In a brief press release Kong Suhan had the following to say post-fight ONI 42 :

"I felt like I had a great night. The fight went basically the way I wanted it to, and I was able to be dominant when I had the fight were I wanted it. A couple times Funaki managed to get me in a few bad spots after he scored with some takedowns, but I trained lots of defensive grappling leading into this bout so there was no way I was getting caught in a submission. Funaki is a true warrior, and just as the name would suggest he came to fight! I have never fought someone that when I turn it up like I did against him doesn't wind up out cold on the mat. Before the fight I said I was going to test his granite chin, and I did just that. Unfortunately for me his chin held up, and I wasn't able to get the KO. I'm happy with the results though even though it went to the judges I feel like it was one of my best performances to date."

UNDERCARD

Submission Specialist Tomas Fonacier still have yet to win in ONI in 2 fights and is on a 3 fight losing streak overall. His last loss came at the expense of Antoni Lim via TKO (Knees) last Jan 5 in the 1st round. In that fight, Tomas showed poor striking defense against a very solid striker absorbing all strikes unloaded towards him. He also have shown a very poor takedown skill which is crucial in his gameplan. His big weakness is his overall defense thus far and it will have to improve bigtime if he is to have a chance in his upcoming fight.

Gabriel Rodrigues, who lost in his last fight outside ONI via TKO (Strikes) last Dec 18 will be making his ONI debut. In that fight, Gabriel showed the heart to go toe-to-toe against a very solid boxer. He showed very decent striking defense but his in ability to bring the fight to the ground proved to be costly as he wasn't able to go to where he has a big advantage, which is on the GROUND.

His ability to be aggressive on feet will be a big advantage coming to the fight, thus MMA Experts picks Gabriel go for his 9th win overall.

24yr old Antonio Luna is riding high on a 4 fight winning streak, this sensational boxer last won at ONI 39 over Kenny Botwin last Jan 8 via Unanimous Decision. In that fight, Anotonio showed how tough he can be showing unloading his full artillery, bombing Kenny with all kinds of punches. He frustrated Kenny all fight long by thwarting 52 out of a total 55 takedown attempts. Antonio is a very aggressive fighter and is very much capable of unloading punches in bunches. His solid ground defense is very ideal and the continues improvement of that defense, that could be instrumental as he can continue being aggressive knowing he can handle his opponent defensively.

Joe Bell is coming off a Unanimous Decision over Gregorio Del Pilar last Jan 5 to make a good impression in his ONI debut. In that fight, Joe survive a cut in the 1st round by doing what he does best, going for clinch on every chance. Against a very good boxer, he tried to go toe-to-toe on the distance, though he was able to connect on some of his strikes, his opponent got the better end of those exchanges. But on the clinch game, he was very aggressive. Inspite of his opponent showing some good striking defense, his continues pressure put his opponent on the defensive almost the whole time on clinch. If he continues to exert himself and go to his strengths, Joe have a very good chance on getting this one.

MMA Analysts sees an explosive battle between these 2 warriors, but is picking Antonio Luna move up to 5-1 w/l card.

Laurent Gardan continues to wreak havoc and is now on a 3 fight winning streak and is still undefeated in ONI. His last fight was a KO (Punch) at ONI 39 over Fabricio Dos Nikkos last Jan 8 in the 1st round. In that fight, Laurent didn't waste time bringing the fight to his opponent, connecting on his strikes while thwarting all takedown attempts by his opponent towards a dominating victory. His takedown defense is definitely solid but if he can show that his striking defense is just as good, then 4 win streak is sure to come.

Daniele Fuschini will be making his ONI debut. Prior to coming to ONI, he is in a 2 fight losing streak. In his last fight, he showed some good takedown defense as he was able to get the 1st round by imposing his game to the ground. But his inability to bring the fight to the ground, plus his opponent, forcing to get clinch had him helpless towards another loss. His ability to defend from strikes will be key in picking up his 10th win overall.

MMA Experts sees Laurent is on a roll and is very comfortable of his gameplan for the past couple of fights and they don't see him stopping to as he marches his way for an 8-2 w/l card.

Young Mirko Filipovic is only 2 fight old in his MMA career, but is showing a lot of potential. His upcoming fight will be a good test on how ready he is for the bigtime. His last two fights, showed some decent takedown defense but still have a lot of improvements needed. He is aggressive, which is a good sign, but his accuracy will also need to be work on. His composure will surely be tested in his upcoming fight, if he stays aggressive, he may be looking towards a good ONI debut.

Cinderella Man got back on the winning track by disposing Payne Inflikta via TKO (Strikes) at ONI 39 last Jan 8 in the 1st round. He displayed very good takedown defense and caught his opponent off tracked with his clinch-break clinch game. He connected a good amount of his strikes towards a big victory. Interesting on how he will keep his opponent off balance this time and show if he is up to tasked as far as his striking defense is concerned. His aggressiveness will be key as well against an inexperience fighter towards another victory.

MMA Analysts is slightly picking Cinderella Man for a 4-3 w/l card with his experience being a big factor.

Anderson Edgar struggled against Gary White in his last fight, suffering a TKO (Strikes) loss last Jan 15 in the 1st round at ONI 40. He had a hard time bringing the fight to the ground as he was waylaid by Gary in the clinch unable to avoid almost all the punches his opponent unloaded. He has the capacity to score on strikes especially on his kicks which he should utilize, but his ability to bring the fight to ground will be crucial as it is where he is most comfortable.

Chris Poirier suffered a TKO (Cut) loss against Kong Su Han at ONI 35 last Dec 11 in the 1st round. In that fight, he struggled to find his game on the clinch and was exposed in that aspect. He was put on the defensive with the continues pressure coming from his opponent. He possess some good takedown defense but his aggressiveness will have to step up and willingness to unload more strikes if he wishes to get back on the winning track. Almost a 2 month layoff since his last fight, it will be interesting to see if he has improve in those aspect.

MMA Experts sees a tough match on this, but is slightly picking Chris Poirier to improve to 6-1 w/l card.

Former Lightheavy Champ Rikki Tavi is in an unfamiliar situation right now, a 2 fight losing streak. Since losing his title against Joshua Azamora, Rikki has yet to get back on the winning track, this time suffering a Submission (Guillotine) loss to Sidney Crosby at ONI 38 last Jan 1 in the 1st round. He is struggling to find his range in the last 2 fights and is having having difficulty on the clinch. Though he showed some good takedown defense, once on ground, it was a whole different story as he falls via submission in his opponent's 1st attempt. He have to refocused and get back to the form he once was if he is to work his way to the top once again.

Romulo Barral continues to impress since coming over to ONI and have racked up 2 straight wins and still undefeated in his current org. His last match was a convincing Unanimous Decision victory over Ronnie Carlton last Dec 25 at ONI 37. His ability and willingness to brawl on feet is a big factor in his game as he is very deadly on the ground. He is unrelentless in looking for his takedowns and if he continues to do just that, his opponent will have a hard time breaking his gameplan. If his striking defense proves up to task, then he is on his way to another W.

MMA Experts sees an interesting bout between 2 fighters with contrasting fate for now, but his very solid takedowns makes his a bit favored to continue his momentum and sees Romulo getting a close win for a 9-3 w/l record.

Another fighter set to make his ONI debut is Shingo Takeda who have won his last fight prior to making his arrival in ONI with a TKO (Strikes) win over George Jones last Dec 27 in the 2nd round. Shingo is a very aggressive fighter, capable of unloading strikes after strikes but have questionable striking defense. His game shows some pretty good takedown defense, but will be tested once again as he is set to face a solid ground specialist. If continues to be aggressive and starts to connect early then it will be another good day for Shingo.

Fellow former AJFC fighter and will be making his ONI debut is Kanbei Shimada. Currently in a 2 fight losing streak incurred prior to coming here at ONI. His last loss was via a Submission (Guillotine) last Jan 3 in the 2nd round. In that fight, he is showing not much aggressiveness on the ground which is supposed to be his specialty. His inability to defend well on the ground is a growing concern as well. But in his upcoming fight, his striking defense will now be in focus as he will be up against a striker. If he proves that his striking defense is way solid compared to his ground defense then he may get back on the winning track.

MMA Analysts is looking closely in a fight between 2 former AJFC fighters, but is slightly picking Shingo to improve to 15-9 w/l record.

22yr old Hikaru Monotoshi got back on the winning track after a 3 fight losing streak via TKO (Punches) victory over Michael James at ONI 39 last Jan 8 in the 1st round. In that fight, Hikaru showed good takedown defense and was very aggressive on his feet for a big win. His striking defense is doubtful towards this fight as well as his takedown defense. If he has improve his striking defense well enough it could be very vital going against a very aggressive fighter who looks for his punches.

