  1. There should be diminishing returns. The more times you post consecutively back to back like say 5-10 posts in 2 minutes like spammers do the less hype you get. There should be a cooldown before you can get max hype.

Yeah spamming is the only thing that I would have a problem with too. Maybe if the amount of times the fight card was viewed in advance due to the trash talk interest, would defer from mindless spamming and dickpicks. Or maybe if the fighters talking trash would have to tag the event to add hype. I know we can't have nice things tho because there's really no way around spammers, even with Buzz in it's current state cause as of right now there are about 3 shemale dickpics on my Buzz feed right now lol.

  2. I've been thinking and maybe some agree, maybe not. But it would be even more fun for the game if fighters hyping up fights on Buzz actually translated to fighter hype in general. Even for the organizations. The event hype should be a reflection of hype generated from somewhere other than just the amount of fights taken by the participants. It would be cool if, for example, two fighters that are set to fight each other are talking shit on Buzz. The more back and forth they exchange by tagging each other, should be tallied as extra hype towards the fight as a whole, which would add hype to the card as a whole. This might actually ignite a more engaging fake social media platform as fighters would be enticed to engage in trash talk in order to better "sell the fight". Just an idea to give Buzz a little more meaning. If you agree or disagree or have some better ideas post it here cause this is something I've discussed with a few org owners and they all agree it would make the game more fun. What do y'all think?

  3. Hey everyone, the final spot in the main draw of 64 has been filled. I will get the group list updated tonight and release the schedule. I will also get a plan in place to see these guys start getting signed to the Orgs.

One more note, because we only have 8 reserves and not the 16 we originally hoped for, I will be splitting these 8 into 2 groups of 4. This will mean the reserves will square off twice against those in their division and in one case you will fight the same fighter a third time. This is the easiest method for scheduling, not ideal but I have no other choice unless I look at the Superfight option. I will update everyone on this tonight.

I dont have 64 fighters as of this morning and because the post here was time stamped as the 18th when Bravo announced the fighter I will allow him. If my math is correct here once guys confirm following the 20th I will require 9 fighters to hit 64 and have 7 reserves currently confirmed. Not sure yet on what we will do to fill the final 2 slots yet I am still looking. If anyone has already announced their fighter here previously and I have missed it please let me know.

Thanks I almost crapped out a baby. Apologies for the visiual.

  5.

So recently I have a feeling and I am sure I am not alone, there is likely many many managers of this game who feel the same as I do. The game has gotten stale, boring, lacking imagination or energy. Long gone are the days of active smack talk, managers showing a creative side and truly enjoying the game for what it is, a text based fantasy game where we create identities, persona's and ultimately succesful legends! Based on all of this an idea came to me that I want to throw out there to the masses, most wont remember as this took place all the way back in 2012 but I would like to try and reboot one of the most enjoyed, successful and entertaining tournaments we have ever witnessed. Yes I agree it fizzled out alittle at the end, but overall it was amazing and if it wasnt for Ethan Downs cheating his way to victory....wait thats a story for another day.

Anyways I would like to try and recreate the League of Leagues tourney!! It wont be easy, it may not be well received, we may need to adjust some of the rules to get the participation we require but if successful, it could make some managers filthy rich!! For this to happen I will need some help, I already have a couple volunteers but this will require an active, determined and committed group to pull this off. I will need one, possibly 2 Orgs, and some managers to step up with some bonus $$, some entertaining awards ideas and maybe some sponsorship's! My hope is to get 64 participants plus some reserves but we will have to see how we make out before finalizing the numbers. Lets use this thread as a discussion/sign up thread and then once we know we are set to go we can create a new thread for the actual tourney. Basically I would like to give props to the originator of this idea/format Shiv Hysteria. I am totally stealing his idea however please know, I am not doing this for my own gain, I am doing it in an effort to spark some interest in the game, get people more active, hell maybe even draw some former managers back to participate. Do you know a manager who just left, maybe someone who participated in the orginal run of LoL? get the word out, lets make this as much fun as we can. As of right now I will be following all the original rules set out by Shiv during the first running. I am just doing a copy/paste of the rules below but feel free to discuss. I dont want a bitch session, and I dont want to drift too far from the original rules, but if need be I am open to looking at options.

