Guest
It seems like lately people have been figuring out that specialized gyms are better for their fighters. Most fighters try to make themselves into either KO artists, GnP guys, or BJJ specialists. That means it would be better to have gyms that cater to these interests. If I have a guy who wins through submission, all he really needs to build is his sub offense, sub defense, striking defense and takedown offense (and of course his primary skills). If I have a BJJ specialist in a gym that tries to serve all fighters, that means I'm helping to pay for some guy's kicks or punches when I could be going to a gym that only has the skills my guy needs. I've spotted a few specialist gyms for strikers - there's Beatdown Palace in Sydney and KO Central in LA. I'm sure there are more. My question is, where are the best gyms for ground guys? I haven't spotted any wrestling specialist or BJJ specialist gyms.

While it's still in it's infancy, it already has some good coaches, and appears to be solely for the ground game. It's growing nicely, and I'm sure before too long Benji will have added more elite coaches.
Guest
There isn't much demand for it.
Guest
There isn't much demand for it. GNP is still i think underated in this game not many gyms get elite gnp coaches i feel like if someone can make a wrestling GNP defence grappling CT elite gym there would be a nice number of felas going to it. I agree. I have four different guys who would hop into that gym.
Guest
people don't know what they want. once people start opening up more specialized gyms, the demand for gyms like beatdown in sydney will be crazy.

I created Spetsnaz in St Pete's to be an elite gym with selected membership that focussed on skills needed for sprawl-n-brawl and GnP fighters. But there wasn't too much demand for GnP, so I've reduced the number of GnP classes and even put in 2 sessions of sub offense. Meh
