  1. Thanks to Callum McGregor for the video! Very rarely we would seen in the world of MMA Tycoon a fighter breakout and become a star towards the end of their career but one fighter who is doing just that is 35 year old MMA Helsinki Hall of Famer Leroy Morris (23-13). Leroy Morris has been quite vocal in recent times and being eager to prove himself as one of the best Featherweight fighters in the world he not so long ago called out the legendary fighter Clint Lomax (63-20-4). Clint Lomax wasn't to be the only legendary fighter who wanted a piece of the action: Sadly for all the Martel fans out there, Charles Martel (57-26-2) didn't come close to winning EPL, picking up only 2 wins out of the 10 EPL fights. On the other hand, Leroy Morris had his hand raised at the end of his gruelling 3 round fight with Clint Lomax, with many now calling for the former great to hang up his gloves after adding another loss to his MMA record. With no fight on the horizon, Leroy Morris may well have been the fighter who "broke" Clint Lomax and Leroy certainly believes that's the case. "Of course I broke him, I see him at the end of the fight, that punk knew he lost it, he came out acting Mr Big Shot and got schooled by me and was lucky that one judge felt sorry for him. Fortunately for me, the other two judges were watching the world class performance I was putting on." When asked about the challenge of fighting Charles Martel for the BW Syn title Leroy had the following to say. "The only thing I'm scared of the most is the weight cut. I've never fought at 135lbs before but I'm confident I can make the weight. Why should I fear a has been? I'm the legend killer, Charles Martel is just going to be another name added to the list! He should have retired a long time ago, much like Clint Lomax. I'm looking forward to getting that Syn belt wrapped around my waist, proving that I'm the best BW fighter in the world." We have no clue who's going to be winning this massive fight between these two superstars but one thing we do know, Leroy Morris vs Charles Martel is a fight you do not want to miss!
  2. http://i.imgur.com/F9boWsN.jpg?1 Leroy Morris being interviewed post MMA Helsinki 68 We managed to get a chance to get a quick word with Leroy Morris (22-12) following his victory over Frank "Razor" Rizzo Jr (30-20-3) who was keen to send out a clear message to a fellow MMA Helsinki fighter and one of the legends in Mixed Martial Arts - Clint "The Manchester Nightmare" Lomax (62-19-4). " First of all before I get started I just want to thank the owner Ispa Murhapuro for giving me the Fight of the Night bonus, I'll be putting that money to good use! I also want to thank him for finally giving me the chance to get in the cage with Frank Rizzo Jr who, ever since he beat Kid Torres has been walking around as if he actually is someone. I know some people don't remember this but I was the one who also offered to step into the cage to fight Kid Torres. I saw it was a perfect opportunity to show case my skills and prove that I was capable of fighting some of the top Featherweights in the world. Instead of me getting to move on to fight in Syn, Frank got to do that instead. He took that opportunity away from me and I was certainly not for letting him get another one over me tonight, that win was always going to be mine. A want to send out a message to Clint Lomax. This old timer is 42 years old and still thinks that because of his "legend" status in the world of MMA that he can still fight which he can but he is no where near close to how good he was in his prime. I want to give him a bit of advice, retire and walk away from this sport. You know why I want him to do that, it's because Clint Lomax is a washed up, has been. If you want an example of a fighter who left it too late to retire, he's a prime example. If he wants one last fight before he retires, I'm ready to step into that cage and show he why he should have retired long ago. Oh and one last thing Clint, don't make the mistake other fighters have made and try to make a come back after you retire, just look at what happened to that embarrassment Kid Torres when he tried that move. " Is it time for Clint Lomax to call it a day and retire from the sport of MMA? Is there a potential fight between Leroy Morris and Clint Lomax on the cards? I guess we'll find out soon enough in the near future!
  3. http://mmatycoon.com/images/company/logo/1311347563ghj.png MMA HELSINKI 143 MMA Helsinki 143 seems like just your average normal MMA event, not for "Devastator" Leroy Morris (11-5) though. He's penciled in to face "Inhottava" Pena Traselli (15-3) in a rematch he's wanted since he lost against Pena in their first fight back in March 2013. MMA Helsinki 131 was supposed to be a night of celebrations for Leroy Morris, marking his return to the cage at MMA Helsinki, instead the celebrations were cut short when Pena connected with a left hook to the head of Leroy, causing him to fall face first on to the matt. "It couldn't have went any worse, I didn't bring my A game and he had stuffed every single one of my takedowns, so it left me really frustrated. To make matters worse, I was out cold before the end of the first round. I made mistakes for that fight and felt I under performed so I'm keen to make amends for it." Since then Leroy has won back to back victories and is looking to keep the momentum going with a win against Pena Trasseli. Pena is on an impressive winning streak of 6 back to back wins, with his most recent win coming against BJJ black belt Jason Overfield Jr (14-10) at MMA Helsinki 139. Will Leroy Morris get revenge against Pena Traselli? Or will history repeat itself? Find out on the 15th of May 2013 at MMA Helsinki 143!
