I've teamed up with Jacques Ryan a.k.a Judoka who is opening a brand new 'Crashforce Training Asylum' in Amsterdam. It's going to be the very first elite gym with Q150 coaches and very low fighter capacity. We want to provide the best possible training for Crashforce fighters. I've learned that Judoka is going to hire four elite trainers from the start and cap the gym in around 15 members. The weekly fee will be 600$/week. If you're interested you might want to secure the spot already at TOMORROW. Did I forget something Jacques? =)

Also, a HUGE thanks to our partner Beast Fightwear and it's owner GeeWizzle who made us pretty much all the graphics (logo, thumbnail and the official shirt).

The gym will be opening tomorrow night and it will have a 150 conditioning coach, a 150 muay thai coach, a 150 wrestling coach and a double 150 wrestling/bjj coach. Initial cap will be 15 fighters (making the coach fighter ratio at capacity 3.75). The cap will NOT be raised for at least a week for anyone and it will not be raised until more coaching is added. The ratio will always be ridiculously low, because if we are going to make Amsterdam a quality city, it is going to need quality gyms.

If you have a solid fighter, particularly a middleweight, that you want to move to Amsterdam, talk to Savucha in game to work something out in moving fees.

Cheers guys.

Crashforce.1: The First Collision
http://www.mmatycoon.com/images/posters/1261215267collision.jpg

UNDERCARD:

Anselmi Kierre (0-0) Vs Orlando Church (0-0):

The battle of two super heavyweight newcomers. Both guys came to the cage feeling pumped up and ready to bang. After the starting bell Church took the command in the stand up department but wasn't able to land anything big. Kierre moved well and looked for a perfect spot to score a takedown. Once the fight got to the ground it was all Kierre! Kierre pinned Church against the cage and unleashed some impressive GnP and took the W.
After 2:03 of round 2: Kierre wins by way of TKO (Strikes).
Fight rating: 84%

Alex Velnart (0-0) Vs Rafe Mundy:

A match between two stand up oriented heavyweights. When two good hw boxers collide it usually comes down to who connects first and so it did today. Velnart came out guns blazing and cracked a huge cut to Mundys face after the first exchange. After the cut Mundy never got a chance. Velnart cracked him again with a furious combination and dropped him out cold!
After 0:25 of round 1, we have a winner by way of KO (Punches). Alex Velnart!
Fight Rating: 100%
KO of the night bonus goes to the winner Alex Velnart!

Hendrik van Robben (0-0) Vs Ruud Van Ubereem (0-0):

The first collision of two heavyweight Muay Thai experts! Both guys came out very aggressive but after few exchanges Van Robben felt like he would have the advantage in the clinch and went for the MT plum. This was the deciding factor for the fight too. Right after they clinched Van Ubereem received a cut from Van Robben's knee to the head. Van Ubereem tried to pull guard few times but as a BJJ white belt that must've been a desperate mans effort. Van Robben domintaed the fight in the clinch and earned a decision win.
Hendrik van Robben wins by unanimous decision!
Fight rating: 48%

Charles Williams (0-0) Vs Dan Shayle (0-0):

Two lhw debutants here. Right after the bell Shayle takes control of the cage and starts to throw some nice punches. After the aggressive start by Shayle he for some reason decides to take the fight to the ground. It seemed like a mistake in gameplanning becouse Williams is a BJJ brown belt and is more than comfortable on hes back. Fighters go back and forth, from stand up to the mat again. Much to my suprise Shayle did all the takedowns. This gameplan cost him dearly becouse in the end of the second round, just before the bell Williams locks a killer triangle and Shayle had to tap or go to sleep.
Charles Williams wins by triangle choke in 5:05(!!!!) of the second round.
Fight rating: 46%

Simo Kostaja (0-0) Vs Gabriel Sadowski (0-0):

Skillwise this match up is a mirrormatch. Most of this fight was fought in the clinch. Both guys came out aggressive but Kostaja was the more accurate fighter. Kostaja was able to stuff all the takedown attemps from Sadowski and earned the unanimous decision win this time.
Simo Kostaja wins by unanimous decision.
Fight rating: 35%

Bass Rotten (0-0) Vs Marion Cobretti (0-0):

Marion Cobretti looked veeery focused and determined when he walked to the cage. The lost brother of "El Guapo" Bass Rotten on the other hand came up pumped jumping and screaming and psyching himslef up. On the paper this lhw bout looks like a stand and bang type of fight. Cobretti starts the fight very aggressive and throws combinations from all angles. Rotten shoots for a takedown but Cobretti sprawls well. After the takedown attempt by Rotten, Cobretti lands a hard jab and cuts Rotten which is the astart of the end of this fight. Right after that Cobretti lands another one devastating punch and Rotten is almost out. Rotten gets hes marbles back togerther and decides to take the fight to the ground. That wasn't a very good decision becouse right when they hit the floor Cobretti goes for an arm and makes Rotten tap. Good action there though!
After 1:04 of round 1, we have a winner by way of Submission (Armbar). Marion Cobretti!
Fight rating: 100%
Submission of the night bonus goes to Marion Cobretti! Congrats.

