  1. I pay very close attention to who is ranked where in each division and I like to predict match ups based on form, rank and entertainment value. Below is what I would have matched up for UFC 200 depending on outcomes of fights/injury/availability. Main Card: Lawler vs GSP - title McGregor vs Aldo 2/edgar - title Diaz vs Ferguson/Khabib Rothwell vs Velasquez Bisping vs Whittaker Prelims: Silva vs Mousasi/Kennedy Pena vs Holm Mir vs Nelson Almeida vs McDonald Fight Pass: Poirier vs Cerrone Ortega vs C Oliveira Northcutt vs a can So far The UFC have the following in the works or confirmed: Jon Jones vs Daniel Cormier - Glad to hear they were able to put this on the card. Everyone knows its a huge grudge match and it will bring in decent numbers. Most likely Jones walks away with another UD over him. They seem to be obsessed with proving who is the better wrestler though which is a bit of a turn off. I think it will end up being pretty similar to the last fight but hopefully we see a finish (hopefully JBJ gets the finish ). Jose Aldo vs Frankie Edgar - Personally, I am glad to see this fight happen ONLY because Diaz vs McGregor is confirmed now. There has been debate about if this should or should not be for the interim title. Should be a good fight and I'm gonna be routing for Frankie, safe to say the winner will face McGregor in NY later in the year for the actual title fight. Meisha Tate vs Amanda Nunes - Expected to see Meisha fighting and I am actually glad its not yet another rematch, I think Tate will defend her title and we will see Tate vs Rousey in MSG. Cain Velasquez vs Travis Browne - Well no doubt this is an exciting fight and with all other high ranked HW's booked already it makes sense. I think we all know where this one is going though - Browne unconscious. Does this fight make sense? I guess so, Brown is coming off a win, even if it was a dirty performance in the eyes of many and Cain is coming off a loss and has been injured. It will bring in the numbers and make for an exciting fight, no doubt so I don't have a problem with this. TJ Dillashaw vs Raphael Assuncao - Another rematch on the card, Assuncao is on a long winning streak and beat TJ last time out. Should be a good fight with a lot of incentive to win from both guys, TJ to get revenge for his loss and back to winning and Assuncao to get the title shot next. Johny Hendricks vs Kelvin Gastelum - Will they make weight? lol. Another fight that doesn't overly excite me. Both coming off a loss, both have an average amount of hype behind them and both have a wrestling background. Big opportunity for Kelvin to race up the rankings. Should be alright, not got much more to say about it. Gegard Mousasi vs Derek Brunson - When I first saw the match up, I wasn't overly excited about it but it makes sense despite Mousasi calling out higher ranked fighters and not getting any of whom he called out. Brunson is on a good streak with KO's in the alst 3 and Mousasi is a decent contender in the top 10, not the most exciting fighter but I think Brunson will force him into a pretty exciting fight. Julianna Pena vs Cat Zingano - This will be a war I recon, these are two of the few in womens divisions that I will actually get quite exited about watching. It's difficult to say if the winner of this will be next for a shot after Rousey returns as I am sure Holm will be matched up with another serious contender soon and if she wins, lots of people will be wanting that rematch vs Rousey somewhere down the line. Joe Lauzon vs Diego Sanchez - Did not see this coming, nor did I want to see it coming. Two big names in the MMA world (I guess) but past their primes and have no chance at contendership. This is the most Fightpass fight ever, two guys who have the potential to put on a good fight but no-one really cares about either anymore, at least I don't think so. Takanori Gomi vs Jim Miller - This is a fight pass fight I am sure, I actually forgot Gomi was still on the roster. 2 guys that have been in the game for a while and should be an okay fight, nothing to write home about. Sage Northcutt vs Enrique Marin - Just to add another well known name to the card, expected this on the fight pass fights. Marin seems to have some submission wins so perhaps we will see another quick tap from sage..? ----------- What are your thoughts so far and who would you like to see at 200?
