joelwest Posted October 12, 2014 Report Share Posted October 12, 2014 I just started a clothing store in London called "V-Mask Clothing + 90% laundry" I uploaded a design for shorts (bot - fists together) and a design for a tee shirt (top - shout). the shorts show the image next to the ordering section, but the tee shirt shows an entirely blank (white) image. no one is going to order a blank design the pair of shorts was a 160 x 115 jpg, the tee shirt was a 160 x 160 jpg the one that correctly shows the image was 16kb, the one that does not was 36kb in size. is there a limit on file size? if so why is this not listed on the product creation page? there is no image displayed before a clothing order is processed so having a blank or otherwise unsuitable image is a potential probelm every time anyone create a new design for a piece of clothing. do you really want to order just one copy of each new piece of clothing just to make sure a blank image does not appear?? one solution would be to first create a dummy piece of clothing then use the reorder page to actually order them, even if this is the first time they are being ordered. that way you will know up front if the image is missing or otherwise unsuitable this in contrast to the current method in which you order your first lot of a new type of clothes image unseen (until the money is already spent) another solution would be to show what the image will look like on the company sales page BEFORE the order is completed (and potentially useless product is created) note: I would have attached the 36kb file of the image that shows a blank, but I see no way to attach an image in this editor Link to comment Share on other sites More sharing options...

joelwest Posted November 15, 2014 Author Report Share Posted November 15, 2014 over a month has gone by and this bug has never been addressed. until it is I will keep just one non money laundering tee shirt and just one non money laundering pair of shorts. the other designs all remain blank images although they meet the guidelines in size for clothing. the only way currently to see if a valid image will turn out blank on the order page is actually run off some stock. to fix this bug there needs to be a two step process 1) trial image appears in stock as it will appear to public. if blank then it can be erased and another design tried. it would help if the root cause of blank images is found 2) a confirm box before the item is actually part of your back stock. this means a new item would go directly into the sold out area and it would no longer be necessary to actually run off a batch to confirm yet again that a blank image will not appear I make plenty of profit from money laundering but would like to offer game players more choice of cheap clothing product. how many more months will go by before this is no longer considered a "minor" bug?? PBR Posted November 17, 2014 Report Share Posted November 17, 2014 try renaming the file and upload again -- make sure something simple with no numbers or symbols in it's name -- for some reason it throws a kink in it if has symbols or numbers -- not always an issue but that is the issue most of the time -- sorry didnt notice the thread earlier to reply Link to comment Share on other sites More sharing options...
joelwest Posted November 19, 2014 Author Report Share Posted November 19, 2014 yeah, Cpt Spalding recently told me about the problem with symbols in the upload file name. would it be that much trouble for someone to add a warning about this to the in game help page or to the wiki?? in fact how hard would it be just to fix the game code?? (I know, that is a pipe dream) I have reached my monthly limit for ordering clothes (3600 of 3600) and the only way to try out an image for a new piece of clothing to see if it is not blank is to place an order for it. so on Dec 1 I plan to order the same images but without the single quote as part of the file name Link to comment Share on other sites More sharing options...