Willem Jansen (0-0) Vs Math Prush (0-0):

This is a middleweight bout between two stand up experts. Jansen is the better boxer but Prush has expertise in the muay thai. Right from the start Jansen (a blue belt in BJJ) decides to try to take this fight to the ground but isn't able to complete the takedowns. Prush is a white belt in BJJ but he has some serious takedown defence! Prush goes for the clinch and takes the control of the fight. Prush is able to dominate the clinch and even though Jansen had few successful takedowns the judges see that Prush was the better fighter today!
Math Prush wins by unanimous decision.
Fight rating: 46%

Sota Kalkkuna (0-0) Vs Jim Morrison (0-0):

Like other undercard fights so far today, this is a debut for both fighters. Right from the start Morrison goes for a takedown and gets it. Kalkkuna isn't worried though becouse he has a purple belt in BJJ. Kalkkuna is actively looking for submissions while Morrison scores with nice some nice gnp. This seems to be the tale of the fight. After three rounds of ground fighting we have a winner:
Kalkkuna wins by unanimous decision.
Fight rating: 36%

CO-MAIN EVENT:

The Vindicator (1-0) Vs Valentijn Gibbs (1-0):

In shw division we have a classical striker versus grappler match up. On his way into the cage it seems that The Vindicator has been attacked by a crazed fan! It looks like it might have been the just bleed guy! Luckily The Vindicator seems to be OK! The fight starts like we thought: Vindicator swings for the fences and Gibbs tries to clinch or take the fight to the ground. Both guys seem a bit sloppy becouse Vindicator can't connect and Gibbs cannot complete the takedowns. After few attemps Gibbs finally gets it to the mat and starts throwing punches. Vindicator tries to stall as much as he can and it pays off: mr.referee stands the fighters up. After this Vindicator decides that the only whos going to the mat after this is Gibbs. He lands a devastating jab-cross combination which rocks Gibbs. After that he has an easy job to finish the wobbly opponent.
After 3:40 of round 1, we have a winner by way of KO (Punches). The Vindicator!
Fight rating: 90%
Both fighters receives the fight of the night bonuses!

MAIN EVENT:

Jase Tua (1-0) Vs Matt Martinez (1-0):

A heavyweights collide in our main event! Martinez is a great boxer while Tua is more well rounded fighter. After the bell goes for the clinch and gets it. Seems like he doesn't want to have any part in the stand and bang department. From the clinch the fighters go to the floor after a nice takedown from Tua. Tua works very aggressively in the ground but can't finish Martinez. They go back and forth but mostly in the ground where Tua dominates. After three rounds of non-stop action tthe judges have made their decision:
Winner by unanimous decision: Jase Tua!
Fight rating: 44%

----

It was a good start for the crashforce. Event rating was decent: 49.05. We had a good attendance of 608 (700 seats). THANK YOU for everyone taking care of the fighter who must cut weight. Im very happy there were no NCs today. =) After the main event fight I noticed that the manager of Jase Tua (2-0) had cut the fighter without saying anything to me. If anybody has free spots you should pick up this up and coming prospect! Thanks!

Crashforce.2 - The Collision Course
http://www.mmatycoon.com/images/posters/1261392634cforce2.jpg
to listen the official event song while reading the recap. ;D

UNDERCARD:

Middleweight bout: Vuk Maksimovic (0-0) Vs Josh Crush (0-0):

This fight had fireworks written all over it! Both guys have solid skills in their respective stand up styles and both have good wrestling skills. Usually two evenly matched wrestlers cancel each other out and they start throw leather and it wasn't different here either! Much to my suprise this bout actually went to the judges score cards after three rounds of slugging!
The winner by unanimous decision... Vuk Maksimovic!
Fight rating: 49%

Middleweight bout: Peter Van Bastaan (0-1) Vs Dimitris Bithoulkas (0-0):

