Prefight interview with the CF: London LHW champion

Iso Kaato

Reporter: So I'm here with the CF: London light heavyweight champion Iso Kaato. How are you man?

Iso Kaato: I'm good man. I've been training hard & partying hard that's all I do man.

Reporter: So you have your first title defense this weekend. How has your training camp been for this fight?

Iso Kaato: It's been good man. I train in one of the best gyms in the world with elite coaches and training parnters who push me everyday to do my best. I've been training hard on every aspect of the game and I feel super good coming into this fight.

Reporter: So your opponent is submission the specialist Victor Vector. What are your thoughs about him?

Iso Kaato: I don't know too much about Victor. I know he is a good grappler but I've faced better grapplers than him before so I'm not too worried about him. I've just been concentrating on myself to become a better fighter every day. I do respect him though and I wanna apologize to him in advance that he has to be another stepping stone for me on my way to greatness.

Reporter: You're currently the highest ranked under 22 year old fighter in the world. How you feel about that? Does it add extra pressure for you?

Iso Kaato: It doesn't add any pressure. It's nice that I'm regarded as one of the top talents in the game, but I know I'm still young and have a lot to learn before I'm ready to enter the big leagues. I really don't let that stuff to get into my head. I just keep focusing on my training and hopefully someday I can become the best LHW in the world!

Reporter: Is there anything you want to say to your fans who are reading this?

Iso Kaato: Thanks for all your support! I'm doing this for you guys! Without your support I wouldn't be doing this!

Reporter: Thanks champ and good luck on you're fight!

Iso Kaato: Thanks!

Team Kaiser Amateur Access with Chip Mercer

We have just under eight days before the lightweight clash between young upstarts Larry Davis and Rod Cheney at Silent Fight Championship in Los Angeles.

Leading Los Angeles fight figures have given their verdicts for the bout:

Jason Sturd: Who the f*** is Larry Davis? Seriously!?? I have the biggest fight of my life against Taj al Din coming up and you point a microphone in my face, wanting me to answer questions about some QFC scrub? GTFO of here before I leave you gasping in a puddle of blood.

K Rad: Larry Davis takes this one hands down. Although, I'd appreciate it if you'll wait until after I've finished my candlelight dinner with Mannetosen before you ask me such trivialities.

Chris Karter: Moses Diggs by first round decapitation.

**Chris' secretary whispers in his ear**

Larry WHO? I'm sorry, but I don't watch bum fights. However, I would like to say "piss", "cherry picker" and "excellence". I do have a quota to fill after all.

Well, there you have it people -- general apathy and confusion are the only reactions we can garner when we ask fight fans about the impending Davis/Cheney showdown.

I'm Chip Mercer and I'll see you after the fight.

Atunes " yep, he is dreaming his 25 year old ass just got whipped, and I'm 17, Rad is a pussy."

hey don't too excited your project fighter has monster stats compared to K Rad.

.i am pretty sure most guys would have rejected such fight offer.

i'll destroy your artoro once my project guys get fully trained.

Arturo has Proficient (8) boxing, Remarkable (11) Muay Thai, Strong (9) wrestling and holds a blue belt in Brazilian Jiu Jitsu

K The has Useless (1) boxing, Wonderful (12) Muay Thai, Respectable (7) wrestling and holds a white belt in Brazilian Jiu Jitsu.

Atunes "Thats bullshit, how can I be a project fighter being 17 and fighting in a tourney and flying to Rio , 1st class on 2 days notice. Yeh man, I signed to fight you weeks ago and you pulled out, took another fight and then I get offered the fight Wednesday, jump a flight to Rio and starch your ass. You wanna know why you lost? Because you advertised all your strengths, saying hey I'm 110 this and i'm 110 that, and I aint getting taken down. All you did was tell me what you couldn't do, and my camp guessed you had no clinch game, I had one chance to win that fight, and that was counter into the clinch and fuck you up. So thanks for telling me your weaknesses, to enter a tourney and be thrown a 25 year old and win is awesome, even if the opponent is a dumb ass."

Gim Ruut gets an armbar victory on his 155 lbs debut!

Gim Ruut came back to Rio de Janeiro for the first time since TWD 49. He went on to capture the Eternal Rivals Bantamweight title in Tokyo and become a #10 Bantamweight in the world. After a stint in St. Petersburg, Ruut came back for his debut in Ascension Rio. He made his first fight at 155 lbs and faced then 7-0 Paul Vims. He managed to dominate his opponent and work the fight to the ground where after a few scrambles trying to submit him with a kneebar, Ruut got an armbar that closed the fight and got Vims his first defeat.

