  1. http://www.mmatycoon.com/gallery/0/13897163587142.png Today, August 5th is the day that a fighter known as Lil Wayne is hanging up his gloves after compiling an impressive 51-11-2 record. Even more impressive is that fact that Weezy, a name that he also goes by, has fought Who's Who of the MMATycoon World, the list including: 16-1 Hector Camacho, who appears to have been on shaky ground as of late, 16-1 David Lang, now known as Eugene Puck, 9-1 Shin Dong Hyuk, and stars like: James Robertson, Jameson Connemara, Malakai Semerkhet, HelixCabrera, Corbin Murphy, Fabian Hoi, Ron Lemieux, Sean Tallon, Abraham Donowitz, Lorne Malvo, Takeshi Yuudai, Don Juan Matus, Aleksandra De Souza, Kantaro Hoshino, Christian Tavares, and others. He has seen it all, including going on a 23-fight winning streak, finishing 18 of his first 20 fights (losing one), holding two belts at once, coming in 3rd P4P, winning the Breakthrough Fighter of the Year in 2015, and last, but not least--having been killed and resurrected by Mike on 4/1/2016. Lil Wayne did not want to speak with us, aside from saying that he is tired and his body hurts. So long, fight fans.
  2. Third fight with Tolo Seia on EVO 183 is going to be his last perfomance in the career. I have never been good at promoting my fighters but somehow AJ's name got some recognition and his profile hits 7.6k+ views. I don't know if it's really big number but it's definitely much more than any other my fighter ever had. AJ was one of my very first fighters. I've created him 20 years old, put in a public gym in tokyo and made to lift weights. I was still getting used to "project" concept. Anyway he got some succes in mid-tier orgs including SPFT branch in St.Petersburg. I knew he was smart, determined and had pretty heavy hands but his chin was always questionable. He was rocked almost in every fight but usually managed to comeback and steal the win. I think turning point in his career was first fight in main SPFT org. Back then I was manager of the SPFT and needed LHW contender badly. Ansgar Axelsson looked to me very promising rising star and I decided to bring AJ for him. I was sure he will be underdog in that fight but it was win-win situation. AJ won. He won SPFT title next. And fought only top-tier fighters from that moment. AJ for me is a perfect example of how you can be affected to the fictional character. It's a very special feeling when you slowly play-by-play fight at 5am and hear how your heart is beating loud.
  3. After long careers, their injuries have piled up, age has taken it's toll and I don't do them justice with time spent setting proper training and game planning any more. Two of the greatest ever have decided to retire today after their final victories over great opponents. Rinky Spider and Bowser Stormcrow are calling it a career and finishing at #1 in their respective weight classes, and both in the top 10 P4P where they have resided for a few years now. Rinky and Bowser have had some great rivalries along with way and thanks to everyone who participated. Cheers!

    Retirement

Besides this whole employing retired fighters discussion: I might be ground and pounding a dead horse here, but... Well, since some of my fighters are getting into "that age", i had asked about retirement, and was told they don't end their careers themselves but i would have to retire them with retire-function (which is quite expensive when it goes to the bahamas) or simply sack them and then maybe look on as someone else picks them up or deplete their skills before sacking them so they'll never get picked up... so my thoughts are: a) shouldn't the retirement be free after an age (in their 40th) that would be determent by a combination of a random factor and the number of fights and especially TKO losses? if manual retirement doesn't get to be free, shouldn't the fighter call the quits at one point? If any of this is implemented and i just didn't know then, never mind any of my arguments...
  5. Sad to see him retire, thought he was a great fighter and some of his fights were really entertaining. He's been unfortunate with a lot of injuries. Came so close to winning the title in that fight against Brock Lesnar, can't believe Brock survived in that fight and I thought Shane had won it for sure. http://www.mmajunkie.com/news/2013/05/former-ufc-interim-champ-shane-carwin-announces-retirement-from-mma
