  1. KT2: The Journey

Preview & Predictions By Eddie Bravo

We are live!!!DFC returns with more KT action tonight at The Palmtree Arena in the fight capital of the world, Las Vegas. My name is Eddie Bravo and Ill be previewing our 10 action packed KT bouts that Jay Lawrence has graced us with. I was so excited for this one I couldn’t let this event go without a preview so lets get on with it. Brought to you by King of Fists, DFC presents KT2: The Journey.

Our opener of the night brings us two fighters making their DFC debut. Ricardo “Gran Piaco” Pfeifer meets “The Saint” Peel Steel Is Gay to get the card started. These guys are not only both a bit small for the weight class with “The Saint” walking around at 163 pounds and Ricardo at 180 pounds, but they also have skillsets more fit for MMA rather than KT. The blue belt, Pfreifer may have a more complete striking game as he possesses competent Boxing and Muay Thai, but Peel Steel has been in the game a bit longer and already has a win under his belt. Interesting to see how The Saint does under new management, but I think he should be just fine. If I were a betting man, I’d lean more towards Peel Steel Is Gay with the 2nd round TKO.

Next up we’ve got Remo “Roller” Alma taking on Ryan Wesley. Remo is a prodigy of the sweet science. If he continues to stick with KT and put all his focus on Boxing, he could be a lethal weapon in this division. Weighing in at 229 pounds expect “Roller” adopt a stick and move gameplan against the heavier Ryan Wesley. And speaking of prodigy, enter Ryan Wesley weighing in at 280 pounds, standing 200cm tall. You can make the argument that Wesley is just as good as a striker, if not better than Alma. But, of course, such accusations cannot be made until these two have stepped into the KT cage and that’s why I’m so excited for this one. Classic Boxer vs. Kickboxer matchup. Both with wonderful stats, this should be the fight to set the tone for the rest of the night. My guess is as good as anyone’s, but I’m going with Ryan Wesley with a split decision win over Alma.

The third installment on the card features Somchai Paowsong vs Nathan Lightbourne. Paowsong, one of the first 350 fighters of the 300k generation is training out of Las Vegas but coming out of Thailand. That probably explains why Somchai is so damn good at striking. Sporting wonderful Muay Thai, he’s going to need to use all his weapons against the man sporting wonderful Boxing, Nathan Lightbourne. Coming out of the Bahamas Nathan should look to come out countering Somchai’s kicks and clinch attempts with heavy straights and hook checks. How this fight will go is anyone’s guess but if I had a gun to my head I’d probably go with the unorthodox Somchai Paowsong via decision.

Four fights into the card we see Warrawut Kiatjamroom take Aibek Usenov. This should be a fun one. “Thaikoon”, also coming out of Thailand is a respected striker in his own right. Very well rounded out striking game for a young man but the man he’s going up against is a beast in his own right. Aibek Usenov comes into this fight with wonderful Muay Thai and pro experience. Managed by the great Gabe T.S. Gardner, Usenov may already have a loss under his belt, but that loss came on the ground at the hands of dangerous grappler Levi Farkas. No shame in that one, and he wont have to worry about the takedown in this scrap. I expect Aibek Usenov to handle Warrawut fairly easy but this is MMA and you never really know. But my pick stands at Usenov via 1st round TKO(cuts).

And we reach the mid-point of the card, with Alfonzo “The Man” Han vs. Talaenyx “The Goliath” Melnareon. Now is it me or are these names getting way too damn hard to pronounce let alone type. I swear some of these guys are messing with me but all is fair in love and war, I guess. Speaking of war, expect no less from these two hungry prospects of KT. Alfonzo “The Man” steps into the KT cage with remarkable Muay Thai. Born in Djibouti, this man is a natural born killer. I’ve kept a close eye on his Instagram and all I see is him wrestling with tigers and kicking bamboo trees for hours at a time. This man is probably coming in hot as soon as that first bell rings, let’s see how Melnareon reacts. “The Goliath” is one of our bigger fighters on the roster walking around at 300lbs, standing at 225cm tall. The man truly lives up to his name. Managed by the man who has put all of this together, he has the advantage of having one of LOD’s top 3 manager behind him. Coming in with wonderful Boxing, the Oregon native should look to counter Hans aggression and catch him with those bombs for hands. I cant even predict who is gonna come out on top of this one, just know THERE WILL BE BLOOD!!!!

The sixth fight welcomes to newcomers to the game, Miguel “Mike” Jordan vs George “The Doctor” Peterson. This fight will show us if Jordan is truly “Like Mike” in the world of KT. I personally cant see it as his KT skills are subpar as opposed to his wrestling game but I said this in that last preview about both wrestlers and they both won, so I’ll shut the fuck up for now. Jordan weighing in at 265 pounds is probably going to look to throw bombs from the distance and attempt to rule the clinch. How successful will he be is to be determined. Opposed to Miguel, we have George Peterson who favors the Muay Thai aspect of KT. As the heavier man, walking around at 295 pounds, the UK native will probably be comfortable in the clinch if his clinchwork game is correct. If he stays careful and methodical, I think he should be able to wear Jordan down with his size and superior striking. I’ve got Peterson via 1st round KO.

