Beck
I will look into getting a writer as it seems it would be something nice to have for all the managers with the UFL.
Beck
http://i1238.photobucket.com/albums/ff495/UntouchGFX/205tourlogo_zpsa5c1c256.png In recent weeks we've been setting up a tournament for the 205lbs championship. The tournament will be with 8 fighters that have already agreed to participate. All the fighters were already signed to the UFL upon entering; this to keep it fair to the managers. The ID limit of the 205 division is 165K+; thus the tourney is as well. The winner of the tournament will receive $500.000 and will be crowned the new UFL 205lbs Champion! Runner up will receive $100.000 and looking for prices for all contestants at the moment. Match-maker of the tournament is Gabriel Darke with myself, John Hetfield assisting. Beck
The UFL will feature two Champion vs Champion fights in the near future. We will be focusing on the first fight in this little write up right here. These fights are huge for the company and of course the champions too. http://www.mmatycoon.com/gallery/24/24w19.jpg versus http://www.mmatycoon.com/gallery/22/22w16.jpg "The Real American" John Darby vs. "Hannibal" Leonardo Davinchi 170lbs Champion vs. 155lbs Champion At UFL 54, on January 26th , our 170lbs Champion John Darby will be taking on our 155lbs Champion Leonardo Davinchi. Both these fighters have defended their title twice since winning it. John Darby won the title at the same event where Leonardo Davinchi won his; UFL 38; Davinchi vs. McCall on the 17th of October 2012. Before they were champions, both fighters have had a great career already that led to Darby’s 10-2-0 record and Davinchi’s 9-0-0 record. Unlike Davinchi, Darby has been with the UFL since the start of his pro career as an MMA fighter. He made his debut at UFL 3: Here To Stay, beating Andrew Yelsky via Unanimous Decision. In his fighter after that, he got the first loss of his career against Vic Vantrell who later would win the 170lbs Championship. Darby didn’t let that loss bother him and won two fights in a row. In his 5th fight he once again would get a loss, this time against Abaka Khan, a fighter who had already challenged for the title prior to this fight and would again later in his career. Darby so far has only lost against two fighters that either won the title or got title fights and that certainly is not something to be ashamed about. After the Khan fight, Darby picked himself up and went on a 7 fight win streak where he even avenged his loss against Vic Vantrell, whom he beat via TKO (strikes). After that fight, Darby got his title shot against the dominant champion Chris Hartlock. Darby won via a Majority Decision that really could have gone either way. Darby kept the title since and is now lined up to fight Davinchi in a champion vs. champion fight. Davinchi started his career in New York, fighting for the Immortals fight org. Davinchi had an impressive debut where he finished his opponent via TKO (kick and punches). Davinchi would continue to show his dominance in the division continuing to finish his opponents in the first 4 fights of his career. In his fifth fight Davinchi got his first win via Unanimous Decision, something that would happen more often later in his career. The majority of the opponents that Davinchi had faced in his first 5 fights have by now retired from fighting while he went on and left Immortals to sign with UFL. He made his debut on UFL 33: McCall vs. Wade on September 15th 2012. He faced Josef Bergstrom; UFL’s very first 155lbs Champion. Davinchi won this fight impressively via KO (headkick). The win lead him to get a title fight against the champion Winston McCall, whom he beat via Unanimous Decision. Davinchi defended his title twice and won both times via Unanimous Decision, just like his opponent at UFL 54, John Darby. It will be interesting to see whom of these two fighters will win. Going into the fight, John Darby has as boxing and BJJ advantage, as where both fighters seem to be equal in wrestling. Leonardo Davinchi is known as a Muay Thai expert and no doubt he has the Muay Thai advantage in this fight. Time will tell which champion had the better skill set and tactic coming into this fight. Beck
The second champ vs. champ fight within the UFL! http://www.mmatycoon.com/gallery/32/32w13.jpg versus. http://www.mmatycoon.com/gallery/24/24b26.jpg Jameson "Guinness" Connemara vs. Friedrich "Buakaw" Bergfried 135lbs champion vs. 145 champion At UFL 56, on February 6th , our 135lbs Champion Jameson Connemara will be taking on our 145lbs Champion Friedrich Bergfried. Both fighters remain undefeated in their career and that alone is already a lot on the line for these men. With a fun occurrence it just so happens both men are 8-0-0. Connemara defended his title once and has had 6 fights so far with the UFL. Bergfriend defended his title twice and has had 5 fights with the UFL. Connemara started his career with a bang and won his debut match via TKO. He had one more fight that ended in similar fashion before signing with the UFL. His quick disposal of his opponnents in previous fight surely helped him to get noticed. He made an impressive debut with the league and finished his first opponent in the UFL via KO. He had a challenge against Lars Hegg with him he went to a decision and won. An impressive win over William Hatfield led him to get a title shot against David Vangaard and he beat the champion in the first round via TKO. In his first defense he would once again take on William Hatfield in a re-match, which he won once more via TKO. Bergriend started his career with TMMA and had early success, winning his first three fights with them via TKO. So when he became a free agent it is no surprise that the UFL picked up this dominating fighter for their 145 division. His debut came against Arturo Rey and he won that fight via Unanimous Decision. His next fight against Kip Morgan would end in KO in his favour, and that lead to him getting a title match against Vince Noir. The title match went to a very close Decision and it came as no surprise that Noir got his rematch against Noir not long after. The rematch ended once again in a decision and once again with Bergfried coming out on top. He then went to another decision in his last defense against Toshi Matoshin to remain the champion. These two champions are true warrior and there is no doubt that this will be an interesting fight! Connemara is a boxing specialist and has the edge there against Bergfried. Bergried however has specialised in Muay Thai and obviously is taking the edge there in the fight. It will be interesting to see which striking style is most superior in this fight as both men are equal in wrestling and BJJ. I can’t wait to see what happens!
