  1. I will pay $100 to forcefully have jacky removed from the game. Mike should let veteran players pay to retire others. I will also send fish and chips. Looking for backup on my idea, heres a poll: [ ] Yes [ ] Maybe, but probably yes [ ] No, he should be given mod status

  3. real money to buy fighters = farmville/mafia wars/zynga/facebook. u may think that's silly now...but just wait. when does it stop? soon people suggest buying "between-rounds boosts" for ur fighters...or pops, or morale boosts or this or that...blah, blah, blah. bullshit u say? well, just a little while ago, someone suggested vip/ingame money exchanges. it took a while to come to that point. prolly some facebook gamer of some sort...maybe not. now look, not even 6 months later, people talkin' bout buying fighters n' shit. i luv ya chris...but no. i too don't like to see my fighters with anyone else, or fighters i like get "ruined" by another. if it's solely for preservation of the fighter (ur not gonna fight them again...ever) then... how bout u throw down that $100 to speed up the process of programming the "fighter to coach/assistant/cornerman" idea to preserve our fighter's personalities/stories/careers/legacies? i would MUCH rather have that than this...

  4. In that case better not be part of an alliance that wants you for a member. Btw I heard that Steel Penn is still looking for members. They came a few votes short of earning the award for alliance of the year. If they want to make chance next year they bettter start recruiting.

  5. Yea I had a dream last night that this actually happened. An incredibly flabby Tim Sylvia had a hell of a fight with Condit for the title. The first round was an all out war with Sylvia actually dropping Condit with a knee to close out the round. Both guys were gassed at the start of the second. Condit was still hurt and a stiff breeze would have blown him over. Sylvia could barely catch his breath but eventually half-landed an uppercut and Condit fell to the mat. Tim Sylvia was the UFC Welterweight Champion. Weird.

  8. I'm just saying, whats to stop a guy like me from basically owning the Free Agency if I felt like it, when a guys like; Logan, LT, Pico, Jbomb, Jacky, or whoever has actually earned it by being savvy managers. It shouldn't be a matter of I have more money to blow on a game than this guy, so I win. Granted just because you have a good fighter, doesn't mean you're going to dominate. But it does kind of hamstring other folks. Nobody is against Mike making more money, except maybe HuMOurs. I just think their are better ways to make it, that won't give people an overt advantage over others.

  9. When your fighter wins a fight, the fighter receives 90% of the money and the manager receives 10% of the income. This often leads to situations where fighters have $300,000 or more in their balance, which is ridiculous because they could never spend that kind of money. Now what you have to do is launder that money so that you can actually use it, because your fighter never could. This is a silly mechanic that has plagued MMATycoon for as long as I can remember. I understand why there is that kind of split in real life. However, in MMATycoon a fighter has no autonomy. He makes no decisions on his own. You cloth him, you buy him supplements, you make his exact game plan. You can even drain all his money off his account through money laundering. I never really even saw the point of the fighter getting the money instead of the manager. However, if we do have to keep that mechanic, there should be an even 50-50 split, given that you do EVERYTHING. I know if you're in a big alliance this doesn't mean anything to you, but to some of us it's a hassle to find a money launderer only to lose 25% of the money you launder (10% for the launderer, 15% for the money transfer). Although that is a bit off topic as the post is not about how easy it is for some to find launderers over others, but how silly that mechanic actually is. Furthermore, 'laundering' isn't even recognized by MMATycoon wiki, despite its importance and widespread use. Therefore, I propose a larger manager split, maybe 50-50, maybe 60-40,whatever... but 10% is way too low. Managers shouldn't be forced to use the 'laundering' system to use the millions of dollars on their fighter. (or less depending on the manager.) P.S. I don't believe the option of laundering should be taken away unless managers can get full control of their fighter's finances.

  10. I just checked the pound for pound top 10 list and there weren´t a single submission victory in their combined record! I personally think that´s lame. I think the game should evolve at least a little bit towards supporting submission guys. Thoughts?

