DiGNITY 1 - Humble Beginnings

Fittingly named "Crash," even B2L 45's event title foreshadowed the volatility of a major week in our org's history. Ownership changed from the loving hands of Jake Waldren to the equally tender and capable hands of Gary Coffey. Major adjustments have been implemented including a name change, a coming roster re-alignment, and even the night's event is now named "DiGNITY 1 - Humble Beginnings." There should be some extra zip on the punches and kicks tonight as our fighters try to earn their way into the good graces of the new boss. Savor the last moments of Built 2 Last and ride the rising excitement of the newly born DiGNITY MMA.

All fights will take place in a cage and be judged by the whole fight.

Here's the rundown:

265 Stanislav Jovanovitch versus "Nature Boy" Jaques Cousteau

The first in DiGNITY MMA history will be a heavyweight battle between organization newcomer Stanislav Jovanovitch and "Nature Boy" Jaques Cousteau. Jovanovitch, a veteran striker who likes to deal his damage in the clinch should have his way if he can keep the fight standing against the ground and pounder Cousteau. My prediction: Jovanovitch by TKO.

185 Harry Hammer versus Mick "The Punisher" Audet

With some fortuitous naming by his parents, Harry Hammer's fighting style has come to fit his name. He drops his opponents and hammers down pain. He'll hope to do the same against "The Punisher," which so far in his career seems to be a misnomer. Audet's passive style has garnered some submission wins but also one-sided losses. My prediction: Hammer by TKO.

205 Dwayne "Bang" Howard versus "Global Issues" Thurston Unger

His explosive striking has ended his last three fights in first round "bangs". He'll look to continue that streak as well as his undefeated career against Thurston Unger, an MMA virgin popping his cherry Saturday night. While normally I'd figure this fight ending like Howard's last three, I'm still a little skeptical of his cardio past the first round. My prediction: Unger by decision.

185 Nathan "Crusher" Matos versus "The Anaconda" Marcelo Gracie

Regardless of the outcome, Nathan Matos will end his career on Saturday night. He'll hope to cap it off in dramatic fashion with an upset against skilled black belt, Marcelo Gracie. "The Anaconda" may be coming off a loss but he probably knows he should have this one easily as he bests his opponent in every area. My prediction: Gracie by submission.

170 George St pierre versus Abe Jefferson

I know every fighter should have a puncher's chance but it's hard to see on paper at least where George St pierre can beat Abe Jefferson. He'll need a perfect punch or the submission equivalent on the ground to win. But with superior boxing and a brown belt to George's purple, Abe knows this is his fight to win. My prediction: Jefferson by decision.

170 Marcos "The Anaconda" Duarte versus "Testy" Bustin Balls

Bustin Balls was probably relieved his next opponent wasn't going to be a striking specialist after three straight losses of waking up to a referee's face. He's probably not thrilled however to be facing the second anaconda of the night, an overpowering ground specialist named Marcos Duarte. Duarte coasted in his debut win with a kimura and should do the same against Balls. My prediction: Duarte by submission.

205 "Vorssan poika" Justin Case versus Iskar "Whiskeyjack" Jarak

If you're a fan of suspense thrillers, you'll be on the edge of your seat for this classic grappler and striker battle between Justin Case and Iskar Jarak. Every second Case is unable to take "Whiskeyjack" down is another second he could get knocked out. Jarak has shown he doesn't need much time to win but has been in a funk lately. Will he turn it around or spend the night defending Case's ground and pound? My prediction: Case by TKO.

205 "The Grim Reaper" Gary Moskavony versus Peter Vulture

"The Grim Reaper" may be coming for Gary Moskavony's MMA career as it's been dying fast with every consecutive loss. Perhaps a revenge match will revive his spirit to capture a win? His opponent Peter Vulture is a wrestler with a developing boxing game with an emphasis on developing; as for every TKO win he's earned, he's matched with a TKO loss. My prediction: Vulture by TKO.

Co-Main Event

205 FkYou "InTheAHole" WithMyDik versus Ricky "Americanzi" Stanzi

Pointing to the fact that his only org wins have come against living corpse Gary Moskavony, fans have justifiably questioned the skills of FkYou WithMyDik, especially when the only other opponent he's faced finished him five seconds into the fight. He'll get another shot to prove he's for real against enigmatic grappler Ricky Stanzi. When he's on his game, he can submit some of the best. When he's not, he's being knocked out spectacularly. This fight however is playing into his strength as he's yet to lose against another grappler and that's all we've really seen out of his next opponent. Considering he's subbed brown belts like Josh Bernardes and survived strikers like Shanzo Miganzo, he must be feeling confident he can take whatever WithMyDik throws at him. My prediction: Stanzi by submission.

Main Event

155 "Glass" Chin Po versus Pierce "The Fourth Judge" Russell

Two similar young sprawl and brawlers trade paint in the perpetual race towards the top. Both Chin Po and Pierce Russell are attempting to extend their win streaks to three and continue their speedy lightweight momentum. Po has made his living in the clinch since joining B2L, grinding his way to two TKO finishes. His last fight highlighted his strength and cardio in persevering to a TKO finish over a game To Blake just seconds before the final bell rung. He might have to mix things up against "The Fourth Judge" as he has Po beat both at range and in the clinch. Russell has been having his way on the feet lately with his only recent loss due to takedown defense deficiencies. So unless Po displays some secret grappling prowess we've yet to see, Russell should be able to pick him apart and leave another opponent in his dust . My prediction: Russell by TKO.

