The fans are buzzing in anticipation after a spectacular first installment on Wednesday night! USFC 75 was capped off with a Fight Of The Night performance as middleweight champion Jermaine "Razor" Wright (10-3) defended his title against Oscar Bartoo (8-2) in dramatic fashion! After losing two of the first three rounds, Razor dug deep to narrowly take Round 4 and even the score. Bartoo hung tough, giving everything he had in the fight of his life, but Razor's pressure and cardio were too much as he continued to pour it, breaking Bartoo's will early in Round 5! "Your Uncle" Michael Van Roost (10-7) looked to avenge a loss to Mr Universe (14-2), a three round war of elbows back in May that left both men bloodied and even on the scorecards heading into the final round. It was anyone's fight with just over a minute to go, but a doctor stoppage ended the battle before the scorecards could be read. The rematch opened in the same manner as the first fight, with Universe splitting Van Roost with a slicing elbow early in Round 1! Van Roost answered back with his own elbow leaving Universe cut open again as well! The two exchanged back and forth, but it was Van Roost who took the first two rounds on the judges' cards, leaving Universe in need of a stoppage to get the win. The two met in the clinch to start the final round and began to trade back and forth with reckless abandon, each looking for the KO! As the 10 second ticker sounded, Van Roost fans began to celebrate as the rematch looked to be in the bag. But, a final elbow by Universe tore Van Roost's gash wide open as blood splattered across the cage! With 1 second left on the clock, the referee called in the doctor who immediately ended the fight after watching the violent battle from cageside. Mr Universe fans went wild as their hero pulled off a miraculous and unlikely come from behind victory, while Van Roost fans were seen hurling beers and sodas towards the doctor and referee, both of whom made exits under security escorts! It was a night that delivered on bloodshed and drama, as promised, as two incredible warriors put on a horror show for the ages! On deck... I just hope he's training speed instead of endurance as there is no way I'll let it go to the 5th round for a 2nd time.
