Pretty sure Mike nerfed it, it was a great fast way to build up fighters hype and all that jazz but like always guys complained until it got shut down.  I dont know for sure but if it was to be tried it would be good for being active and such but there would be no benefit to the fighter or Org as far as gains go.  If I am wrong I apologize, please correct me.

Yeah, now that I’ve read that it does ring a bell. In all honesty I was looking for something to keep me interested for a long time to come. Running an org done that for me and once I moved on from that it was never really the same so in returning I need a project of sorts beyond training and fighting my own stable.

Making money and taking an org up the rankings wouldn’t be the primary reason for doing it. Just the enjoyment of doing it again would be enough. If it purely breaks even, gets me matchmaking again and offers something to the community then I’d be happy.

So if people want or need some sort of QFC style org, even if it’s just something that’s a bit of fun with one or two of their fighter slots then I’d be happy to do something. If however, there just isn’t enough interest then cool, I’ll look at other possibilities. Like I say, I’ve been missing for a while so don’t really know what is wanted/needed.

I think some iteration of what you suggest would be interesting but ultimately I don't know if there is enough of a player base to make it worth your while. Not compared to the relatively quick and simple fix of making QFC global. The other good thing about QFC is that is managers can't decline fights like little pussies. I feel that the types of people you'd get signing up to the org would be some of the worst for declining fights.

Would love to see you give it a try but mainly it would just be great to have an OG manager back in the game full time. Perhaps see CEC rise from the ashes in some way

To be honest, I’ve been looking at a way back into the game after a long time away. I’m pretty sure if I come back with just my own fighters I’m likely to fall away again quite easily but if I had something to keep me busy then I know I would commit to it. I wouldn’t have lasted as long as I did before without CEC to keep me busy.

I recall wait times for QFC being quite annoying before I left and when I read through this thread it seemed it hadn’t improved in any way so thought if there was something I could do then why not. Obviously if there isn’t much interest or need then I’ll look at other options but I’m keen to get involved with something again.

  3. I’ve not been around for a while so I’m not fully up to speed on what’s been happening in the tycoon world lately so forgive me if this has been brought up and dismissed as a bad idea already.

So years ago we had a user run QFC org. I didn’t partake in it but I always liked the idea of someone doing something a bit different. I know at various points other org owners had suggested it for vacant divisions they had going but I’m not sure of its success when tried out. Without getting too bogged down in details, do you all think there would be enough interest to create an org to facilitate QFC style fights? My immediate thoughts are that it automatically tackles the problem people have pointed out here of 2 guys in the same division but in different cities not getting matched up. I know there could be a lot of details to iron out but could something like this be helpful and are there enough managers and fighters to utilise it?

I’m pretty sure the org I am talking about ran it as no fighter training with regular fights which I had always thought of trying out when I had considered getting back into the org game. I’m not sure however what happened to it. Did it just run its course or were there problems with the concept? Anyway, it could be run that way or purely for guys who will want one off fights. I’d be interested in chatting about this with some of you and if it is something that would be of benefit and worthwhile then I’d be happy in running such a thing as part of my return to this life.

  4. Note: You need to have at least 1 fight in the parent org to be considered a fighter of that org, this is to stop some people from "loaning" fighters for super fights.

Chris Steve fought in CEC in the $10 million invitational. While this was a one off fight as he lost in the opening round, he technically does have 1 fight in his now parent org. I guess just to clarify on the rules, would this not count?

  5. Yeah as much of a pain as it may seem, releasing from one org and offering a contract from the other is the way to do it. Keep managers in the loop and it should be fine. You may lose a few fighters if other orgs see them as free agents but as long as you act quickly and offer deals as soon as they are released then the impact should be minimal.

  6. Sooooo yeahhhh I just tried to buy supplements and all stores are pretty empty except for Dark Knight that has only energy :(

Looking at the 7 day sales it does not look like the stores restocked much :(

Due to that extra 50 I ordered on the 30th I can’t order more until tomorrow when that batch arrives. So it will be the 6th before I get a decent amount in.

  7. I’ve been inactive for a little over a week due to moving home but having received a pm from Camara I decided to head over to see what the deal was. Having read through the thread it appears everything has been figured out. I do have 50 I can order just now due to a 500 week from 2 weeks ago but will be able to order my full quota again from the 1st.

What I’ll do is stagger my orders over the next 4 weeks so we don’t run out at the beginning of the month if that helps? We may see some panic buying which is only natural, not everyone visits the forums so there could easily be the worry that they need to buy quick or lose out. Obviously if I need to alter that plan to get more product available to the community then I’m all for that. Whatever helps really. I’m also more than happy to provide freebies, lower prices for the month or anything else that helps.

  8. Just an idea, but what about one org that is specifically for the olympics and does not run any other events during the year?

I would be willing to do that with NY Fight Nights.

I could change the name, logos etc to new 'olympics'-graphics and make it the home of the MMA Tycoon Olympics.

Any possible profit could be handed out after the Olympics to the noob fund for example, as I have no interest in making any money from it.

Seems an ideal scenario. Won’t be messing with those pesky diminishing returns for holding too many events in a week for a long term org. Someone not looking to profit from it in regard to money, hype etc.

I guess you could run 4 cards on the Monday, 2 divisions per card, 8 fights on each. Semi finals on the Wednesday could be 2 cards, 4 divisions per card, again would be 8 fights on each. Then on Friday 2 cards, all the finals on one card and all the 3rd/4th place fights on the other. Or something along those lines or whatever.

  9. The problem with hosting it in an existing org such as GAMMA is going to be the layout that you are looking at. Getting it over and done with in the week and going for the Monday, Wednesday, Friday cards has a number of issues attached to it. Is it all 8 divisions that will be having it’s own Olympic bracket? If so that would be 32 quarter final fights to organise which is a minimum of 4 events. Also, having extra events in the week would mess with his numbers which I’m guessing he wouldn’t want to do. I’m sure there are ways around these things but I’m also sure they would be a bit of a headache for folk. I can’t speak for anyone obviously but I’m just throwing out there the things that would have put me off.

  10. I actually do residential plumbing, and maintenance so I could pimp myself out for you guys except your probably scattered all over the World... I know Mike is in England and that's pretty much right out. LOL

Scotland mate. So yeah scattered a bit.

I’m a joiner to trade. More of a hobby now than anything but it is why I do the majority of stuff myself. Years of working with builders and sparkies has allowed me to pick up other skills so means I can save some cash but never have any free time haha!

  11. Uhh remodeling or is this all new Construction? What a migraine I just bought a 4000 Sq ft home, a fixer upper myself and I probably got 5 plus years of work to put into it.

I don’t think my place will ever be finished. Been in it for 4-5 years now and every time I finish something the good lady decides to give me another task. Fortunately it takes her a while to decide on how she actually wants it to look so I do get a break in between. I think I created the problem myself as she was so impressed with what was achieved with the bathroom that the rest of our home looked... well... a bit shit really! Everyday I come home I expect to be told something needs done/redone but she’s a good sort so I can’t complain too much.
