He started out at 8-2 while continuing to focus more on K-1. With an MMA record of 9-3 he signed with CWFL. He lost 3 decisions in a row due to his lack of wrestling and ground game. He retired briefly and continued his K-1 career, winning the 2011 & 2013 K-1 Grand Prix and defended his LHW Title 17 times before moving up to Heavyweight to fight Longtime Champion Don Marciano in an MMA/K-1 special rules fight. In their rematch, which shows up on their K-1 records, Burns Jr redeemed the loss by decision 3 months afterwards. He retired from K-1 after that fight, he holds a record of 130-3-1 and recently won the 2015 K-1 Grand Prix by beating Rocky Tyson by knockout in the finals, a rematch of their earlier MMA split decision bout. Burns Jr is 20-7 since training MMA full time and taking it seriously. His first run in BMP he went 3-1, and then scored 3 stunning comeback KO victories in a row in CFC in Montreal. He then lost the MMA/K-1 special rules superfight to Don Marciano by close decision. Burns Jr then KO'd Magabo and was then robbed by split decision after dominating Nikolai Kovalenko. Simba Jr then Knocked out Simon Williams(the reigning BMP Champion). Doomsday Drost then had his title taken by Burns Jr and Simba defended it twice successfully Knocking out Kovelenko getting revenge by headkick and taking out his training partner Garik Harlamov.