Original sign up thread for LoL

    Original Tourney/Smack talk Thread

    Here's how it works.

    - This will be a creation tournament. All fighters must be 25 years old. If you have any opinions, feel free to post it in the thread. Fighters must be created during the timeframe that will decided on once we hit our participation number, the creation window will be one week. Any managers who have not created a fighter by the end date could be removed from the tournament (at my discretion).

    - All fights will take place in a city yet to be determined. This will be decided based on arena availablilty and centralized for easy access by all fighters. Fights will take place in the 265+ lbs division. You can make a fighter of any height and any weight, it's up to you but we will be fighting within the 265+ division.

    - Please come up with interesting names / backstories for your fighters. This is not a requirement but it would make the tournament a lot more fun.

    - Ideally there will be 64 fighters. If we enjoy more participation interest over the next few days we will look at increasing the size by increasing total fighters per league. On the flip side we can look at a smaller tourney if interest does not hit our 64 target however that would decrease the prize pool that will be available.

    - There will be 8 leagues (or groups) of 8 fighters each. Each fighter will fight the other fighter in their group once. A win gets a fighter 3 points, a draw 1 point and a loss none. A NC or not accepting your fight results in -3 points. Fights will be once a week so I suggest you remember to tick that injury hidden. You will be expected to fight regardless of how bad your injury is.

    - At the end of the group stage, the top two fighters from each league will advance. This will be based on total points for all the fighters. In case of a tie, the winner will be decided on the bases of things (in the following order): Wins, Head-to-Head Record, Fastest Finish (in the tournament, thanks to the EPL for this tiebreak idea). In the off chance that they are magically even in all these categories, things will be decided on a fight between the two of them. If somehow they end up drawing in that fight, I shall toss a coin to see who goes on, most probably after punching my computer screen in frustration. In total, we will have 16 fighters qualifying by this method. These fighters will get a one week break before the next round of the tournament.

    - 4 more fighters from the unqualified ones will be selected by me. This will be based on my own opinions and will factor in a variety of factors like: performances, hype/pop, activity (on the forums), etc. So hell, if there is a fighter who constantly posts interviews and makes this tournament fun, I'd be likely to pick him. 4 other fighters will be picked from a poll on the forums. This poll will start being conducted a week before the final result of the tournament. These 8 fighters will fight each other for a spot in the final 20.

    - The remaining 20 fighters will then participate in the second group stage, which consists of two 10-person groups. They'll fight each other in the same format as before and the top 4 from each group will go on and fight in a knock-out format to ultimately decide the winner.

    - Do understand that this is not a short tournament. The first round will take 7 weeks with a week break in between and then another 9 weeks and knockout rounds a week each. The total time for the running of this tournament would be 20 weeks. Only if you are interested despite knowing how long it'll last should you join.

    - Contracts will be for something like 24 fights at 1000/1000 to begin with (I may reconsider this, still need to mull it over. Some fighters will end up being out of the tournament way before their total fights. If this happens, we will happily release them or re-neg them to a regular contract whereby they can continue fighting for a little in the org.

    - The prize pool will drop by 30k for every fighter that drops out and be given to the person who agrees to make a replacement for that fighter. If no replacement can be found, 50k will be taken out of the prize pool. This is kept in effect so people think twice before signing up and then again before thinking of skipping out on the tournament. You will get a bad rep from a pool of 60 managers if you run out on the tournament.

    - PLEASE REMEMBER THAT YOU HAVE TO ACCEPT A FIGHT EACH WEEK AND FIGHT EACH WEEK. THIS TOURNAMENT IS NOT FOR PEOPLE WHO MAY/MAY NOT BE ABLE TO BE THAT ACTIVE.