In this fight we saw what it means to have all around skills! Van Bastaan is known of hes solid stand up but also from hes non-existent ground game. Bithoulkas entered the cage with this information in hes mind. Right from the start Bithoulkas closes the distance and gets a trip takedown. Few punches and Van Bastaan is rocked enought to leave the arm out. Bithoulkas almost takes the whole arm with him to home. Nasty submission!
After 0:31 of round 1, we have a winner by way of Submission (Kimura). Dimitris Bithoulkas!
Fight rating: 61%

Middleweight bout: Daniel Rex (0-1) Vs Melvin Manhof (0-1):

This is crunch time for both fighters! Both came to this fight with a loss under their belt. Right from the start Melvin takes the leadership over the ring with a very aggressive gameplan! Both guys slugs it out but much to my suprise a superior muay thai fighter Manhof doesn't want to clinch at all but uses better and more versatile stand up skills. Rex can't find the answer for Manhof's aggressiviness and looks like he has threwn a towel in in hes head.
In favor of your winner, by unanimous decision... Melvin Manhof!
Fight rating: 55%

LHW bout: napolian manson (0-0) Vs paper boy (0-0):

Paper boy struggled to make weight for this fight. He only made it down to 206.8lbs at the first attempt and had to take the additional two hours to make the official bout weight. That additional weight cut didn't bother him too much in the fight. Manson had to take the defensive stance becouse Paper Boy pushed the pace. Paper Boy tried to close the distance and get to clinch where he couls pull guard. This was a very very even bout in the and. The judges think the W goes to:
In favor of your winner, by unanimous decision... paper boy!
Fight rating: 38%

Middleweight bout: Savvas Costandinou (1-0) Vs Meki Ilyou (1-0):

Theres no doubt that Costandinou wants to get this fight to the ground where he can test hes purple belt BJJ skills against Ilyou's white belt skills. Ilyou comes out guns blazing right from the start but Savvas defends well. This was the tale for the whole fight: Meki throwing leather and Savvas defending and trying to get the fight to the ground. Neither fighter wasnt able to catch another so after three rounds of action we have a decision.
In favor of your winner, by unanimous decision... Meki llyou!
Fight rating: 38%

SHW bout: Eddie Fatu (1-0) Vs Jerry Jones (0-0):

This is a clash between two superheavies with really even skills. My guess is that these monster will go toe to toe on this one. Jones comes out very aggressive but Fatu is moving really well. Jones seems like hes throwing everything that he has with every punch. Maybe he should compose hes strikes a bit becouse instead of finding hes mark Jones gets cut by a stiff jab from Fatu! The cut doesnt bother Jones becouse he keeps swinging for the fences. Fatu finds Jones ching again with really nice counter striking and Jones crumbles to the mat. Fatu smells blood and goes for the kill!
After 1:50 of round 1, we have a winner by way of TKO (Strikes). Eddie Fatu!
Fight rating: 93%

Heavyweight bout: Kevin Andersen (0-1) Vs Mike Watson (0-0):

A BJJ purple belt Mike Watson obviously wants to get this fight to the ground but he will be having a hard time doing that becouse Andersen has some wonderful wrestling skills. Lets see how this goes. It seems like right from the bat Watson goes for the takedown and gets it! Damn Andersen must have been still sleeping or something. This fight turns out to be a grappling match from the start to the very end. Both guys throwing everything they have but none is getting much done. Seems like the judges have to make some decisions again.
Winner by unanimous decision... Kevin Andersen!
Fight rating: 37%

Bantamweight bout: General Tso (0-0) Vs Alex Vargas (0-0):

Time for the little guys to settle their differences. =) Its a debut for both fighters. Tso has no respect for Vargas purple belt becouse right from the start he decides to take the opponent down. I bet Vargas doesn\\\'t mind at all. On the ground Tso looks for big elbow strikes and Vargas is moving hes hips actively and looking for openings. After an entertaining perioid of time the judge stands both guys up. After this the fighters clinch and Tso pulls the guard!! Im not sure if thats very good idea aganst a lot better bjj player. After an omoplata attempt Vargas gets Tso's back and tries to lock the RNC...
After 2:19 of round 2, we have a winner by way of Submission (RNC). Alex Vargas!
Fight rating: 76%
Submission of the night goes to Alex Vargas!