Durka “Jihad” Durka and Bear Hermanson battle it out in our 7th fight of the evening. Durka, managed by Katarina has wonderful Muay Thai has made the move out to Montreal for his first camp. But that move is an expensive one and may have turned out to backfire on him as his former gym has booted him and sent him to his fight without any money. Will all the backround drama have an affect on Durka’s mindset and energy heading into this fight? Time will tell. Standing across from him will be Bear Hermanson, with slightly less standup skills than Durka, I think Bear feels as though he has something to prove in this one. Hermanson has made the weighins looking fresh as a daisy while his opponent looked slightly drawn out. Interesting to see which way this will go with all the intangibles on the table. My guess is Durka coming in like a bat out of hell and going for the first round TKO and actually getting it.

As we approach the tail end of the card, we watch Juraj Janosik bring in his wonderful Boxing skills to battle Tyraemar “The Inferno Man” Bardaerys’ wonderful Muay Thai skills. The 280 pound slugger will no doubt be coming into this one looking to take Tyraemar’s head clean off with those steel hands. I ran into Juraj at the Sin City 11 event and he lifted me off the floor with a handshake. My left hand still hurts as I type this, wincing in pain. Last thing I want is for those same cement filled lunchboxes lunging towards any part of my body. If “The Inferno Man” wants to avoid an early publicized nap, he should be feeling the same way. Another prospect under the management of DFCs own Jay Lawrence should be able to withstand the punishment a little more than the average Joe as he is a pretty big boy himself. In fact, he’s larger than his opponent but still if he can avoid getting hit at all he should, and use those 8 limbs of Muay Thai to do it, if not im afraid it’ll be for the worse. My gut tells me Janosik via 1st round KO.

Now we reach our Co-Main Event of the evening. Catfish “OG” Smith vs Eric “Butter Bean” Esch. The Canadian, OG Smith brings his Muay Thai expertise to the table against the lethal boxer in Esch. Catfish has also had monetary complications with his camp and has been bled dry and sent to his fight without a proper camp backing him. The fight gam is a dirty, dirty business ladies and gentlemen. But fortunately for Smith, he spent his whole camp in Vegas so that rids him of any traveling heartache. OG smith should look at this as a blessing in disguise. He doesn’t have to do anything but rest until his fight and come in fresh as he appeared at the weigh-ins. His opponent, not so much. Eric Esch came in looking a bit depleted. Maybe its too much weight, or making the trip out to Vegas all the way from New York City but he’s gonna want to stay away from the clinch and avoid body shots for dear life. Butter Bean is going to have to come out guns blazing for this one and catch OG with a good one cause the longer this fight plays out, the worse it gets for the Michigan native. I got Catfish Smith via 3rd round TKO.

AND NOW!!! The main event of the night is here, KT Steel Peel faces Arridano “The Frenchmen” Gaillard in the race to KT gold. While this main event is not for the title, both these men will have more eyes on them than ever before and as they are both making their debut, expect some fireworks. KT Steel Penn is massively outsized here, but his rounded out striking game should work in his favor. I see Steel having somewhat of a decent speed advantage in this fight. Also add in the danger of the unknown, Gaillard along with the rest of us, doesn’t really know what kind of attacks Steel Penn is going to come out with. Proficient in both Boxing and MT he could go about this fight a number of ways but since he is the smaller guy, I don’t see him really favoring the clinch. I think he would be fitted best attacking from the distance, chopping at the tree with leg kicks and body kicks until he can deliver the final blow. “The Frenchman” im sure has other plans. Managed by Barry DeJay the 200lb Canadian is going to utilize his MT attacks as well. Probably with a lot more force behind his attacks, I think the clinch game favors Arridano the best and if the fight mainly takes place there, which isn’t too crazy in KT, I expect the Frenchman to grind out a unanimous decision.

Well that’s it for me. Sorry for the late preview guys I have been busier than I ever thought I would be on top of getting sick. I’ll still try to push these out previews out for every KT card though. Don’t be afraid to use Buzz guys, bringing more eyes to the card never hurts. Keep hashtagging and bring it tonight, guys. Y’all represent DFC LV show them what we’re all about guys. This has been Eddie Bravo, thanks for reading!! #10P4L #GonzalezBrothers #DFCKT

  2. DFC KT 1: The Christening

    Date: September 21st, 2016

    Venue: Hayashi’s Lounge

    Event Partner: King of Fists

Greetings everyone! My name is Eddie Bravo, and I’ll be the one doing the previews and reviews for DFC’s 300k KT events. Before we get started, let me tell you guys a little more about myself. My real name is Patrick, living and training under the actual Eddie Bravo at 10th Planet Jiu Jitsu HQ in Downtown LA. I am the mind behind the Gonzalez Brothers, the owner of LOD: Strikezone KT, and have over 120 fights under my management belt. As a freshman in college going for a Journalism major, im doing these write-ups for practice and for fun, so please, I would love to hear any constructive criticism anyone can give me. I love MMA, I love this game, and I love to write so I hope I can provide you guys some awesome content…. AAAND NOOOW!! This is the moment MMA Tycoon fans around the world have been waiting for. The 300ks are finally here and it’s time for the launching of the DFC’s Super-heavyweight KT division. Jay Lawrence’s DFC Las Vegas brings you 10 action packed fights, and im going to do my best to predict these historic matchups, so let’s get started with the first fight of the night.