DiGNITY 2 - Heat

The second event under the new banner displays a familiar welterweight name. Beautiful Boxer has been welterweight champion for as long as I've been writing in the fight game. He'll defend his belt for the fourth time Sunday night to headline another great card packed especially with lightweight fights. Will the new environment bring a new welterweight champion? Or will Boxer prove that the more things change, the more things stay the same?

All fights will take place in a cage and be judged by the whole fight.

Here's the rundown:

265 "Big" Bear Trapp versus Brock Lesnar

For all his skills on paper, Bear Trapp has proven to mostly be just a well-rounded gatekeeper. There's nothing wrong with that as he can still a tough test for a fighter like Brock Lesnar, an exceptional wrestler whose 8-2 record speaks for itself. And who knows, maybe a new environment could spark another run for even a journeyman like Trapp. My prediction: Lesnar by decision.

185 Jeff "Ulick" MaGee versus Chael Sonnen

Losing to a ground fighter and then a striker should have shown Jeff MaGee that sometimes it's better to be really good at one thing than average at two. A fighter who likes to mix average boxing with average takedowns, he'll need to hope his striking can carry him against a one dimensional wrestler in Chael Sonnen making his professional debut. My prediction: MaGee by decision.

155 Tommy "The Samurai" Avila versus Barney Ross

Probably a little restless after his draw to Anthony Kiedis, Tommy Avila gets a chance to unleash his frustrations through punches and kicks against an opponent Barney Ross doing his best bull impression to take him down. But if he can't stay standing, he'll have to try his best to tame a wild beast that has yet to be tamed. My prediction: Ross by TKO.

185 "The Jaw Breaker" Milo Winner versus Decon Frost

Decon Frost is one of those fighters with the tools to succeed in MMA but for whatever reason can't utilize them. He's shown flashes of greatness like his last brutal head kick knockout but that's been the lone bright spot of the year. Milo Winner started out shaky but has found his recent submission formula pretty successful. Lucky for him, Frost has been susceptible on the ground. My prediction: Winner by submission.

155 Heng Keo versus Anthony "Magik" Kiedis

Two gifted lightweights square off in an attempt to wash away the pain of not winning their previous matches. Keo is a fighter who can basically take the fight to any stage of the game and win. It should be helpful against Kiedis who while competent everywhere as well still prefers striking. If the fight stays standing it could go either way but a ground fight should give a slight edge to Keo. My prediction: Keo by decision.

155 Jason Bourne versus Greg "Maniac" Huges

His nickname seems fitting considering he'd be crazy to want a second chance after being brutalized in his first meeting with Jason Bourne. I don't expect much to be different in this meeting as another night full of leg kicks should pad Bourne's record a bit at the expense of Huges. My prediction: Bourne by TKO.

155 Tony Corner versus Danny "the Plague" Lafever

Tony Corner had to wait a bit longer to get a chance to rebound from his last loss because his opponent couldn't find Montreal on the map. He gets his shot against Danny Lafever who is primarily a striker. Corner may look to utilize the takedowns and put the striking on the back burner to force "the Plague" to his weakest area. My prediction: Corner by decision.

265+ Leus "Anker" Andersen versus Eric "Bobo" Correa

The big boys have come to play. Their names are Leus Andersen and Eric Correa and the best part is they like to fight everywhere. So while normally I can guess it'll be all striking or grappling, these two are well-rounded for big men so only your religious deity of choice will know how it's going down. My prediction: Correa by decision.

Co-Main Event

185 Harry "Tamayo" Villegas versus Yoshihiro "Sexyama" Akiyama

In a stylistic mirror of the main event, middleweights "Tamayo" and "Sexyama" will clash in their own version of the grappler versus the striker. Harry Villegas will play the role of the grappler, something he does well having won on the ground four different ways in his undefeated career. This versatility has aided his popularity as I'm sure fans will be excited to see what Harry tries next. He'll have to do it against the best boxer he's ever faced with a healthy handful of knockouts and TKOs. Akiyama can box for sure but his rather glaring weakness has been his lack of grappling skills. If he can get a takedown, Villegas should find himself winning quickly and easily. But if he eats even just one punch at the right angle, his night could be just as short. My prediction: Villegas by submission.

Main Event

170 Beautiful Boxer versus Luke Withers

Even from his name, one can easily guess Beautiful Boxer's strength as a fighter. And it's shown, in technical striking clinics or savage finishes en route to seven wins. But in the back of every fan's mind, he or she has wondered how Boxer would fare on the ground. His lone loss confirmed what many had questioned as he quickly lost by submission to Moon Nam Sip. He'll have to answer that question with the belt on the line this time against a fighter holding what isn't the prettiest record in Luke Withers. Luke knows however that even a gold title belt can't help the champion defend takedowns, something the challenger excels at. His ground and pound has been especially brutal lately with his last opponent even submitting from the pain. But to apply his menacing top game, Withers has to last long enough on his feet to buy the time for a takedown. And as the champion has shown the past, his fists don't need much time to keep the belt strapped to his waist. My prediction: Withers by TKO.

I was worried when the organization was sold.

Looks like the worries were all for nothing, it's in good hands.