Blake Steadham is another fighter back on the winning track with a Unanimous Decision victory over Thomas Look at ONI 40 last Jan 15. In that fight, Blake showed some decent striking defense while unloading over a hundred strikes to keep his opponent on the defensive all fight long. If he can sustain the same aggressiveness while showing some very good ground defense in his upcoming fight, then expect Blake to have a good night.

MMA Experts sees a close match in this card but is tipping Blake to overcome Hikaru's experience for a 5-3 w/l card.

CO-MAIN EVENT

25yr old Peewee Herman will be making his ONI debut and is bringing in a very impressive resume. He suffered his 1st defeat prior to coming to ONI in his last fight for AJFC in a Welterweight Title fight last Dec 27 via a Unanimous Decision. In his last fight, he went toe-to-toe against another striker, though he showed some very good striking defense, he was overwhelmed with the amount of strikes thrown at him by his opponent thus bringing him on the defensive almost all throughout the fight. If he can come up more aggressively just like his earlier fights and exhibit the same kind of striking defense then Peewee will be back on the win column.

Karl Veneracion is now on a 2 fight winning streak. This crafty veteran eked out a Submission (Arm Triangle) victory last Jan 15 in the 1st round. In that fight, Karl executed his gameplan to a T, taking his opponent down to the ground almost at will where is he most dangerous while showing good striking defense on his feet. His ability to take his opponent down and impose his game on the ground will be a key factor in going for his 3rd straight win.

Peewee have yet to face a ground specialist in his last couple of fights and MMA Analysts knows his takedown defense will be tested, with all that said, they are still slightly favoring Peewee to come out on top and improve to 12-1 w/l card.

MAIN EVENT

(Welter Weight Title Bout)

Welter Champ Matt Heizel have made ONI his personal playground in his MMA career thus far. Demolishing all opponents thrown at him including a Super Bout against Truck The Icepick in his resume. NOW, once again, this time not a Super Bout but with the Welterweight Title on the line, Matt will be facing Truck The Icepick once again. He romped his way to a KO (Punches) victory in his 1st title defense against Jay Roc last Jan 1 in the 1st round at ONI 38. In that fight, Matt look vulnerable unable to defend well with his opponent's takedowns but once on feet, Matt looks his old self bombarding his opponent with impressive accuracy in romping off to another victory. In his 1st fight versus Truck The Icepick, Matt didn't give his opponent much chance as he connected early with a hook, but a headkick drops his opponent to the mat and with more strikes to unload he finished his opponent in that Super Bout. If he remains his usual destructive self, then 2nd title defense will be safe under his belt.

Truck The Icepick ended his Super Bout ways at 2-2 w/l. And is now keen on staying put for a while here in ONI. And this time he is set to face Welter Champ Matt Heizel for the title in a rematch of their Super Bout. In their initial meeting, Truck wasn't able to do much as he was overwhelmed by the aggressiveness of Matt which led to a disappointing finish. He got back on track and re-ready himself by going on tour for the last time in a Super Bout at AJFC. In that match, Truck showed his old deadly self, as he figured in a standup brawl, but this time displaying a deadly set of striking defense while unloading bombs after bombs in the distance or on clinch to win a one-sided match in his favor. Another striking match he's got himself into in this rematch and with much more at stake, he will need his striking defense to hold up once again and unloads his full striking arsenal as he guns for the 170lb belt.

This will be an all out war and MMA Experts are keenly awaiting this rematch, but once again, they are slightly tipping towards another Matt victory to retain the crown.

OSAKA NITEN ICHI , One of Tokyo's Premier Organization, in cooperation with Average Joes FC Smashwear - Tokyo , Koffin Inc. - London , Lion Clothing - London , Grappling Pro Gear - Tokyo and to the house that brings you great odds , CBK Bets - Tokyo

This is ONI/AJFC's greatest fighter/journalist of all time Destroyer Of Worlds here to bring you the low down on whats up with ONI Fight Night 20!

The card has been set and the odds are posted in CBK Bookie in Tokyo, so nothing left to do but THROW DOWN! Here are my picks and why...

Main Event:

Ginger Mann -vs- George St. Pierre

This should be a pretty good fight. Ginger Mann is a beast and rightfully so,because his only losses come to Crazy Smash Ya

and Gunnar Hansen...believe this man is not too far away from his once championship form.

George St. Pierre has been around since the beginning of ONI and is no slouch himself. He has had 2 title shots which may have fell short, but

his ground game is terrifying!

The fact is I believe Ginger Mann will wear his opponent out and get the KO in the later round(s)

Co-main event:

Rodel Hiligaynon -vs- Benito Vasquez

Rodel is the champion and is still undefeated. He has been around since the early days of ONI and has defeated everyone in his path by either KO or decision.

Benito is great on the ground and has earned himself a title shot with great submissions. This will be a good fight classic grappler v striker!

I look for Rodel to retain his title here with a decision win

Mirko Crocop -vs- Jan Jan Echano

CroCop has been at the top of the pile before, but fell short of a title back at the last PPV. That being said, he is hungry for redemption and will probably go all out on this on.

Echano is making his debut in ONI after being a top contender in AJFC.Echano likes to stand and bang Looking for a knockout with powerful kicks.

In my opinion CroCop takes this one by KO. He is just a better fighter.

Milk Fish -vs- Mr Heisenberg

Fish earned his title shot and was unable to bring home the gold, but then defeated a top contender in Halme...Fish is still a tough competitor and will probably climb back up the ladder.

Mr Heisenberg is a tough grappler who has had mixed results in his career.

IMO Heisenberg is a stepping stone for Fish...

Top Dawg -vs- John Batista

top dog has been around for awhile, training and looking to make an impact. He has had a problem in the past with cuts, so lets hope the cutman shows up ready to do his job!

John Batista is a fighter who needs a win here. If he can exploit Top Dawg's tendancy to cut, then he may be in business!

Batista by cut stoppage...(The real Batista should keep his ass in wrestling and leave the fighting to the fighters)

Brett Reznar -vs- Oni Black

Brett shares his name with the famed Trent Reznar from Nine Ince Nails, but he seems to lack the same ability to rock out.

Oni Black has recently been knocked out and submitted in his last two outings. He is tough, but inconsistant in his performances.

I'm going with the veteran Reznar actually...he may have turned his career around!

John Queen -vs- Kenny Botwin

John Queen was on an impressive run until he dropped the ball in his title shot. Another recent loss is probably still haunting him. Look for the hunger in his eyes!

Kenny Botwin shares his last name with "The Botwins" from the show "Weeds".

Lets hope he doesn't show up high to this fight and leaves it all in the ring...

Can Botwin aveng his loss to Queen? I don't think so...

Roy Nelson -vs- Black Belt

Nelson was once a top contender, but has fell on bad luck lately losing some fights which he should have won. Still a fierce competitor on the ground, don't take him lightly!

Not much is known about Black Belt except he only has a blue belt and some great stand up...He has yet to prove his worth in ONI.

If Nelson can lay off the onion rings and start eating fish like the rest of us he has a good chance in taking the decision here, but I could be totally wrong because Black Belt is still untested.

Slobozel Doruletz -vs- Jew Pro

Not much is known about Doruletz other than he needs money badly(grey wizard needs food badly [golden axe reference]) Who knows how long he has been without a gym, but this is no way to win fights.

Jew Pro has been a punching bag lately, but make no mistake, he is a bad ass on the ground.

I look for Jew Pro to delay the payday of Doruletz via submission.

Robbie Hutson -vs- Mits Tumbles

Completely untested Hutson is making his professional debut in this fight. On paper he has good boxing and ju-jitsu, but what is on paper normally doesn't matter.

Tumbles has done just that since starting his career. 0-2 is not ideal, but he is still young and can turn things around pretty quick with the right training.

I think Hutson's superior boxing will write the story on this night...Lights out Tumbles first round

Well there you have it folks, like it or leave it, that is my call on the upcoming ONI Fight Night 20. Wow, already 20 "fight night" events in the books, what a pace ONI sets here in Tokyo!

If your name is on this list, feel privleged to fight in the fastest-rising Org. in Japan. If I offend you, get over it, if I talked you up, don't feel special...This is just my opinion!

Hello fight fans Justin Cider here back with another episode of MMAHead Radio! On this episode we're going to be talking about any and all news that has gone down in the fight world over the last week. But before we get to all that we have a special guest stepping into the studio for a brief interview, and to hype up his next fight. Ladies and gentlemen the man, the myth, the legend Kong Suhan! Welcome Kong glad you could be here again great to see you!

Kong - Thanks Justin. Man you really poured it on hard there buddy. I'm hardly a legend at this point I would have settled for future hall of famer hahaha!

Cider - Haha ok I'll tell my producer to make that adjustment to your intro for next time then. Now on to the matters at hand you are coming off the first decision win of your career over former ONI Champ Funaki in one of your most dominate performances to date. Give us your thoughts on that fight.