Jerome “Kansasn” Cornhusker vs. Kevork “The Krushin Russian” Kriesher

Jerome Cornhusker takes on one half of the Kriesher twins, Kevork Kriesher at the foot of this historic event. The Kansas native has spent his camp in Montreal, sporting a Muay Thai backround. Hes much taller than the Russian as well as he is heavier, which may make it difficult for Kevork to escape Jerome’s clinch.

Kevork Kriesher comes into this fight with primarily a boxing backround, Kevork is actually spending his camp in Amsterdam, which a lot of fighters on the card seem to be doing, which may get a little sketchy when it comes time for the post-fight drug test, but judging from Kriesher’s Instagram he has been all business leading up to this fight. He’s gonna need to be sharp if hes going to be able to sedate the “Kansasn’s” versatile Muay Thai attacks. He’s the smaller guy, so he may be the faster fighter, but this is MMA and anything can happen.

Prediction: I feel Cornhusker is going to be too much for Kriesher. (Cornhusker via 2nd round TKO.)

Neal Gamby vs. “Big” Van Richters

Next up Neal Gamby will take on “Big” Van Richters. Gamby is also spending his camp in Montreal. Coming in with wonderful boxing and ties to the Legion of Doom alliance, Neal has a ton of potential. But for this one he’s going to be at an extreme weight disadvantage against the man they call “Big” Van. Neal truly needs to adopt the ol’ stick & move strategy until big man grows tired. If his agility is on point, he can pull off the upset.

“Big” Van Richters comes in at a staggering 300lbs, standing 225cm tall. The Amsterdam native is primarily a Muay Thai fighter but appears to have developed some decent boxing to go along with it. I expect “Big” Van to attack the smaller Neal Gamby with all 8 limbs as he has the wider variety of strikes.

Prediction: Van Richters imposes his size and skills inside round one and overwhelms Gamby early(Van Richters via 1st round KO)

    Shoulder Devil vs. Vitor Blades

For the third fight of the evening, Shoulder Devil fights Vitor Blades. Devil has a slight height disadvantage but has the far superior skillset. Shoulder has respectable boxing and wonderful Muay Thai. Whether he sets up his kicks with his hands, or vice versa, Shoulder Devil should be able to hang where ever the fight goes.

Vitor Blades, born in Greece, trained in Montreal. Vitor is the leaner, taller fighter here. Coming out of JcVd’s management team, Blades is a superb boxer, I expect Blades to stick Devil with his long jab and keep Devil out of the clinch range.

Prediction: I feel Devil’s standup is too well-rounded and should be able to handle whatever offensive attacks Blades has to offer. I believe Shoulder Devil will finish it in the first(Devil via 1st Round TKO)

Freddie “The Beast” Schmall Jr. vs. Kung Lao

In the fourth fight of the evening, we’ve got Freddie “The Beast” Schmall Jr. battling against Switzerland’s Kung Lao. Freddie has a significant size advantage over Lao, weighing at a maximum of 300lbs. The Brit, Schmall comes in with wonderful Muay Thai and decent Boxing. Represented by Jackson Wink, I expect Schmall to fight a smart fight.

Kung Lao is training out of Canada, Kungs skillset nearly mirrors his opponent’s. Kung’s boxing is a notch above Freddie’s while Schmall just edges Lao in the Muay Thai department. I expect Kung Lao to bring the fight to Freddie with extreme aggression and try not to let “The Beast” get into his rhythm.

Prediction: I hate to pick against both of Jc Vd’s guys but I feel like Freddie is better where it counts. I sense a war coming along in this one but on record I gotta go with Schmall via Unanimous Decision.

Mike Ripley vs. Aldolpho “The Wolfman” Fernando

To kick off the main card, we have Mike Ripley taking on Aldolpho “The Wolfman” Fernando. Mike and Aldolpho are virtually identical in the size department. In the skill department, not so much. Mike looks to have potential to be an elite MMA fighter, but he’s got some serious work to do if he’s going to excel in the KT world. Training out of Amsterdam, Mike pretty undeveloped striking skills, but has a good Muay Thai game. Ripley is outskilled here but like I said at the top, this is MMA, anything can happen.

The Cuban, Adolpho Fernando spent his camp in the fight capital of the world, Las Vegas. Fernando comes into this fight with wonderful Boxing. If he can avoid the potential clinch game of Ripley, he should be able to pick his shots and use his accuracy to stay out of trouble.

Prediction: I expect the taller Adolpho Fernando to find that fight ending shot within the opening roung(Fernando via 1st Round KO)

Egek “The African” Mumba vs. Gerald “The Russian Rush” Kriesher

As we go deeper into the card, we witness a battle between two LOD, b prospects. Egek “The African” Mumba will look to handle the other Kriesher brother. Egek, I apologize to you and your manager for my bold prediction and brutal honest, but I honestly don’t see what Mumba’s doing in the KT cage. You could easily be a TWGC legend with your grappling pedigree, but I guess it’s worth a shot, right? Egek Mumba comes in to this fight with virtually no striking backround, but has wonderful wrestling. His wrestling game might help him in the clinch but even that is far-fetched.

