaughlin, who focuses a lot on his accuracy, will need to step up his punching game quite a bit, a path to victory that has been shown time and time again in all of Joy’s unanimous decision fights. For Joy of course he is going to be looking to land that knockout shot, but knowing McLaughlin has only been Tko’d once before I think this fight needs to stay at a range where Joy can land his array of strikes at will with incredible force. Despite these two martial artists never fighting each other before they have been around the other at the top of the table enough to know what the other is capable of. Recently both fighters have been doing really well, going on win streaks like no one's business. However, both of those win streaks came to a sudden end when they lost to the current Champion, Sitsongrit. In comparing their fights to Sitsongrit, one thing is dangerously obvious for these fighters, both were out punched, kicked, and clinched against Sitsongrit and if they go against. Joy had great success with kicks and McLaughlin had great success in the clinch, expect these two factors to come into play this weekend! SYN 834 Previews Jack Number vs Cereberus Dionisy Light Heavyweight Match A rematch fight fans across the mma world have been desperately waiting for is finally upon us! Two former Alpha-1 champions collide as the headliner of Sunday nights card as Jack “one” Number (32-29) looks to score a second tko victory over the sensational Cerberus Dionisy (17-3). Dionisy has only lost to three men in his career and out of those three men only one time the referee had ended the fight. Dionisy has that mark on his career that he has really wanted to avenge and now it's his opportunity to do so. In their first fight, Dionisy was pushed into the clinch position where he was pummeled relentlessly from Number. Number, who had actually thrown over 100 strikes from the clinch position compared to Dionisy throwing under forty five strikes, found a weak spot and hurled shots until the unthinkable happened and we saw a dazed and confused Dionisy. Moments later, the referee lifted Numbers hand and the new champion of alpha was crowned. Prior to that fight we had only seen Dionisy enter into the clinch position several times in his career where he would display such ferociousness and accuracy that fighters crumbled in competition before him. In a match that has already been done before many believe that we will see something different, Dionisy had realized his weak spot was his clinch game, at least compared to Number and had to work relentlessly on that to improve it. Whereas Number will have to remember that when it came to the striking aspect of their previous match, Dionisy landed all three shots against him making him miss by a mile when he threw. I believe many fight fans are considering this matchup to be a bit more violent and potentially passionate than their first encounter. Between the two, they both know that should they win it really puts them both at the top of the contenders list. Both fighters are coming off of wins in their last performances and many believe the 29 year old Cereberus is looking like a new man and are interested in seeing how the knockout artist does against a Champion like Tong Po, a dream fight for fight fans all around the world. But, as he has done before, can Jack Number spoil the dream? There is clearly an edge that Number has over his opponent and he very well could bring that out again. Demon Monkey vs Samuel Nti Welterweight Match Monkey vs Nti is going to be an epic strike fest and honestly, i'm here for it. I actually believe this fight will go the full distance and neither fighter will really look for that knockout shot as much as they will look to be a little more cautious in securing the win. Accuracy more than damage is my prediction for both of these fighters gameplans. Demon Monkey (32-20-1) is undeniably one of the best in the welterweight division but when it comes down to title fights is where we tend to see him fold. In title fights, Monkey is (1-6) fortunately for him this is not actually a title fight as much as it is a title eliminator bout. Two fights ago he lost a very close split decision to the former champion Crosby on what many felt was actually Monkeys victory. A tough loss to swallow for both Monkey and his fans but he went back to the drawing board and bounced back with a dominating performance over Rishkinov. Now, he looks to take on another top name in the division in Samuel Nti (36-14). Perhaps one of the most feared men of his division, there is no denying that this man has violence in his head when he comes to fight. His 33 knockout