Interview with Olek "The Damned" Skilgannon (242713)

Interviewer - So, it's your big debut this Saturday. Any first night jitters?

OS - Well I would be lying if I said it wasn't the biggest arena I have fought in. I'm just making sure I'm in top shape. I've been hitting the gym pretty hard but camp is over now and I am itching to get started.

I - How do you think the big atmosphere will affect you?

OS - Luckily I was here last week with a stablemate. It really helped to get used to how things work here at Impact.

I - Any thoughts on your opponent?

OS - Joe Jimino? I haven't been able to study any tape of him as this is his first fight. I've been told by people down at his gym that he is a beast in training but stepping into the cage is a whole different prospect. There is no way I am taking this guy lightly but I hope he has practised eating and dressing himself left handed because I am looking to take his right arm home as a trophy.

I - Well that's all we need. Good luck on Saturday.

OS - Thanks, and a quick shout out to all the monsters training at Tycoon Gym.

Jeffrey "the jabba" Hughes : it is ridiculous to believe that kincaid has any chance of survival against me, i will put him on his back faster than a pornstar with a mortgage to pay. he wrestles like a 5 year old girl for heaven's sake i could hold him down and rape him if i wanted to, his jiu jitsu will do absolutely nothing for him,i mean you have to be pretty weird to want to hold a guy between your legs right?

Carlos De Souza Hey, Tyrone Woodley, you seem like a nice guy so I thought I'd do the decent thing and book you a ride home after our fight -

I dont want to scare you guys away from the org or anything but I am training to join this organization in a couple of months time when some of my fighters are ready to fight (265+ div). Its starting to look good, sign more fighters.

It's ok Castor, you won't scare any of the managers, they all know they get fair fights no matter who's in the org :)

I'm always on the look out to sign more fighters anyway, to make it a better place and to be able to offer lots of fights.

@HaydenMMA

I had a chance to sign with IMPACT, but no one at 205 had balls to fight me, so I was released from my contract. Sounds like NOW LHWs are talking about "never backing down from a fight". Seriously? #FunnyDucksAt205

Tweet from Marcus Hayden, recently released from his contract, after IMPACT owner said that no one was eager to fight him.

Sorry I had to let you go but it was me that cut your fighters as I didn't want them sat around as I didn't have any other 235k id project fighters for you to fight. The best fighter in the 205 division is a 240k id creation and it was me that decided it wasn't fair for them to fight you. I did apologise in the email I sent before I cut your fighters.

@Jake you better know what you're getting into once you sign that dotted line

Good luck if the fight happens. I always like to match vs active managers

Not your fault that guys at 205 write that they "never back down from a fight" but still my guy had to go because no one wanted to fight him :)

Not quite, I didn't think it would be a fair fight so never offered them, I was hoping to sign someone similar to your level but it was taking much longer than I hoped.

lol, true......but it will probably run smoother if they knew what you were talking about to start off with. They had no idea about Marcus Hayden.

Post fight interview with Olek "The Damned" Skilgannon (242713):

Interviewer: Congratulations on winning your debut fight for Impact. How does it feel?

Skilgannon - Relieved, I'm not gonna lie. I mean I know I'm good, I had faith in my skills and in my team, but until you step into the cage in a new organisation you never really know.

I - Any post fight thoughts on your opponent, Joe Jimino?

OS - Props to the guy definately. We didn't know what to expect as this is the guys debut, but after tonight I think he has a bright future here at Impact.

I - This is the first time you have gone the distance in a pro fight but you looked in great shape.

OS - Yeah I feel great. Like I said I've got a great camp behind me at Tycoon Gym, I train hard to go all 15 minutes every fight. It's just sometimes my opponents can't last that long. More proof how good my opponent was tonight.

I - So what is next for you? There is a tournament coming up for the first light heavyweight title, think you are in with a shot?

OS - Man I'll let my manager sort that out with Stu McIntyre. I just want to stay active, get back in front of those awesome fans again. I think I have got to be realistic though. I just beat a guy who was making his pro debut, so if Impact wants me to fight again, that's what I'll do. I never back down from a fight (That's right, I said it).

I - Ok, thanks for your time.
