  1. This has been suggested before. On numerous occasions. One time I, myself suggested it. Bt it got shot down. It would require a lot of coding and I was basically told that if I wanted it t be seriously considered that I would need to develop it more. I havn't had the time to do so, but if you want to word with me on something like this then PM me and maybe we can put our heads together and work something up.

I'm always down for brainstorming for the greater good of the game. (GGoG)

  2. Im sure this has been suggested before. Oh well.

Why do we have nutrition companies (which arent really a staple of MMA) but not venue companies? Think about the options this could open up for game growth. It will help make MMATycoon more of the wonderfully unique game it is. It wouldnt need to be an extremely comprehensive and complex system. It could be a simple system that would be risk versus reward.

    Random features could include:

Setting the capacity (a risk if you have too much starting off)

Setting "accommodations" a value you spend on perks for patrons and fighters

Reward venue owner for having higher ranking fighters fight at venue

Keep track of event quality. if you run better shows your attendance jumps more quickly

Orgs and venue owners could barter for deals to benefit both parties

Rental fee could be adjusted to owners liking. Also allowing discounts for certain orgs

Existing auto-venues could be kept open to give the companies some starter competition

I am aware this could conflict with orgs, but I think the idea could be smoothed out into a good one

  3. Hello, I am trying to sell my company Ironhand Fightwear to gain funds for a gym. The company is debt free and will be fully in stock soon. There are enough designs to keep it running. I just want to have a gym for alliance mates. There is about 10k in the business account and that is not enough for gym.

If any of you rich managers want to buy it I will be happy and to show gratitude I can extend your VIP if you'd like. Or maybe we can do a manager to manager loan. Just please help if you are able.

  4. I know I said I was done with the forums but I need to ask a question of all of you and since most of the knowledgeable managers post here...

Lately I have been accused of dodging fights that are 'even' to pad my ranking. That I avoid any fights with managers of equal or greater hype. Well I'm going to show why accusations like that or even using Comp Rating is a stupid idea. Of course there are extreme cases like Joel Nicola. And optimally, the highest ranking manager WITH ALSO the best comp rating would be considered extremely skilled and the best. He wouldn't ever be accused of dodging or padding.

Perhaps some people accept any fight they are given. They are warriors who go at it win, lose or draw. They are like Sargent Slaughter. Never back down!!!!

Well that's a perfectly fine way to feel. But, let me ask: Who here out of those who practice MMA (or have even professionally fought) would willingly accept a fight versus Urijah Faber if Faber wasn't famous? It's the same as offering me an unfair fight in a small org. You'd take your loss and severe beating and not really feel like you "let it all out in the cage". You got your ass kicked and now you've dropped rank.

See this fight: http://www.mmatycoon.com/fightcommentary.php?FTID=427887 . Storm has good physicals but still got destroyed without any chance. I accepted it because as it was a title fight I think the better fighter should win and be champion. But if some starter org that my fighter is in does not have a good range of fighter IDs or isn't restricted somehow, I will always decline fights that do nothing but prevent me from being #1. I already feel confident that I could win vs any manager with everything equal other than sliders so I don't need to pick only fights I will win.

Which reminds me. Who always looks at the manager of the fighters they get offers against? Especially newer managers (like me)? Most players who have been playing as long as I have are lower rank. I do not have a fighter below 159,000 ID. I started with all 25 year olds and now want only a couple and the rest to be project fighters since fights arent important to me as much as growing fighters the right way.

So I ask everyone: Just how much can you really tell based on comp rating?

edit: Mails to me from an org owner.

anybody can get a great rating by turning down fights. Fight some competition, pussy. Worst Comp Rating Lance Templeton (-284,622)

    Jonathan Brookins (-50,208)

    Jay Bittner (-21,208)

    Mike Melton (-16,427)

    Pat Miletich (-14,933)

    Nicholas Wolfwood (-5,290)

    Mack Dervius (-5,182)

You decline all the equal fights. Not only are you a pussy, but you're one of the biggest pussies in the world. Your pussiness is even ranked. Worst Comp Rating Lance Templeton (-284,622)

    Jonathan Brookins (-50,208)

    Jay Bittner (-20,247)

    Mike Melton (-19,092)

    Pat Miletich (-14,858)

Mack Dervius (-5,900) People only have to click on you to see what a coward you are.

  5. I've reordered stock but won't be promoting through here. It's too spammy. I also want to open a gym for my alliance. I do not have quite enough funds. So if anyone is interested in buying Ironhand let me know. It will be a reasonable price.

I am moving onto other projects with MMATycoon including helping newbies. I need someone for a project. You don't have to be good at Mike's game, just want to put in some work for greater good. So that 20 people don't run these forums. I actually like jacky now, he's not bad at all.

  6. Get down to the ground alliance is an alliance created so managers can help each other out with fight sliders, give tips on developing fighters, and helping out in general.

Also you can do partnerships and hire people if you need anyone.

Our new official name is T.K.O. Inc.. We're the next generation of best managers, so step aside.

  7. <!--quoteo(post=185009:date=Sep 1 2010, 03:50 PM:name=skidmarks)--><div class='quotetop'>QUOTE (skidmarks @ Sep 1 2010, 03:50 PM) <a href="index.php?act=findpost&pid=185009"><{POST_SNAPBACK}></a></div><div class='quotemain'><!--quotec-->I think the idea of starting your own company is sweet but I can play games just like this for free (vivi.com).<!--QuoteEnd--></div><!--QuoteEEnd-->

there is no other game like this, you mite play a cheap imitation game but it aint no mmatycoon. the tycoon assist page is worth the 10 bucks alone .

I think the slider system is worth $18.82 due to inflation

  8. Sorry guys.

Consider this whole program (and my participation on the MMATycoon forums) cancelled. I have worked too hard on everything and I was dumb to think I could do anything but make people think of this as a free VIP deal. That's why I added extra stipulations at the end. To see who checks. After hours and hours of waiting and nothing on here and my newbie guide I am just really going to spend my time typing elsewhere :P

I will find a way to reward Wylliemma and db1996 then will likely be selling the company. I will just work on my fighters and use my real life cash to keep MY VIP going.

These forums are a ghost town and basically the top 20 managers dictating who posts and the attitude they post with. I even got caught up in the hating Jacky trend because thats all I saw before I signed up for forums and figured it was the norm.

Anyway you can PM me if you want but I doubt anyone will read this anyway. I'll see you guys and your fighters in the cage :D

  9. This was a bad april fools prank by a newbie manager who was trying to fit in on the forums. Sorry.

I won't return here so you guys can have your funny jokes where sarcasm is indicated by big bold tags.

    Au Revoir :)

  10. I was wondering if there was anybody with space for anywhere up to four fighters? I can offer you money (depending on the cost to fly to the location) in addition to the gym fees so let me know if you have a gym that will take up to 4 18-19 year old fighters who need more time to train.

edit: problem solved via pm, thanks!