victories are a testament to that. Nti, was previously on an 8 fight win streak when it was snapped by a head kick from nowhere when Duranto evaded most of Ntis strikes and landed that hellacious shot. Certainly, Monkey will be studying that fight and learning how Duranto managed to avoid shots that Ntis previous 8 opponents wish they could have avoided. This fight could certainly end with either guy being left unconscious or a referee stepping in, but as I said in my opening sentence, I believe this fight will be a long war. I think both men are going to be a bit more gun shy than we are used to seeing and careful not to get caught as they have done in the past. This is Nti’s first fight after that head kick loss and when Nti comes back from an loss he usually displays unmatched aggression forcing the referee to stop the fight. Fight To Watch! Antonio Maurcio DeSilva vs Jean Claude Marceau Light Heavyweight Match Former lightheavyweight champion of Syn Antonio Maurcio De Silva (30-11) looks to stop the PFC veteran Jean Claude Marceau (35-17) who is quickly on his way to the top of the division. The two top light heavyweight contenders have their sights fixed on the title and know with a victory this weekend it will not only put them back at the top of title contention but remove one of the hardest fighters from their path. Jean-Claude Marceau is relatively new to SYN and with 32 of his victories coming by way of knockout out of his 35 victories, it is safe to say that Marceau is looking for another walkoff knockout victory. For an opponent to knock out DeSilva is almost a feat of itself. The six foot six granite chin monster holds a wild record of career wins and is sure to please the crowd this weekend. Not normally known as someone who finishes fights as much as he is for someone who outworks his opponents, DeSilva is constantly looking to take his opponents to deep waters and thrashing them at each step of the way. Prior to his recent loss, DeSilva was on a 6 fight win streak defeating some serious top competition in the light heavyweight division. After winning against Whymer via split decision he momentarily held the crown until the rematch where he suffered a tko loss. Fight fans are curious to see whether or not DeSilva will bounce back successfully or not against one of the toughest fighters in all of Syn. Marceau is coming off of a recent first round knockout victory over Juha Niska, a former Alpha and Smash champion. It will be interesting to see the confidence levels of both of these fighters and how they choose to employ their tactics. This is personally one of the matchups i am most excited for and to see what happens in the rankings after these two collide.
  17. Syn Post Fight Press Conference is brought to you by, Ma Balls is Hot Clothing. This past weekend Synchronicity put on two phenomenal events that took the roof off the place and made our mouths drop. Seeing a serious confrontation erupt between Blood Bath and Sparxx was no doubt what fans could not stop talking about, many fans were shocked at the complete dominating performance on the judges score cards from Williams, and even the first round knockout from Tong Po becoming the new champion of Syn, this is Syn 831 and 832 post fight presser, lets get into it! SYN 831 Kishion: Hey guys thank you for joining me this evening. Before we get to the questions lets take care of business. The attendance for the night was : 92217 The Gate was: $1,382,660 PPV Buys: N/A FOTN: Obi Wan Kenobi vs Juan Pique SOTN: KOTN: Tong Po Okay so who's got the first question!? Starting off with the Main Event, Tong Po did what very few have done and did what has happened only one other time to Whymer, knocking him out in the very first round. What does this say about Tong Po and his arrival into Syn? Kishion: I think he has shown in these last 2 fights just how good he is and i think hes trying to send a message to the MMA world that he is the #1 p4p fighter on the planet. To knock of both Whymer and Garuda who have dominated the division since Supernova says a lot. We are currently in negotiations to have Po take on top 5 p4p fighter and SFL champion Giuseppe Hopkins It has been reported that Whymer is now matched up with the last guy who has beaten Tong Po, Jeremy Jones, can we assume the winner of that fight is next in line for Po? Kishion: Potentially, we have to see how the division shakes up after all the fights take place There are rumors that as a whole the fighters were paid upwards to nearly one million dollars. Is it fair to say that Syn is the highest paying organization for fighters in the MMA business today? Kishion: Yes while we