  1. A nice move by Tosic that's great for the highlight reels, but Gaines gets my vote. Steele makes a mistake and gets over-aggressive, allowing Tosic to capitalize on the error and win the match. Gaines, on the other hand. had only 1 chance to win the fight after getting slapped around for 2 rounds. He kept working with what he had, finally made it pay off, against an opponent who was clearly ahead. +1 for Gaines.
  2. Ask and ye shall receive!! Here's the 1st of several new designs we'll be putting on our selection of shorts. Come get it now! http://img194.imageshack.us/img194/1117/bluewhitefightshorts.png
  3. Thanks for the encouragement! Truth be told, I'm more likely to spend time with the acoustic (an Alvarez RD8) that I bought for not a lot of money just to see if I liked guitar than I am with my electric (Gretsch G5235 Electromatic Pro Jet w/ a fender SuperChamp amp) that I paid quite a bit more for once I realized I like guitar. I dabbled with drums and piano over the years - I'm a late bloomer. I've never been much into metal or harder music, and certainly not techno or rap / hip-hop (which doesn't mean I don't like it, it's just not my "thing"). I get pretty hyper and aggravated with normal life, I use music to keep myself calm. I mostly want to learn a lot of 60's and 70's singer/songwriter tunes: Eagles, Croce......I could listen to Van Morrison all day, every day. When it comes to the electric, however, my goal is to play just one song in my life that sounds like this cat. (the solo begins at 1:02): http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=DaryPqIAViM

I expect to have those in the store over the next few days. I'll probably shoot for a new design or two of my own by Sunday night, and add a new design or two every few days from there. Please feel free to post here or PM me with your ideas for new gear! I have a few other things in mind for the store that I'll keep everyone posted on as they occur.

  17. Sweet! Post here or PM me if you think I should make a T-shirt out of that design. If enough people are interested, I'll make one available in the store.
  18. Hard Rocking Designs is pleased to be the outlet for Black Knight gym apparel. In the store now is our 1st release: The Black Knight Gym "Fallen King." http://img12.imageshack.us/img12/1369/blackknightgym0.jpg
  19. I no way whatsoever to I think that a clothing company is as easy as a fight org, nor do I expect to make nearly as much money. The degree of effort should equal the degree of reard, I have no problem with that. Nonetheless, that's not my point in this thread. THe point is that I don't think that the current system is going to result in many clothing companies being financially solvent over time. Not a lot of fighters want to buy gear - they'd rather be sponsored (and who can blame them!). With membership numbers to the site slowing down, the customer base won't support a lot of different designers and the mechanisms within the game aren't strong enough to drive demand. For the clothing companies to be a viable part of the game, even if only for aesthetics, I'd like to think there's a desire to find something to encourage the continued participation of the shop owners and clothing designers.
  20. St. Pete's is very active and growing. Lots of fights going on there. My clothing store is partnered with Oprichnik and Dynasty gyms (stop in and buy some gear!!), and I personally have a couple of my own fighters in Dark Knight and Iron Curtain. I know these guys from other games we've played for years -- they're all going to build some great orgs.
  21. OK -- might be getting your pt. better now. Is this really how they are simming the fights?? I had hoped that each weapon was given a certain range for amount of damage it could do, vs. the other fighter's defenses, the % likelohood that any given strike would hit or miss, blah blah blah until it came up with a high number of permutations for how the fight could actually take place. If it's as simple as you say then, ya -- it's kinda dumb. Maybe that's why they fill 75% of the air time with stupid smack talk from guys who aren't actually going to fight each other. I think I'll just turn to Ultimate Fighter and watch Bisping and Henderson jaw at each other instead.
  22. Of course, there's no need to remind everyone that Hard Rocking Designs is the official outlet for Oprichnik-branded fight gear. Come in and get your exclusive OPFC logo T-shirt, or the limited Ivan the Terrible T. More Oprichnik-approved designs coming soon!