Kong - Well first off my hats off to Funaki! That dude is a beast for sure. I hit him with some big shots in that tilt, and he never appeared to be in any trouble at any point in the fight. I am happy with my performance, but a little disappointed that I was unable to finish him. I have a few things to work on to make sure I don't wind up leaving it in the judges hands again, because man you just never know what those guys are watching. Sometimes it seems they feel sorry for the guy who took a shit kicking, and give him the nod outta sympathy!

Cider - Well I'm sure there was never any doubt in the judges minds as to who won your fight against Funaki. Many were speculating that with a win in that fight you'd have earned your title shot, but here you are announcing your bout with former Champ Nelio dos Santos. Do you feel you should have gotten the next shot? You had even predicted the outcome of the White/dos Santos fight, and called out White for a rematch if he won.

Kong - Ok listen first and foremost I'm a soldier, and I'll fight whoever ONI wants me to. I have no problem fighting Nelio the guys a legend in the sport, and has been in some wars not to mention the super fights he always likes to partake in. He may not have had the most success over his last few fights, but the guy has been fighting beasts, and jumped up to 155 to take on the LW Champ in a super fight. Would I have preferred to have fought him when he had the belt? Sure yeah but that doesn't take anything away from this fight it truly is an honour to fight Nelio. As far as the Gary White rematch I think I'm next in line, but with the AJFC merger they promised the Champ coming from over there the next shot so I'm ok with it. I could have sat on the sidelines and waited my turn, but I prefer to stay active.

Cider - Ok well I guess the way you lay all that out it makes sense. I think your fans would have preferred to see the White rematch so I guess they'll just have to wait until after the ONI 45 card. Do you think White will retain his belt allowing you the chance at your rematch in a title shot should you get past Nelio?

Kong - Well I do see White coming away with the win against Cottero. Nothing against Cottero but he is so new to the sport White has more finishes then he has total fights. I know he is currently undefeated, and captured the AJFC Championship but he has never fought a guy like White. I think he'll put up a pretty good fight, but I see White being to much and walking away with the (T)KO victory. Then if I manage to get the W against Nelio I'll be the official #1 Contender, and that'll setup our rematch. I can't wait to get back in there with White, and trade leather! That's the one loss that keeps me up at night!

Cider - Sounds like you're pretty pumped up to take on the Champ, but shouldn't you be focused on your fight with Nelio? Fighters who look past opponents tend to open themselves up to defeat.

Kong - Believe Justin right now Nelio has all my attention! I eat, sleep, train, and shit thinking about that guy. There is never a time in the day that Nelio isn't on my mind it's actually kinda creepy now that I think about it. I mean even the last time I went out I picked up these two chicks, and brought them back to my place for some fun in the hot tub. Well you know how that goes some Champagne in there with two hot chicks only took about 20 minutes and they were buck ass naked making out with each other. So cue yours truly into the scene, and let's just say right at the big finish I was picturing finishing Nelio. Wow did I just say that on air? Shit I wonder what my therapist would say about that whole scenario?

Cider - Well first of all that does sound like a pretty sweet night! Ah to be a fighter in Tokyo must be nice. Secondly fucking gross that you even thought about Nelio during that, but I guess that just shows us all how serious you are about this fight! Ok well that's just about our time here, any last words for your fans?

Kong - Yeah just the usual I guess. Thanks to my sponsors AJFC Smashwear Clothing, and Syndicate Drugs. Without those guys I'd have to work a real job, and believe me I have no other skills! And a big shout out to the guys over at Modern Samurais without them I wouldn't be able to compete at this level competitively! And just be sure to check out ONI 45 Feb 19th live from Hayashi's Lounge Tokyo. Not only will you see yours truly take on former ONI Champ Nelio dos Santos, but there's also 2 title fights on the card as Gary White looks to defend his newly acquired belt against AJFC Champ Tommy Cottero and ONI LHW Champ Joseph Azamora takes on #1 Contender Kenji Akiyama. It promises to be a great night of fights for all!

Cider - Thanks Kong good luck in the fight, and I'm sure all your fans will be rooting for you to come out with another win setting yourself up for your title shot and potential rematch with current Champ Gary White. We'll be right back to MMAHead Radio right after these words.....

Roy Nelson made this announcement earlier today, "It's with a great deal of sadness that I must announce my official retirement from active competition. I'm twenty-five years old and I'm not getting any younger guys. I'm sorry to say it but my loss to the man simply known as Black Belt is the final straw- I'm out."

Sources close to Nelson report that at this time, there are no plans to remain in training or take an active role as a sparring partner for younger fighters. Nelson's management could not be reached for comment.

UNDERCARD

26yr old Johnny Rabbit is on a 3 fight losing streak, his last lost came at the expense of Yoshi Mucao via Submission (Armbar) last Dec 20 in the 1st round. In that fight, Johnny was the one aggressive, as he looks for a takedown at the start of the fight and got it, he was able to score with some good ground and pound, but got careless as Yoshi got the chance to go for a submission and end the fight to turn things around. In his last couple of fights, he will have to polish his wrestling overall, with a suspect takedown skill, he will have to work double time if he wish to get one over his next opponent. His defensive grapple also will be on spotlight, which is expected to improve given the timeframe of preparation since his last fight.

Daniel Korn continues to go on a roller coaster career so far, inconsistency is his main problem, winning today and losing the next time. He lost his last fight against Kamaneto Funaki via Submission (Kimura) at ONI 40 last Jan 15 in the 2nd round. An accomplished wrestler at that, but his takedown and takedown defense skills is still shaky, struggling in those areas in his last couple of fights. But if he can be consistent getting those takedowns, it will be a big boost on his part as Daniel possess one of the most active and deadly ground and pound in the game.

MMA Experts sees a tough one in this fight, but sees Johnny's well round game could be an advantage in getting out of the slump and improve to 12-9 w/l card.

Gregorio Del Pilar, after a hot start with 3 successive wins is not on a tailspin, following that with 3 straight losses. His last match was a disappointing Unanimous Decision loss against Joe Bell last Jan 5. In that fight, Gregorio and Joe battled toe-to-toe striking from the distance, but it was in the clinch game wherein Joe zoomed away from Gregorio. Inspite of showing some good striking defense, Gregorio was put on the defensive with the continues aggressiveness of Joe on clinch. One positive thing coming for Gregorio in his upcoming fight, is his impressive takedown defense as he is set to go up against a young wrestler about to make his MMA debut.

Randy Orton will be making his MMA and ONI debut in his upcoming battle against Gregorio. The 20yr wrestler from England will have his hands full against an a solid striker. Not much info or videos are available about this young fighter but if he can bring the fight to ground, along with a decent striking defense to hold off the barrage from Gregorio, then Randy can have a good chance of getting out of this fight with a victory.

MMA Analysts sees Gregorio with his experience to break out of his slump and improve to 4-3 w/l card.

Young Wesley Sneijder is coming off a sweet TKO (Strikes) victory over Fleishkaes Aktion last Jan 19 in the 1st round to continue moving up the ladder in the 145lb division. In that fight, Wesley figured in a standup battle relying mostly on his punches while his opponent relying on his kicks. It was a toss up since both fighters is connecting convincingly, but determination of Wesley prevailed as he got the better end of the striking game to come out on top. In his young career, Wesley have yet to be tested as far as his takedown defense is concerned and his upcoming fight will be a good gauge to see if he can withstand his upcoming opponent who is noted for his ground game.

Cross Lindland snapped his 2 fight losing streak with a masterful Submission (Armbar) victory over Henery Phooey last jan 19 in the 1st round. In that fight, Cross showed his striking defense is not much to be desired as he was hammered with some vicious kicks coming from his opponent several times, but his ability to bring the fight to the ground made his life easy as he was able to control and do his thing with his impressive bjj skills. Since his last fight, it will be interesting to see if he can defend well with the striking of his opponent who is very active with his striking.

MMA Analysts sees 2 fighters with contrasting styles but is slightly picking Wesley to continue his impressive run for a 3-0 w/l card.

Kevin James saw his unbeaten run stopped at 4 with a TKO (Cut) beating coming from Elliot Ness last Jan 22 in the 1st round at ONI 44. In that fight, Kevin battled gamely on his feet, exchanging some brutal strikes with one of ONI's best, but Elliot's relentless approach were just too much for Kevin to tasted a first in the loss column. Kevin though, is a relentless attacker and throws some heavy strikes in pounding his opponents most of the time, but his striking defense will once again be tested as he is up against another aggressive striker.

Jimmy Jones succumbed to his 2nd straight setback, coming short in a Unanimous Decision against Chu Young Park at ONI 44 last Jan 22. It was an exciting fight against Chu as the 2 warriors exchanges bombs after bombs towards each other. it was a close battle as both fighters connecting cleanly and not giving an inch against each other. In his last few fights, Jimmy has been struggling against aggressive fighters and it will test his striking defense anew in his upcoming battle.