have had events with over a million in fighter purses no we are not currently the highest paying. We are on par with our honest competitors. The ones with dirty money on the other hand? No we cant keep up with them. In a wild, near perfect dominant performance, Barthory snatched the title from Reinikainen. What did you make of Bathory's performance and how do you think Mazziotti matches up with the new champion? Kishion: I thought Barthory was amazing and had a stellar performance. He was a dominant force in Pulse so im honestly not surprised. As for Mazziotti i think he matches up extremely well with him and I think it will honestly be a 50/50 matchup. Personally, one of my favorite matchups of the night was Ko Nachi and Lupei, the big argument with the fans right now is that Lupei got a takedown in the first and should have grabbed the win. I personally didn't see it that way, what do you make of that fight and its decision? Kishion: Honestly i think split decision was a bad call. Ko Nachi clearly won 29-28 and if you have a problem with the decision maybe go for the finish next time. We are seeing almost a resurgence of the career of Angus Macarthur. A most vicious and one sided fight that the fans loved. He put on a clinic against Lacplesis. His overall Syn record is 5-2 and is considered 22 in the world at his weight class. Truly a fan favorite for fight fans like Callum McGregor. Do you think we see him in the octagon soon? Kishion: Angus is a great young contender, i was extremely impressed with his performance and i cant wait to get him back in there with some of the top dogs at 170. Syn 832 Kishion: Okay guys for our second event of the weekend The attendance for the night was : 88996 The Gate was: $1,349,500 PPV Buys: 256,504 FOTN: Wayne Williams vs Yodsawan Sitsongrit SOTN: KOTN: Gary Sparxx Now lets start with your questions! The Bantamweight Title was on the line last night and I think it's fair to say many fight fans were shocked and even amazed with the performance of the new champion, Wayne Williams. What did you make of that matchup? Kishion: it was an amazing matchup and Wayne put on a mesmerizing performance. To avenge those previous losses and overcome one of the greatest Bantamweights of all time to win the world championship gave me goosebumps. That fight was probably the best fight of the weekend in my opinion. Over 400 strikes thrown in that matchup with Williams focusing solely on boxing, Do you think it was just a poor game plan from Sitsongrit or was there some hole there that Williams saw through and capitalized on? Kishion: Well we all know the one true weak spot Muay Thai has is the hands. Being that the Sitsongrit camp are Muay Thai specialists it was a brilliant game plan. Fight fans have already wanted to see that run back but both fighters are scheduled to fight on the same card on October 9th. Do you think it's a fight we can see before Christmas again or will we have to see how things shape out? Kishion: Definitely have to see how it shapes out. I tell you guys this every weekend, we are not keen on giving rematchs o quickly. Nobody wants another Kilo vs Barbarian situation hahaha. Perhaps the most vicious knockout of the weekend was Sparxx taking out Kerr in just 24 seconds. Personally, had no inkling of a thought that Kerr would lose that quickly or for that matter at all against Sparxx. Do you think we will see Kerr again or was that his last fight? Kishion: We are in talks right now to potentially have him get 2 more fights in. He is an absolute legend and the undisputed KO king of syn. Would hate to see him going out on the other end. There was a bit of an altercation between Sparxx and Maluga after the fight. Is this the fight you want next or would you like to see Sparxx get one more win under his belt before fighting the Bloodbath? Kishion: The fight is already set, both men refused to leave the premises until we drafted up a fight contract. Its clear these men dont like each other and ill be honest i dont see this making it out of the first round. One of these men is going down. HARD! One of the best fights on the card, in my opinion, was the one with Strap and Chavez. Despite not being on the main card, these two fought as if it were for a title. It turned out to be a draw but those guys gave it their all for sure. Are these the kind of fighters you are looking for when it comes to bringing in new talent to SYN? Kishion: YES! We are looking for guys with heart, guys that will lay it all on the line and fight like its their last. These 2 warriors showed no quit and im extremely impressed with what i seen. Von Mises and Presley was a battle of