Perfect number of entrants would be 16. But if I have to roll with 4 guys, the show will still go on. -This will be a single elimination creation tournament. - All fighters created on the same day, 18 years, at LHW (Will switch divisions each tourney) - Only one entry allowed per manager, but Since these guys could go on to be mma fighters/projects, managers are allowed to create more than one fighter after creation date to test hiddens etc. They must submit the name of their entrant by the lock in date. - First round will begin 3-4 weeks after fighter creation. Figured I'd give guys time to maybe get some cts in (your not limited to ct training). Seems like it would be boring otherwise. - There will be two weeks between each round. - Contracts will be 1500 across the board. All fights will take place under Queensbury Rules -No Dirty Boxing allowed -No Kicks, Elbows, Knees allowed Sliders need to be set to the following to insure a clean fight -100% Follow Orders - 100% Punch - 100% Stay on the Outside - 100% Counter Strike (This isn't the Aggressive vs Counter slider, But the Counter Strike vs Counter Grapple slider) - 100% Muay Thai (Clinch) - 100% Stall (Clinch) - 100% Control (Clinch) - 100% Break Clinch (Clinch) This way we reduce the risk of screwing up the boxing match. If a clinch does happen, this should help both fighters in taking little to no damage. If any of the rules are broken, offending fighter is at risk of losing the fight (depending on severity), being suspended and/or having his license revoked by the Tycoon Boxing Commission. Matches 3 Rounds, 3 Minutes Each for all non-Semi Finals and Finals Matches 5 Rounds, 3 Minutes Each for Semi Finals and Finals Matches In the event of a draw, the Tycoon Boxing Commission will decide the winner. 2. *Video posted to Cedric Murphy's twitter* "On 7/20/13, Tycoon saw the final match of the first Golden Gloves tournament. Two men who had proven themselves to be every bit of unstoppable stepped into the ring and let it go for 5 rounds." *The pre-fight commentary* "Coming into this, I've got goosebumps! We have two young kids here, fresh faces making their fighting debut in this tournament. Murphy has won every round he's fought so far but he's been unable to finish any of his opponents. He's fast and he's in and out before you can touch him... But Vasquez is another beast all together! This guy hasn't let a single opponent walk out of the ring without the help of our medical staff. When he hits you, you go down, and that's how it is! I can't wait to see how this plays out!" [THE HIGHLIGHTS] "Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 5 rounds, in the light heavyweight division. Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner. With a record of 3 wins, 0 losses and 0 draws, fighting out of Los Angeles, Abel Vasquez!" -------------------------------------------------------------------------------------- Murphy throws a right hand that misses and Vasquez counters with a crisp hook to the side of the head. Murphy works the jab nicely. The crowd cheers as Murphy lands an impressive looking overhand right. Vasquez doesn't seem phased though, -------------------------------------------------------------------------------------- Murphy throws an off balance right hand and Murphy takes a counter punch right on the button for his troubles. -------------------------------------------------------------------------------------- "He hits like a toddler, if we were scoring off damage, I would have had my hand raised. But that's judges for you..." - Abel Vasquez -------------------------------------------------------------------------------------- Vasquez feints a straight left to the body, then turns around with a flashy move and hits Murphy's jaw with a dramatic spinning back fist! -------------------------------------------------------------------------------------- Murphy catches Vasquez with a nice straight right. He seems pissed - ooooh, it's on now! On like donkey kong! http://www.mmatycoon.com/images/fight/knockdown.gif Murphy ducks into a a hook from Vasquez and goes down! He looks in a bit of a mess; will he beat the count?! 4,5,6,7,8 - he's up and looking to carry on! The referee looks into his eyes and sees that he's OK to continue! -------------------------------------------------------------------------------------- And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner. With a record of 3 wins, 0 losses and 0 draws, fighting out of New York, Cedric Murphy! -------------------------------------------------------------------------------------- A shot to the body from Vasquez misses and Murphy counters with a straight punch to the midsection. Nice work. -------------------------------------------------------------------------------------- Vasquez throws a looping overhand right but Murphy ducks down to avoid it. A left and a right from Murphy both land. Nice combination. -------------------------------------------------------------------------------------- Murphy bobs and weaves well there to avoid the strikes. Murphy scores with a nice one two combo and darts back out of range to avoid anything coming in the opposite direction. -------------------------------------------------------------------------------------- "The real winner that night was the fans... But I think we were all surprised by the judges decision." - Mitchy Mclintock (fight commentator) -------------------------------------------------------------------------------------- Vasquez moves his head to the side to avoid a jab but walks straight into a cross. http://www.mmatycoon.com/images/fight/cut2.gif It looks like Abel Vasquez has been cut. Vasquez takes a swing at Murphy's ribcage but misses. Vasquez takes an uppercut right on the button but keeps his composure. Murphy misses with a hook and Vasquez connects with a straight left hand counter down the middle. http://www.mmatycoon.com/images/fight/cut.gif It looks like Cedric Murphy has been cut. -------------------------------------------------------------------------------------- Ladies and gentlemen, after 5 rounds of action, we go to the scorecards for a decision. Judge Bruno Lombardi scores the fight 47:47 Judge Russell Pearce scores the fight 47:48 Judge Jorge Garcia scores the fight 47:47 The fight is ruled a majority draw! But as per the specified rules of the tournament, the fight goes to Cedric Murphy! *the crowd erupts and boos Murphy and the judges* -------------------------------------------------------------------------------------- "Congratulations to Cedric Murphy and Bobby Fossil on winning the tournament. Heart breaker for me!" - Ethan Downs "This isn't finished, now it's a matter of pride. I know Murphy wants to prove he can beat this guy fair and square... We'll celebrate tonight, and we'll figure out what he wants to do with his career in the morning." - Bobby Fossil "Well shit, the finals was a draw..." - Ezekel Rage -------------------------------------------------------------------------------------- *cut to Cedric Murphy in the gym* "Hey guys, Cedric here, if you're wondering why I'm posting this, it's because I've got a little unfinished business and I don't feel like I can move forward until it's squashed. So Vasquez, look at this! *Cedric holds up a wad of cash, keeping his middle finger up so it looks like he may be flipping off the camera* This is 25k that I'm willing to put down on a rematch, winner take all. Are you there? Can you see me? Does it make you want to punch me in the face? Then crack your piggy bank and meet me in the ring! And Zeke if you're watching this, and Abel accepts, I'd love it if PFL could host the match here in NY. That's it, I'm out. I'll wait for your responses."
