  1. I really like this idea as it is very true to actual BJJ. I love letting people go for the armbar while im in their guard just so they open their guard and I can block then slip into side control.
  2. This seems to just boil down to making 1 fight contracts, unless they want to keep the title / hold the title in two organisations. If it was just money, then you should just only agree to one fight contracts.

    BS

I don't know about the bad call, in the post fight presser Hendricks said he saw Amir's eyes roll back in his head. I'm the kind of person who thinks, if you get knocked out, even for a split second, it is a warranted stoppage. Safety first imo, but you never know if what Hendricks thinks he saw was what actually happened.

    gym/work schedule

I have a related question. What are the downsides to training while injured. My fighter broke his foot on some guys face or something and is injured for 10 days, but has a fight in 12 days. I set him to train again, but I really don't want him injured for his fight. Will the injury stay longer if I train, will he get hurt more or do I just gain less from the training while injured.
  5. Don't flatter yourself, in the MMA world that means you go to sleep fast
  6. You basically just killed my work computer for a few minutes with those gifs haha.
  7. The thing about Anderson is I know he is amazing, but he still seems human and beatable. Does anyone know what I mean. To me my favorite fighter (Fedor) seems inhuman and unbeatable, which of course isnt true. Anderson is probably on par with Fedor but still doesn't have that aura about him.
  8. Ya I think that may have been his name.
  9. That's true, but the fact that he owns a portion of the company, it is in his interest to see the company succeed.
  10. I might play again if the ocnnection issues are fixed. Getting put in clinch and being unable to time a counter because of the lag really makes the game no fun.
  11. What you say is very true, and not only are they his management, but Fedor owns part of M-1. Maybe even as much as 10-15%.
  12. This actually kind of scares me since My middle finger knuckle is significantly larger than all the others. when I punch it is all concentrated on that one knuckle. I'm going to end up with the most messed up hands...
  13. Dude if Fedor fought Arlovski again, Arlovski would actually kill himself this time.
  14. I think having one for normal browsers would be primo as well so you can go from -100% to +100% on each bar. This would make tactics easier to plan out and would probably get rid of a lot of confusion. ie. Leg -S---------------|---------------- Body [ -95% ]
  15. Haha love how at the end the guy is taunting him and gets knocked out about 2 punches later.
  16. Personally, most of Fedor's best competition is not in the UFC. Carwin and Brock are the only people I would want to see him fight in UFC. He already beat Nog twice and he beat Crocop. Mir wouldn't stand a chance even with his BJJ as Fedor is far too explosive and quick. At the moment his best fights would be Overeem and Rogers. Also Buentello isn't even worth Fedor's time, it would just be a first round sub for Fedor. Edit: Whoever says "he doesn't want to fight the best" are just UFC nuthuggers. Brock is the only person I would want him to fight since I hate Brock, but Brock is in no way "the best". Randy is almost done with UFC as well so that fight is a possibility outside the UFC. If Fedor was a light heavy then sure that point is valid, but UFC HW division is garbage. Just the notion of Fedor dodging competition is absurd. He has never lost (cut doesn't count in my books) and has only been even close to losing a fight a handfull of times, and every time he won within that round (Rocked, then he subbed the guy in the next minute, dropped on his head and the guy was tapping within 30 secs.). I am biased since I'm a huge Fedor fan, but look at the guy, he ain't afraid of shit.
  17. That's why there is basically only 1 Judo fighter who is remotely popular and has a fairly good record in America. This being Karo Parysian (Spelling?), and maybe that new guy who entered the UFC recently who was a world champ in Judo.
  18. It's MMA so no single "style" will be better than another as everyone has many different styles. From what i can see now, Machida's elusive striking seems to be the most effective. To me though it just makes sense that a great wrestler and striker will win, take Fedor for example, his sambo plus his insane hand speed is what makes him a monster. Another example would be Rashad and Matt Hughes in his prime (though he was much more wrestling than striker). If you can find a world class BJJ practitioner who can wrestle and has good footwork...that fighter will be very dominant as well. In short, combining styles is the best. If you were in a lower level of competition though where most guys don't have great footwork or wrestling, the BJJ guy will win almost every time imo.

    Gym Costs

Yeah I've already looked up a lot on fight organisations and will probably go that route as it seems a lot cheaper at first and the payoff is better from te beggining. But wow gyms are expensive, how do gyms with a fee of 200$/week with 100 fighters in it (200 x 100 = 20 000) pay for their 5 elite coaches considering that would cost 20k in coach fees (if 10k+ is for 3 than 5 would probably be arount 18k plus other expenses). I guess you really need to make a profit off another company to be able to properly compete in the gym business as you will take huge losses for the first month or more. 50k in loans might not cover all your expenses and starting small will probably land you very few fighters and you will have to fire your old coaches when u progress.

    Gym Costs

I was thinking of getting VIP and setting up a gym or promotion. I know generally how much a fight organisation will cost, but not as much for a gym. Basically I want to know how much equipement would cost as well as say a coach with a single elite skill. I would probably look to start with a Elite Boxing, and Elite Wrestling and BJJ, and an elite Circuit Trainer. This would probably cost a fortune though. A second part of this question would be whether I can own a gym and a organisation at the same time? This way I would make a fight organisation and use my profits to start a decent gym later on. This would also give my fighters time to progress and gain the skills necessary to be good sparring partners for new members. So any advice, tips, or general knowledge would be greatly appreciated.
  21. I think I would be more scared that your fighter's limp, unconscious body would block the cage door.
  22. My fighter Bill Clinton, who has recently returned from a humanitarian mission in North Korea, would like to express his excitement for his matchup in SFC. I believe Dart will be overwhelmed by our gameplan, bringing us an easy first octagon win, and one step closer to a title shot.