  11. I think the top managers should still have a leg up on getting first dibs only because you will see a lot of top fighters on the FA market end up on an inactive managers roster and be ruined. I like the bidding option, but another option would be to go on a waiver like system such as what the pro sports leagues in the US use. But instead of the worst getting first dibs, it stays as the best. Once you bid and get a FA, you go to the end of the line. This way, eventually everyone who is active and puts in a claim will get a fighter they want. (I have no idea how easy or hard the coding would be with the waiver option, but it really isn't all that much different than it is now. Just those awarded a fighter get dropped to the back of the manager list)

  12. while i dont agree with the buying free agents i also dont think its good that top managers get first shot at them -- if anything is or gets done i think that free agents should be handled just like business's are done -- put in your bid and highest bidder of in game cash gets them -- you can always get in game cash by buying vip for people or just straight up buying in game cash edited: also just because it doesnt affect you cause you dont get free agents isnt a reason not to care -- cause like its been mentioned this could and would lead to other stuff and would always come back to well we are able to do this or that so why not this or that now -- i have picked up free agents before but havent in a super long time nor do i think i would anymore i get much better satisfaction building and winning with my own guy

  16. i personally wouldn't have a problem with a 70/30 split. 10% is more realistic, since that's around what most real agents/managers make, but for the game i wouldn't have a problem with 30%. especially if it's done in tandem with something to close up the laundering loophole (which i also admittedly use). being able to increase gym fees would remove the need for most people to launder anyway. i'm sure i'm not alone in ONLY doing laundry to fund a gym, which wouldn't be necessary if i could set the weekly fees to whatever i want. in addition, any company (clothing/org/supp) should be able to sponsor gyms (paid weekly), which would take care of org gyms so that they don't NEED to increase fees for the members.

  18. This is Pico's world. I just live in it. He comes up to me with these crazy and fun ideas and I just tell him to run with it and do what he wants. I'll fit in the the schedule somehow. My only request/suggestion for Pico would be to have there be a bidding process, if Fighter A says, "I want the second fight," and fighter A is ranked 2000 p4p and then fighter B comes along and says, "I want the second fight," and is ranked 1000 p4p, Fighter B gets the fighter over Fighter A. Fighter C, D, E, and F can come along later and outbid Fighter B.