All that aside, the idea behind this whole tournament is to:

    - have frequent, interesting fights.

    - have a shot at winning a huge purse plus other prizes.

    - be on an "even" playing field with other managers. fighters will be new creations and thus, weekly matchups will be very interesting. i doubt many fighters will truly be able to dominate the entirety of the tournament.

    - most importantly, have a good time while doing all of this.

Hell, ideally, I'd love to see people take interest in this and have an opportunity to do weekly smacktalk / interviews etc with their fighters in this.

I treat this like a community project. If you like the idea and want to help organize, run, fund, hell whatever you want with it, message me and we'll make it happen. I'd love if people would like to sponsor more prizes. A weekly FOTN etc prize is one idea that I thought might be awesome. Frankly, if you like the idea of the tournament and are interested in helping with it but don't know how, message me and we'll work from there.

All that said, if you're interested to sign up, post here. If you have thoughts, post here. If you want to do something with this tournament, message me. Hell, if you want to run the org that hosts this, message me.

If, somehow, I am completely insane and there aren't enough people to go ahead with this then well, no loss right?

Sounds dope as fuck. Count me in.

  6. As we all know ( or most).... 18yr olds are most ideal for long term careers. They train better and have longer careers vs say a 25yr old who train slower with less potential for a great fighter. I introduce to you the 18yr old 170lbs division. All fighters signed must be 18 yrs (Also ID restricted 336k+). This will allow fighters not only to ensure fair match ups and not being QFCed against a 25yr old. Also youll have the chance to train plenty as fights wouldnt be offered but every 3 to 4 weeks.

So. Train. Fight. Get better. Fight som more. Make money. Train more.

    Now accepting applicants.

Sign me up. Creating an 18year old Welterweight RIGHT!!! NOW!!!!!!

  7. Hey im 'Eddie Bravo'. Ive been a member for a few years now and after about a year off, just got back into it. Ive done pretty much everything as far as what thw game has to offer and ive noticed that there's a lot of noobies that need a little guidance as far as building fighters up, starting companies, training, and even using Buzz. I got a few secrets too that i wouldnt mind sharing to help make the game a bit more enjoyable so if anybody needs anything at all just PM me(Eddie Bravo). Im too lazy to go back and see what my Manager ID is so just go to Highstreet, look up '11th Planet Jiu Jitsu' in the gyms category, and look for my name if you have trouble finding me. Even if our fighters are "beefing" on Buzz, im still willing to help so dont hesitate to ask.

  8. I need a sponsorship for Joe Cardenas!!

Ive got a fighter that goes by the name of Joe Cardenas who is in need of a sponsor. He is heavy handed, brash, and very active on Buzz. I wanted to know if anyone would be able to sponsor him. He will be loyal to the brand, rock all of your gear, and will give you a shoutout post fight and occasionally on Buzz. You in??

  9. 11th Planet BJJ is in great need of a nutritional partner!!! Almost all of my fighters use my gym so you'll at least have 7 extra guys purchasing your product on top of using the vending machines. Just DM Eddie Bravo(Owner of 11th Planet BJJ) and we can make a deal happen ASAP. Thanks for reading!

    http://s17.postimg.org/6fhfrn6vz/ufc.jpg

Stole this from a guy on another MMA forum so all credit to him. Perhaps we can get it going on here, sounds like a cool idea. I am new to that forum so wasn't allowed in and tbh i will probably be doing the same here as its a whole year league!

    ----------------------------------------------

    Rules:

Firstly, the money below is not tycoon money, it is just a currency to use for this league!

Each player will start with $200,000 to recruit at least 4 fighters to start with. (Draft Rules). Players will take turns choosing their starting 4 fighters until rosters are filled or until no one has any money left. The draft order will be determined randomly after everyone has signed up.

