Sly Guy:

So I was wondering if there is going to be any official preview for Today's event? Anyways this is how I see the event going, me looking straight up at Mr Wall, thinking how the fuck, do I knock the wall down. Then i'll probably get a bright idea like getting a ladder to climb upon so I can actually reach the guy's head, and knock him out. I could also fight dirty, and kick him in the balls, and that way his head would be a whole lot lower when he bends over in pain, but I ain't no Grim Reaper :P

WPR: TUF 3

David "IceColdFace" Lajic vs. Jon "The Protege" Stock

Our first fight of the evening features David Lajic a Muay Thai fighter and BJJ blue belt who had a run of tough luck in his first few bouts before finally popping his win cherry with a unanimous decision victory over Cain Diaz in his last fight. A close fight, in which he was rocked, cut twice and still managed to pull off a decision with his tight ground game. He will look to keep to his winning ways against Jon Stock. An all-rounder with better boxing and a blue belt. He’s coming off a win in his only fight after he shrugged off the submissions of a brown belt before pelting him with punches for 2 rounds. His submission defense looks solid and his takedown defense is also top quality so this fight will most likely take place on the feet. Lajic’s morale is looking terrible after his long losing streak even though he won his last fight and that will be the difference.

Prediction: Stock by decision

Thiago "the piece of shit" Leonardo vs. Chris "Grappler" Hines

Thiago Leonardo is another fighter who has had a very rough go of it, going getting knocked out in every fight in the first round despite his solid wrestling and blue belt. This is directly from his fighter bio “I hate this fighter more than I've hated any of my past fighters. When this tournament is completed I will take Thiago Leonardo out and treat him to a nice dinner, buy him a nice suit, and then shoot him in the back of the head and bury his remains in an unmarked grave. Yes I mad.”

Tough times. Chris Hines is PROBABLY not going to be able to KO Leonardo as he is, as hi nickname indicates, a grappler. He also posses solid wrestling and a blue belt but he does have a KO victory on his record and Leonardo has no chin whatsoever. If it hits the ground it could be a coin toss but chances are Leonardo goes to sleep again.

Prediction: Hines by KO

Marcos "Sertanejo" Dias vs. "Pouco Lobo" Renato Lita

Marcos Dias is a good boxer and BJJ blue belt who has yet to have a fight in his career. He trains out of the Rio Cross fit Academy, a respectable camp known for its conditioning and excellent sparring. The man he faces is Renato Lita a very similar fighter known for his excellent boxing and ground game. He is coming off a draw to Daniel Fighter, a fight which he dominated on the feet in between Fighter’s relentless takedown attempts. Lita has a slight edge in boxing and is more experienced so I think this one is his to lose.

Prediction: Lita by TKO

Ken "Musta" Fayol vs. Sergio Wayne

Our next fight features a WPR newcomer. Ken Fayol is the owner of some world class wrestling skills and a BJJ blue belt which he put to use in his only fight submitting his opponent by guillotine in just 3 minutes. He will look to put the rest of the field on notice and earn his second career win against Sergio Wayne. Wayne is a world class Muay Thai fighter but lost his only fight to Silva Bones at WPR: 7 by triangle choke. This doesn’t bode well for him Fayol is 5 times the wrestler Bones is and shouldn’t have any problem getting this to the ground and putting his ground skills to work against the pure striker.

Prediction: Fayol by submission

Roxa Gili vs. Jake Hesse

Roxa Gili is a boxer and BJJ blue belt coming off a loss to submission specialist Amauro Nogueira after their short scramble ended in a brutal knee bar. He will win this fight. Hesse is in Hilo right now at about 30% energy and still has to fly in to fight. He’s a punching bag and probably shouldn’t even bother showing up. Maybe a good ass beating will teach him to be a professional.

Prediction: Roxa by whatever he wants

Old Wisdom vs. John McDougall

Old Wisdom is a boxer entering into the first fight in his career he trains out of the Rio cross fit academy and will look to keep this fight on his feet and try to separate his opponent from his senses with his lightning quick hands. John McDougal is also a boxer but features world class wrestling and a blue belt to go along with it. He’s coming off a 38 second KO of Thiago Leonardo at WPR: TUF 3, in which he displayed world class hands when he feinted a body shot before left hooking Leonardo’s brains out. McDougal has a huge advantage on the ground and will probably look to utilize that here and if he does, it could be a short night for the scrappy newcomer.

Prediction: McDougal by submission

Ronan "Bubballoo" Nogueira vs. Cannondale "The Mountain" Trail

Ronan Nogueira has had a tough run through this tournament his skill set seems flawed from the ground up. He possesses a serious top class BJJ game but doesn’t seem to have the wrestling to actually get the fight to the ground. It makes for easy prey on the feet as all 3 of his previous opponents have discovered. He’s probably going to have another though night as he takes on undefeated Cannondale Trail. This man is a solid wrestler who brutal kicks have made short work of all his previous opponents, he’s looking like an early favorite to win the whole tournament. This one should be quick and relatively painful.

Prediction: Trail by KO

"Afrojack" Nick Wall vs. Sly Guy

Nick Wall is a solid overall fighter who can take the fight anywhere it may need to go. In his first fight he submitted Chris Hines off his back with a slick arm bar that earned him submission of the night honors at WPR: TUF 3.But he looks slightly overmatched in this fight as he faces off against Sly Guy. A Muay Thai wrecking machine and BJJ blue belt coming off a first round stoppage of Ronan Nogueira. He trains at Pros ya Knows gym with a slew of rising young talent and WPR standouts like Mr Invincible and Scottie Power. He looks stronger in every category and should be able to outclass his opponent wherever this fight might end up.

Prediction: Sly Guy by anything he wants

Peter McDonald vs. "Beowulf" Chili Parlma

Peter McDonald is a Boxer with a Brown belt in BJJ who is coming off a decision win over fellow brown belt Joey Reid. McDonald used crisp combinations and solid takedown defense to secure the win and will look to do the same here tonight. But that may be easier said than done against the odds on favorite to win the tournament, Chili Parlma. Parlma has been demolishing everyone in his way either with his lethal hands or dangerous ground game. He is also a solid wrestler and Muay Thai practitioner. Parlma is coming off a brutal 2 minute KO over Carlos Falcao in which he totally outclassed his opponent before shutting off the lights.

Prediction: Parlma by KO

Carlos Falcao vs. "The Fox" Don Diego

Carlos Falcao is coming of the aforementioned KO loss to Chili Parlma and will look to rebound here and put his blistering hands and solid ground game to work here and come away with the first win of his career. But things aren’t looking good for this young man as he is 0-3 since the tournament got underway 1 loss by KO, 1 by submission and 1 by decision. Once again his matchmaker and manager are doing him no favors (I think he really hates this kid). Don Diego is a Muay Thai fighter with good wrestling skills and a blue belt to round out his varied and dangerous arsenal. He tends to stick to the clinch to get his wins and is coming off a TKO victory over Abu Zayd. This is bad news for Falcao because he has absolutely no Muay Thai game and hasn’t showed any proficiency in the clinch. This one is going to look pretty one sided. Even though Falcao is better on the ground he really doesn’t have the wrestling to get it there.

Prediction: Falcao get even uglier

Yoshihiro Sexyama

"I just signed the contract to 185 lbs division. I came here to take 185 lbs belt and I will destroy everyone who step into my way to the title. I will have my debiout at 23-06, so get ready to see real fighter, for the first time in WPR's cage. I am fighting against one poor guy called Malik Cerzic or something. You're on my way to the title so I have to KO you! I can't wait when I would be able to fight against the champ. That dude, Christian have something that belongs to me!"