  24. Immortals New York offer up INY FIGHT NIGHT VII from The Underground NY April 18, 2012 NOTE: Sorry for the delay in the preview, however due to the nature of my real job, I was called away for several days in the wake of the tornados that recently hit the Midwest. Thank you for your patience. Dean Holliday Peel brings us yet another installment of INY Fight Night. Tonight INY will be bringing you a lot of young fighters who are working on first, second, and for some their final chances at glory. We will cap it off with one of the brightest most explosive rising stars in the Immortals stable, Joe Frazier looking to go 4-0. So feed the fat chic, tell her you’ll be back with a roast and some truffles, cuz INY Fight Night VII preview is comin up. Fight #1 Antonio Rizzo (0-2) VS Comanche Todd (0-1) 185lbs Antonio Rizzo will not only be looking for his first win at Fight Night VII, but he’s also hoping to last more than 1 round for the first time in his career. Comanche Todd (who sounds like the best drunk Indian friend anyone could ever have) lost his last and only fight by decision. While Rizzo has boasted about some descent elbows that we have yet to see, Todd has shown us some descent boxing skills and given hints of some heavy hands. Rizzo is the older and more experienced fighter but I’m giving the nod to Comanche Todd because he’s not only shown that he can go the distance, but let’s face it, his name makes me want to travel to the Black Hills and get shit-faced with the first guy I see wearing a Chief Illinwick head-dress! Fight #2 Phil Stone (0-1) VS James McCoy )0-1) 155lbs Stone comes into this fight with some solid boxing skills and a descent chin. His power however, is in serious question as his last fight went the distance due to a lack of any mustard on his throws and as a result , Stone came up short. Stone will be relying on those same boxing skills for this fight as he will want to keep the fight with McCoy standing up if at all possible. McCoy on the other hand is a brawler with excellent takedown skills to compliment his fair to midland wrestling stripes. If McCoy can manage to elude Stone’s hands and score a takedown, he still has to deal with Stone’s superior bjj. To add more headaches, McCoy’s young age and inexperience will provide a breeding ground for mistakes such as over-extending himself, or gassing out early. Stone will win this fight at a higher altitude, or at sea level. Fight #3 Logan Duncan (1-2) VS Lesner Frost (0-1) 185 lbs Duncan is the older and more experienced fighter in this contest. He has better boxing, better MT, and better wrestling skills than Froster. Duncan is however, susceptable to subs as both of his losses are attributed to tapping out as if he were having a Grand Mal seizure. Frost is a rookie, he’s inexperienced, and thus inferior in every way except for his slightly better bjj rating. If this fight goes to the ground, he has a very real chance to take advantage of Duncan’s poor ground game and pull off an upset. On this night however, I think Duncan goes home with the winning purse and matching shoes . Fight #4 Samuel Washington (0-1) VS Edmond Montaghuge (1-0) 155lbs I’m excited about this fight. While Washington is the favorite on paper with his excellent boxing skills, superior wrestling skills, and slightly better bjj, Montahuge who was considered a “descent” boxer at best stopped Hutch Talo in his last and only fight inside of 12 seconds of the first round!!! Was it a fluke? Does Montahuge really have that much power? Was Talo just distracted by the ring girl’s hefty sized fun-bags? We’ll see. As much as I want to see Montahuge go to 2-0 by another impressive KO, I think Washington is a much better boxer, he’s confident, and he has the advantage both standing up and on the ground. Washington will win this one by TKO (cut). Fight #5 Mick Jones (1-1) VS Eric Worrell (1-1) 155lbs Jones walks in as a better stand-up fighter, while Worrell is the better wrestler. The story here is that Jones recently beat Worrell just last February when he squeezed Worrell’s head like a huge, ugly pimple and sub’d him via guillotine. My pick would normally end there. However, the fact is that Worrell had dominated the entire 1st round of that fight, and had actually taken Jones down very early within the 2nd round but made a costly error in the process, allowing Jones to embarrass Worrell with an easy sub…<ackward!!!!>. I think Worrell has learned from the mistake, created a better game plan, and will walk away with sweet revenge and a side o’ relish. Fight #6 Jock Stark (0-0) VS Brock Froster (1-1) 205lbs Jock Froster looks like a superior fighter on paper, and I think he’s going to look like the superior fighter come Fight Night VII. Froster has superior boxing, MT, and wrestling skills to that of Stark, while Stark holds an advantage in bjj over Froster. Froster also is the older and much more experienced fighter. Bottom line, it’s gonna be a long night for Stark and he may walk away wishing he’d gone cow tipping, planking, or even to his nephews circumcision instead of The Underground to trade lunch boxes with Froster. Oh Vey! Fight #7 Derik Smith (2-1) VS Stanislov Kryuchkov (1-0) 205lbs Derik Smith has 2 wins in the cage via a decision and a sub. His only loss is to 4-0 Frank Rua via decision. Smith is a fair to mediocre fighter in all aspects of the game, and he’s basically a typical all-around kinda guy. You know, he’s o.k. at a lot of aspects but not great in any one. This tells me that Smith is probably a smart guy that can go the distance, he may have a fairly descent chin, but to date hasn’t shown any power or explosiveness . What this doesn’t tell you is that this fight looks eerily similar to that of the Rua fight. The only difference between the Rua fight and this one, is that Kryuchkov is a brown belt in bjj while Rua was a purple belt. It’s déjà vu for Smith. Kryuchkov will beat Smith on the ground setting up a showdown between he and Rua in the near future. Gotta love those Ruskies! Fight #8 Zeke Gliskey (2-4) VS George Brown (3-2) 170lbs Glisky comes in the much older and much more experienced fighter. His boxing and wrestling skills far surpass those of Brown and his bjj is equal to yet more mature and polished than Brown’s. If Glisky has worked at all on his striking defense to counter Brown’s MT skills, Glisky should win this one by leather to the pie-hole either standing up, or on the ground. This is Glitsky’s fight to win or lose. Brown has been knocked out or stopped in both of his losses. Only a polish guy could blow this one! Fight #9 Niko Bellic (1-2) VS Bernhard Taylor (2-0) 185 lbs Bellic comes in as a great boxer with a reputation for having heavy hands. His win is by KO in the 1st round in under 1 minute. His last loss was to one Archie Fallon by way of elbows to the brain-bowl. Taylor struts in with 2 wins both by KO. This fight will come down to who is the “stronger” boxer and who can put the most “stank” on those swings. If the fight should go to a clinch, Taylor has an opportunity and the ability to cut, or better yet, take Bellic out. I’m putting my money on Taylor to KO Bellic and go to 3-0 possibly setting up a fight with a someone who will truly test his man-stones. Fight #10 Joe Frazier (3-0) VS Horse Spud (2-3) 265lbs Frazier has become a crowd favorite due to his ferocious and explosive MT skills that have ended all three of his fights within the 1st round. This guy has more than earned his spot at the top of the fight card. Fans are actually sporting rain coats in the first row of Frazier’s fight’s to keep the blood off of their INY Fight Night gear. Besides going in front of a buzz saw on April 18th, Horse Spud is having his own problems losing his last 3 fights in a row. Spud is the older more experienced fighter, but I don’t believe he has experienced anything like Frazier. This is suicide by MT. This fight will go to Frazier via cuts or KO. Frazier will move to 4-0 and start to look like a serious contender for a future title shot. That’s it. We’ll see ya at the fights! Dean Holliday sayin, “Charlie Don’t Surf!”