Gerald Kriesher, brother of Kevork Kriesher will be debuting alongside his brother but will be spending his camp in the States, Gerald is fighting out of Las Vegas, Nevada. Kriesher is coming into this fight with excellent Muay Thai, with no wrestling. Now, if this were an MMA fight, “The Russian Rush” would be in some serious trouble, but for this one he’s safe from the ground. I expect Kriesher to fake it without much resistance unless “The African” has a couple tricks up his sleeve for us all.

Prediction: Gerald Kriesher ends it quickly and decisively(Kriesher via 1st Round TKO).

“Slick Taint” Rosco Grouch vs. Hipster “The Insurance Policy” Canuck

The next fight on the card will be contested between “Slick Taint” Rosco Grouch and “The Insurance Policy” Hipster Canuck. Now these two have the two most intriguing nicknames I’ve covered so far, but they also have some stellar kickboxing accolades to go with it. Rosco, managed by highly respected manager, Storman Norman, will likely try to use his speed as he is the smaller fighter. Expect a good clinch game as he also sports a decent wrestling backround.

Hipster Canuck is the much larger fighter, born and raised in the same land that produced one of hip-hop’s most recognizable voices in Drake, the Toronto resident presents a slightly better Muay Thai game. Weighing in at 300lbs, I expect Canuck to out-muscle Grouch in the clinch, so I believe he should aim to take the fight there.

Prediction: Although Rosco Grouch has the better overall skillset, Canuck has the better standup and the extra size should help.(Rosco via Unanimous Decision).

    David Mirkovic vs. Benedetto Orsini

As we approach the tail end of the card, we still have one more banger for you guys before our co-main event. The proud Croatian, David Mirkovic will look to take out Benedetto Orsini. These two are literally neck and neck in terms of height, with David getting the slight edge in weight. Based out of Las Vegas, Mirkovic comes in to this fight with world class Boxing. Look for David to go out and impose a boxing clinic.

Benedetto Orsini, born in Italy, based out of The Netherlands, is actually spending his camp for this fight in Montreal. Orsini has an extremely well-rounded game for a young MMA fighter, but for KT, I don’t see him competing at this level right now. He holds no standup advantage, gives up a bit of size, I honestly don’t see this going very well for Orsini but I’ve been wrong before.

Prediction: I expect this fight to draw out for a little while until Orsini gets dropped. I think his heart will allow him to see a second round(Mirkovic via 2nd Round TKO)

    Co-Main Event

Delato Krab vs. “Slick” Dick Doss

In the co-main event of the evening, we have Delato Krab taking on “Slick” Dick Doss. The prospect representing the La Familia alliance is fighting out of Amsterdam. He is another one that has wandered onto the KT scene from Wrestling as he is a wonderful takedown artist in a league without takedowns. Chin down, hands up Delato. Expect a bumpy ride.

“Slick” Dick, unlike his opponent, comes in with a heavy kickboxing pedigree. Fighting out of the now infamous, Stockton CA. Doss will be repping the LOD clan. As the much taller and heavier fighter, I doubt “Slick” Dick Doss will have trouble putting Krab away.

Prediction: “Slick” Dick has his way with Krab(Doss via 1st Round TKO)

    Main Event

Benson McGregor vs. Francisco “Kyokushin” Neto

And we have finally arrived at our Main Event of the evening! In the red corner we have Benson McGregor squaring off against “Kyokushin” Francisco Neto. McGregor is particularly short for the weight class but really heavy. I’ve never seen him throw a punch, but I’m sure he’s packing some serious power in those hands. Managed by Shane Johnson, the LOD product comes into this fight with a wonderful boxing backround. Let’s see if he’s able to catch the leaner Francisco with a good one.

Francisco “Kyokushin” Neto is also sporting Olympic level boxing. But as he is the taller and leaner fighter, I expect the Brazilian, Neto to try and impose a sharp counter game and pick at Benson until he can no longer make the count.

Prediction: Benson McGregor via flash KO upset win, topping off another stacked card brought to you by DFC Las Vegas.

Hope y’all enjoyed the preview guys! PEACE IM OUT!! #10P4L

Before I go on with the review, I would like to apologize to Don Julio Cesar Chavez. In my review for Revolution XC 4, I implied that Chavez might be actively avoiding a fight with Peter Potter. This was stupid on my part. I hate it when media outlets try to twist the facts to make a story that gets more internet traffic, and I should have been a more honest reviewer, and I should have done more research into what was going on.

MMA is a brutal sport, and it requires a certain level of bravery in order to get into a cage with another grown man, or woman I dont judge, who wants to hurt you in order to make money.

Fighters deserve more respect than they seem to get, and I'm going to try to provide fair and balanced reviews from now on to show my respect. Whether youre 100-0 or 0-100, Mixed Martial Artists are the toughest people in sports, you got to give credit to people who are willing to have an occupation where they are guaranteed to be hurt.

Enough of me though, lets get on to the event, which took place in front of 13,381 people who got to witness 3 title fights, including Don Julio Cesar Chavez looking to go 2-0 over former champ Peter Potter, Dominate Light-Heavyweight Champion Kaleva Vettenranta taking on Gleb Zheglov, and perhaps most anticipated (and unexpected), Nate Gonzalez, representing Compton and all alterations of the F-word, taking on Elvis the Fighter himself, Hop Sing Jung.

