  1. If you were able to bet more than $5 (although I think one guy does $25) I think there would be a lot more action.

Another factor is probably the odds--I mean you see +200 or +300 all the time with big underdogs, but everyone seems to keep it in the +100 to +150 range because they don't want to tke the risk of losing their shirt on a big upset.

I think it'll be big once the odds are more attractive, and when theirs just a shortcut icon that leads you to a list of bookies.

What pisses me off are the bookies offering odds like -300 +125 on a fight. That is ludacris. I know they are in it to make money but fuck, I won't even bet with them if they have any fight that looks like that. They are just running up the juice.

  2. Based on the fight summary my fighter took an eye poke then was TKO'd

I asked shawn if my fighter could have a rematch due to the unfortunate circumstances. He proceeded to ignore me and set my fighter up against someone that he subbed in about a minute in their first fight.

The least he could have done was acknowledged my email.

If the manager of Austin is in this thread I would greatly appreciate if you would ask Shawn to set up a rematch. If Kinte loses, then its clear Austin is the better fighter. However, based on the circumstances of the fight's play-by-play its hard to say who the better fighter is.

If you get a win in there and assuming Austin gets by Hazem El Magic, I'd have no objections to a rematch. I told Shawn the only way I would leave Choke is if Steve got Kunte in his first fight. But as other posters said, the 'eyepoke' is more of a fun thing like saying a fighter got kicked in the junk. In the end, it had no real bearing on the outcome of the fight. When my other fighter, Joseph Jones, beat Fidel Puno, the same line was in the commentary. So I don't care, we can do it again.

  3. Can't wait for the PPV, especially if there's a collaborative effort. You have to admire the ingenuity of Syn City to constantly try out new things.

I would love to eventually give Hollywood a crack at either Sol or Mendez...assuming Wally would give me a one fight release.

I've heard rumors that Tuberculo will indeed move up to HW to fight Barack Lesnar--of course these are just rumors at this point. Barack is a beast though, and a big HW--would be a really toughh match for Tuberculo, but very exciting. I've heard he's been looking for his own superfight, so this could be it.

Some dream matchups I'd like to see...

    Mikio Okita vs Antonio Santiago

    Satomi vs Marciano (the rematch)

    Nintendo Takada vs Anthony Lowe

    Travis Wood vs Paolo Mendez

    Tor Nansen vs Kunta Kinte

You won't be saying that when Kinte loses to Austin.

  4. You would bet that kind of money against the 8-0 #4 p4p guy?

Setsuna is smart. He knows Austin has the boxing/power to KO Kinte, the wrestling to keep it standing, and enough BJJ acumen to avoid anything Kinte throws at him on the ground. Couple these three factors in with the facts that Setsuna runs Choke, the org in which Steve made his name (so he knows better than most of what Steve is capable of), and the fact that Kinte's morale is shit and you have a very solid bet.

Jerry threw the best fighters he had at Steve and Steve dominated all of them. It pained me to have Steve leave Choke because Jerry treated Steve very well. Despite having a very tough division, Steve needed a challenge and I wanted Kunte. I told Shawn the only way I would sign with him was if Steve's first fight was against Kunte. I have been scouting him since he beat Marcos for the belt and have been preparing Steve for him since then. I wouldn't bet against Steve. Kunte's morale will finally catch up with him. No matter who he beats, his morale stays low. He can only dodge so many bullets. This time, the bullet will hit him on the chin and put his lights out.

  5. Not bragging but my fighter, Joseph Jones, won today and has shot up to #1 P4P. I am wondering why he doesn't have a trophy for it. He has a #1 HW trophy but no #1 P4P trophy. I am pretty proud of this and would like to see it there as it shows I manage the best fighter in the game (YB Sol is the best fighter in the game in all honesty but Jones' hype is higher...for now).

  6. Oh, yeah, that one was a totally bogus call on my part. I just looked at what the other guy had on the fight and changed it a bit. I should probably change it, but what's the use? No one's betting at First Canadian Bookies. The other guy ha almost 3000 in pending bets. Of course, his potential losses are probably pretty impressive aswell...

Just out of morbid curiosity, why is my fighter, Joseph Jones, the defending Pride HW Champ and the #1 HW in the World, the underdog?

  7. Umm, ok mayby I give you back some % for saying that I`ll win. My own prediction, Miller TKO R2.

Awww...its cute you think your guy stands a chance. Its even funnier that you think Miller is going to KO Jones. Don't blink or you'll miss Miller falling to the mat unconscious.

Jones TKO (Punches) RD 1 0:08
