Tout Petit Gigante (409524) Post Weigh In Interview Interviewer: Tout Petit Gigante, a perfect 9-0, with every single victory ending in the first round by submission. You're facing Taisei Sakuraba tomorrow. How are you feeling after making weight here in Australia? Tout Petit Gigante: Feeling exactly as I need to be. Weight's good, mind's sharp. Ready for tomorrow. Interviewer: An undeniably impressive record. Taisei Sakuraba, at 3-1 and coming off a TKO victory, presents a unique challenge. What are your thoughts on this stylistic matchup? Tout Petit Gigante: Every fight is a different puzzle, and Sakuraba presents a particularly interesting one. Coming off that TKO, he's clearly dangerous on his feet, and that's a different threat than I've faced recently. He also has two submission wins, so I can't overlook his ground game either. But what makes him potentially my toughest stylistic test so far is the combination of what I've seen. He seems to have solid takedown defense, which could make it harder for me to get the fight to my world. And his striking ability, that knockout power, means I have to be much more cautious and strategic in my approach. It's a different look, a more well-rounded challenge in terms of where the fight could play out, but my goal remains the same: find the quickest route to my finish, no matter where that opening appears. Interviewer: Knowing Sakuraba's last win was a TKO, are you anticipating more of a stand-up battle in this fight? Tout Petit Gigante: He might prefer to keep it standing, given his last result. But ultimately, I dictate where this fight goes. Whether it's on the feet or on the ground, I'll be looking for my opening to finish. Interviewer: Tout, you've stated this is a number one versus number four matchup. You've also mentioned wanting one or two more fights before May 10th and then challenging for the title. Your confidence is clear. Can you elaborate on your ranking assessment and your plans? Tout Petit Gigante: Yes to clarify I meant in my division. Look at the results. 9-0, all first-round submissions, with a win over the current champion. That puts me at the top. Sakuraba's 3-1 with that only loss being in a competitive fight to the current title challenger in Soares . It's a clear top four fight. My plan is to stay active, get another fight or two in before that May mark if it lines up. Keep the momentum. Then, whoever holds that belt, that's who I'm coming for. Interviewer: The current title picture involves Angelo Martinez (10-1, all wins by early ground and pound) facing Ricardo Soares (4-1, all submission wins since debut loss). Do you have a prediction for that fight? Tout Petit Gigante: That's an interesting one. Martinez is dangerous early with his ground and pound. Soares has shown he can finish on the ground, with all his wins being submissions. If Soares can survive that early pressure from Martinez, he definitely has a chance to submit him. But Martinez has that experience. I'm leaning slightly towards Martinez by an early finish. He'll be motivated to stay champion, to avenge his sole loss to me. But honestly, either one of them holding that belt just means that they await their true test against me. Interviewer: You haven't competed in Australia before. Does the location hold any special significance? Tout Petit Gigante: The cage is the same everywhere. The fans here are great. I'm here to do my job, represent my team and everyone back home. The location doesn't change my focus. Interviewer: Finally, what can the fans expect to see from Tout Petit Gigante tomorrow night? Tout Petit Gigante: They can expect to see exactly what I've delivered in all my fights: a focused fighter going for the first-round submission victory. I'm here to dominate and prove I'm ready for that title shot. I never lost my belt at EGA; the organization closed. I still feel like a defending champion and will prove it by winning this one and then, eventually whoever sits on the throne after May 10th. Interviewer: Tout Petit Gigante, thank you for your time. Best of luck tomorrow. Tout Petit Gigante: Obrigado. Stay tuned right here for the post-fight interview with Tout Petit Gigante after tomorrow's main event at UFF Fight Night 6 (989523). Plus, with Tout's sights set on that title, you can expect more frequent updates and interviews right here whenever there's news regarding his fights and journey. Best of luck, Tout!