MMA Experts knows this will be another exciting match, but is looking for Kevin to go back on track and move up with a 5-1 w/l record.

21yr old Wiang Kwai is back on the win column and eked out a Unanimous Decision victory over Omi Sakurai last Jan 22 at ONI 41. In that fight, Wiang got back to his usual self, an aggressive fighter who is looking to strike at will towards his opponent. Wiang is exciting to watch as he mixes his attacks with his punches and kicks, always looking to knock his opponent. One cause of concern is his takedown defense as he struggled in his fight against Kal Too who was able to bring him to the ground at will.

Jetsky Luckson fell to a KO (Punches) loss against Arashi Yamada last Jan 22 at ONI 41 in the 1st round. He had a hard time taking the fight to the ground as all attempts he did was thwarted to completely frustrate him. In return, Arashi had a field day with his striking, as he connected at will marching to an impressive victory. Jetsky will have to sort his striking defense out and work on that doubly hard as he is up against a fighter who is known to throw strikes in bunches. His ability to defend on feet and bring the fight to the mat will be crucial if he wants to get back on the win column.

MMA Experts if favoring Wiang Kwai to make full use of his striking ability to clinch another victory for a 7-5 w/l card.

Jason Duck is having trouble looking for win in his last 2 fights. His 2nd straight TKO (Strikes) loss in as many fights. In his last match against Hyun Kim last Jan 26, Jason needs to re-polish his striking since he has not been connecting with all his punches while struggling to defend with all the strikes coming from his opponents. As much as his striking defense needs to be improve, he may not need that much in his upcoming fight, but his takedown defense will be put on a spotlight, as he is set up against a ground figther. If he can show his takedown defense is up to par, then he should walk away with a victory.

Bruce Parker is riding high with a 2 fight winning streak. In his last match, he came out on top with a Submission (Guillotine) over Andrew Kishigawa last Jan 26 in the 1st round. In that fight, he showed some good defense on feet, and was able to bring the fight to the ground to work his magic. His takedowns will be instrumental once again if he is to have a shot against a noted striker in his upcoming fight.

MMA Analysts is slightly picking Jason to end his drought with a victory and improve to 9-3 w/l card.

Walter Suokuokka work his way towards the top with a KO (Punch) victory over Robert Marques last Jan 19 in the 1st round. In that fight, Walter needed less than a minute to punch his way to another W. He showed some good defense, avoiding kicks from Robert and cleanly connected at will for the KO. Coming in to this fight, he will have to work on his striking defense anew as he is set to face another striker.

Antonio Luis Leonardo is on a 2 fight winning streak and have worked an impressive TKO (Punches) victory in his last fight against Kana Takinoshi last Jan 19 in the 1st round. Antonio showed some very nice takedown defense completely shying away to bring the fight to the ground and aggressively shot his way to pounding his opponent. He must continue to focus and put on the same gameplan if he wants to come out on top in his next match.

MMA Experts sees a very close match, but is slightly picking Waltari to improve to an 8-3 w/l card.

Herbert Hombre battled his way to a tough Unanimous Decision victory over Sergei Olyanek in his ONI debut last Jan 26. He is on a 3 fight winning streak with the 1st 2 wins coming prior to arriving in ONI. In his last fight, Herbert showed how good his wrestling is, taking his opponent down at will. He was relentless with his ground and pound leaving his opponent on the defensive most of the time. His striking defense will be tested anew as he is up against an very good MT specialist, but his ability to take his opponent down will be crucial if he is to have a good chance of racking up another victory.

Chu Young Park outlast Jimmy Jones with a Unanimous Decision victory at ONI 41 last Jan 22. Chu is a very aggressive standup fighter and will have no hesitation to go for a knockout if his opponent gives an opening. In his past fights, Chu showed some very good takedown defense which could be a key factor in his upcoming fight. If he can show that ability to thwart his opponent's attempt to go to the mat once again, then he is on his way for his 3rd straight win.

MMA Analysts is having a hard time, picking in this fight, but will or may have to go with Chu eking out a close victory and improve to a 4-1 w/l card.

CO-MAIN EVENT

Imastar Roidereem continues to work his way to the top with a resounding TKO (Cut) victory over Top Dawg last Jan 5 in the 1st round. He is on a 2 fight winning streak. In his last match, he made short work of Top as he went for an early clinch and aggressively striking his way to the victory. Imastar is a very dangerous fighter once on the clinch and will have to rely on that once again in his upcoming fight. But this coming fight could be a tough one for Imastar as he is set to face a tough MT specialist. His last fight against a top MT fighter, 3 fights ago, showed some weaknesses in his game and he should work on those kinks. His striking defense should be well polished in this upcoming fight.

Peter Mueller will be making his much awaited debut at ONI and is keen on making a good impression in his upcoming fight. His last match outside ONI resulted in a loss via TKO (Strikes) last Jan 12 in the 1st round. He was outstrike by his opponent and failed to counter the aggressive of his opponent. Peter though is not new to throwing strikes in bunches and is well capable of dominating his opponent, but his last fight indicates that he should stay away from the clinch. If he can do that and impose his game on the outside, then this should be a good night for Peter.

MMA Experts expects fireworks in this match between two exciting strikers but is slightly favoring Peter to make good on his ONI debut for an 8-1 w/l card.

MAIN EVENT

Son Goku have made a living wreaking havoc and giving nightmares to his opponents. And that he continues to show in his last fight against Xavier Mendez in his ONI debut last Jan 1st at ONI 38 PPV, pulling off a KO (Punch) win in the 1st round. It seems that Son have not much of a weakness in his game right now, he has very good striking defense and takedown defense which leads to him going all out with his attacks on feet. He has the ability to throws strikes after strikes and will treat this match not differently. He sees his next match as ideal for him, as he goes up against another striker wherein he won't have to worry being taken down and should be interesting to see how much arsenal he plans to unload in this fight.

Abdullah Virtanen is on a 2 fight winning streak and will be making his ONI debut and is determined to make a good impression. Abdullah is no pushover, after a brief stint in Amsterdam and winning those fights and being one of the top fighters in his long stint in Helsinki proves that he has what it takes. In his last two fights, Abdullah is in his usual self, making short work on his opponents fully utilizing his striking abilities. No questioning that he can go toe-to-toe against top notch fighters but his ability to defend strikes could be in focus in his upcoming fight as he fall Pekka Topohanta 3 fights ago after being hit on the jaw. If he shows that his striking defense is topnotch, then expect Abdullah to make a good debut.

MMA Analysts, once again, expect fireworks between these 2 brutal modern day gladiators but is slightly favoring Son Goku to remain undefeated for his 10th victory against no defeat.

Benito Vasquez is wondering if Rodel Hiligaynon is going to give him a rematch?

ONI Fight Night Live 21

Hi ya fight fans this is Destroyer Of Worlds ONI/AJFC's greatest fighter/journalist of all time here to bring you whats up on the low down in the fastest-rising Org. in all of Tokyo...Osaka Niten Ichi! Now part of the ONI/AJFC business network, ONI is quickly taking over Tokyo by force, leaving all other Orgs. dazed and confused. We have an excellent night of fights for the fans to enjoy, so lets get right down to it!

-Preliminary Card-

Marcin Lewandowski v Edward Hoerk-

Marcin Lewandowski comes into this bout at 0-1, dropping a decision to Kasper Schmeichael in the first round of the bantamweight grand prix Tournament. Fresh blood in that division, Marcin looks to establish himself as a quality opponent or face being sent down to ONI or possibly retiring.

Edward Hoerk has an identical record also losing in the first round of the Bantamweight Tourny to Fuyuo Yamamoto by decision as well. These guys are pretty much identical on paper, all but their skillset.

While both are strikers Marcin is a boxer and Edward is a Muay Thai specialist. That is about all I can gather from the two of them so based on that I would say that Marcin's superior boxing should give him the tools he needs to win a decision over Edward, but Marcin will have trouble defending incoming kicks...Both men can win in this situation, it all depends on gameplan...You pick em

Tony Halme v Karl van der Rohen-

Tony Halme(7-4) is an ONI veteran who has seen his share of ups and downs. Dropping his first two fights, he went on a 5 fight win streak only to be cut short by upper echelon talent. Now losing his last two, Halme looks to improve his record using his great boxing. This man has never gone to a decision, having either KOed or been KOed in every outing.

Karl van der Rohen is on a 2 fight losing streak as well, dropping the ball against now champion Napieray via KO and his ONI debut to Ali Bo to cut stoppage. Karl seems to be a well-rounded fighter but is having trouble pulling the trigger.

I want to see Halme win but anything can happen when two fighters face eachother, both with their careers in a tailspin. Halme should avoid the strikes while delivering a KO in the far end of the second round, but you never know...

Kyuzo Shichinin v Karl Veneracion-

Shichini boast a decent record of 7-2 having seen all his action in the AJFC. Now he is ready for the big leagues and fierce talent of ONI. Once able to finish fights with his striking, Shichinin has been to a decision in most of his fight as of late. Shichinin needs to use his good stand-up to exploit weaknesses of his opponent.