grapplers and it did not disappoint. So many submission attempts and great grappling on display from two great grapplers. Von Mises is now 1 and 2 in the org. Does he need a win to stay relevant to the fans? Kishion: I think Von Mises is a young guy and if he can just keep his head on straight and focus in the gym he could be a serious contender. Its very hard at this level to be a grappler but i think he has the tools to do it if he can just stay in the right direction. The post fight press conference was interrupted when there was screaming and yelling heard behind the curtain. A young lady carrying a notebook ran over to Kishion to inform him that some sort of aggressive outbreak had started to occur between Kilo Maluga and Gary Sparxx who fight fans believed to have actually left the building. Kishion had ran out of the room and the press was quietly escorted out of the hotel ballroom.
  18. SYN 831 & 832 Previews This weekends events are absolutely stacked. For fight fans, this is a weekend you want to get the buddies together and enjoy a couple of pay per view fight cards that are sure to blow the roof off the places. We are seeing one fight card take place in LA and the other in Tokyo! 20 fighters, 180 thousand people, and Three championship fights. This weekend is insane! Stick around to the end and see a free preview option we are doing. Lets get into it! Just Whymer vs Tong Po LIGHT HEAVYWEIGHT TITLE FIGHT Just Whymer (34-12-4) defending his title against the PFC champion Tong Po (34-16) is a fight that has MMA fans screaming in excitement! Two of the very best Light Heavyweights in the world square off this weekend in what should undoubtedly be a strike fest with the highest level of technique. Tong Po is considered to be a huge threat to Whymer on account of his last fourteen fights, eleven have been victories and 10 of those were knockouts. From head kicks to Flying Knees this guy is the very definition of a masterclass striker. Whymer, who by all accounts could have been a boxer with the heaviest of hands, is quite aware that Po has been suspect to punches before as he was knocked out from Thiago Thiago and Harold Nicolas last year. Critics have claimed that in his last couple of outings, Whymer has begun to show his age and fans are speculating whether or not he still has it in him. He was out struck in the clinch in his first fight with De Silva and and in their rematch did not start off too hot. But as we know, its not how you start it is how you finish, and Just Whymer is a devastating finisher! The reality of this fight for me is that I believe this will most likely be the knockout of the night and that it ends for one of these two warriors within the first two rounds. Watch for Tong Po to land a nasty head kick by setting it up with numerous leg kicks first and look for Whymer to close the distance and throw bombs. Arturri Reinkainen vs Arzlan Bathory LIGHTWEIGHT TITLE FIGHT Arturri Reinkainen (18-9-3) versus Arzlan Bathory (34-8-1) is one of those matchups that fight fans, especially those who followed PFC closely are yelling, "FINALLY!" The Tickle Monster, Arzlan Bathory is synonymous with the PFC title and for him to see Arturri standing across the cage from him holding it, he will no doubt be as aggressive as we have ever seen him to take the strap. These two fighters are about technique when it comes down to it. They don't aim to get a finish they aim to outscore their opponent and beat them to a bloody pulp. For Arturri, who has seen a resurgence in his career in the last several fights, he has gone on to win a solid amount and hopes that he can solidify himself as recognizable to SYN Fans as a thrilling fighter should he successfully dismantle the Tickle Monster. Bathory, who is now 38 believes he is in the best shape of his life and after coming off an insane victory Urameshi, he believes he can once again become champion, and this time, not just PFC but SYN as well! For Arturri, if he is able to outwork Bathory we may very well see the naysayers and doubters of his legitimate reign as champion finally come to an end. This is a battle not of knockout artists or submission specialists but of masters of technique. Over 100 strikes will be thrown in this one and if my guess is this will be a fight that fans will talk about for ages to come. SYN 832 Yodsawan SitsonGrit vs Wayne Williams BANTAMWEIGHT TITLE FIGHT! Syn 832 is Sunday Night Hype! Yodsawan SitsonGrit (35-12) puts his legacy, title, and Thirteen fight win streak on the line when he battles Wayne Williams (33-15) a fighter who particularly enjoys knocking out his competition but never relies on just that. Williams