  25. what if someone else offered 105 dollars? -- do you plan on fighting this guy? -- i mean no reason to fight him since your buying & preserving "the character" of the fighter as you say -- if you never fight him then might sway some peoples views -- and this is no different than luke or others leaving the game -- he is leaving or quitting and had all his fighters released -- what made him even think for a second mike would just retire all his fighters seeing how he has never done this before and even refused to do it before when others asked so what made him think this was any different -- also dont think mike released them all cause when he has done it before they all show the same time on free agent market -- they dont show the same time (but mike might of) -- maybe its you that put the self righteous pants on thinking you deserve him more than anyone else

  26. Once retarded, always retarded. Never go full retard bro. Please remind me when I've ever done that? That's right. Never have. So drink a big cup of Go Fuck Yourself. I have a video. Not worth posting unless there's a possibility of gettin the fighter though, and by the looks of the votes not even close to happening. I was thinkin of something along the lines of this. However I think there should be an option to release them into free agency where the highest ranked manager gets them, and another pool for fighters where the highest bidder gets them. If nobody bids on them they retire. A lot of people would like to see some fighters they release instantly retire. This situation though, is completely different than Luke or some manager deciding to quit the game. The manager that asked Mike to release all his fighters, asked for them to be forcefully retired (Puno style). Misinterpreted Mike Tycoon released them all into the wild. Had he known this, he might of held on to them, or some of them, a lil longer. Either way, I have an offer of $100 for a one time thing clearly people woke up on the right side of the bed and put on their self righteous pants they haven't earned.

But to the guys starting out - make no mistake these guy's work is worth 10k+ and there are lots of people willing to pay it too. They wouldn't be overcharging either so don't feel guilty! There is a ton of money out there, just take a look at the contracts being thrown around these days.

  28. ok low IQ guy i am going to sleep but you watch this P.S. i have great idea fro mike to make money. you can SELL fights!? that would be amazing like i have fight tomorrow i sell it to other for for like 30dollars we can argue on that and Mike gets 10-20% from deal. maybe he can put in some think like energy bar for like 1$ it pops you to full energy. or morale booster. or you can but some stats for like a 1-2days for some cash for the fight! that would be great Mike is fucking earning AND i think at this point Mike is earning like 10-20k per month dollars cant understand why he needs more just make other projects leave this the why it is dont try to earn on it more by adding some weird stuff for little kids. OF course guys like Scarlet like that shit because they dont need to put time and effort in the game but just ask mother for the credit card :/.

  31. not really though -- consider like when luke left or other managers with several top fighters -- its not that the fighters werent wanted anymore just real life stuff come up -- well a manager could then just buy them all or end up with an auction where highest bidder gets them -- while that is good for mike its not good for the game thus will end up hurting the game in the long run -- i agree with mike making more money and even finding ways to make more money but just dont think having the ability to buy fighters is correct way -- having the ability to buy a line up of fighters instead of making, creating or getting from free agent market will hurt the game i think again its not that the fighters in question werent wanted they are wanted big difference between cutting a 0-3 fighter cause he has bad chin then cutting a 23-3 fighter cause your leaving the game -- these fighters are wanted by many -- like when luke left game his fighters were wanted by plenty of managers in the game

  39. Nope... the bold part is pretty much exactly why I have changed my mind and with drew my vote. You and others had made your point on that and I concede your point. What you bolded in mine is exactly what you think. I feel that if you sign a contract you should be obligated to honor it. So sacking a fighter while still under contract should be disallowed in my opinion. If you want out of the contract or want to get rid of the fighter in question then M the org owner and work it out. Most org owners are reasonable enough people that an agreement can be reached with little pain. For instance if you were contracted to my org for 5 fights you fought one and discovered that your guy has tissue paper skin and a glass jaw, and you want to drop him. A simple PM and we could begin to come to mutually agreeable terms for his contract being reduced to a one fight deal or him being cut altogether. But what I hate seeing is magers (particularly newer managers) that lose a fight with a guy get pissed or think that fighter sucks (whether he does or not) and cutting him after only fighting one time. That costs ors (particularly newer orgs) a tremendous amount of money and it hurts them pretty badly financially. But if those guys were forced to keep the fighter in the contract or at least interact with the org owner to work out a deal then, it would benefit all. Not to mention it would also work to allieviate his issue. If an unscrupulous Org owner picks up a FA signs him to a $1/$1/$1 contract for one fight and sets him ups against one of his Alliance mate4s or whatever for the purposes of Hype farming or whatever, then as soon as the fight is accepted drops the guy to avoid taking the loss on his record, then this is the perfect cure. Because he could sack the guy as soon as th fight was accepted, but he would not become a Free Agent until after the fight. Thereby, closing the loophole of having the can get crushed with no consequences to the manager that tried that shady bullshit, then they will stop doing it. It is an easy fix that actually rectifies two problems in the game. If you disagree, that is your peroggative, but I think it is a perfect solution. There really is no legitimate reason for simply dropping a fighter mid contract or crushing him and dropping him except to milk the system.

