  1. Pissed that I lost money on it but oh well...
  2. Not including my own alliance (Hell's Playground), I would say The Fighter's Pit, Boondock Fight Team, Convicted, or FinnFighters would be my top choices.
  3. I'd like to take a minute to expand on what our portly leader had to say in his email to explain why we did what we did and what the future holds. Doeboy and I are friends away from the game. For the past few weeks, we have been talking about doing something big to further DEC's standing. We always felt that DEC was the best kept secret in MMATycoon. When we were having trouble getting our alliance mates to join us, we knew we had a problem. The standard response we would hear was "I'd love to send one of my guys to you but Sydney is just too far." The "problem" with DEC is an inherent problem with Sydney. I had the exact same problem when I ran my org in St. Petes. When I opened RMF in May of 09, the only cities remotely close were Tokyo and London. Since then, A-dam and Helsinki have popped up. No new cities have popped up close enough to Sydney to make it feisible to continue to operate there. Even the close cities are pretty damn far. Its a big energy sap to travel there and it essentially limits us solely to fighters located or willing to move to Sydney. This is purely a business decision that we feel will put our org up with the likes of Syn, CFC, and CFL. Is it a lofty goal? Absolutely. Is it realistic? You betcher ass it is. We are going to slowly phase out operations in Sydney and try to focus on the LA market with an occasional card down unda. We want to accomodate everyone and if you still want to fight in Sydney and don't want to go to LA, we will do what we can. If you are indifferent, then you may be fighting in both cities in the immediate future. LA is a great market for 2 reasons. A) its location is in close proximity to several other markets and no single org has it on lockdown like CFL in London or Russian Combat in St. Petes. We feel we can easily enter the market and be competitive. From a logistical stand point, it just makes sense. Expect big things from us because we aren't done yet. Pacific Coast Extreme Combat will be a household name soon enough.
  4. Ok as long as everyone is still cool, I want to keep this going. As soon as PBR pops up, we'll start picking the next round's fights.
  5. 2 fighters got promoted to black belt in the same sessions. One was Drake Vonstein, now managed by Chuck W94, and the other was Quik Yin, managed by Franky Fin.
  6. Black belt Strong++ wrestling remarkable-- TDs Solid Speed 1 for 8 against a respectable wrestler
  7. His secondaries are more impressive than his primaries and his physicals are through the roof. I fully expect big things from him.
  8. I can't buy a fucking win recently. When my high level wrestlers or BJJ guys can't take down inferior wrestlers and win, I don't know what to say.
  9. OOC When do we get to pick the next matches?
  10. As a former org owner, I don't think its a bad idea. Slap-boxing decision machines may have high hype levels but their popularity will be low and if they are in the ME or CME, it can kill your rating. Pop is easier to build than hype. A couple 100% ratings and your pop will be double your hype thus giving the org a better event rating.
  11. I am sure his secondaries are not all that noteworthy but they should still be good enough to take this fight.
  12. Updated to account for most recent card and discard the 11th most recent. http://i49.tinypic.com/167tjix.jpg Notice how the difference between the results is very minor? We increased 1.2 hype points under my system.
  13. Shields was a D-1 wrestler well before he started BJJ training. So I am not sure what you are getting at here.
  14. I am helping someone with a build and I need to know how many points you get in primaries, secondaries, and physicals for 18 through 22 years old. Thanks.
  15. I am very happy with my team's performance. Kressman was the flat out better fighter against Sol but I am disappointed in the outcome of Reggie and McGrady's fight. To dominate 2 rounds like that and gas out in the 3rd was a tough loss to swallow. Aside from that, I couldn't be happier with my team's performance. I am especially proud of Greg Michaels. He really rose to the occasion and beat a tough fighter. A tough fighter with a questionable gameplan. Not sure what his coaches were thinking on that one.
  16. First I've seen of this thread. I immediately got the first 2 posted and I think I have maybe gotten one or 2 since. Some of these are pretty obscure.
  17. I would love to see that fight. Mainly because I can't stand Babalu and it would be a bloodbath.
  18. Its a pretty long story but I'll give the cliffnotes version. Me, him, EJ Davis, Bliindsided, and Doeboy all started at the ultimatefighter forum back around season 2 or so. That forum is no more. He was alright and I didn't have a problem with him. The other 3 and I all get along fine. Doeboy and I talk daily IRL. The "cool kids" from that forum started a private forum to avoid the idiots. It was a lot of BS mixed in with a little MMA chat run by Joey Oddessa, who is one of the best MMA handicappers in the game as well as the infamous Golden Boy. Basically, just a fun forum to BS and fuck around. Sometime after that, his personally went from the harmless dorky know-it-all to an abrasive, condescending cocksucker. Anyone who's opinion differed from his own was immediately dumb. Shortly thereafter, he threw a temper tantrum and left for good. Blindsided posted a link to the game on the forum and I joined. Soon after, I got EJ and Doeboy to join. Shawn ran Pride and I had 2 fighters in Tokyo. We somewhat reconciled and were on decent terms. Then again, he turned very douchey. When someone would call him out on his douchebaggery, he would play dumb and take the role of the victim. That's when I started openly bashing him because I know how he is and he would openly tell me what he was doing (like holding fighters hostage when they asked for more money). I think that about sums it up.
  19. He has one spar bot that he intended to fight but he picked him up from F/A and saw his stats where horrible and decided to just spar him. He only has one other inactive fighter and the rest spent most of their days in public gyms because he didn't open his own gym until a few months ago and he's been playing the game since like February of '09. Long story short, I disagree.
  20. He graduated from Baylor in like 2008 or so then he was in a Master's program at some college in Ohio. He asked me about Penn State a while back when he was finishing up at Baylor and applying to grad schools.
  21. http://www.mmatycoon.com/orgeventpublic.php?EvID=2477 May 27th 2009 3 still active, 2 of these are mine.