To avoid confusion and to keep it fair, cost and earnings are based on ranking instead of each individual fighters pay.

-Champs will cost $100,000 to recruit but your camp will receive $20,000 for their show money and another $20,000 if they win.

-Top 5 ranked fighters cost $50,000 but your camp will receive $7,500 for their show money and another $7,500 if they win.

-Top 6-10 ranked fighters cost $25,000, but your camp will receive $3,000 for their show money and another $3,000 if they win.

-Top 11-15 fighters cost $10,000, but your camp will receive $1,500 for their show money and another $1,500 if they win.

    - Unranked fighters also cost $10,000, but your camp will receive only $1,000 for their show money and another $1,000 if they win.

You will also receive $5,000 for every bonus one of your fighters gets. POTN/FOTN

The winner of a camp vs camp fight will receive $5,000.

If a fighter in your camp moves up or down in ranking after a fight it will affect your earnings. The goal of the game is to ultimately have the most profitable camp, the best win/loss differential, the best winning percentage, and the highest camp value possible.

You can recruit new fighters at anytime as long as you have the funds. One Fighter a week from Sunday 00:01 AM to Saturday 11:59 PM.

Each player can recruit one new fighter a week, but Camp - Camp trades are always possible as long as you have the funds. (Loans of any kind aren't allowed)

To join you must send me 100K tycoon cash and this will be given to the winner at the end of the League (year)

I bet a bunch of the guys who brought McGregor were shitting their pants in March of this year.lol

    Ahsan Hamed

Reporter: Hello folks, we're here again in lovely Manchester with the local fighting superstar the 2-time and current Omega Fighting Featherweight champion Ahsan Hamed. Welcome Ahsan.

Ahsan: (shakes hand) Thank you Dave, for inviting me into your evening talk show.

Reporter: So, how are you doing, Ahsan? How's your personal life and your career going?

Ahsan: It has been amazing, I have recently proposed to my girlfriend, and we have moved into a nice cosy house to live together instead of living in the flat. Nothing too big, 3 rooms, a kitchen, a bathroom and a small garden. We've also bought a dog, a german shepherd to be exact, so now I'm living a nice and warm family life. As for my career - I'm awaiting for the biggest fight of my life, waht could be better?

Reporter: Congratulations to you for proposing to your girlfriend. Oh, and about the fight - who and when are you fighting next Ahsan?

Ahsan: My next fight will occur at November 27th against the current Omega Fighting Lightweight champion Morrison Lee.

Reporter: No wonder you said it's the biggest fight of your life - even I know who Morisson Lee is! He is 11-0, he's undefeated!

Ahsan: Yes, you are correct. The fight is also for the Lightweight title, so, when I win this, I'll be holding two world titles in Omega Fighting. I don't see Morrison as a huge threat actually. Yes, he's a challenge, he's very well-rounded and has great BJJ, but we have studied him with the coaches, made a specific gameplan, even trained specifically for this fight - I've became a part of a new gym run by my manager, and we have trained specifically for this opponent. Morrison is good, but these days are over.

Reporter: - Alright, it was nice having a chat with you Ahsan, hopefully, you'll bring that belt here to Manchester and make us proud again! This has been Dave's evening talk show, thank you all for watching!

  13. Hello I just wanted to let everyone know that DFC LV will not be going anywhere any time soon. Gabe has handed the company to me to take over effective as of today. I know the company and switched hands a few times and might have caused a bit of turbulence, but I'm promising you to ride out the wave. I will take steps to get everything back on track and moving forward in a positive motion.

In the next few days I will be going through the roster and trim off any fat that may be out there. That way we have nothing, but active and competitive fights on our roster who want to actually fight. Also I want to start looking down each division and formulate a ranking system based on record and hype as it should be. If you feel like your ranking is not high enough please do not complain instead let it motivate you to fight a tougher opponent and prove you have what it takes to reach that #1 spot.