who recently took the PFC title in July from none other than Yodsawans brother, Chamauknoi. Williams was hoping to defend his newly acquired title but the merger with SYN made that undoable. Instead, the great bantamweight fighter takes on arguably the GOAT of Bantamweights in SitsonGrit in what will be there third matchup together. As these two aim to clash on Sunday night they are both expecting a long drawn out back and forth war that will see them gassed and bloody hoping to raise their hand at the end of the evening. In both their fights together we have seen it go the distance. They have already shared 8 rounds together and if the fight goes past the fourth round this Sunday, which it surely will they will have already spent a full hour in the cage with each other. Many spectators have written this one off as they consider SitsonGrit to be too good and already have Williams number in the book. What a lot of those critics have missed is that Williams, since his last outing with Yodsawan is a different fighter under the management of Alex Maniatakos and with training partners like Balgot and Barbarian, two champions in different orgs, Critics should not be so sure of themselves. Whatever the case, this is a fight that will be one of pure violence. I believe that Yodsawan will go for the knockout in this one and avenge his brothers loss of the title. There is something at stake for both of these guys so expect the best fight between these two guys. Marko Kerr vs Gary Sparxx HEAVYWEIGHT MATCHUP "You're going to get hit...You're going to get knocked out..."This is the Heavyweight division and we have in our Co-Main event, two of the very best heavyweights in the world squaring off in what is no doubt going to be a battle for supremacy. These two heavy handed warriors will do battle aiming to take the others head clean off. "The Rave" has always been somewhat of a problem child, he cant seem to stay with managers for too long before finding someone else to work with. It appears under Daughtrys leadership however he has found someone he thoroughly enjoys learning from and being managed by. His career has taken off to a new level and together they have a 10-1 record with each fight coming by way of knockout. In Sparxx next matchup he takes on the incredible Marko Kerr a true veteran and a guy who has fought some of the very best the sport has to offer. Kerr, has finished 33 of his 37 opponents by knockout in a horrifying way and holds no mercy once their bodies go limp. Kerr is the record holder for the most knockouts in SYN, he broke the record in his last outing and according to his camp expects to further that number when he takes on Sparxx Sunday Night. All I can say fight fans is do not blink...This one should be over in a matter of seconds, at least that's what I think. 19. @MiikeSnow's prodigy, Kwasi Kwong (14-0) is undoubtedly the best welterweight on the Island! Kwong, who knocked out both Dick Winters and Maurice Tillet to claim victory of the Island Tournament now has some pretty tough decisions ahead of him. Despite him not being a very big 170lber, he managed to out strike each of his opponents and even knocking out 8 of them. The legacy of Kwong is undeniable but Kwongs manager has recently put out that he is toying with the idea of not having Kwong fight again and instead may choose to preserve his legacy. This will certainly cause some anxiousness in the mind of @rjs2442 who has reportedly just extended Kwongs contract. Should Kwong fight again, there are some very interesting matchups we would be interested in seeing for a fighter who who can fight at both Welterweight and Lightweight! We took a poll from our BUZZ community and these were some of the fights that fans were most interested in seeing followed by some quotes from random fans: Santiago Ponziabo 9-3 Santiago "Arge Enemy" Ponziabo (9-3) is undoubtedly one of the best lightweights in the world today. After laying claim to the Islands Lightweight tournament, Ponziabo is an unsigned prospect from manager @stpierrecanada. Questions have been circulating about what is next for the Argentinan but a fight with the Welterweight goat could be certainly in the mix and a classic grappler vs striker is always adored by fans. Ebubekir Siddik 13-3 The Middleweight king who hosts a record 13 wins, with 6 coming by way of knockout is primarily recognized as a ground and pound phenom. Matching Siddik against Kwong could certainly see a bout that generates a ton of interest and, of course, a knockout would eventually come for one of these guys. Siddik is currently unsigned by any organization and is managed by the great @gwad12345! Noel Diaz 15-1 Islands favorite bad boy, Noel Diaz (15-1) after recently bowing out to a highly controversial loss in the tournament, a lot of people have been anxious to see what is next for the superstar that is Diaz. @Arcalimon fighter who is still signed with Highland would probably welcome the Welterweight champ a journey down to lightweight or probably would not mind going up a fourth division to defeat the Welterweight Goat. You agree with any of these matchups? Would you prefer to see Kwong fight someone else? Congrats to the King, Kwasi Kwong on becoming a 20 year old legend! Hopefully we see you again.