I'm in the other 95% of the populus who when fighting, if I've lost the first 4 rounds wouldn't mind having a few options for fighting the 5th other than doing the exact same thing that didn't work for the first 4. I would be happy with a () if winning use () if losing use but I don't want to take away from the value of SHIG either, so there needs to be some compromise.

  42. Totally agree... you've earned it. Public Gyms are profitable... as long as you have 100+ people in them at $600/week. I assume you mean making them profitable without having to overcrowd them. I think the bigger problem is making a gym that can be viable while still providing quality training. But I think I get what you're saying and I agree Tottally agree with this also. It wasn't until someone did that study of the supps that I realized there is such a small gap between 158 and 160Q products. If by surgeons you mean cut men then sure... why do we need surgeons though? Maybe I am missing something. I loathe the idea of a psychologist though... under no circumstances do I feel that there is a need for that. I think it would be great to have a number of options for your retired fighters. As sparring partners, as cornermen, or maybe even as coaches... Hell, I would love to just see a way to retire your creations without sending them into FA for someone else to take and ruin. This is a cool idea. I think it would be a great addition. I proposed a while back (and I am probably not the first to have done so) an idea for player owned venues as a new business. It got shot down because the idea wasn't developed enough... I am working on developing it more so that I can present it to Mike

  44. Even if the manager leaves, quits or goes awol, its still a fighter that's in the free agency list. It's a free agent. Up for grabs. I can't think of a better reason to pay real money. And no matter how good a fighter is, you still have to be good enough to game plan. If your fighter is that good, you're going to fight top competition. It still comes down to gameplanning. Hell I picked up one of Davenport's monsters and I can't win for shit with him. I really don't have a problem with being able to buy a whole stable of fighters. But if people are scared of that, then limit it to 1 per month or something. And have in-game money equal real money. So if someone bids $50 real money, that's equivalent to $500,000 in-game money (or something like that). That way you don't HAVE to pay real money.

  45. Maybe Torres can talk his way into another fight against a far superior fighter just to get his arse kicked again???

  46. Waaa waaa waaa. "Buying" a free agent has nothing to do with stats. We're talking FREE AGENTS! A guy that SOMEONE ELSE DOESN'T WANT ANYMORE.

  48. Jbomb. I think you can draw a line in the sand where you don't go to that extreme. To me personally I dont pick up FA's so to me this makes zero difference. That being said as a top 50 manager I wouldn't care one bit if people wanted to pay money for fighters. But I do think there is a line that needs to be drawn. There is a huge difference between spending money for fighters and spending money for boosts to your stats. I would have a large problem with people getting a boost for money but that really isn't what is going on. Nor would i think anyone ever would agree to that unless they had a ton of money. Buying a fighter for money makes 0 difference in that fighters skills and that is why I have zero problem with it and yes people can donate to mike but a lot of people like to feel they are getting something in return even if it is just a fighter. I dunno Jbomb I understand you don't want people to pay money for an advantage but to me I care 0 about this advantage because its not gonna make the fighter better. It just gives the option to new players or mid lvl players to get a good fighter. Again I don't pick up FA's I feel no need for them so maybe I am all wrong. But i got to say thats a big leep from buying fighters to paying money to enhance skills.

  49. just watched 4episode and WTF was that? that guy form team Wanderlei won all 3 rounds come on 1 round ok CLOSE but still he did more those fucking 2 takedowns should not count that much and 3 round WHAT THA FUCK he got fucking DOMINATED and wins with 1 takedown and 10sec top control when he even gets reversed ? This shit reminds me of my guys fight http://mmatycoon.com/fightcommentary.php?FTID=429963 where other guy also won a round in the same fashion !? Why does those Brazil judges are as bad as MMATycoons?
