What do I need to know about running a gym and how does the money aspect work? With a public gym you should be able to make some decent cash by hiring good coaches and keeping it tidy and clean. You can do as you wish with the profits as its your gym Private gyms are a bit harder as they tend to lose money unless you have funding somewhere.