Karl Veneration in an ONI vet who has shown mixed results here in the big show. 7-8 isn't a desirable record to sport, but make no mistake, this guy has 6 submissions under his purple belt and couldn't be finished by the former AJFC champion Peewee Herman. Karl will need to utilize his groundgame to take the win here.

I like to think the ground guy has the advantage in this situation, but can he get it to the ground before being beat up? I would say no, Shichinin has never been submitted and I don't think he will start now. Shichinin by decision.

Tupac Shaker v Mitchell Pearsen-

Tupac Shaker enjoys being mistaken for his hip-hop counterpart, but becomes furious when mothers refer to him as Two-Pack Shaker. Shaker is looking for his first ONI win losing via submission in both of his attempts at the winner's circle. Currently on a 2 fight losing streak, Shaker will need to employ his Muay Thai to find a win on this night.

Mitchell Pearsen is making his ONI debut with a short record of 1-0. A TKO in his professional debut has shown that Pearsen has excellent boxing ability, and we all know that the fight will start on its feet. Let's hope Pearsen has learned how to block and/or counter kicks and the clinch so he can use his boxing for a victory.

I would say that Mitchell Pearsen has the advantage in this bout, although still a "green" fighter, he does have what he needs on paper to take a win here...Pearsen by Tko early in the second round.

John Queen v Takaku Fuke-

John Queen has an impressive professional record of 9-2 and has only been finished by Champion Hiligaynon. Unable to finish fights himself, he does have pretty good boxing and a great ability to keep out of danger. Look for Queen to be hungry for a finish with his striking ability.

Takaku Fuke also has a problem finishing fights, but a win is a win as they say. Fuke boasts a somewhat undesirable record of 6-5, but is still above .500. He seems to be vulnerable to submissions, but I don't think this fight will go to the ground.

John queen by Decision

Noriaki Ueyama v Joe Bell-

Noriaki Ueyama has a record of 6-5 but has shown an improvement lately. His boxing is pretty good and his chin is also pretty good. He is at home on the feet and loves to exchange. Ueyama is looking to extend his win streak to two, but will need to show an ability to finish the fight against a game Bell.

Joe Bell may only be 3-1 professionally but he has never lost in an ONI event. Bell is a nicely-rounded fighter with pretty good Muay Thai and a purple belt. He can defend or produce offense wherever the fight goes, but has submitted to strikes before, something that is frowned upon by serious fighter. Bell will probably be looking to exploit his opponents chin. Bell has a great management team and can follow a gameplan to the tee.

I think Joe Bell's superior gameplan will prevail in this one via KO near the end of the first round.

-Main Card-

-King Dela Cruz v Nate Eleosida-

King Dela Cruz is 8-5 with most of his wins coming by decision. He is 1-0 in ONI but was finished due to cut stoppage by the dangerous Kenji Akiyama. Cruz does have some terrific wrestling and powerful takedowns, as well as purple belt level ju-jitsu to get the sub once on the ground. Cruz will need to be patient for the takedown and avoid being predictable.

Nate Eleosida is 4-3 coming into this fight, but has only been finish by current Champion Son Goku. He does have excellent wrestling and a purple belt, but has shown the ability to end the fight with strikes. Eleosida is an AJFC veteran who has been with the company since its inception, but is 2-1 in ONI. A crafty veteran, Eleosida has an edge in experience.

Look for Nate to finish this fight in the beginning of the second round possibly by cut stoppage...

-185lb. Title Fight-

-Crazy Smash Ya v Federico Lovalente-

Crazy Smash Ya is a true Champion who has not been beaten in ONI. He has finished fights against GSP and Ginger Mann and is truly at elite level in his division. Furthermore, Smash Ya has a stellar management team and can execute a gameplan flawlessly. With crushing boxing on his feet, and pretty good wrestling to keep it there, Smash Ya is a dominate fighter who deserves to wear the belt. He has held a title for BKC as well, and I don't think he wants to give this one up either, so look for Smash Ya to pour it on early.

Federico Lovalente is a tough competitor who has only ever lost to then AJFC Champion Joe Belanger. Number 14 on the ONI list of P4P fighters, he has fought his way to a 7-1 record with 4 wins by submission. He is a very well-rounded fighter who appears to be pretty good at everything. Solid striker, purple belt, pretty good Muay Thai and Wrestling are his tools and he uses them well. Making his ONI debut with a title shot, he did beat a great fighter in Jose Luis Cantero which makes him one of the most dangerous men in the division.

I think Lovalente's nerves will play a role in the outcome of this fight. First time in the big show and against the dominate Champion Smash Ya will surly factor into Lovalente's performance. Although he does have the tools to win the fight, does he have them in spades to topple the meatgrinder who is Crazy "Face" Smash Ya. I don't think so. While an extremely great fighter we have in Lovalente, Smash Ya is going to win by KO in the first 6 minutes of the first, he is also going to put the challenger on the injury reserve list for more than 10 days!

-Elliot Ness v Satoshi Ishii-

We last watched Elliot Ness battle when he dualed with Xavier Mendez, The holder of half the Heavyweight crown jewel, ONI's heavyweight title. He is a top fighter of the division and a very dangerous man. He was enjoying a 5 fight win streak following a tough decision loss to yours truly where he showed tremendous heart and the ability to take punishment while still being effective, and of course his loss to Mendez are the only recent blemishes on his record.

Ness is a very good striker who can mix up the punches and kicks to produce some lethal combinations. In addition to his skills, Ness has an excellent management team that will provide the exact gameplan needed to win on this night.

Satoshi Ishii is a fighter who has only ever been stopped by decision with a 6-2-1 record, drawing with the now retired Roy Nelson. Ishii has a good sense of control while on top, with four submission wins under his purple belt and tremendous strength that allows him to overpower opponents on the grouns. Ishii Submitted Richard Vargtass in only 40 seconds with a high-level triangle choke, but some say he lacks true wrestling ability to maximize his takedowns. Once on th ground though it can become an unhappy night for his opponents.

Ness has never been submitted and I don't think that night is going to be the magical night either. Althought Ishii Will probably land a few takedowns, he won't be able to keep the fight there and will eventually find himself a predictable foe. Ness will eventually get the KO win late in the second round. Ishii just doesn't have the wrestling to dominate with the tools he is working with nor the striking defense.

-155lb. Title Fight-

-Soral Punkass v Kal Too-

Soral Punkass is the 3 time lightweight Champion of ONI and one tough son of a bitch. He has shown that he is a very resilient warrior when he captured the Title for a third time and is now 3-1 in title fights. With 12 wins under his belt, Punkass has been with the company since ONI 2 and has dominated the point scoring system. A great chin and an excellent ability to get back to his feet, Punkass can KO anyone with his vicious head kicks and is good both in and out of the clinch. Excellent cardio and well-rounded skills made him a 3 time title-holder and a shoe-in for the ONI hall of fame someday, with slowing down not an option at this point.

Kal Too is the 3rd ranked fighter in this division. He comes in at a perfect 6-0 to face the Champion and has finished his opponents by all manners of victory, including a decision win over the tough Hyun Kim in his last outing. Too is an excellent wrestler with a purple belt who can really mix up the attack with his groundgame and his ability to control opponents. He is deserving of a title shot at this point in his career and is a force to be reckoned with no matter who his opponent is. Smothering fighters from the start of the match , he sets a pace that not many guys can keep up with.

I call it right now, the Champ will retain his title and we will not see an upset on this night. Soral Punkass is a legend and will be hard to take down and lets not forget, he is a purple belt himself. He will find himself on his back at times, but after a grinding battle, will be able to find his feet again and he will prove to be the better man by decision.

Well thats how I have it in my book, and thats how it will go down. Some fighters will find Bill and Ted's Excellent Adventure, while others will only partake in their Bogus Journey. A most excellent night of fights for the fans, ONI is proving to be THe org. of Tokyo and with recent events that left one of the top orgs defunct, and another under new management, ONI is in a position to dominate after the anniversary PPV. Be good to each other aaaand PARTY ON DUDES! This is ONI/AJFC's greatest fighter/journalist of all time saying goodnight from the heart of Japan!

UNDERCARD

(135lb Bout)

Ryu Techu Jr is coming off a disappointing loss in his ONI debut last Feb 2 via a Unanimous Decision at the hands of Bobby Strickland. In that fight, Ryu showed that he still have a lot to work on as far as his striking defense is concerned as he was outgunned figuratively and literally by his opponent all throughout the fight. He tried to negate the disadvantage and beating he is getting on his feet and tried to bring the fight to the ground but Bobby showed some very solid takedown defense to completely frustrate Ryu.

