Since it seems all the wheels are in motion for the new season of the ITFL, I have decided to start a Pick Em league for everyone interested in taking part. Classic Pick Em rules apply - You choose who you think will win each fight and you earn a point for every correct pick. Most points by the end of the season wins a cash prize which will be provided by myself, plus any donations received for it. There are 10 rounds in the ITFL this year, with 21 fights in each round. It sounds like a lot, but it also means you can easily make a comeback later on with some smart picking if you fall behind early. All rounds will have the fights put into the OP of this thread, with links to the fighters so you can make your picks between them. Only time will tell if this is a success or worthwhile, but I am hopeful on it. Bunn looks to close the distance and get fights to the mat where he is a brazilian jiu-jitsu black-belt. He prefers to keep the dominant position and beat guys up with his ground strikes over going for submissions but did show some ability in that aspect in his last fight against Bobby Dettman. The only striker who has beaten Bunn this year is Ed Gein in what I considered a pretty shocking finish as Bunn had never even been hurt to that point in his career. His other two losses were to a BJJ black-belt who was able to out-grapple him in Mr. Azure. Defeated Dr. Gonzo in a super-fight right after he upset Barry Scott Defeated Buzz Coltran in the rematch to regain the UPG Vegas 135lbs title Defeated Buzz Coltran in the rubber-match to retain his championship Key Losses in 2013 Defeated by Buzz Coltran losing his UPG Vegas 135lbs championship Rafa Silva is without a doubt one of the most dominant fighters in the lighter weight divisions with an overall record of 29 wins and only 1 loss. He has elite muay-thai skills and uses an aggressive attack brutalizing opponents with low kicks to the leg and body. He is also deadly with his head kicks and lands on 41% of his attempts. Rafa Silva is one of the most dangerous guys in the bantam-weight division with 20 career wins coming via TKO or knock-out but Bunn has a great chin so it will be interesting to see if Silva can finish him or if he even tries. The keys to victory for Rafa will be to keep Bunn moving backwards and land the bigger shots to wear him down and help him keep this fight standing where he should have an advantage. If the fight does hit the mat he'll need to control the position and work his way back to his feet. Two of the best lighter weight fighters square off in this epic super-fight put on by the folks at Ascension (thanks to Synchrocity for allowing this to happen). Who do you guys see winning it?