I'm looking forward to contributing some good fights. :smile_anim:

PRESENTS

WEEKEND HIGHLIGHTS

http://www.mmatycoon.com/images/posters/1305940068b2l45poster.jpg

DiGNITY 1 - Humble Beginings

Jovanovitch vs. Cousteau

Jovanovitch is one old fighter here in mmatycoon. He's in a great streak 3 straight. he sure is reviving his career and wants to prove it here in Dignity MMA. This is his debut match in DiGNITY against our veteran Cousteau. Cousteau is a sprawl and brawl fighter while Jovanovitch is very well rounded. There wasn't very much going on the fight. Jovanovitch used lay and pray tactic on Cousteau maintaining the dominant position most of the fight. Even in the mount position he barely did anything and just controlled Cousteau. Cousteau on the other hand was struggling to fight for position he clearly didn't have the defensive grappling to go against Jovanovitch. He was clearly dominated on the ground by a superior opponent. Jovanovitch clearly had this one in the bag. Although it was not that exciting he still went home the victor. He sure showed what experience can do in a fight.

Winner via Unanimous Decision, Stanislav Jovanovitch!

======================================================================================================================================================

Howard clearly had the game plan to decapitate Unger with his punches. He was swinging combinations at him with deadly intentions but Unger showed great striking D as he avoided them with ease. Howard almost got this one when got a takedwon early on the round but he was easily controlled by Unger and was stood up by the referee. Howard was consistently going for the takedown. I think he knew that he was no match for Unger in this one. Unger then shocked us with a powerful uppercut that automatically shuts down Howard. Unger definitely showed in this one that he has brutal KO'ing ability. I won't be surprised if this one wins KO of the night.

Winner via KO (Punch), Thurston Unger!

======================================================================================================================================================

CO-MAIN EVENT

WithMyDik vs. Stanzi

Coming into the fight, I thought that if WithMyDik gets a early dominating performance or he tags Stanzi with a good shot it will go his way. I was right in the first round as WithMyDik was controlling Stanzi on the ground getting some shots in and pulling sub attempts. I thought it was going to be an all WithMyDik night as he took down Stanzi again in the second. It was very much the same before Stanzi surprised us when he caught WithMyDik with a kimura. WithMyDik was calm at first but when Stanzi cranked the kimura, WithMyDik was tapping like hell. You really don't want to estimate Stanzi. Even with low morale he still won the fight.

http://www.mmatycoon.com/gallery/4/4b5.jpg

Winner via Submission (Kimura), Ricky Stanzi!

======================================================================================================================================================

MAIN EVENT

Po vs. Russell

There are two things I want to say about this fight. This was one of those fights where you're going to say "man, he's got a tough chin" and "when is he going to give up?". Po was clearly getting beat up in this fight. He was getting smashed with punches from everywhere. The only significant thing Po did was getting Russell on the ground. He successfully took him down twice but barely did anything on the ground. Po showed great chin by surviving all of those shots without getting knocked down or rocked. Russell didn't even break a sweat in this one he was like having a normal day in the gym hitting pads from his coach. Oh, by the way this time the pads was Po. Russel demonstrated great take down defense and great punching technique. People should be scared of him, combining granite chin and great boxing. I know everybody in the lightweight is looking at Russell now.

Winner via Unanimous Decision, Pierce Russell!

This was a beat down from the get go. Avila had the perfect game plan. That plan was to be aggressive and put out Ross quickly. Ross just couldn't hang with Avila's stand up game. Avila was beating up Ross badly Ross just couldn't hit Avila with anything. I'm not surprised Ross didn't get any injuries after the match. Avila mostly used kicks in his attacks. That's why Avila knocked the senses out of Ross when he landed that head kick. It put out Ross instantly Avila then followed with more strikes that finished the match.

http://www.mmatycoon.com/gallery/13/13w15.jpg

Winner via TKO (Strikes), Tommy Avila!

======================================================================================================================================================

Correa has been upsetting people from left and right. He has been owning fighters far more superior than him in primaries. Andersen isn't an exception. He must be really surprised with the outcome of this match. He has the upper hand in most primaries except Muay Thai. It would've been more acceptable if Correa ended the match with a kick but he owned Andersen with punches. Correa countered Andersen with a powerful combination that knocked him down. Correa then unloads more shots to end the fight. It's really hard to fight against a fighter with granite chin and KO power.

http://www.mmatycoon.com/gallery/15/15b10.jpg

Winner via TKO (Strikes), Eric Correa!

======================================================================================================================================================

CO-MAIN EVENT

Akiyama must're really underestimated Villegas striking defense. For the first minute of the fight Akiyama was swinging wildly with his combinations.

Getting coutered everytime he was missing must be really frustrating for him but when Akiyama connected with a combination I thought it would buckle Villegas' knees but it he didn't even flinch. When Akiyama missed again with another combination Villegas went for a takedown that was of the end for Akiyama. Villegas started to pummel Akiyama with GnP. Akiyama was then hurt by a powerful elbow from Villegas. He then unloads two more shots on Akiyama that ends the fight.

http://www.mmatycoon.com/gallery/28/28w3.jpg

Winner via TKO (Strikes), Harry Villegas!