Bryce Mizarian is another youngster who suffered its first MMA and ONI loss with a Submission (Arm Triangle) last Feb 2 versus Cole Tessier. In that fight, Cole completely took away the only advantage of Bryce, that is striking on its feet, by bringing the fight to the ground early. Bryce will have to improve his takedown defense and ground defense bigtime if he wants to fully utilize his striking skills.

This is expected to be a very close match between 2 very young warriors eager to get their first career win, but MMA Experts slightly picks Bryce to come out with a victory for a 1-1 w/l record.

(135lb Bout)

Bobby Strickland, showed a lot of potential in his first MMA fight in his ONI debut by bombarding Ryu Techu Jr last Feb 2. In that fight, Bobby showed his ability to be very aggressive and the ability to throw strikes at a very fast pace, easily overwhelming his opponent who was forced to stay on the defensive all night long. If Bobby shows the same kind of aggressiveness and further improve his takedown defense, then another W is sure to come.

18yr old Charles Montgamery Punk will be making his first MMA career fight and his ONI debut. Not much is known of this young fighter except that he is believe to be a very solid striker and is a product of a great camp. This Chicago, USA native will have his hands full though as his striking defense will be tested tremendously if we based his opponent's performance 1st fight.

Bobby is coming in to the fight with a lot of momentum and MMA Experts believe that his impressive performance in his 1st fight is not a 1 time wonder, he is favored to pick his 2nd win in a row.

(185lb Bout)

Rady Remigio is getting his confidence back, after breaking out of a 4 fight slump with a victory over Yakin Yakin Sanjamoto last Jan 29 via a Unanimous Decision. In that fight, Rady were able to show a lot of improvement on his takedown skills and battled almost evenly with Yakin on the ground. But his aggressiveness on the ground made the big difference as he tried to put his opponent almost on the defensive on the ground, while showing some decent ground defense as well. Rady knows that his ability to bring his opponent to the ground is a big key if he wants to get another victory and he is determined to prove it.

Krejzi Madafaka is coming of a disappointing Unanimous Decision loss against Alvin Theodore last Jan 22 at ONI 41. In that fight, Krejzi wasn't able to get his game going as he struggled to bring the fight to the ground. On the other hand, Alvin showed a lot of aggressiveness as he strike at will, scoring mostly with his kicks. Coming in to this fight, Krejzi may not need his striking defense that much, but his takedowns and takedown defense will be put on the spotlight as he battles another ground fighter.

MMA Analysts sees an interesting match, but is slightly picking Rady to make another followup win for a 7-6 w/l card.

(145lb Bout)

26yr old Breque is having the time of his life as he successfully nailed his 3rd straight win last Jan 29 at ONI 42 via a Submission (Armbar) over Tupac Shaker in the 1st round. In that fight, Breque showed tremedous takedown ability as he imposed his game early bringing the fight to the ground, from there, Breque just continued to stay active til a chance to finish the fight with a nasty submission. His ability to bring the fight to the ground and his persistence to look for his takedowns is working wonders for this tough warrior and is looking forward for another W.

Kamaneto Funaki is coming off a losing effort against Kong Su Han via a Unanimous Decision last Jan 29. In that fight, Kamaneto struggled bigtime bringing the fight to the ground, and was put on the defensive by a very much aggressive striker in Kong. Kamaneto will have to work on his overall wrestling skills as he may have a difficult time in handling a very solid fighter who makes a living on the ground.

MMA Experts is looking at an almost 2 identical type of fighter, but is looking at Breque to continue to roll and improve to a 4-1 w/l card.

(170lb Bout)

Veteran of the game, Shingo Takeda loss in his ONI debut last Feb 5 at ONI 43 in the 2nd round against Kanbei Shimada via Submission (Armbar). In that fight, Shingo was a bit tentative with his striking and wasn't as aggressive as he needed to be. Though he showed some decent striking defense, his inability to defend on the ground overall spelled his downfall. He was grounded and pounded on the ground and was submitted after a couple of tries. He also showed a decent takedown defense, but will have to improve further on that aspect coming in to this fight.

Gabriel Rodrigues was impressive in his ONI debut by submitting Tomas Fonacier via Kimura at ONI 43 last Feb 5 in the 2nd round. In that fight, Gabriel showed his ability to excel on feet or on ground. He was able score well with his striking, but his ability to bring the fight to the ground and be relentless as well on the ground with his ground and pound was way too handy in softening his opponent up to setup a very nice submission. If Gabriel continues to perform this way, then Gabriel may well be on his way to his 10th win.

MMA Analysts sees a tough match between to veteran warriors but is picking Gabriel to come out the victor and improve to 10-4 w/l record.

(145lb Bout)

Former 145lb champ Nelio Dos Santos continues to work his way back to the top, but is now on a 2 fight losing streak, the last was a Unanimous Decision loss at the hands of Gary White last Jan 29 at ONI 42 in a title fight. In that fight, Nelio displayed very poor takedown as he had a hard time bringing the fight to the ground where he is most comfortable. It was a tough fight as Gary was able to exploit a big advantage in the clinch. His striking defense will be put to test as well as his takedown skills and will have to improve on those bigtime to pull another victory.

Kong Su Han is riding high on a 3 fight winning streak. His latest conquest was a Unanimous Decision victory over Kamaneto Funaki last Jan 29. In that fight, Kong showed his domination with a masterful display of his MT skills. He made a killing, scoring with his elbows and knees on the inside. His ability to thwart his opponent's attempt to bring the fight to the ground was a big factor as well in the said victory. If he continues to impose his game the way he did in his last fight, then expect Kong to continue to rise.

MMA Analysts are keen on picking Kong Su Han to come out the victor and improve to 6-3-1 w/l/d card.

(135lb Bout)

26yr old Jonny Weasley will be making his ONI debut and is coming off a 2 fight winning streak, the last was a Submission (Arm Triangle) victory last Jan 12 in the 1st round prior to coming to ONI. This very dangerous submission specialist is a very aggressive fighter always looking to bring the fight to the ground. In his last fight, Jonny didn't waste time as he went for an early takedown and continues to look for an opening, til he was able to secure and lock a nasty submission for the win. With most wins coming via submissions, expect Jonny to continue looking for those takedowns and work his magic on the ground in his upcoming fight.

Squat Kojacks continues to wreak havoc since coming to ONI and is on a 5 fight winning streak (2 in ONI) dating back to his former org. His last match was a Unanimous Decision victory over Kinjo Sasake last Jan 26. In that fight, Squat were able to do enough damage on his feet while doing a very good job defensively on the ground on any attempts of his opponent to end the fight. Though he possess some very good takedown defensive skills, a need to further improve on that aspect might be handy in his upcoming fight.

MMA Analysts sees a tough fight coming between these 2 gladiators, but is slightly picking Squat to improve to a 10-3 w/l card.

(170lb Bout)

Another veteran warrior will be making his ONI debut is Eric Cartman and is coming of an impressive victory via TKO (Cut) last Dec 6 in the 1st round prior to jumping here at ONI. In that fight, Eric showed the way and impose his game by bringing in the fight to the ground against a fellow ground fighter. But Eric was too dominant that he was able to jump on the gun right away and continuesly scored with his ground and pound while showing some good ground defense enroute to the victory.

Submission specialist Jay Roc saw his 3 fight winning streak snapped with a KO (Punches) loss in a Welterweight title match against defending champ Matt Heizel last Jan 1 in the 1st round. In that fight, Jay was able to bring the fight to the ground several times but just can't finish the job as Matt showed some very solid ground defense. But it was a different story on their feet, as Jay had a hard time defending from the onslaught Matt have unloaded scoring cleanly with his striking to retain the title. Jay must get back to the form that led him to 3 straight victories to get back on the win column.

This is a very tough match to gauge, MMA Analysts is having a hard time picking between this 2 fighters, but is very slightly picking Eric to come out the victor for an 8-2 w/l record.

CO-MAIN EVENT

(Featherweight Title Fight)

(145lb Title Bout)

Defending Champ Gary White have been unstoppable since he set foot in ONI and have no plans in stopping as he worked on is 7th straight win with a victory over Nelio Dos Santos. In that fight, Gary showed how to deal with ground fighters, as he displayed some very good takedown defense and ground defense. He was then able to impose his game by dominating once on the clinch, scoring at will with his punches on the inside. The good news for Gary is he don't want to stop winning, the bad news for his opponent is he is still improving.

Challenger Tommy Cottero may have only 4 fights in his resume but is not lacking in skills to have a shot at the title. Tommy will be making his ONI debut but is coming off a TKO (Strikes) victory in his last fight prior to coming to ONI and crowned himself the 155lb Champ last Jan 10 in the 1st round. In that fight, Tommy engage in a striking battle much to his liking. He was aggressive on his feet and was dominant in clinch to power his way to the victory.

Tommy Cottero may be just what the doctor ordered against a seemingly unstoppable Gary White, but MMA Experts tends to disagree and is favoring the defending champ to retain his title and improve to a 12-1 w/l card.