CO-MAIN EVENT:

LHW bout: Blade Daywalker (2-0) Vs Gegard Mousasi (1-0):

A classical striker versus grappler match up. Mousasi comes out more aggressive but Daywalker manages to get the clinch. In clinch Daywalker is looking to pull guard and gets it too. On the ground it seems like Daywalker is the more aggressive fighter throwing submissions.
After 0:43 of round 1, we have a winner by way of Submission (Triangle). Blade Daywalker!
Fight rating: 89%

THE MAIN EVENT:

Middleweight bout: Antti Tuisku (6-1) Vs Teppo Raju (4-4):

This bout is actually a rematch. These guys slugged it out last autumn in FinnFight event in Helsinki. In that first meeting Tuisku was able to pull the very close decision win over Raju. Let's see how it goes today. Both guys comes out very aggressive. Raju is using hes boxing to set up takedowns but Tuisku moves ans sprawls very well! Tuisku is throwing some serious leather but gets a little sloppy by rushing in to Raju who capitalizes and takes Tuisku to the ground. Tuisku keeps hes face expressionless and shows a nice excape from Raju's hold. Raju is trying to get the fight back to the ground with all hes might but Tuisku is showing us a really nice sprawl n brawl tactics and skills. Tuisku drops a shoulder and throws an uppercut that cracks Raju right on the button. Raju goes down! Tuisku follows him to the mat and finishes the job with more strikes!
Ladies and gentlemen, after 1:27 of round 1, we have a winner by way of TKO (Strikes). Antti Tuisku!
Fight Rating: 100%
KO of the night bonus goes to Antti Tuisku!
Both guys are awarded with the Fight of the night bonus!

Thanks for everyone for an excellent night of fights! It seems like we sold out the arena and with event rating of 64.02 we claimed the #1 place in Amsterdam (for now). :D I couldnt be happier right now.

UNDERCARD:

Middleweight bout: Hans Lippencot (0-0) Vs Harley Taavetinpoika (0-0):

The gameplan for this fight were pretty obvious for both fighters. Lippencot coming in to fight with very good boxing skillz while Taavetinpoika possessed the more established ground game. Right from the start Taavetinpoika tried to take this fight to the ground. He didn't want to have any part of the stand up. Lippencot used hes jab well and moved away from the takedown most attemps. When the fight went to ground Taavetinpoika wasn't able to deliver and most of the times ref had to stand both guys up. On the feet Lippencot just coudn't hit hes target.
Hans Lippencot wins by uninamous decision
Fight rating: 50%

Middleweight bout: Reinhard Heydrich (0-0) Vs Tuhnu Haukka (0-0):

The battle of two young groundfighter debutants. Both guys have solid BJJ skills but the difference in this fight was the wrestling. Heydrich took Haukka down at will and scored some decisive points doing so. The fight was fought mostly on the mat and it seemed like their BJJ skills cancelled each other out. A lot of nice positional grappling but neither man could finish the fight.
Reinhard Heydrich wins by uninamous decision
Fight rating: 37%

Middleweight bout: Melvin Manowar (0-0) Vs Saruman Fredriksson (0-0):

Both guys looked pretty even on the paper skill-wise. When the bell rang it became obvious that Fredriksson wanted to take the fight to the ground and Manowar favored the stand up techniques. Manowar landed some devastating knees in the clinch showing nice Muay Thai skills but Fredriksson hung in there. Fredriksson wanted to take the fight to the ground and when he finally got it there he unleashed some aggressive gnp. The fight was really even in the judges score cards in the end of the third round.
Saruman Fredriksson wins by uninamous decision
Fight rating: 62%

Middleweight bout: Conan Subotai (0-0) Vs Veijo Vinssi (0-0):

This fight had fireworks written all over it. Both guys came out really aggressive and none were looking for takedowns. Vinssi seemed like he was better prepared becouse he took the ring leadership from the start. Both guys were trying to decapitate each other it looked like. The fight went from toe to toe to clinch and back. Unfortunately neither were succesfull in connecting a solid blow.
Veijo Vinssi wins by uninamous decision
Fight rating: 56%

Middleweight bout: Ignaas Zaan (0-0) Vs Aapeli Pulliainen (0-0):

Two very different fighters here to prove their skills in a debut fight for both. Pulliainen has solid boxing and BJJ skills while Zaan has a strong wrestling background and a newfound skills in Muay Thai. Zaan came out like a hurricane and clinched straight away so Pulliainen could KO him to oblivion. The whole bout was basically fought in the clinch where Zaan threw gazillion elbows and knees but didn't really manage to land but a few. Pulliainen wasn't able to break from the clinch but managed to dodge most of the flurries Zaan threw.
Ignaas Zaan wins by uninamous decision
Fight rating: 33%

Middleweight bout: Johannes Makeinen (0-0) Vs Osmo Jokinen (0-0):

