Well why isn't a takedown counted when he goes to that position i always ask friends? I can see NJ's point though on not wanting to allow knees to the head of an opponent with 1 hand down. When you bend over to pick something off of the ground are you on the ground? Neither are the fighters with 1 hand down standing with someone on there back side nailing them with knees waiting for them to stop touching the ground and then lifting playing a game looking for a stoppage or a point deduction. Big John actually let it go one time and said "if your gunna play that game", thats all i could make out him saying as the guy complained that he was down and getting knees as he touched and lifted his hand repeatedly. Seriously the difference between a downed fighter and not was a finger touching the ground. what a joke, they can use the game hand to block shots now or just finish standing up and accept they are in a bad position in the clinch. Now if you want to go two hands palm/fist down you are going to get your back taken if you play that game and if you are getting up its only a split second faster that you can get hit as most people get up with both hands leaving the ground about the same time unless they are 80 or in my case 40:) but im no MMA fighter. 1 Quote Link to comment Share on other sites More sharing options...