MAIN EVENT

(Lightweight Title Fight)

(205lb Title Bout)

Another Champ putting his title on the line is Joshua Azamora who successfully retained his title in his last fight and is on a 6 fight winning streak. He came out on top via a Unanimous Decision in his fight against Sidney Crosby last Jan 19 in his 2nd title defense. In that fight, Joshua was in a tough battle, though he was able to dominate the fight on the feet, scoring at will with his punches and kicks but he struggled defensively on the ground, had a hard time defending the ground and pound of Sidney. In the end his overwhelming advantage on striking led his way to victory. It will be the 2nd time he will meet Kenji, in this 3rd title defense and rematch, Joshua should continue to improve his deadly striking and stay aggressive if he wants to repeat over Kenji and retain the title.

Challenger Kenji Akiyama will have another shot at the coveted title and his dominating TKO (Cut) victory over King Dela Cruz last Feb 2 in the 1st round will be a good warmup as he heads to the rematch. In his last match, Kenji made short work of his opponent, coming out ablaze as he pummeled his opponent on distance and on clinch for the big win. His 1st match against Joshua 2 fights ago in Kenji's resume is still very fresh on his mind and will be coming off better prepared come fight time.

Should be a very exciting striking battle is expected to come out between these 2 fighters, but MMA Analysts is slightly picking Joshua retaining his title at the end of the fight.

UNDERCARD

(135lb Bout)

Charles Montgamery Punk is coming off a disappointing debut as he was dominated by Bobby Strickland last Feb 19 via Unanimous Decision. In that fight, Charles was just overwhelmed by the onslaught that Bobby gave, scoring at will on the outside mostly on punches. Charles tried to match the intensity of his opponent, but just can't seem to connect that led to his downfall. Still a lot of work to do for this youngster and we will see how much he has improved in such a short time.

Krayzie Junior is another youngster who failed to impress in his debut fight falling to a Unanimous Decision to Richard Griffin last Feb 16. In that fight, Krayzie showed the willingness to mix it up on striking but the big upside in his game is his takedowns as he was able to bring the fight to the ground anytime he wants. Though very active on ground, he will still have work to do and improve in order to impose himself. He showed some good striking defense but his opponent's aggressiveness prove to be the key in getting the win.

MMA Analysts sees an exciting match between these 2 young warriors but sees Krayzie getting a slight edge for a 1-1 w/l card.

(170lb Bout)

Submission specialist Tomas Fonacier succumbed to his 4th straight loss, the last at the hands of Gabriel Roderigues via Submission (Kimura) at ONI 43 last Feb 5 in the 2nd round. In that fight, Tomas were simply outworked by a much better opponent. Gabriel had the edge on the striking department, but was dominant on the ground as well. Tomas will have to improve on his wrestling skills. He will have to improve his aggressiveness on the ground and his overall defense in order to get out of this slump.

Ran Sakamoto is a veteran of the game who will be making his ONI debut. He is coming off a loss as well via a Submission (Guillotine) last Jan 30 in the 1st round. In that fight, he was put on the defensive, as his opponent went for the early takedown. Ran tried to do a couple of submissions but was on the losing edge of his opponent's ground and pound to soften him up and finish with a beautiful submission.

MMA Experts interestingly looks a close fight will emerge between these 2 struggling veterans, but is slightly picking Tomas to get back on the winning track.

(205lb Bout)

Danny McNutty is another fight who will be making his ONI debut. He is coming off a TKO (Kicks and Punches) loss in the 1st round last Feb 18. In that fight, Danny struggled to bring the fight to the ground thus the need to improve his takedown skills a must. On the other hand, his opponent had a field day, connecting almost at will as he hands Danny his 1st career loss.

Christian Wesley was able to snap his 3 fight losing streak with a KO (Punches) victory over Jay Yap at ONI 40 last Jan 15 in the 1st round. In that fight, Christian wasted no time as he rushed to his opponent to impose his game. He was able to open up a cut on Jay and put his opponent on the defensive enroute to the dominant finish.

MMA Experts is favoring heavily Christian to continue to rise and improve to 4-3 w/l card.

(265+lb Bout)

Showing a lot of potential is Sigmund Bjorn will be making his ONI debut and have won his last fight prior to coming to ONI via TKO (Cut) last Jan 16 in the 1st round. In that fight, Sigmund rushes early and gets an early takedown, he went to work early and pummeled his opponent on the ground inflicting cut on his opponent and making it worse as fight wears on forcing the doctors to stop the fight in his favor.

Mr Heisenberg suffered a disappointing loss at the hands of Milk Fish via Submission (Guillotine) in his last fight last Feb 9 in the 2nd round. In that fight, Heisenberg is clearly winning the fight scoring a couple of takedowns and was punishing Milk with his heavy ground and pound and occassional attempts of submissions. But Milk's composure inspite being in trouble paid off as he saw an opening forcing Heisenberg to tap with a nice submission.

It will be a very good fight between these 2 wrestlers, but MMA Experts is picking Heisenberg to come out on top for a 5-3 w/l record.

(145lb Bout)

Wesley Sneijder came from behind to preserve his unbeaten run with a TKO(Punches) victory over Cross Lindland last Feb 12 in the 1st round at ONI 44. In that fight, Wesley were having trouble stuffing his opponents takedowns as he was repeatedly brought to the ground. He was getting the edge on his feet with his striking but was held ineffective on the ground. Last the fight was brought back on their feet, Wesley made sure that he will come out firing and was able to set up 2 big right to end the fight in his favor.

Former Champ Anderson Edgar have been struggling to find his form since losing the title he once held to Kamaneto Funaki. Currently he is on a 2 fight losing streak, the last versus Chris Poirier via TKO (Punches) at ONI 43 last Feb 5 in the 2nd round. In that fight, Anderson struggled heavily with his takedowns as he failed to bring the fight to the ground. He tried to match his opponent's striking and though he showed some good striking defense, his opponent's aggressiveness and persistence were just too much as he got hit several times for a disappointing loss.

MMA Analysts sees a good match in this one, but is seeing Anderson's experience to be the factor and improve to 10-6 w/l card.

(265lb Bout)

Chu Young Park is making a big noise in the 265lb division and is now on a 3 fight winning streak. His last victory came at the expense of Herbert Hombre via a KO(Headkick) victory last Feb 12 in the 1st round at ONI 44. In that fight, Herbert were able to bring the fight to the ground but wasn't able to do much and Chu got on top and decided to bring the fight back on the ground. Once on their feet, Chu wasted no time as he work on his attacks scoring heavily with his kicks, the last one sends his opponent to sleep.

Brett Reznar made an impressive ONI debut eking out a Unanimous Decision victory over Oni Black last Feb 9. In that fight, both fighters figured in a standup brawl but Brett's outstanding striking continued to find his target scoring well on the distance and on the clinch enroute to a one-sided victory.

In a battle between two excellent strikers, MMA Analysts is having a hard time picking, but is slightly favoring Brett with his experience to prevail for a 16-6 w/l card.

(155lb Bout)

Peewee Herman announces his arrival in the ONI 155lb division by eking out a Unanimous Decision over Karl Veneracion at ONI 43 last Feb 5. In that fight, Peewee showed some tremendous takedown defensive skills repeatedly thwarting almost all attempts by Karl. Peewee could have been more aggressive by throwing a couple more strikes but is having a very high percentage of strikes that is connecting and was enough to secure the fight in his favor.

Wiang Kwai zoomed his way to a 2 fight winning streak, the last was a Unanimous Decision victory over Jetsky Luckson last Feb 12. In that fight, Wiang stuffs a couple of takedown attempts by Jetsky and was very aggressive throwing one strikes after another. He is also mixing his attacks with some kicks to completely dominate his opponent.

Impressive as what Peewee's records show, MMA Analysts is keen on picking Wiang Kwai because of his very aggressive nature and improve to an 8-5 w/l card.

(170lb Bout)

Truck the Icepick is coming off a disappointing setback in a title fight with a KO (Punches) loss against Matt Heizel last Feb 5 in the 1st round. It was the 2nd time Truck failed to solve the Heizel puzzle. In his last fight, Truck had a hard time connecting with his punches and was waylaid by Matt who continuesly bombarded hims with punches and kicks enroute to the KO finish.

Kanbei Shimada made a rousing ONI debut as he nailed a Submission (Armbar) victory over Shingo Takeda last Feb 5 in the 2nd round at ONI 43. In that fight, Kanbei showed some decent striking defense not allowing Shingo to make a headway. Kanbei was having difficulty connecting with his strikes as well, but it was a different story once on the ground as he continuesly pummeled his opponent with some solid ground and pound softening his opponent to setup a nasty submission.

MMA Experts sees a very tough match, but is very slightly favoring Kanbei to pull this one out for a 9-5 w/l card.