  20. LETS GO TORHTE!!!!! Also that Tillet vs Kwong fight....OH MAN! Lets go TILLET!
  21. A REVIEW Noel Diaz vs Timo Leyton Perhaps one of the more intense semi-final matchups that occurred today was the fight between Noel Diaz (15-1) and Timo Leyton (8-1-1). The younger and less experienced Leyton was considered by many to be far too interior in skill to compete with the undefeated three division champion, Noel Diaz. To the shock of many, Leyton had grabbed the victory in what appeared to be a fight focused on control rather than conquest. There was a great saying in MMA a long time ago from a hall of famer who goes by the name of Matt Hughes. He shared with his fans and critics that if you are undefeated in MMA it means that you are not fighting the very best. This matchup between Leyton and Diaz was so similar to a match that we witnessed earlier in Diaz's career, the matchup with Calvin Shields. Earlier in his career, Noel Diaz took on a violent man by the name of Calvin Shields, who at the time was unbeaten and knocking everyone out. In their fight, Diaz fans were nervous that their then, 5-0 Bantamweight & Featherweight Champion was going to lose. For three rounds we witnessed Shields take Diaz down and control him landing 18 punches and focusing on grinding him out to get the win. It was not until the fourth round where Diaz fans noticed that the skill level on the ground was vastly different and with another five minutes to go they would probably see their fighter win. With a raise of confidence we witnessed Diaz jump guard and pull off a spectacular triangle choke early in the fifth round. Had that not occurred, the judges would have awarded the fight to Shields and we would probably not be speaking of the three division champion today. Leyton clearly took notice of the fight and with more time focused on improving his defensive grappling, the younger competitor looked to throw less strikes and found himself comfortable waiting out the rounds. Leyton understood that Diaz had impeccable grappling defense and a granite like jaw, so finishing him was not the goal, getting the judges to give him the win was and that is what he did. Two of the Three Judges had believed the takedowns Leyton scored early in the first were enough for him to get the victory. The Third judge had noticed a takedown avoided by Diaz and an insane work rate from Diaz on his back. So what went wrong for Diaz? From my perspective, a manager who has an equal amount of losses to wins, I noticed that Diaz seemed to want to prefer to strike with his opponent believing that he would eventually knock him out. Knowing that Leytons skill level in boxing is literally abysmal and useless, this was a great idea. Despite Leyton never being finished via ko or submission before, one does have to wonder why Diaz did not go with his bread and butter in this fight? The knockout could have certainly come to fruition had Diaz not been taken down so easily by Leyton but his aggressive nature and determination made sure the fight got to the ground. Fight fans who support Diaz wont seem to accept this loss as they do believe their fighter should have gotten his hand raised and consider that it was a pure robbery. Unfortunately for Diaz, rumors are circulating that his Morale has hit an all time low and he is left flustered at both the game plan he implemented and will forever wonder what if the fight went an additional two rounds as the Shields fight did. Regardless of the reality we find outselves in, Noel Diaz the three division champion and 15-1 Island fighter deserves nothing but praise for his victories. I definitely look forward to what his career holds for us in the near future. So what is next for Leyton? Santiago Ponziabo (8-3) a submission specialist who may find himself studying what Leyton did in his match with Diaz to get an idea on how to beat him or at least the game plan he looks to employ. Should Leyton get passed the monster Santiago, he will be recognized as the Islands king of the Lightweight Tournament