======================================================================================================================================================

MAIN EVENT

Boxer vs. Withers

Our champion is in for a big test here against Withers. Withers is an olympic wrestler that great power in his hands. Boxer's wrestling will be in for a ride. I'm sure after this fight Boxer has to improve his take down defense. Although it is really hard going against a wrestler with Withers' caliber. Boxer for a white belt showed great defensive grappling controlling Withers on the ground. If Boxer tried to defend against Withers' take down but he was just too good of a wrestler. Both fighters tried their best to come up on top but it was just too hard to judge. Boxer dominated the striking and Withers dominated on the ground. It's a shame the fight was decided as a draw but it just shows how great they matched up.

DiGNITY 3 - Campbell vs Emppe

Friday night brings DiGNITY 3, a card packed with seven welterweight and light heavyweight bouts with the other three lesser-loved weight classes probably sprinkled in so they don't feel neglected. Deep down inside, they know it's a token gesture, and it still hurts at night because the favorite son got his own bed while you sleep on the floor. Time to act out and start a fight to get attention. Lucky for everyone involved, fighting is a good and entertaining way to do it. And while we might not resolve our mommy and daddy issues, we may find some order in the welterweight and light heavyweight divisions.

All fights will take place in a ring and be judged by the whole fight.

Here's the rundown:

155 Max "Well" House versus "The Natural Born Killer" Mickey Knox

Things are not "Well" for former lightweight champion Max House, now with back to back first round losses, he'll need to bounce back against "The Natural Born Killer" Mickey Knox. Knox prefers the ground game, a place House usually enjoys but may actually avoid to utilize his superior standup. My prediction: House by decision.

265+ Malcolm Winner versus "Pain" Eino Kivi

Two big boys introduce themselves to DiGNITY fans by trying to make the other bleed. Unluckily for Eino Kivi, his skin is about as sturdy as wet toilet paper, a fact that's undermined his otherwise great striking potential. Winner likes to setup his takedowns with striking but he may shoot a little quicker this week to avoid being knocked out. My prediction: Winner by TKO.

170 Jason "Bring It" Baltimore versus Jorge "Gamebred" Masvidal

Not having much luck against opponents named Luke, Jason Baltimore hopes a Jorge will be his next victory. "Gamebred" Masvidal is a one-dimensional striker that will need to do as much damage possible before "Bring It" inevitably takes him down. It's something he's had problems doing against legitimate opponents. My prediction: Baltimore by decision.

170 Pepito Manalotto versus George "Rush" St Pierre

Pepito can strike hard but that's about it. He won't be tested too much though against a "Rush" who doesn't have his heart in the fight game. St Pierre has average wrestling skills which could pressure Manalotto but a more likely outcome is a the receiving end of a quick knockout that puts a decisive end to his career. My prediction: Manalotto by KO.

170 Luke "Die Hard" Downer versus "Lsd" Leo St Denis

4-2 since the start of the year, Luke Downer prefers to stand and bang with a habit of gravitating towards the clinch. It works out for "Lsd" a Muay Thai specialist who prefers the clinch as well. But if he can't handle the heat there, Downer should be able to take the grappling inept St Denis down for the win too. My prediction: Downer by decision.

185 "The Cobra Kid" Johnny LaRusso versus "Ma§§acre" Jason Chaos

Finally showing an ability to finish, Johnny LaRusso has breezed through his opponents with all around technical skills. It will aid him against Jason Chaos who is more of a brawler with power to spare. A standing brawl favors "Ma§§acre" so "The Cobra Kid" would do well to keep his usual strategy of taking the fight to all three zones to keep Chaos off balance. My prediction: LaRusso by decision.

205 Colton Washington versus Rado "Razor" McDonald

After a one fight stint in ACME, Washington debuted in our org with a sixteen second whooping of Gordy Nennings. While he can box, he'd be better off taking Rado McDonald down to exploit his rather glaring Achilles' heel (every loss by sub). "Razor" is primarily a kickboxer and would love a standing battle. My prediction: Washington by submission.

205 Gordy "Td" Nennigs versus Mike Frazier

Gordy plummeted from the high of a three fight win streak after his latest TKO loss. He'll get a chance to start flying again by facing Mike Frazier, a man who specializes in dropping people unconscious. In what should be all striking affair, it should be interesting to see whether Nenning fights as usual in the clinch or keep Frazier at range with kicks. My prediction: Frazier by TKO.

Co-Main Event

205 Miyamoto Musashi versus Salvador "Big Shot" Cannon

The two meeting for the co-main event have been making some real statements the past few months. Both have been finishing their opponents although in different ways as they comprise the standard striker and grappler matchup. Musashi likes to strike, with variety too as evidenced by a recent spinning backfist KO. But more than his striking, his takedown defense will be put to the test by Salvador Cannon. His nickname "Big Shot" works on multiple levels referring to his takedown ability as well as his ability to finish with ground and pound once you're down. Musashi probably figures he'll be taken down at some point but knows Cannon can still be beat if he takes enough damage in the process. I have no idea with this one so I'm just gonna flip a coin. My prediction: Cannon by decision.

Main Event

205 Bruce "Chainsaw" Campbell versus "Lordi" Mahtava Emppe

After a blistering start, Mahtava Emppe's career sputtered a bit with the jump in competition. In a brawl, he's shown to be as dangerous as anyone. But in the clinch or on the ground, his deficiencies have been exposed. But luckily, he's facing an opponent of the same mold. Undefeated with eight straight wins, Bruce Campbell arrived in style with a 39 second TKO victory over Marcus Green. He hasn't needed to take the fight anywhere else to win but only he knows if that's a sign of weakness or a trump card of strength. If the two simply stand and trade, the fight could end in with either victorious. But if he wants to play percentages, "Chainsaw" could choose Friday night to reveal he's a true mixed martial artist that can fight wherever the battle needs to go. My prediction: Campbell by decision.