I do have a full time job and actually fight amateur mma. I do have some free time though I believe to run this organization properly, but not without a little help. I'm going to give out an open invitation to anyone in the org who is active and would like help out to message me. I need a strong staff for those who would be interested in posters, previews, and reviews. I would also like to bring back maybe a fighter of the week spotlight where it would pick one fighter in particular for us to showcase and get an exclusive interview with.

In ending, if anyone has an questions or comments feel free to message me. My office is always an open door to use as a platform for their constructive criticism and ways to help the org improve. Thank you all and let's look forward to keeping this train pushing forward.

    Good luck WP

guess who left a large project till the very last day? me of course

Bushido 22 preview should be posted tonight, if not then tomorrow!

    --------------------------------------------------------------------------------------

I had written out the Main Card preview, four bouts, before I lost all of the progress other than the Main Event. Now I'm restricted for time and can't re-write it. Don't be a bellend like me, and remember not to forget to save your progress as you go...

I'm mad, and hungry, but here's the main event preview anyway.

    Bushido 22: Karasev vs. Letho

    Main Event Preview

    http://mmatycoon.com/images/posters/1475255639karasdvc%20vcfasf.png

    Main Event

    Heavyweight Championship Bout

Alexey "Karas" Karasev (6-1-0, 2-0-0) vs. "Viper" Letho of Gulet (5-0-0, 1-0-0)

The final fight of the evening is no other than a Heavyweight Championship bout, as the newly crowned king Alexey Karasev will look to solidify his place at the top of the division, with a successful defence against the clear number one contender. That contender goes by the name Letho of Gulet, a terrifyingly big heavyweight who has already proven himself to be one of most promising youngsters to enter the world of mixed martial arts - and all he needs now is the Bushido gold belt to prove it.

The Champion, Alexey Karasev, was not born with the Bushido belt around his waist, and like many others he would make his MMA debut on The Island regional scene where he picked up a first round KO victory. After a great performance, he was signed by Rumble on the Rock, and he would make three appearances for the organisation before the end of season tournament, winning each one by first round finish. It was then that the Russian would face his first career setback, falling into a submission and being forced to tap out. Karasev signed with Bushido once stepping off The Island, and he would face the also debuting Antonio Magnetti on the main card of Bushido 14: Amanatidis vs. Magufuli. After putting on a dominant display, Karasev was offered a spot in the main event of Bushido 18, with the opportunity to take on the reigning Champion Joseph Parker. Karasev destroyed the Champion after just over a minute, and became the second man to ever hold the Bushido Heavyweight strap. He now faces the biggest challenge of his career, in the terrifying Letho of Gulet.

Letho is part of the next-generation of purebred fighters, and has a lot of eyes on him as he returns to the Bushido ring. "Viper" began his combat career in Kickboxing, where he battered his opponent in the clinch and secured a victory due to inflicting a nasty cut to his opponent. Swapping the big gloves for MMA ones, Letho signed with the promotion Dignity Fighting Championship and picked up a disgustingly fast 15 second KO victory on his debut - finishing his opponent in only three punches. Letho would earn another two first round knockout victories in his next two bouts, and then ending the third after splitting his adversary's face open before his contract with DFC expired. Talent scouts would notice "Viper"'s skills, and the next set of gloves he chose to wore were adorned with the Bushido name and logo. On Bushido 18, Letho would face off against company veteran Arnold Vince, and unfortunately for the Australian, he would find his granite chin ground to dust by the heavy knees of the newcomer. Now Gulet is being given the chance to become world Champion for the first time in his career, and he goes into the fight as the heavy favourite despite being the challenger.

apologies to the main card fighters that will not get a preview this card.

I did the same shit and barely had time to redo it. I barely got the preview for DFCs kickboxing event like 12 hours before the card started. And to add insult to injury when I pm'd the promoter telling him it was up and to send out a mass mail my connection fucked up while I was sending out the email. What the fuck.lol