After the fight Ruut has something to say: What about that Rio? It's been a long time! Glad to be back here and can't wait for the next time. In the press conference, he was asked about his next step and Ruut was pretty straight forward: I've got some thoughts about what's next. I have many options. At 155 I can be quicker than some of my opponents and that could be an advantage. I feel that I can hang with the best out there. Those Swedish guys I fought [Malmsteem and Andersson] are weird. They're so small and that makes it a little bit harder but I was winning in a dominant way against Malmsteem until he caught me and the strategy was a bit different against Andersson. It did not work as well because of a few things I did wrong but I'm sure I can beat them. But I'm not sure if I'll stay here in Rio for a possible title fight or if I'll come back to NGF to get some revenges. I have a dream to fight in Ascension and I hope to be able to fulfill that. But there's one guy that is one of my first targets and the first on the revenge list: Borys Grabowski. I was winning the fight against him for the 145 lbs TWD belt way back ago. If it was a 3 round fight, I would have won until he caught me with a huge hand. Yeah, that was the only time I was really knocked out besides the Gajewski fight. Gajewski really has a hard hand but Grabowski caught me in a bad movement that helped the force of punch. Still I believe many of the stoppages I got, and 1 one them was because of a cut, we're quick stoppages. If they let me go a little longer I could do just what Frankie Edgar did in some of his fights. Have you seen what happens to him? That would happen to me if some judges helped me by letting the fight go on. Anyway, I'll hunt him down at 145 sooner than most people think. I'm a way better fighter than I was back then and he won't be able to defeat me this time. I'm ready for the next fights and it's been great. I'd like to thank my training partners and coaches at Dovik's camp and we're doing great out there. There's some great prospects coming soon. Thanks also to Kaiser for the sponsorship support and being part of their marketing Team Kaiser.

News regarding his future shall be announced in the near future.

A week late but here it comes :P

Mr. Cluzet defended his title against Dr John Zoidberg on the 21 - Cluzet vs Zoidberg event.

A tough fight and Zoidberg was well prepered for the champion and was able to win the first 2 rounds. In the 3rd round Cluzet got back in to the fight and executed his gameplan. With his wrestling he controlled his opponent in the clinch and softed him up against the cage. In the forth round it was all Cluzet and he showed Zoidberg why he is the champion and rocked him in the last minute. The fifth round Cluzet went for it and finished Zoidberg from the clinch with a big uppercut and once again proved that he is the rightful champion in the 170 lbs division.

Winner by way of TKO (Strikes). Omar Cluzet! (2:36 of round 5)

Omar Cluzet is now 6-0-0 and has defended the title 2 times.

Jari "Sporde" Porttila visited Jonas Putin to discuss Putin's upcoming title defense against the future hall of famer and 135 lbs champion,

Reginald Francis Colon.

Sporde: Galaxy FC 145 lbs Champion! I bet that feels good. You are defending your title against Colon, who comes up from 135 lbs to challenge you. Can you tell us how you feel about that fight?

Jonas Putin: He is true legend, and it's honor to me to fight against him. He is great example of a man who seeks challenges. He cleared out his own division and moved up to face me. You know, he is not like that snake, Benjamin Belleville, who ducks fights and leaves the organization to compete against bum's. Colon is true warrior.

Sporde: I have been told, that you have worked very hard your overall ground game. Was this your main focus in this training camp?

Jonas Putin: Yes, I have been known for being standup fighter, but my goal is to be great in every aspect of MMA. Reginald is definitely going to try to take this fight on the ground, so i want to make sure that i have advantage no matter where the fight goes.

Sporde: Obviously you are focusing for your next fight only, but if i can ask about your future, is there any plans to move back to lightweight division?

Jonas Putin: No, i feel healthy and happy at 145, so i don't miss 155 at all... but ofcourse, if there is something big like champ vs champ i definitely would be interested. But permanently? Probably not. I am pretty short guy so 145 is my weight class.

Sporde: I have been told, that there was some issues with your team and

Chris Garcia's team, as you guys share same gyms. Some fighting or what happened?

Jonas Putin: No, nothing like that. That fucker Chris Garcia didn't pay gym fees for almost 2 months or something shit like that, and when he got caught he started to blame our gym owners for lying and some shit. I don't know the details, you should ask my manager,

Vladimir Putin about that situation. But i am not surprised at all that this fucker Garcia is doing shit like that... I have to go now. Bye.

Sporde: Thank you!

As promised the big announcment about Hank McCoys next fight:

1st November, EFFA 33, Amsterdam,

EFFA Heavyweight Champion Hank McCoy takes on..... EFFA Light-Heavyweight Champion Jorge Pericic... In a 5 round openweight superfight... for the first EFFA world openweight championship belt. Whoever wins will be the first EFFA 2 weight class champion.

Both men are a perfect 7-0 within the promotion in their own weightclasses but this will settle who europes top kickboxer is.

With a combined streak of 17 wins, all 17 by (T)KO, 12 of which in the very first round, an extremely brutal finish seems on the cards.

Preview for next event with Mr. Cluzet.

Not the first time that Mr. Cluzet is considered the underdog despite he has defended the belt two times already, so it's time to make a statement for Mr. Cluzet.

His opponent Simon Harrison is a dangerous striker with a dangerous MT clinch and will try to keep the fight on the outside. But rumors says that Mr. Cluzet got a few tricks up his sleeve and will be ready to show the world the versatility of the champions skill set. This will be the toughest fight in the champions career.