Is that it, HELL NO! Weve got Heavyweight Champion Papa Shango going up to Super-Heavyweight for a super fight with Alfonso Cabral, and a #1 Contenders fight between Ukko Metso and Andy Fitzgerald in the Middleweight division. Without further ado, lets get to the windpipe crushing, strike central highlights, and comeback kid moments that can only be found in Revolution XC!

    Kaedo Neal vs Jerry Smith

    Middleweight MMA Action

Kaedo Neal is under the same management team as the Gonzalez brothers and Kid Kudi, a great, if controversial group of friends to have. However, at only 18 years old and now 5-0 after an impressive second round TKO, Neal is a prospect on the rise, and might be a headlining act sooner than later. As for Smith, he did alright, landing more strikes even getting a couple of takedowns against Neal. However, Kaedo hit harder and when it mattered, finishing Smith off in the second round. The Australian falls to 1-1.

    Konor McGregor vs Igz Kincaid

    Welterweight MMA Action

Dang, this is why its not not a good idea to go to the ground with a brown belt in BJJ. A McGregor takedown was followed up soon afterwards with a beautiful armbar by Kincaid, who is 3-0 in his career so far. McGregor goes back to the drawing board with a record of 2-2, essentially being on the .500 mark.

    Blue Kandle vs Vito Scaletta

    Welterweight MMA Action

After a fight of the night victory against Count Foo, Scaletta continued his winning ways with a first round TKO of Blue in the first round with only 4 seconds left on the clock. Scaletta dominated in both the clinch and in the stand up, as he battered his wax inspired (even Im not sure what I just typed), opponent with strikes until he could take no more. Scaletta is now 7-1, an impressive record, while Kandle suffers his first loss after going 4-0 in his previous fights.

    Fernando Ruiz vs Katsu Kazuhiro

    Welterweight MMA Action

Katsu Kazuhiro is apparently a descendant of an actual samurai family. I wont front, thats pretty badass. Too bad it didnt help him in this fight. Other than some minor clinch work, this was all stand up for the whole 1:37. It ended with a brutal uppercut from Ruiz that separated Katsi from his conscience and dropped him to 5-3. Fernando is now 8-2 and the Rio de Janeiro native seemed comfortable in his RXC debut.

    Pyry Kontio vs Walton Kunz

    Featherweight MMA Action

This ended up being a lot closer than I expected. While Kontio ultimately ended up victorious, Kunz had a competitive first round in which he actually reversed position and got on top of Kontio. However, Finlands Favorite Featherweight (Thats my personal nickname for him shut up) brought the hammer into round two with dominant ground and pound. Kunzs record in now 9-7 while Pyry earned another chance at the Featherweight championship. His record sits at 13-5 after a two fight losing streak.

    Kavela Vettenranta vs Gleb Zheglov

    Light-Heavyweight Championship Fight

Vettenranta might be the most dominant champion in our entire organization. Hes got the skills to pay the bills in a division that cant seem to keep up. He savaged Zheglov, who fought and lost to Ukko Metso in a middleweight fight previously, with a takedown and a Kimura that forced a tap out in 1:38 of round 1. Zheglov, now 12-4, will stay at Light-Heavyweight for a little while longer while Kavela, who sits at 14-4, awaits his next defense. One can hope the next person he fights will put up at least a bit of a struggle.

Nate Gonzalez vs Hop Sing Jung

    Lightweight Championship Fight

Oh let the controversy begin. The highly anticipated Championship encounter ended in a questionable decision in favor of Jung. The clinch was where Jung seemed most comfortable, as he held up Gonzalez up close several times. However, Gonzalez landed significantly more strikes and even got a takedown. However, Jung, now 18-7 won via unanimous decision, getting scorecards of 48-47 and 2 50-45 scorecards. Thank God these two are having a rematch soon, because Gonzalez, who is 11-4, needs a shot at redemption.

    Ukko Metso vs Andy Fitzgerald

    Middleweight MMA Action

Dang, what a fight and what a beatdown from Fitzgerald. Andy earned a title shot in dominant way by beating down Metso in near perfect fashion. And when I say perfect, I mean he only missed 1 combo. Everything else was a homerun shot and the fact that Metso managed to go into a third round is quite impressive. He didnt last long, as the finish came 5 seconds into round 3 after dropping Ukko with a left hook and follow up ground and pound. Metso, after 2 straight wins, is now 14-4. Fitzgerald will be looking for revenge against current champion Rocco Antonio Saffredi, and hell be bringing a 12-3 record into their third encounter.

    Papa Shango vs Alfonso Cabral

    Super-Heavyweight Super Fight

Thats right folks, we got a superfight on our hands, as heavyweight champion took on Alfonso Cabral in the co-main event of the evening. Cabral would make the master of the Shango Tango regret his decision within a round. He dominated the clinch game and punched Shango until he ultimately wilted under the pressure, bringing his record to 20-3. Shango didnt lose his belt, but his record is now 13-4.

Don Julio Cesar Chavez vs Peter Potter

    Welterweight Title Fight

40 seconds. That was the time it took for Chavez to pull guard, lock in a triangle, and force the former champ Potter to tap out. 40 seconds. Honestly Im still in shock. I expected a close, back and forth fight, but Chavez showed his championship savvy and proved that his position as one of the best in the world. Don Julios record now sits at 13-4, while Potter will look to rebound from this loss and improve his 15-4 record. Still in shock from this.