DiGNITY 4 - Always Sunny

Contrary to the event title, a fighter's life isn't like Philadelphia. The ones that really win or know how to; they spent 99% of it in the trenches. They work, train, study, eat, and breathe fighting all for that 1% in the afterglow of a victory. Come Sunday, fans can watch twenty men fight desperately for that moment in the sunshine. And for two light heavyweights, their battle will be a little bit more golden because the championship strap is on the line. Let's try to guess which fighters will enjoy their 1%.

All fights will take place in a cage and be judged by the whole fight.

Here's the rundown:

265+ Chris Cook versus "Mr. Muscle Beach" Mark Wilcox

In a thin super-heavyweight division, Chris Cook has looked dominant. Losing only once, he's finished every other one of his nine opponents within the first three minutes. While stylistically, Wilcox's grappling and submissions skills could pose a challenge, I'd imagine he'll be out on his feet before the first takedown. My prediction: Cook by TKO.

265 "Captain Spaulding" Johnny Lee Jons versus Jake "The Spider" Batungbakal

Jake Batungbakal could use a little sunshine as his life has been gloomy during a four fight losing streak. A Muay Thai fighter that can't stop a takedown, "The Spider" faces a 1-1 ground and pounder Johnny Lee Jons. Like a math problem, striker with no takedown defense plus ground and pounder equals striker loss. My prediction: Jons by decision.

265 "The Existentialist" Jean Paul Sartre versus Otto Vetch

Two undefeateds will meet and only one will leave the same. And despite their young records, we're looking at the future of the division. From what we've seen so far, they like to strike whether at range or in the clinch. This contest should decide who's more ready to move up the heavyweight ladder. My prediction: Sartre by decision.

205lb Title Fight

205 Chucky "Icecold" Little versus Alarcon "The Traitor" Ramirez

Lightweight champion Chucky Little looks to continue his streak of dominance against ground fighter Alarcon Ramirez. Like most strikers, fans like to see if he can handle a grappler. "The Traitor" and his brown belt should be test a plenty if the fight ever hits the ground. I just don't know if Ramirez's rudimentary striking will last long enough to let it do that. My prediction: Little by TKO.

205 "Sunshine" Marcel Thuram versus Diego "The Decision Machine" Faustos

A revenge win and an org debut win later, "The Decision Machine" has bounced back from three straight wins and suddenly he's looking like the fighter who started 11-2. Faustos faces Marcel Thuram, a fighter who will probably looking to avoid the fisticuffs to fight on the ground. My prediction: Faustos by decision.

185 Fedor Obsut versus Marcus "Furius" Camillus

We've got the ingredients for an explosion of fists, feet, and heads. Both like to bang with KO power to spare. While it's hard to say who hits harder, Camillus has shown he can survive to decisions while Obsut has been finished once before by vicious TKO slam. My prediction: Camillus by TKO.

265 The "Most Interesting Man" Dos Equis Guy versus Jacques "The Demon" Deupreaux

A veteran's pride and experience could provide a reality check for the rising superstar The "Most Interesting Man" Dos Equis Guy. The most well-rounded opponent 6-0 Dos Equis Guy has faced so far, Jacques Deupreaux's record looks uglier than his actual skillset. Both have striking power which should provide extra excitement. My prediction: Guy by TKO.

155 Travis Ramsey versus Mike Darter

The first of three lightweight fights, Ramsey and Darter make up the typical striker and grappler matchup. Ramsey has shown he knock people out when he's standing long enough to do it. Darter hasn't been too impressive in his short career; so while he has a shot, it's a long one. My prediction: Ramsey by decision.

Co-Main Event

155 Evgeni "Baretta" Klebanov versus Adam "Snake" Silva

Adam Silva may be coming into Sunday's co-main event with a chip on his shoulder. Despite a similar style and skills, "Baretta" has received more of the hype and attention. But he has a chance to prove he's the better fighter both in the clinch and on the ground. Klebanov has everything to lose as most fans expect him to walk through Silva and challenge for the lightweight title. If past fights are any indication, the fighters may dabble a bit in the clinch before hitting the floor but the fight will inevitably get there. While I may root for Silva a bit out of underdog love, it's hard to bet against a fighter like Evgeni. My prediction: Klebanov by decision.

Main Event

155 "The Conqueror" Bittor Xavier versus Marco "Brick Shithouse" Brickowski

Our night will end with another grappler and striker battle. "The Conqueror" prefers to end his opponent's nights by attacking their arm. All of his submissions have come by armbar or kimura. His opponent on the other hand, prefers to end his opponent's nights by attacking their face. "Brick Shithouse" is undefeated in his career thanks to his highlight reel finishes like back to back head kick wins. His record is in jeopardy because his takedown defense and submission defense will be pushed to the limits by a black belt like Xavier. In the same vein, if Bittor hangs out in a striking battle too long, Marco could have another victim and find himself one step closer to a title contendership. My prediction: Xavier by submission.