A battle of two established wrestlers. Right from the start Jokinen catches Makeinen and takes the fight to the ground. Suprising! In the ground both guys are working to improve positions and throw some gnp. It seemed like Jokinen gave most of the damage becouse Makeinen was quite sloppy with hes punches. Occasionally the fight were on the feet too where Jokinen proved to be the more accurate boxer. The accuracy on the feet and on the mat was the decisive factor in this match. Jokinen found hes mark more often but wasn't able to put Makeinen to sleep.
Osmo Jokinen wins by uninamous decision
Fight rating: 71%

Middleweight bout: Mauricio Vitor Cesar (0-0) Vs Jamppa Reponen (0-0):

Very even match up in the paper! Both guys are established bjj purple belts. 1st second of the first round, guess what happens? Reponen takes Cesar to the ground! Cesar doesn't mind fighting from hes back and starts looking for a better position. Some badass position grappling there and every now and then someone tries for a submission. In the second round Reponen has a momentary lapse of concentration, allowing Cesar to throw up a leg and lock on what appears to be a pretty tight triangle! Reponen is fighting it off but it's all too little too late - Cesar pulls down on the head and he's put Reponen to sleep!
Winner by submission (Triangle), Mauricio Vitor Cesar!
Fight rating: 36%

Middleweight bout: Mo Lestor (0-0) Vs Hans Van Der Halipula (0-0):

Two stand up fighters making their their way to the cage. Something strange going on in the staredown: Halipula waves to Lestor that he ain't touching gloves. Instead he grabs a hold of Lestor and... hugs him?!? Lestor is obviously confused about this but accepts the gesture, shakes hes head and goes to hes corner. After the bell there is no more hugging but some serious slugging. ;P Both guys going at it! Lestor seems to be distracted about the staredown still becouse hes swinging wild and cannot connect anything. Halipula on the other hands lands pretty much everything. After the first minute mark Halipula is throwing a storm of strikes. Right hook, left hook and follows it up with a spinning back fist!!!! Lestor hits the canvas like a rag doll! And just like that, this one is over!
Winner by KO (Strikes), Hans Van Der Halipula!
Fight rating: 100%
Halipula gets the KO of the night bonus!

CO-MAIN EVENT:

Heavyweight bout: Paul Baller (1-0) Vs Hamilton Porter (1-0):

This is the classical grappler versus striker match up. Baller seems to be the more well rounded fighter. After the bell Porter runs to the middle of the cage and starts swinging like a madman. Baller wisely acknowledges the possibilty of death by this raging boxing expert and clinches succesfully. In the clinch Baller tries to take the fight to the ground and finally manages to do that. After they hit the canvas Baller starts to throw submissions from all positions. Not the first but 24th attempt finally sunks in deep enough.
Winner by submission (Arm Triangle), Paul Baller!
Fight rating: 74%
Baller gets the submission of the night bonus!

MAIN EVENT:

SHW bout: John Feathers (2-0) Vs Clifford Hankins (1-0):

There are an array of beautiful celebrities at ringside tonight! People are roaring when the stars of the night make their way to the battleground. Both guys are well versatile on every aspect of the MMA game. After the staredown the fighters shook their hands and go to their corners. Right from the bell Hankins takes the fight to the ground and immediately looks for submission. Feathers is on the action and has no problem defending the submissions. Feathers manages to get back on the feet and for the two first rounds he dominates the fight. In the last round Hankins seems to be the fresher fighter and he takes the charge but can't finish Feathers.
Winner by unanimous decision: John Feathers!
Fight rating: 69%
Both fighters are awarded with the fight of the night bonuses!

Hello, this is Ring Girl, reporting from Amsterdam, where I was watching my fighters debut in Pakkis Challenge Round 1.

Something strange happened in the beginning of my fighters ( Hans Van Der Halipula )match.

This;

http://img262.imageshack.us/img262/3176/halaus.jpg

Hans was actually hugging the other fighter!

That got me thinking, I've noticed similiar behavior from him earlier. Always hugging, me, fellow fighters, coaches, pretty much everyone. So I asked my other fighters, if they had any photos from training camps and/or tournament trips. Here's what I came across;

Hans giving free hug to strangers

http://img99.imageshack.us/img99/9373/hugshans.jpg

Hans hugging a group of bodybuilders

http://img18.imageshack.us/img18/3673/grouphughans.jpg

And finally, Hans hugging a frigging tiger!

http://img442.imageshack.us/img442/3973/tigerhughans.jpg

There's obviously something wrong with the guy, but as long as he is winning fights, it doesn't matter.

This is R.G., over and out.