    Post Fight Bonuses

Fight of the Night- Andy Fitzgerald vs Ukko Metso

This wasnt really a typical fight of the night. Most would hear that and think of two dudes whaling on each other and not worrying about damage. In this case, Fitzgerald wailed on Metso while not being concerned with the damage he was causing. Props to Ukko for remaining standing, but this was all Andy.

    Knockout of the Night-Vito Scaletta

I got a good feeling with this Scaletta kid. Hes 2-0 in RXC and 2-0 with post fight bonuses. Both indicate that Vito has the potential to be a major player in this sport. His extinguishing of the previously undefeated Blue Kandle is an additional good sign.

Submission of the Night-Don Julio Cesar Chavez

40 seconds. Im still lost on that. Chavez proved to be a true champion with a first round triangle choke submission over former champion Peter Potter in the main event of the night.

    Conclusion

RXC might not have sold out University Park, but 13,381 attendance aint nothing to sneeze at. There were surprise finishes, controversial outcomes, and a look into the future of the sport. If you enjoyed King of Smack, then youll look forward to RXC 6, where Issumater Tariaksuq will defend his featherweight championship against Pyry Kontio and in the Main event (as of this writing time) Hop Sing Jung will defend the Lightweight championship against the man he just beat for the title in Nate Gonzalez. I cant wait for that fight, and a week (or however long a week in MMA Tycoon time is) has never felt so long.

  4. Revolution XC 2

    http://www.mmatycoon.com/images/posters/1469673161rev2.png

Taking place in a Sold Out King Theatre, Revolution XC 2 delivered nine fights in total, including three Title Fights, three KOs, three Submissions, and three Decisions.

All three title fights ended in finishes. Without further ado, Let's get into the bone breaking, head crushing, and punch whiffing action of Revolution XC 2.

Fight #1 DWayne Williams vs Jake Blake

At only 19 years old and now 2-0, DWayne Williams has wonderful Muay Thai and proficient wrestling, and he could be one to watch as he progresses in his Lightweight mixed martial arts career.

He had issues with Blake, as he gave up 4 out of 14 takedowns and missed over 60 punches.

However, he landed enough to win a clear unanimous decision, dropping Jake to 3-4.

Fight #2 Vito Scaletta vs Count Foo

The best word to describe this fight was insane. From even before both guys were in the cage, Scaletta was assaulted by an insane fan.

Thankfully he was okay, and proceeded to have one of the craziest fights I had seen in a long, long while. This welterweight fight was entirely standup driven, as these two threw caution to the wind and stood and banged.

Ultimately, It was Vito, with more punches and some leg kicks, who would improve his record to 6-1 with a clear decision win over Count Foo.

Even though his record now sits at 5-3, Foo definitely won a lot of respect with his performance.

Fight #3 Michael Campion vs Jean Claude Jaques Guesteau

Dang that was a mouthful. Even so, J.C.J.G. would end up being the first finished participant of the night, as he fell to a first round kimura to the now 7-3 Campion.

The now 3-4 heavyweight will be looking to go .500 in his next fight, and who knows, maybe hell have a record as impressive as his name?

Fight #4 Zui Quan Tso vs Ben Jones

Another Heavyweight bout, another first round finish. Tso would end Jones night in 50 seconds with a big punch and brutal hammerfists.

Now 10-4, Zui Quan Tso promoted Leviathan Clothing despite trouble putting the shirt on. Jones record now sits at 5-2, though at 25 he does have time to pull off a decent career.

Fight #5 Jake Belcher vs Nikolay Luzkhin

After getting KOd by a cocaine infused Rick James at Revolution XC 1, Belcher came back with a vengeance, giving Luzkhin the first defeat in his career with some vicious ground and pound.

It was all Belcher when they hit the mat, as he hit Nikolay with strike after strike and never let up until the ref stopped the action with3 seconds left in round 1.

Nikolay is only 19 and will have plenty of time to improve his 4-1 record. As for Belcher, he can rest easy having increased his record to 11-5, with all of his wins coming via (T)KO.

Fight #6 Predator Burns vs Issumater Tariaksuq

After beating Cutting Walter Kunz into defeat, Issumater couldnt get any momentum, as he was dominated in a grapple-heavy encounter with Burns.

All judges scored the fight 30-26, and now Issumaters record falls to 10-4.

Predator Burns was intent to pressure his opponent, as he took Tariaksuq down multiple times and manage to get the clinch quite a few times, but he barely did anything other than hold on tight.

It was enough, however, as he increased his record to 16-7.

    Fight #7 Light-Heavyweight Championship

    Kyle Long vs Kaleva Vettenranta

The first of three Title fights ended in dominant fashion, as Vettenranta would get his revenge against the man who took the belt away from him in the first place. He won the title, and improved to 12-4, with a sick Guillotine choke in the first round.

Long had no answers for Vettenrantas ground game, as he got taken down and pounded for a majority of the contest before getting his head almost popped with a guillotine. The former champion now sits at 12-6.