DiGNITY 3 - Campbell vs Emppe

LaRusso vs. Chaos

The biggest thing about this match is LaRusso's kicks. He saw how good Chaos' boxing and avoid his punches but landing his kicks in the process. He was very accurate with his strikes landing almost all of them. The most significant strike was his leg kick after the 1 minute mark of the first round. It clearly hurt Chaos and made him useless for the remaining of the fight. LaRusso made clear that despite big difference in their boxing skills he will make it up with his MT advantage. He punished Chaos by powerful kicks and accurate punches earning his 4th career victory and adding another win to his unblemished record.

Winner via Unanimous Decision, Johnny LaRusso!

CO-MAIN EVENT

Musashi vs. Cannon

Cannon did great in this fight. Maybe it was poor takedown defense or Cannon just have that good takedowns. He really nailed his takedowns in this fight. He landed 50% of it. If he didn't landed those takedowns the fight must have been very different. Musashi has KO'ed 6 opponents out of 7 wins. I'm sure Cannon was pretty proud of himself. Not just by landing those takedowns but by avoiding a slug fest against Musashi. He was persistent with taking Musashi down and grinding his way to a scorecard win over Musashi.

Winner via Unanimous Decision, Salvador Cannon!

MAIN EVENT

Campbell vs. Emppe

This main event guarantees you a KO from the very start we saw who was going to be in it. Campbell a very fighter who is very versed in boxing comes in with a perfect record with 6 out 9 wins coming from KO's. While Emppe doesn't have a flashy 0 in his losses record, he is a fighter who gives out fear from the very first step into a ring. He has KO'ed every time his hand is raised in the ring and to think of it all of KO's come in the first round. We all think who's going to get KO'ed. I was really leaning towards Emppe before Campbell showed us why Emppe has a TKO in his losses. He was cutting Emppe with strikes and rocked him right after the first minute of the 1st round. I thought it will a KO win for Campbell but the doctor stopped and took a look at Emppe's cut and stopped the fight. Everybody likes the fight to get finished but we don't always get what we want. Anyway these two guys still gave a great show and Campbell showed how he can dominate someone like Emppe.

Winner via TKO (Cut), Bruce Campbell!

If anyone needs to learn how to beat up his opponent you should learn from Sartre. In his past 4 fights he has been putting people to the hospital by beating them up in the cage. He was barely hit by people that tried to stand with him and it's even harder for him to get taken down. He has stuffed almost every take down attempted at him. This fight was no different. Vetch tried everything he could by mixing his strikes and even trying to take Sartre down but he failed miserably. Vetch had some success in clinch connecting with his punches but had trouble defending from Sartre's attacks as well. Vetch successfully pull Sartre down in the last round but barely did anything. All in all it was just another beat down by Sartre. Vetch must have skin of stone and bones of steel going away with no cuts or even a bruise in this one. Another dominating win by Sartre!

Winner via Unanimous Decision, Jean Paul Sartre!

All I can say about this match is WOW. Why? Ramirez has fought guys that has far more superior BJJ than Little. He finished them all in the first round. Little showed us how good he can defend on the ground despite having a white belt in BJJ. He has dominated majority of the match beating up Ramirez with his strikes. I thought this one was Little's fight. He was winning in the first two rounds but as the fight goes to the later rounds it looked like Ramirez was turning the tides on little he was taking down Little and working on the ground and in the 4th round it was Ramirez who came up on top. and got Little with his signature move an armbar. Little tapped out from the submission. Ramirez is now the new king of the hill of DiGNITY's LHW division.

Winner via Submission (Armbar), Alarcon Ramirez!

======================================================================================================================================================

On paper these two guys are almost equal. Deupreaux just has more experience fighting in the WFC and CFC. He has great power having KO's in his 12 wins. Dos Equis on the other hand despite he doesn't have the edge in experience, he makes up for skill. He has KO'ed all of his opponents 6 in the first round. I knew this fight was never going out of the first round and when I saw Dos Equis Guy was connecting with his strikes easily I was SURE it was going to end in the first round. After the first minute of the round Deupreaux knees give in. He surely can't handle that kind of punishment for long. Dos Equis Guy then barrages with more strikes that finishes the match. Another first round finish for Dos Equis Guy. Great win.

Winner via TKO (Strikes), The Dos Equis Guy!

CO-MAIN EVENT

Klebanov vs. Silva

Klebanov has been all over the world destroying opponents in his path. He has participated in St. Petersberg, Los Angeles and has fought in the two top organizations in Tokyo ONI and Astral. Now he has come to Los Angeles to fight in DiGNITY MMA. His first fight in this org was when it was called B2L it was a first round submission win against Akiyama. This time he is against Silva who has been struggling as of late. I'm sure he wants to regain form and put another W in his record and break his winning streak. The fight was a very one sided match against Silva he continually took Silva down and punished him on the clinch. Silva looked like he was outclassed in the fight barely having any answers from Klebanov's attack. To cut the story short Klebanov man handled his opponent to a very lopsided match. Another win to Klebanov's record and not just a win he won with dominating fashion.

Winner via Unanimous Decision, Evgeni Klebanov!

MAIN EVENT

Xavier vs. Brickowski

I really didn't expect the outcome of this fight. Xavier had a black belt and Brickowski has a definite advantage on their feet with his great MT but the fight was held on the ground where Xavier has a huge advantage on him. Xavier is a submission genius getting 4 submission out of his 6 wins. In this fight I thought it was only a matter of time before Xavier was getting a limb and bringing it home with him. Brickowski really risked a lot in this fight. The fight was back and forth Brickowski winning in the first round and Xavier getting the second. It was going down the wire in the third. If someone nags the third they will be the victor. Brickowski dominated this with his kicks although Xavier gets the takedown but Brickowski did well controlling him and snagging the third round for the unanimous decision win.

