    messed up part is they let him carry both ufc belts and actually announced him as two division champion

    Yeh. That was strange. I'm just glad they didn't introduce him as "the greatest Mixed Martial Artist of his Generation" or some bullshxt like that. The "biggest attraction in UFC" was acceptable (and true, to be fair).

     

    Surprising how Conor's power was almost entirely nullified with the 8 oz gloves. That's what surprised me the most, even the bigger shots he landed looked like they had no pop in them.

    It's like taking the best Squash, Badminton, or Table Tennis player in the world, sticking him on Center Court at Wimbledon, and feeding him to Federer.

     

    Straight sets, every damn time.

    Similar sports, different racquets, different rules.

     

    My question is, would anyone be arguing for that Squash player, or Badminton player, to have any chance to beat Federer, like people are McGregor against Mayweather? I think not.

     

    And the same could likely be said if you reversed roles, and put Federer against prime Lin Dan on a Badminton court. He'd lose. The same as if you stuck Floyd in an Octagon, he'd be like a fish out of water.

     

    For Conor to now be a 3/1 (after opening at 10/1 in some books) dog is insane and gives credit purely to the marketing the UFC are using for the fight. If Conor himself believed he had any chance of winning this fight he would of drafted in someone like Freddie Roach for his entire camp, and he wouldn't still be using Artem Lobov as his lead sparring partner. Why didn't he? Most likely because he knows he isn't going to win so why throw away part of his purse paying for the team when he can keep the money.
