EFC 79: Made vs Valentine

Taylor "2 beat your ass" Made vs. Alexander "Mr. Right" Valentine

Middleweight title is on the line in this great main event of the EFC 79. Current Champion, the 28 year old Taylor Made is known for being very fast and an excellent all-rounder. He’s also the owner of a Brown belt in BJJ, but prefers to go for a KO. This time he’s about to meet a fighter with a very similar style. Undefeated in EFC, Alexander Valentine is only a 21 year old who is a very strong athlete, already at the top of the game and is feeling very confident coming into main event challenging for the title a more experienced fighter. Maybe the reason is - He finished 8 of his opponents by a way of KO, TKO or Submission in the 1st round.

Leon Czolgosz vs. Huaka i "Nightmarcher" Po

Co-main event is also a title fight, this one in the Welterweight division. Already a Champion at 22, Leon Czolgosz is a solid striker with a top level ground game and will be defending his title for the first time. The challenger, Huaka i Po, on the other side is a top level striker with excellent hands and is mostly known for his big right hand. If he’ll be able to stuff the takedowns, he might get a finish in the standup. Interesting thing is that while both fighters have a strong wrestling background and are running some nice winning streaks, the main difference is that Leon Czolgosz is yet to be stopped as he has some serious chin and on the ground he has the advantage.

EFC Contenders: LHW Semi-Final

MAIN CARD

Manny "Pacman" Pacquiao vs. Mikhail "The Cleaner" Zakarova

Main event of the evening is in the Lightweight division. The current EFC Lightweight Champion, a 29 year old Manny Pacquiao (18-3) is coming of a loss. He’s known for some really heavy hands, he’s an excellent striker, both with hands and feet, but his main weapon for this fight might be his ground game. His opponent, 5 years younger, Mikhail Zakarova (14-1) is on a 5 fight win streak and has never been finished either by a way of KO, TKO or Sub. He is a top level striker with heavy hands and excellent kicks. On top of that he’s also very quick and a very strong athlete. Neither fighter will have a significant advantage in this fight, except maybe Pacquiao who’s a bit better grappler, but he never finished any of his opponents via Submission.

Patrick "The American Psycho" Bateman vs. "Johny Boy" John Esposito

It’s the co-main event in the Super Heavyweight division with a title on the line with both fighters being the knockout artists. Current title holder, Patrick Bateman (15-5) is a 24 years old and skill vise he’s a bit more rounded than his next challenger. He finished 11 of his opponents by KO and 8 of those came in the very 1st round. He’s also a natural strong athlete with excellent cardio and always comes very confident into his fights. His opponent in this bout will be a hard hitting machine John Esposito (7-1). He’s at the age of 27 and this will be his first title match. John is a world class level boxer with brutal KO power, the numbers are here; 7 wins, 7 KOs, all in 1st round. He’s undefeated in the EFC and one loss he had came due to an unfortunate cut. This fight might over very quick, don’t blink!

Kara Hiri vs. Tony Soprano

The main Undercard bout will be in the Light Heavyweight division. It’s a very even matchup for both guys, not only skill vise, but also cause of the fact that both fighters are coming of a loss. This is the chance for one guy to get back on track. Kara Hiri (9-3) is a excellent boxer with heavy hands and is a very powerful guy. He’s mostly described as a typical brawler who goes out there to knock people’s heads off. Due to his aggressiveness, he scored 8 KOs in the past with 6 of those in the 1st round. His opponent on the other side is Tony Soprano (10-1-1), a very powerful guy too, but also very quick and with a solid chin. He’s a bit more technical and doesn’t like to go with crazy exchanges as his opponent.

"O-Fro" Owen Erskine vs. Mario "Elmundo" Turk

This fight is in the Light Heavyweight division, introducing first, a 28 year old Owen Erskine (12-6). He is a striker with huge power, always looking to stand and bang and is coming from a 4 fight win streak. And that’s very interesting thing about Owen is that he was coming very aggressive in his first 14 fights all ending with stoppages, but that also cost him 6 defeats. From the last time he was finished, he changed his approach quite a bit, being a more economical with his punches. The last 4 fights he won came due to Unanimous Decisions. But this time, he’ll be facing a fighter with a same game plan that’s also perhaps a better striker. With the score 13-5 in his professional career and also a 28 year old, Mario Turk is a top level boxer that scored 10 KOs in the past, all coming from his fists and knees. He also has a granite chin, so he might go in there confident enough just to swing for the finish.

"Ryder" Stryder Maloney vs. "Satch" Joe Satriani

In the Welterweight division we have a classic matchup between a grappler and a striker. 28, year old, Stryder Maloney (10-3) is very solid on the feet, a very strong athlete with good kicks and knees, but his main advantage in this fight will be his ground game. He’s the owner of Brown belt in BJJ and should be looking to get a finish with a Submission as he cuts pretty easily. On the other side, Joe Satriani (11-3) at the age of 25, is perhaps better in all other areas of the game and is an excellent Muay Thai practitioner. He will definitely go out there to score another KO; he finished 7 of his opponents so far and he wants more.

Daniel "¥Anuß¡š¥" White vs. Tubby Hayes

2 Light Heavyweights that are coming of a wins are about to face each other in the octagon for the spot at the Finals. Daniel White (10-3) is excellent on his feet; he possesses top level punches and granite chin that let him down only once. He’s 27 and also had a huge weight cut to make this far. His opponent, Tubby Hayes (10-2-1) is only 22 and is by far superior wrestler and grappler. He’s a very strong guy and also has a good chin. But there’s an interesting fact that comes along with him, he always fights to a decision.

PRELIMINARY FIGHTS

"The Hawaiian Warriors" Jay Leno (5-1) vs. Wayburn "Highlander" Hilton (8-5)

Kevin "Dumangas" Jade (10-6) vs. "Quick" Rile Nokea (6-2-1)

"Cutty" Denis Wise (5-2) vs. James Penn (11-7)

Tommy My Chick Bad (4-2) vs. "The Techno Viking Fan" Wandell Griffin (9-8)

Charles Martel is calling out the winner of Chihuahua/Kipote for a chance to win his belt back! He's beaten Chihuahua before in one of the most lopsided beatdowns in EFC history, and he would like to give El another one. Should he fail to defend his title against Kipote Martel will settle for putting a beating on him!
