  1. I'm not even remotely near a top manager, and I actually just started recently, hut even I would quit if there was a reboot. I think there are two things that would be vast improvements to the game. Most importantly is raising the learning speeds. I'm all for being patient but it is really painfully slow and will turn some people off to the game. Secondly, either adding new skills or lowering the total skill cap so it allows more variety in skills. Also Groundwork is still underpowered, so further balancing the game engine would be tertiary to the first two changes I've mentioned

  2. Is there a general estimate to figure how long it takes a skill to increase through training? For example if my conditioning is a 12, and my strength is an 8, how many weight sessions until strength raises to a 9? Or what other attributes would effect how long this takes?

    Thanks!

Physicals train at the same rate. Secondaries are affected by your learning speed hidden. I don't know how many sessions exactly it would take to go from 8 to 9 in strength, but your non physical skills are gonna be different for different fighters, dependant on learning speed.

  3. I had one today with sort of an escape -- he kicked him off but for some reason jumped down into his guard -- not sure why he did that as he was set to no follow to ground and set to get up -- although didn't show escape maybe cause considered it more grappling not sure

Flodder shoots in from a long way out. He's driving through with the takedown attempt and he eventually gets it, landing in Milat's guard.

    Flodder postures up.

Flodder is looking to pass into half guard but Milat pushes him away with his feet and jumps on top - now Milat is in guard.

Flodder has his foot on Milat's thigh. He's trying to push off and get in position for a triangle, I think. Milat works his way back into a safe position though.

I'm far from an expert but I think that would just be flavor text for a sweep, though the writing does make it seem like an escape.

  4. Hey guys, I recently moved my org from NY to Amsterdam under a new name (Red Light Fights). I saw that Amsterdam had only one other org with no ID restriction, so I figured we could use a little diversity, as it is one of the more populated cities in the game. Anyway, I'm looking for more fighters so please message me if you have anyone that needs a contract!

  5. Yeah my boys were going every which way Lol i had on regular boxers that day. I picked up i pack of compression shorts and am gonna get a decent rash guard when i get paid this week. Should i go with compression shorts and broad shorts or compression pants and broad shorts. I sweat a decent amount and dont wanna be that guy who sweats all over everyone lol

I always just rock compression shorts and boardshorts with no cup. Cup is more hassle than it's worth, just constant pinching of your balls. It's also easy to use the cup as a crutch for bad armbar technique, so if you don't wear one it eliminates that. Also bjjhq.com is a dope website that you can get cheap gear on, but they only sell 1 item per day

  6.

You could make a fighter like that yourself. He didn't pop anything good - powerful just means he has about 12 strength, maybe not even that, and no better hiddens. He might have messed up secondaries and physicals too.

Shoot, that wasn't actually the fighter I tried to pick up. The one I tried to had granite chin popped, that's why I tried to pick him up! This kinda detracts from my point. I'll try and pick up a few more people in the next few days and post an example to illustrate. Hopefully I'll get the fighter right next time haha!

  7. Yeah, the amount of morale he drops after a loss indicates his confidence. And yes, its possible to drop all his morale in one loss.

If you collect information on hiddens like me for fighters, whatever the percentage of his morale is.. for example 76%. Just multiply by 1.5 and you'll have his confidence hidden :)

What sucks about confidence is that, it might not win you a fight. But it will certainly lose you one, low confidence fighters will get overwhelmed quickly and turn into a punching bag.

Wow that's an awesome tip to find out the exact confidence hidden, thanks!

  8.

Yea, KO power will show over Intelligence. A lot of people rank Intelligence as one of the lowest things to pop since it means everything else isn't that great. Having a high IQ fighter is good however, just popping it on the TOTT is not.

Nice, thank you, I saw that hieracrchy post before, I just hadn't understood it until you explained it to me! I just sacked my fighter that popped intelligence :D

  9. I can't seem to find it but somewhere in the forums there is a ToTT Hierarchy, which gives you what's the best thing to 'pop' down to the worst. The best thing is a granite chin, this will pop over other really good hiddens as well such as KO power. KO Power/Heavy Handed is also one of the best things to pop as is solid chin/good chin. However a fighter will need more than 1 test fight imo to truly tell his hiddens, such as confidence etc.

EDIT: i found the Hierarchy for you http://www.mmatycoon.com/forums/index.php?showtopic=48564&hl=, gives a good breakdown on what you can get

Ah okay, thank you! I think I get it. So if I have a fighter that shows say "intelligent" then I know that his ko power/chin, are fairly low? Whatif I have a fighter that has say 150 intelligence, and maybe like 135 KO power. Will KO power still show because it's higher on the hierarchy, or will intelligence show because it is so high

  10. Hey so I've noticed a lot of managers that recommend that you take your project into a QFC to test hiddens before you invest a lot of time/money into training them. I was wondering what exactly you're looking for when you look at the tale of the tape. I know that of course you'll keep a fighter with say granite chin but what about hiddens aside from that? Is determined or big heart better than say knockout power or intelligence, for example? I'm just not sure what are the more desirable traits to have appear

  11. As others have said, high IQ is nice, but hardly necessary for successfull fighter. Having taken the IQ test is nice because now you know that since he has a low IQ you need to have the slider set more to "follow my orders." Without the test, IQ is one of the more difficult hiddens to try and quantify.