    Fight #8 Lightweight Championship

    Royal Pain vs Royce Disgracie

In his second title defence, Pain would put the hurt on Royce and submit him with a Rear Naked Choke a mere 2 seconds before the first round ended.

Pain was getting struck multiple times throughout the fight, but the moment this went to the ground, he would do his damndest to make Disgracie submit. He would succeed, and move his record to 11-2 while defending his Championship. Royce, now 10-3, was humble in defeat.

    Fight #9 Featherweight Championship

Alexander Vermeer vs Martin Luther King Jr.

I dont know whether King is actually the late civil rights leader or just some loon who thinks hes the late civil rights leader, but the late stoppage by the ref didnt help him mentally in any way possible.

Either way, the story of this fight was Vermeer proving to be a dominant first Featherweight Champion for Revolution XC.

He would stand toe to toe with MLK, but it was the clinch where he dominated the most, as cracked King with punches to the face and body 60 times before finishing him with a big uppercut.

King was a non factor throughout the two rounds he fought, as he missed more then he hit and didnt succeed in any of his 4 takedown attempts, making it no surprise that he stands at 9-3. Congratulations to Vermeer, who now stands at 15-3-1 and 1 nc.

    Post Fight Bonuses

Fight of the Fight- Vito Scaletta vs Count Foo.

This fight was intense even before the cage door closed, as Scaletta was almost (T)KOed by a deranged fan. He would survive that and 3 action packed rounds with Foo to win a Unanimous Decision.

KO of the Night- Alexander Vermeer

Although it was a late stoppage, Vermeers domination of MLK Jr shouldnt be taken away from. His uppercut that separated King from his conscious was one one the best of the year, and goes to show you that crazy will only get you so far.

Submission of the Night- Royal Pain

Dont Call it a comeback, even though it technically was. Pain was getting pelted by Royce Disgracies striking until he got the fight to the ground and choked him out with a Rear Naked Choke.

    Conclusion

A really balanced show, not as good as Revolution XC 1 but it had its moments. Most impressive was that all three Championship fights didnt even go to the Championship rounds. A second successful show, and hopefully there will be more to follow.

    Roco Milstown

great job guys. Loving the previews and reviews keep up the good work it makes the game a lot more fun!

  5. Your like 59th ranked P4P on the Island buddy. Lobtov is #5. You fight cans, take a hike and earn your fights with the best.

I've never declined a fight on the island either, Lobtov just kicked Fletcher's ass and your mad. You lie to get attention.

"I'm ranked 40th about to fight the 5th ranked LW on the Island. Reason I'm not ranked higher is cause I couldn't get fights with dorks like Lobtov cause yall were to scared to lose your hype to someone who can beat yo ass. Just cause you didn't decline a contract don't mean you didn't duck me. You pussies know the truth quit fuckin lying. Its still on Buzz if you lyin ass bums wanna check"-Gonzalez

  6.

Who is this bum? Has to search him to find his irrelevant ass. Your opponents records overall is 12-19, so..... And Lobtov was in a different division than you in Island FC and I didn't hear a peep from you when Lobtov was Champion. Now you call me out knowing we can't fight. Stop lying, you keep padding your record. You're gonna lose your band new belt anyways your next fight, so back of the line for you no name.

You didn't do much to put Lobtov in a grave, you didn't land one strike. The Champion Reigns.

Vermeer, punk, where you at, step up at make a superfight, don't duck me like you did Hop Sing Jung just two weeks ago. The fans want this fight.

"Quit fuckin lying. I called him out and asked JJ to put me in back in IFC then I was more vocal about it on HI when your pussy ass fighter refused to sign the fight contract against Fletcher for like two weeks straight. I called that bum out over Buzz AND the forum. Both yall just sat there looking quiet and not one reply till now? Your BUMS!!! FUCK OUTTA HERE. Let Lobtov sign with IslandCombat and get worked infront of the whole island if yo bitchasses so confident "-Nate Gonzalez

  7.

    Smells like pussy to me

    Dont be scared hommie lol

you cant just leave, a few days after you sign contracts with big signing fees

just because i turn down your job application

then bad rate all hes fighter contracts with us

this is not a kinder garden

    doesnt work like that

Your fighters now will remain here, until the contracts run out if necessary

again i would never stop someone from leaving if they give me pretty reasonable grounds to do so

We are a serious organization and whoever is here is in good hands

We never pressured you to sign, in fact you were the one aproching us after already have turned our offer dow before...

Right now i will go beast mode on you

    3options

1-Man up do your fights and leave at the end of your contract, prove your point by gaining hype in here and leaving with it(the only way you could actualy get me upset to be honest)

2-Give me back my signing fees plus 10k for each fighter, for time and damage taking by this all situation and i will release them

3-I can leave them here rooting until the contract is up :) is not like our survival depends on your fighters, thankfully we have some real badass managers and fighters with us so we will be fine sir

the quicker you fight the quicker you get them free

  8. JJ is the best promoteur in the island by a country mile, and he is a big part of LKO establishment....regarding your fighters,pm us whenever you ready contract will be unrivaled and ready to sign.....as i said before , we do praise (Parental Advisory Lyrics) smalk talk(no forbiden words thoe lol), we belive its part of prize fighting and we belive it makes it more realistic and enjoyable for everyone...so smalk-talkers or hype builders are well looked after...specialy if they have the fighting skills to back it up ....#GonzalezBrothers & #LKO #thefuture

Hahah you know it buddy. Nate loves the shit talk part of the game I'm sure if he signs with yall itll be live on the forums and on Buzz. I got another promoter hitting me up for a contract but hes also the manager of one of Bates most notorious rivalries, Justin Credible. His fighters Greg McConor and Chance Bennett had it out for the #GonzalezBrothers but I'm sure you and JJ both already know, they didn't have shit for Nate Gonzalez, and neiher will any of these other lightweights. ESPECIALLY Conor The Notorious. That's right buddy we comin for you Bremner!!