Winner via Unanimous Decision, Marco Brickowski!

DiGNITY 5 - Cold as Ice

DiGNITY's 5th event title means many things. Temperatures will be unusually low in the arena to promote more pokies in the stands. Beer will of course be frosty and refreshing all night long. And once the fighters enter the ring, their mentalities better fit the name because any weakness will be taken advantage of you can be sure of that. Along with some highlight reel providers like "NO2" and "Kill Shot," we've got a Caparas title defense going down at 185. So hide your girlfriend's bra, grab a brew, and enjoy another great card on Thursday night.

All fights will take place in a ring and be judged by the whole fight.

Here's the rundown:

155 Graham Goddard versus Michael "Nuclear" Jimenez

Two org staples meet in a rematch but I can't see the result going any differently. Goddard has been on a tear recently with the only stumble being a debut loss to former champion Sandoval. Jimenez on the other hand, has pretty much given up on fighting since losing his title shot. My prediction: Goddard by submission.

155 Mickey Javier "The Falkon" Pantaleon versus Connor Cozad

Long lost relative of a ubiquitous gym chain owner, Connor Cozad's MMA career started well enough with six straight wins only to lose the next five out of six. His black belt hasn't translated to much recent success but he'll use it anyways against "The Falkon" whose wins come by submission. My prediction: Cozad by submission.

155 "NO2" Asteroids Bombereem versus "Kill Shot" Clarence Parish

In our next science experiment, we shall combine "NO2" with "Kill Shot;" our theory suggests their meeting will end in a sudden burst of violence and a likely TKO or KO. The two elements lack depth but store mass amounts of energy that unleash in the forms of punches and spinning backfists. The test will take place Thursday. My prediction: Parish by TKO.

265+ "The Killer Wombat" Jorge Murphy versus Ronnie Coleman

Another rematch from a recent event, Coleman followed his winning formula to take Murphy down to pound and submit him. Hopefully, Murphy has taken a hint and been working on his takedown defense. If not, it's going to be another night of desperately trying to survive under a 322 pound monster. My prediction: Coleman by submission.

170 "The Paraguayan Lion" Roque Barretto versus "The Ultimate Weapon" Danilo Caparas

It's fair to say that five straight KO or TKO means you're allowed to call yourself "The Ultimate Weapon." Owner of the name, Danilo Caparas faces the toughest striker of his young career Roque Barretto. "The Paraguayan Lion" has yet to be finished by a striker and that toughness and experience could hand the undefeated fighter his first loss. My prediction: Caparas by decision.

185lb Title Fight

185 "The Dragon" Paul Carter versus "The Secret Weapon" Jose Oquendo

Barring a loss to strikes he avenged against Keijo Sariini, two time middleweight champion "The Secret Weapon" Jose Oquendo has only loss one other time to former champion Peter Just. The method? Submission. DiGNITY newcomer Paul Carter has had a lifetime's worth of title fights win or lose and you can guess how he likes to win. Oquendo has obviously proven he can strike and win with the best in the division. Can he prove that his grappling can keep up? We'll find out Thursday. My prediction: Oquendo by TKO.

205 Signus Alpha Kann versus Bret McCoy

Signus Alpha Kann makes his professional MMA debut against grappler Bret McCoy. Not much is known about Kann except he seems to be a boxer. I'm sure McCoy isn't happy to hear that as he's struggled against strikers. But if he can take him down, it'll be a lesson for the newbie that you can just box in MMA. My prediction: Kann by decision.

185 Han "Maple Leaf" Jambon versus Jeremy "The Hand of God" Powers

Han Jambo fights his MMA fights like he used to scrap on the ice rink. The former hockey enforcer has won three straight in stand up affairs. It'll be more of the same facing Jeremy Powers, a boxer who prefers banging as well. Watch as the two hit each other in the face until someone crumples. My prediction: Jambon by TKO.

Co-Main Event

170 "Awesome" Howard Schmidt versus Nicholas Bosse

After a slobberknocker before them, fans will be treated to a more technical but just as brutal striking affair. Difficulties in grappling have marred a not so "Awesome" record for Howard Schmidt but you can't overlook the fights he's won when he's able to stand and strike. Just ask Mark Groslouis. Schmidt gets to test his abilities once more against a world class Muay Thai striker so good he's undefeated. Bosse's lethal kicks have attributed to head kick knockouts but also setup TKO or decision wins by sapping the will out of his opponent's legs. One area we might see this fight go that Bosse is rarely seen is the clinch. Howard may try to make this fight a dirty and close affair against the ropes to neutralize the range fighting. One place I don't see the fighting going is the ground which is what should make this fight all the more exciting. My prediction: Bosse by decision.