CO-MAIN EVENT

(185lb Bout)

Jose Luis Cantero will be making his ONI debut. Jose though is on a 2 fight losing streak prior to coming to ONI, the last was a Unanimous Decision loss last Jan 31. In that fight, he had a hard time bringing the fight to the ground but in times where he was able to secure a takedown, he wasn't able to do much damage to gain any headway. On their feet, Jose needs to improve his striking defense as he got on the losing end of the striking battle with his opponent's punches and kicks.

Shuuji Hanamoto will be making his ONI debut and is riding high on a 3 fight winning streak before coming to ONI, the last was a TKO (Strikes) victory last Feb 9 in the 1st round. In that fight, Shuuji showed his excellent wrestling skills going for the early takedown and was unrelentless with his ground and pound towards and big finish. He needs to maintain that aggression coming in to this fight and dictate the tempo of the fight and bring it to the mat so he can fully utilize his deadly striking on the ground.

MMA Experts is favoring Shuuji to get this one for an 8-4 w/l record.

MAIN EVENT

(185lb Bout)

One of 185lb ONI top fighters George St Pierre is coming off a big win over former champ Ginger Mann via a Submission (Armbar) last Feb 9 in the 2nd round. In that fight, was able to bring the fight to the ground a couple of times, negating any advantage his opponent have on feet. On the ground though, George, though needing to improve his ground and pound was very active, keeping busy with a lot of submission attempts to finally lock it in in the early part of the 2nd round. If he continues to be aggressive and bring the fight to the ground early, then it will be a long night for his opponent.

Veteran Van Wilder will be bringing in his experience as he makes his ONI debut. Van is coming off from a disappointing loss in his last match, suffering a KO (Punch) loss in the 3rd round last Jan 29. In that fight, Van needs to improve his efficiency with his striking while also needing to improve his striking defense as he got dominated with kicks. In his upcoming fight, those striking defense can take their rest as he goes up against a ground fighter, but his takedown defense will be put on the spotlight as he will need to thwart all attempts to bring the fight to the ground in order for him to have a chance of a victory.

MMA Experts is favoring George to continue to rise and improve to 10-3 w/l record.

ONI's Quintessential Managers Tourament Rd 3!

This is your man on the scene Destroyer of Worlds here to give you a peek at the latest great event from ONI. Round 3 in the quintessential managers tournament. Lets get straight to it!

Undercard

Leo Cristophe v Fuyuo Yamamoto

Cristophe is a great Muay Thai kickboxer who is also working on his boxing and wrestling. He won a decision against Cole Tessier in the second round of the tourney and now fonds himself in the semi-finals.

Yamamoto has the skills on the ground to get the job done, but can he make it long enough to take the fight there? Great wrestling and a blue belt are his credentials, but he is lacking in stand-up ability.

IMO Cristophe will get the KO before Yamamoto can take the fight to the ground. Cristophe KO round 1

Breque do Breleque v Pow Nagashimi

Breleque is a great submission fighter who seems to have enough stand-up defense to use his takedowns effectively. All 3 of his wins came in form of submission and he seems to have the heart and cardio to last as long as he needs to. Breleque needs to get it to the ground again if he wants to take home a win on this day.

Nagashimi is new in ONI and still seeking his first win. Great Muay Thai boxing is his strong point but his style seems to be a little one dimentional. Nagashimi will need to keep things on the feet if he wants to find his first ONI win.

This is a close on. I will say that if Breleque can counter with a takedown then the fight goes to him. Lets see what kind of gameplan he brings to the fight...Breleque by sub late in round one.

Richard Griffin v Anthony Wright

Griffin has great boxing and decent wrestling. He likes to sprawl and brawl and praise Allah with a Mike Tyson feel about him. Sorry, but there is not much else to say about this guy.

Wright likes to get things to the ground and wear his opponent down while looking for submissions.

Personally, I think Griffin takes the KO in round 2

Jason Duck v Jetsky Luckson

Duck is a pretty decent fighter with a record of 9-3. His great boxing and decent wrestling has seen him through to 3 wins in ONI, recently TKOing Bruce Parker in round 1.

Luckson in an ONI veteran who has tasted defeat more times than he would like. He is a ground specialist, but seems to get caught in submissions while on the ground. Let's hope he can turn things around

Duck by KO early in round 1

Chris Poirier v cross lindland

Poirier has lost only one time in his career. 5 wins by KO and excellent boxing make him hard to deal with for any middle of the road fighter in ONI. When he puts him hands on you, you go to sleep. It's like the man keeps Nyquil in his gloves.

Lindland is a veteran who has seen more losses than wins in his career. Noone is sure how he can be around for so many fights, but fail to increase his skillset. His purple belt is high level, but he has trouble getting the fight to the ground and locking in a sub.

Poirier by KO murder round 2

Imastar Roidereem v John Batista

Roidereem is a decently well rounded fighter who has had some success in his career. Always providing excitement to onlookers, you can rest assured he will put on a great show for us all. He has posted some serious pre-fight talk coming into this re-match and hopes to back it up come fight night.

Batista is mostly a wrestler and hasn't really honed his skills in any other area. Maybe he thinks this is the WWE and he can flex his way to a win, but this is MMA and he really needs to work on other areas if he wants to find success. He did lose via KO to Roidereem in their first meeting.

Roidereem by KO round 1 AGAIN!

Main Card

Grigoriy Rasputin v Jimmy Jones

Rasputin comes into this fight at 5-2 with most of his wins coming via submission. Making his ONI debut, he is looking to start over after a title shot loss back in his SFC days. Rasputin is reasonablly well rounded, but finds his strength in BJJ with a purple belt. He will be looking to get this fight to the ground and wear his opponent down while looking for a submission.

Jones has fought all of his professional fights in ONI, but boasts a record of 4-3. 3 of his 4 wins have come by way of knockout, and he has never been finished. This man has excellent hands and boxing, but finds himself in deep waters when facing some of the upper tier competition.

Jones by decision

Donnie Brasco v Waltari Suokuokka

Donnie Brasco is the former AJFC light-heavyweight champion and a seriously scary fighter. He is making his ONI debut trying to get back on track to a title. He has seen plenty of action in his career with a record of 11-5 and he has enough experience to feel comfortable against anyone he fights. Most of his wins have come via decision, but he is always working to finish the fight decisively.

Waltari Suokuokka is an ONI veteran and a top contender in the division. The former ONI champion has fought for the company since ONI 9 and is always looking to get another title shot. With his quick hands and his great cardio, he finds a way to wear down his opponents and score a victory no matter what style he is facing. Ready for a war at all times, I expect this to be fight of the night and a major stand-up battle.

Tough one to judge. Brasco has been a great fighter and shown great ability, but now an ONI fighter, can he still stack up against the stiffer competition? I think so...Brasco by decision

Co-Main Event

Kevin Smith v Heihachi Hayashida

Kevin Smith is a great striker who is 6-1 and has only lost to our champion Punkass. With all of his wins coming via vicious knockout, he can push your button anytime his hands find your face. Good defense makes him elusive enough for his opponents to over-extend themselves while chasing him and find the canvas very quickly. He has never been finished even by champion Punkass who out scored Smith, but could not stop him. Look for big leather to be thrown in this one.

Heihachi Hayashida is a very talented ju jitsu specialist who has recently began to round out his skillset. At 7-3 he has beat some tough competition and earned a title shot back in the AJFC, which ended in a NC due to Bushido Brown's failure to show up for the event. Now in ONI, he is looking to continue his success and position himself for a potential title run.

Smith is a great striker with stopping power, but Hayashida has overcome fighters of his skillset before when he won a split decision against Zari Yasuda. I personally know Yasuda's skill level and it was quite a feat to win that fight. I see Hayashida taking a decision in this fight.

Main Event

Superheavyweight title fight

Tommy The Poodle v Peter Mueller

Tommy "Fatboy" The Poodle must have became weary of people calling him "fatboy" and decided to do something about it with 14 wins and all but one coming in form of a KO. He is out ONI superheavyweight champion, recently taking the title away from Napieray where he punished the champion and forced the ref to stop the fight in only the first 4 minutes. A very dangerous striker, he has the boxing and muay thai to beat the snot out of anyone in this division, and the wrestling to keep the fight on the feet. Look for the champion to pour on the heat early and strike hard and often.

Peter Mueller is making his second appearance in ONI after beating Imastar Roidereem in his first outing via KO in 2:02 of the first round. Also a vicious striker in his own right, some say he lacks the wrestling to fend off takedown attempts, but he should not have to worry about that in this confrontation. Mueller did earn himself a title shot prior to coming to ONI, but the competition here is much different.

Personally I think that "Fatboy" is going to outclass Mueller in this fight, and a short fight it will be. The Poodle by KO early in the first.

Well there you have it folks, thats how its going down in my book, and my book is the only one I read. This is Destroyer of Worlds here bringing you whats up on the lowdown....PEACE!