  9. Add the division, let us BUY a few more fighter slots, everyone's happy. WMMA is popular and seems to be growing in popularity. I know I'd have several WMMA fighters on my roster if I could.

Same. I wouldn't mind the female div.

  10. I already have had two interviews done for Nate Gonzalez, but Nick is about to fight in a superfight representing #LumpineeKT vs #Generation and i need to get him an fighter profile interview for Tycoon Times. Base will start at 150k but i am willing to go higher depending on the quality of the write up and as owner as one of the most successful and profitable gyms in LV i am a BIG tipper for pros. DM me at Eddie Bravo if you are interested :)

  11. Interview with Nate Cholo Gangsta Gonzalez, lightweight champion of Island Combat.

    by Jared Martin

    http://www.mmatycoon.com/gallery/33/33w8.jpgNate "Cholo Gangsta" Gonzalez

1st question: Before we start, tell us about yourself?

Well ya already know that Im coming straight out of Compton if you will haha born and raised. Fought a bunch of amateur fights won some and lost some. But I gained a little something from each fight ya know. So when it was time to make my pro debut on #TheIsland I had like a vet feel to myself right off the bat. Shit was clicking, and I picked up a nice winning streak real quick. Its not just my skills thats winnin, its my experience in fighting and in life I learned a lot of shit.

2nd question: You have gained a huge following, how does that affect you?

Haha yeah man Im feelin the love and its much appreciated . Kinda came out of nowhere cuz when I first started out I was blowing up Buzz callin out everybodyyyyy tyrna to get a fight with a promotion. And I got a lot of backlash. A lot of haters. And plus my older brother Nick he is active asf on Buzz so a lot we got involved in the same Buzz wars. Some guys hate it. Some love it. Idk what happened but know it seems mostly positive compared to a couple weeks ago when I was getting a bunch of haters.

But to answer your question I guess its pretty cool ya know. Its nice to see positive shit on my Buzz instead Connor Ruttenems bitch as blowing my shit up even though hes not in the same division, or that notorious motherfucker, dont get me wrong Nate is still there, but Im getting a lot of love its coll. Haha

3rd question: Whats your workout routine? Have any tips for new fighters?

My routine obviously is a lot of fuckin cardio. You gotta be up to fight five hard rounds even if you are a finisher, and thats exactly what happened to me in my last fight. You can be the best fighter in the world but if you gas in the middle of 3rd, you might as well be a slow ass moving punching bag in there so avoid that shit at all cost. Work your standup and BJJ you dont wanna be 1-dimesinal cuz

If you are you will run into the other dimension. And that shit gonna suck

Any tips for new fighters?? I guess Id just tell all you youngins to do your thang and dont let anybody tell you shit. Just do you. My first big money fight was against Greg McConor and only I got that fight cuz I started talking shit at him on Buzz, and that fight for attention, and I eventually got the win. He might have been better at me at the time, but I didnt back down. Id tell yall not to be a quiet fighter and not to back down from a challenge because you never know

4th question: Your last fight u defeated Richard Machan, with a unanimous decision. Have anything to say about the fight?

Yeah I dont like talking shit about my opponents after the fact ya know. Win or lose. Hes a tough motherfucker and hes got some serious ground skills, it aint easy to keep me on the ground and not fuck around and get your shit snapped, but that wasnt my favorite style of fighting. I always fight for the eventual finish and I dont feel he did that. But ya know he did what he had to do. Fucked up thing for him it wasnt enough to get thru me, but Im fuckin sure he will be back.

5th question: Who would u like to fight next?

Well Im going to fight this Pyro motherfucker who is for some reason ranked above me. So after I fuck his ass up.. I dont know who I wanna fight. I wanted to fight that Lobtov motherfucker but he ducked me like a fuckin bullet. I guess I wanna fight Peter Potter at 170 after this, come back down and fuck that Russian dork up in a superfight of course at #IslandCombat. Im not leaving for any fight in her to do big things and end up at HOF. The Islands gonna remember the #GonzalezBrothers

Anything to say before we conclude this interview?

I just wanna say this Island has been a fucking ride man. First, I want to thank the man responsible for me being here today, my big brother Nick Gonzalez. He gave me my 1st boxing lesson and hell always be the main reason for my success. Thanks to my sponsors, thanks to JJ for always running an sick org and keeping this shit going till the end. And most of all thanks to the fans you have been fuckin dope. Imma going to keep this going, dont know where Ill be after, but the #GonzalezBrothers are here to stay

Thank you, Nate Gonzalez, for being here. It was a pleasure talking to you.

    Jared Martin

    Thanks for the interview man