Beck
http://www.mmatycoon.com/images/company/logo/hof/1365500831UFLHOF.png Untouchable Fight League Hall Of Fame Entries http://www.mmatycoon.com/gallery/41/41w20.jpg "Ice Cold" Chaly Kwidama (170541) Kwidama is a house hold name and no doubt the most favourite fighter in the UFL. He first fought with the company on UFL 10 and won his debut, losing his second fight which he later would avenge. Since the loss he went on a 12 fight win streak and 11 of those 12 fights were finishes via TKO/KO. Kwidama has faced the best of the best and no doubt will go down in the books as one of the greatest fighters that has set foot in the world of MMA. http://www.mmatycoon.com/gallery/30/30w19.jpg Kevin "Red Dragon" Krukowski (167622) Krukowski first fight goes back to August 2012, where he won his debut match with the org via TKO. It didn’t take him long to fight his way to a title shot and in his 3rd fight he faced the then champion, Johny Slicer. Krukowski won that fight and since then has won every single match, winning via TKO or KO each time with a total of 8 at this date, and made himself a fan favourite and a must see fighter. His outstanding performance got him the entry to the UFL Hall of Fame. http://www.mmatycoon.com/gallery/24/24b26.jpg Friedrich "Buakaw" Bergfried (176322) Bergfried first came to the UFL back in September 2012 and went off to start his UFL greatly. He got his title shot in his 3rd fight with the org and won it of then champion, Vince Noir, and beat him again in a rematch. He has won each title fight he has had and has not lost the belt since winning it. He has only lost 1 fight as of date against Jameson Connemara in a champ vs champ fight. Bergfried shows his class in each fight and proven to be a tough fighter for anyone that faces him. http://www.mmatycoon.com/gallery/1/1w2.jpg "Pretty Boy" Chris Hartlock (173764) Hartlock has fought with the UFL since the start of his career and appeared on the 2nd ever UFL event for the first time. He had 6 fights before getting a title shot. He went on to beat Vic Vantrell for the title and showed his dominance as grappled in his 2 title defences that followed. He lost the title to John Darby but fought his way back eventually, and won the title once more at UFL 67, becoming the first former champion ever with the UFL to win back a belt after losing it. http://www.mmatycoon.com/gallery/24/24w19.jpg "The Real American" John Darby (173780) Darby is another fighter who started his career with the UFL and went on to great success. He debuted at UFL 3 and won his first title at UFL 38. He went on to defend his title 2 more times and went on to face Davinchi in a champion vs champion fight that did not go his way. Darby has shown great class through out his career and has been in some of the best fights we’ve seen. He earned himself the Fight of the Night award 4 times and no doubt he will add a few more to that before retiring. http://www.mmatycoon.com/gallery/27/27w9.jpg Tony McDonald (190753) McDonald debuted with the UFL at UFL 39 and beat Damien ONeill via TKO. He went on to beat every single person he faced, including then champion, Max Fightmaster in a title fight. McDonald has since defended his title each and every time it was on the line and is riding on a 7 fight win streak. His future certainly looks bright and we have no doubt that McDonald will be known as one of the best Super Heavyweights to have ever fought in the world of MMA. http://www.mmatycoon.com/gallery/43/43w16.jpg "Capt'n" Jacques Hallow (183941) Hallow was one of the first Super Heavyweights to sign with the UFL and made his debut at Adrenaline 4 in June of 2012. His 2nd fight was for the new and still vacant 265+ Championship, a fight he won. He defended his title 3 times and became the most dominant fighter in the division. He lost the title against Fightmaster and after that, his career has been in a bit of a downward spiral. Hallow is not giving up and still giving his all against the best of the best in the UFL. http://www.mmatycoon.com/gallery/32/32w13.jpg Jameson "Guinness" Connemara (183015) Connemara is one of those guys you know has the x factor. He debuted at UFL 30, and he has shown how great he is as a fighter and got his 135lbs title shot at UFL 44, which he won via TKO. He defended his title once before moving up in weight in a champ vs champ fight against Friedrich Bergfried, a fight he won. Since then he has decided to stick to the 145lbs div. and will now face Bergfried for the 145lbs title, putting himself in a position to become the first ever double champion in the UFL http://www.mmatycoon.com/gallery/22/22w16.jpg "Hannibal" Leonardo Davinchi (168618) Davinchi came in with a lot hype when he signed with the UFL and it was no surprise he had a title fight in his 2nd fight with the org. He went on to win the fight, and defend his title on 2 occassions. He won a champ vs champ fight against John Darby, but eventually lost to Orkan Dogu in a fight at 170. Davinchi lost the title to Edmunt Dantes but certainly will do his best to fight his way back to another title shot. If someone can do it, he certainly can. Warwynd
http://www.mmatycoon.com/gallery/28/28w2.jpg Nigel Terry: There was never any doubt in my mind that if I didn't beat Sturmpreugel that he would become the champion. I predicted it and stated it quite loudly and proudly that the first round of this tournament would determine the whole deal. And I was obviously right. Congratulations, Roberto. A fine job, indeed, my good man
