  1. I'm trying to sell a newly created bookie ( Felagund's bookie http://www.mmatycoon.com/companyfinances_onsale.php?CID=5103&CTYPE=135 ) directly to Jeff Warbringer (in order to transfer the reward I've received from this tournament) and nothing seems to happen - Mr Warbringer doesn't get any mail or anything. I've tried a few times, even tried selling it to myself, no mails get sent. EDIT: Apparently it's only autosending mails that is not working, mr Warbringer was able to buy the company from an appropriate page.
  2. thanks and thanks for the fight. I wasn't confident in Tazar's victory at all (trash talking was just for fun ) and watching the play by play was the most exciting moment in my MMATycoon 'career'. Also, thanks again to the Warbringers org, it's awesome.
  3. Just as I said, my client, Mr. Tazar, showed that bestigors are just that much better than gors. Also, if anyone wonders why Mr. Tazar was unavailable during the post-event press conference: he was still bursting with energy after the fight and went to celebrate his victory and satisfy his wild nature on the famous beaches of Rio de Janeiro. I hear that Mr. Tazar enjoys the company of fine Brazilian women, if you catch my drift.
  4. Hmm, nearly there with this guy - Wrestling at Wonderful++, BJJ at Remarkable++, Boxing at Superb-. I'll work on Boxing and keep an eye on this, after all, there might be a shortage of applicants, as beasts usually have good training already.
  5. The result of Unremarkable Tournament's final fight is a foregone conclusion - Bestigors are just much better than Gors Some even say that "Gors are mighty, and the mightiest of gors are bestigors.". Clearly, by virtue of name alone the stars favour Tazar to defeat Keyman.
  6. Well, I was about to join when I checked him out and noticed that he had a whole month of training with good supps in a good sparring & cardio gym. Not exactly a level playing field.
  7. Yup, he probably should. I've checked his Body Mass Index, it's 12 and then I've googled a bit and apparently people whose BMI falls below 15 suffer from severe health problems and require hospitalization and this guy is way lower. No wonder he lost, the whole force behind his punches is his opponent running into his skeleton hands. I guess he wasn't knocked out only because his opponent didn't manage to land a headstrike and there's no leg kick KOs in this game (or even knockdowns).
  8. If that is the case with proposed training changes, it's a great way to put the fast learner hidden more in line in terms of usefulness with other hiddens. I am not sure if that's what Mike means there. Anyway, overall the changes look very good, can't wait to have them online and kicking!
  9. Well, it's hard to explain, but if you saw it, you'd know. Anyway, tried it out in Chrome and everything's fine there. I guess that's some relict of the old firefox or maybe some weird interaction with my add-ons, probably nothing to worry about.
  10. Today I went to Synchronicity's org page, decided I wanted to see some past org news, went to the relevant subpage (http://www.mmatycoon.com/orgoldnewspublic.php?type=9&cid=108), clicked the second news item on that page and it caused the whole page to have a weird seizure (it started jumping up and down). Couldn't scroll or click anything. It only affected that one tab. Using Firefox 3.6.17.
  11. I'd like to say that I like these previews a lot too, can't wait for the next one featuring the Unremarkable Tournament
  12. I score that round a 8:10 loss by the fans. Seriously, when a hugging contest like that happens, judges should fall asleep and decide the winner by a coin toss. Who knows, maybe that's already what happens, hence the result.
  13. Well, I've been lone wolfing it for over a year in this game and quite successfully, I think (a 15 fight win streak done with just about three fighters and before I became a VIP seems like an exciting accomplishment . Now, however, since I'm all set to stay for much longer, hopefully, and getting more and more excited about the Tycoon, I want to find some allies and forge a few friendships to talk about the game (because my friends aren't interested in the game, sadly ). Also, I'm looking to answer the question that is nagging me: am I that good or that lucky? So, ideally, I would like to ally with people who we capable of answering that question after comparing notes. Finally, it would be splendid if I got some help in the tycoon part of the game, because it seems rather useful, yet I'm not really all that interested in working it out on my own. I'll also mention that I have had many positive experiences with many other managers in the game, including almost all owners of orgs I have been involved with and would gladly join their alliances, but I'm shy and don't want to bother them all with messages along the lines of "hey, is your alliance nice? can I join?" So, if anyone thinks "hey, I'd like to talk to this dude about this game" after reading this, shoot a pm to my manager account (linked below) Finrod Felagund
  14. The question I'd have is - how a 150 cm man can land 70 elbows to the head of someone 40 cm taller? His elbows wouldn't even go that high.
  15. I was playing for over a year before I got VIP (thanks to generosity of hairymachine) and I would keep going if I didn't get VIP (though now I'll be able to renew on my own ). This is the best browser and the best MMO game ever even when you are non-VIP.
  16. It also depends on what you want to do. Leg kicks damage the opponent's speed, while body kicks damage his energy.
  17. this page really reads like a who's who of mmatycoon (both manager- and fighter-wise).
  18. I'd like to compete in this one.
  19. Not if their fighters were forced to do additional weight cutting before the fight (like it is today for fighters who barely miss weight). Then it would pose a dilemma - is extra weight worth the additional energy hit (which I assume already happens) - and hopefully the answer to this question would remain uncertain (which wouldn't be a problem, lots of things about the fight engine remain uncertain and mysterious). Well, no reason why this couldn't be added along with agreeing to catchweights.
  20. I've got an idea! There should be a checkbox "Agree to catchweight if opponent doesn't make weight" that you can tick when accepting a fight. Whether a manager ticked it should remain a secret for everyone except that manager until fight time (so an org owner couldn't relay this to that manager's opponent if they were up to something shady) and then - a no contest prevented! ... and while I'm here, I'll also say that I would be in favour of random NCs (and even better yet, DQs!), especially if such a change came together with a new hidden - Good Behaviour. The lower you have, the more infractions you cause, risking DQ (though, I guess, it could net you some advantage in the cage - unless we'll go all didactic and make being a bad boy a 100% disadvantage). Also, this game could use TKO (Injury). Make that hidden mean something! On the other hand, I would also be fine with org black ops which kidnap fighters to get them to events at the last possible moment (and make the fighter pay for it too). They could be opt-ins for managers, like a checkbox for catchweight fights I described above, so if you still get an NC in your org, you'll know that the manager who caused it is a dick.
  21. Well, I didn't notice the thread before, but I wholeheartedly agree. Especially since you can get achievements for things like knockouts and submissions by signing free agents (I got bronze tri this way). Pretty silly.
  22. That's interesting, though not unexpected. After all, my muay thai guys did their fair share of kicks to the groin.
  23. Now that's what the world wants to see. Go go Astoria vs Lunar, make mmatycoon's history!
