  1. Flights are on GMT time, while fights are on local time. LA time is GMT -8, so a fight schedule for 18th would happen at 2 AM on 19th GMT time, so if you scheduled the flight on 0 or 1 (or perhaps even 2) AM on 19 th, he flew out before the fight happened.

  2. Nope, still have this. However, I have NoScript installed and fiddled with it, thinking that maybe I should allow/disallow something to cut this behaviour (normally I had everything on mmatycoon allowed), and it appears that if I change no-scripts attitude towards scripts running from google-analytics (no difference whether I forbid them or allow), then it reloads the page and everything's fine, I can see chatboxes, book flights etc., but as soon as I go to another page, it doesn't work anymore. WTF.

  3. So, after 10 weeks of Fantasy Tycoon there were supposed to be prizes in VIP time, tycoon cash, perhaps a trophy for the player topping the 10 week rolling table. Well, I topped the table after last week and I've received nothing (well, at least not cash, I don't remember how many VIP days I had left). I've asked Daniel Moreira, who was at the top for a long time, including two weeks before me (which IIRC were the 11th and 12th weeks since Fantasy Tycoon went out of beta) and he didn't get anything either.

  4. IMO it would be good to have this so that FA cannot be released if he/she/it has a fight coming. Sure we can't set them up for "the one last fight then cut him" we have used to but is that really such a big of a deal? Im sure org owners can manage without it. =)

Yeah, especially since it's a bit... unrealistic, let's say. I mean, if a manager signed a fighter to fight for free before severing their managerial agreement in Real Life, the fight would sue the hell out of the manager.

  5. I don't. Free agents are a great source of ready-to-fight fighters for newer managers. Some of my best fun in mmatycoon comes from free agents I hired. The system might be open to abuse, but the positives outweight the negatives for me. Anyway, was anyone abusing the free agent system before it was possible to pay for an early release? If no, then there's the culprit.

  6. I believe that the reasoning would be to the same as the first slowdown - to spread fighters along the range of hype/pop and make bigger fights, events and PPVs more viable. Currently the no 1 fighter has about 50% of all possible hype and I guess Mike thinks/knows it's because fighters are leaking too much hype/pop in the standard time it gets to get another fight, especially at the top. To get much higher than current 50% in the previous system you'd have to do something like Philip Dale's 7 fight win streak in 7 weeks.

  7. That would be like selling a boost to learning speed for real money. If what you propose was possible, you could put everything into cardio aptitude, get it really high really fast, then reset and repeat with strength, athleticism and styles (though to a lesser degree, but still...). You'd have to stop once maintenance got too high, but it would still be an unfair advantage.
