1. I don't see how this would really be a great improvement... I think it would be cooler to have additional options. Like, "Remark on finish" or "Trash talk opponent". There is already space to write whatever you want... obviously you can't always predict the finish but you can at least fudge the speech enough that it works.

  2. I recall reading that it is, just can't remember where. I wish I could show you the link.

**Edit** Still can't remember the actual link, but here is a snippet of info from the August engine changes:

    - Affect of height improved. Height will no longer have such a massive striking land % bonus. A midget stop won't be able to head kick a giant but the giant won't automatically be able to head kick the midget. Slight boost to power of shorter people of the same weight. Basically this is now a more even balance. (Height vs power). As before, some strikes are better for tall guys, some are equal for both, takedowns are easier for short guys... just the balance has been altered a bit in terms of % landed / damage when landing. Short guys nowfind it easier to body punch and perform takedowns in clinch.

I think this pretty much clues you in that height is taken in to account. Hope this helps.

It does, thanks. I've got this exact situation coming up (fighting a 151cm HW) and was wondering if I could make him regret that.

Well Wrinkle, I gotta hand this one to you. You guys put on a great fight and it could have gone either way. But you really laid it on and showed how serious you are about the title. I will take back what I said. Since you have shown a bit of professionalism following your win I am glad to offer you a shot at the belt after I beat Michaels. It's only fair.

I will give you fair warning... I am not one to fall victim to random punches. You better expect to be tested on all fronts, my friend. I look forward to our fight; win, lose, or draw.

  4. Umm im going to go ahead and nominate myself ... been playing for 3 months and id say that iam very worthy of this award ... i feel like i shoulda been playing this game along time ago

    ME^^^^^^

Impressive, but you're only ranked 1600ish, whereas *I* am in the 800s and only getting better muha

edit: I started in September and have purchased VIP with full slots. So maybe it's easy for me to gain ranks. I really do not want to be nominated.

  5. Hey can people take my example and link to their fighters profile when posting as them? If you don't know how:

    1. copy your fighter's profile URL

    2. when posting, click the thing that looks like a chain link

    3. enter the URL where told and your fighter's name (or whatever you want)

    4. it will look like

    My fighters name

  6. There may have been topics like this in the past, so I'm sorry if this is a dumb thread idea. I just thought it would be cool to know of some of the fighters to be on the look out for in 2012. Do you have a young (130k+ish maybe?) fresh 18 year old fighter who seems to train like a machine at everything he does? Does he seem to have a chin harder than Ron Jeremy and a bigger heart than Minotauro Noguiera on PCP? Well post him here! Maybe we'll get some superfights out of this and see who has the best rookie. Maybe your fighter will get the contract of a lifetime.

My best fighter (in terms of training) is by far "Sharp" Frank Shank from Los Angeles, fighting at DBC: The Black Hole at 205 with a record of 2-0-0. He is probably not the greatest learned MMATycoon has ever had, but in the past 30 days, he has popped nearly every other one (on average). I have not bothered much with his primaries other than raising his BJJ from Abysmal to Medicore in 10 sparring sessions, which is something I guess his gym has more to do with.

Anyway, go ahead. The world wants to see your most badass unknown ninja warrior cyborg fighter!

(edit: since the time of writing this, my man "Sharp" Frank Shank has popped twice more. that's my boy.)

Talking is fun. And as for my purple belt, you and I both know that we're gonna stand in this fight. As you know, I think you'll be a tough fight, but I'm getting my belt. ASAP

That's just the thing. ASAP is "as soon as possible" and I hate to break it to you my man... but that shit just is not possible for you. Even *if* I manage to lose it, I can still guarantee you your right hand and your big mouth won't carry you to a title fight. McLeod can and will laugh off anything and everything you throw at him. So the way I see it, you're screwed no matter what you do. I'll be watching the fight, maybe I'll buy you some beers afterward to help you cope.