Main Event

155 "Niten Dōraku" Miyamoto Musashi versus "The Canadian Kid" Joey Popham

In the main event, we have ourselves a grappler and striker event. Miyamoto Musashi is probably still woozy after losing his last fight by ridiculous spinning backfist. It usually doesn't even take creative moves like that to take advantage of his striking deficiencies. But for his standing deficiencies, he has strengths on the ground. Able to ground and pound and submit his opponents once he gets there, the ground is obviously where he needs the fight to go and quick. But his opponent "The Canadian Kid" happens to be a brown belt there as well so it'll be interesting to see if Musashi can succeed even if it goes there. Regardless, it's the only place he has a shot because on the feet or in the clinch, Popham will eat him up quick. And since it's where the fight alway starts, I can't imagine the fight lasting long enough to ever hit the ground. My prediction: Popham by TKO.

DiGNITY 6 - Unforgiven

The lightweights have the night off as we've got more than half the card at heavyweight or heavier. Former champions and title contenders litter the night's action trying to build their way back for another shot. While we may be short one from the usual ten super sweet fights, we won't be short the usual action. We've got a card of finishers especially considering heavyweights are like that saying about the taller they are... something something. Maybe I'll remember by the end of this thing, read on the find out.

All fights will take place in a ring and be judged by the 10 point must system.

Here's the rundown:

265+ "Cutty" Denis Wise versus Marcel Howard

In a big boy matchup to begin the night, two boxers will furiously enact a real life version of rockem sockem robots. Unfortunately for Marcel Howard, his robot doesn't hit as hard as Denis Wise's robot. And while they say it only takes one punch, I'm skeptical he'll find that kind of knockout power this late in his career. My prediction: Wise by TKO.

265+ Tj Thomas versus Ricardo Brown

Using my psychic powers, I predict Ricardo Brown will take Tj Thomas down after some half-hearted striking by both fighters. Ricardo will lay on some ground and pound and in the process of trying to pass into half guard, Tj Thomas will lock up an arm triangle. I swear this is how it's gonna happen. My prediction: Thomas by submission.

185 Timber Lake versus Eyetook Yudaon

Striker Timber Lake has laid waste to his opponents since joining the org with the power of his fists. He'll need to do his damage fast or at least convincingly enough because it's almost a given that Yudaon will be able to bring him down. This is pretty much a coin flip and my lucky nickel said Yudaon. My prediction: Yudaon by decision.

265 Kyle "Butcher" Buttler versus Tony Douglas

Fighting a former champion in his last bout proved Kyle Buttler was severely outmatched but also the toughness of his chin and spirit. He'll need both against a familiar name, former champion and still undefeated Tony Douglas. After abruptly disappearing on a personal journey, he returns sans the belt and a renewed hunger to regain it. My prediction: Douglas by decision.

265+ "Mean Muggin'" Eugene Burns III versus Jimmy Mcnulty

Proof that a black belt doesn't translate to great MMA success, Eugene Burns III knows he can still provide a tough fight at super heavy. Jimmy McNulty is a monster of a man that can control almost anyone when it comes to wrestling. He's been using it to great effect recently and should be able to smother and pound Burns away. My prediction: Mcnulty by TKO.

170 Keijo "Ylimielinen" Sardiini versus Jorge "Trick Master" St Pierre

A victim of the post title loss slump, Keijo Sardiini would probably tell you it's more that his opponent's have been tough. I wouldn't disagree as Oquendo and Sartre are on fire lately. But if he loses this next one he has no excuse. For as game as Jorge St Pierre may be, Sardiini should finish him convincingly to disprove any notion of a slump. My prediction: Sardiini by decision.

205 Phace "Twinkletoes" Schmascher versus Charlie Wax

Especially lately, it's been hard to tell where Charlie Wax's strengths are. He seems to be OK at surviving once he enters the cage but hasn't displayed any weapons to win. Maybe we'll see something new when he faces "Twinkletoes," a fighter who obviously prefers the striking game. I really have no idea here except it will most likely end in decision. My prediction: Schmascher by decision.

Co-Main Event

265 Ray Sybert versus "The Highlander" Angus McLoughlin

On paper, "The Highlander" should bomb Ray Sybert quickly in a surgical strike of missiles in the forms of fists, limbs, and feet. It should look like the equivalent of a third world country being invaded by a military superpower. But that my friend is why we play the game or in this case, fight. McLoughlin has the hype and talent but he better not overlook his opponent's ability to capitalize on mistakes. If you could pick a weakness, it'd be his grappling and Sybert's wins happen to come on the ground. If the fight goes there, there's a chance for a miraculous upset even with his four more fights of experience. If not, Ray will look like he survived a bombing while Angus will have coasted to another win. My prediction: McLouglin by TKO.

Main Event

265 "The Hook" Reggie Haidar versus "Made Man" Avtomat Kalashnikov

"Made Man" Avtomat Kalashnikov seems to be missing that extra something to provide the consistency he needs to stay a heavyweight champion. His reign as champion ended before a defense and has come up short at winning the title twice. But he's still relatively young and still a very talented striker so he has plenty of time to find the missing piece to domination. The next step on his journey will be "The Hook" Reggie Haidar who's been impressing me lately with his heart. He's twice taken shots that drew blood that only served to spark his aggression and end his fights quickly in the first round. That heart will serve him well in what should be a boxing affair shifting between range snipes and clinch blasts. I don't imagine this fight going very long but should be a flurry of action with another contender to be found once the smoke clears. My prediction: Haidar by TKO.

Ultimate weapon? More like Ultimate Can Crusher, that chump has never been in the cage with a real man, I'm going to show him just what a real fighter is, time for you to go to sleep Mr Caparas.

Regards, Roque.
