  1. Middleweight Playoff's Round 1 results (Part 2) #2 Antti Kokko vs #15 Saul Jackson Apart from his only MMA loss of his career, Anti Kokko has been astonishing inside the MILF cage with a League record of 3-1 as he managed to snag the #2 seed. The product of Oulu, Finland, Kokko has recorded two first round TKO's and one stellar second round KO via Spinning backfist, the Highlight of his career thus far. Myanmar's very own "Super Freak" Saul Jackson got his MILF career off on the wrong foot but managed back-to-back KOs in his next two fights. Luck would have it those two fights were just enough to get him a spot in the field of 16 at Middleweight as he clocks in at the #15 seed. This fight starts off with a Missed right hand from Saul and Kokko avoids is with ease then moves right into the clinch with the Muay Thai specialist. Standing at a mere 7feet + Jackson wanted nothing to do with the clinch as he relentlessly attempted to break free of the fins clinch lock. Saul would prove to be the much more aggressive fighter as the two would go onto to slugging it out from the distance. One more clinch from Antti around the halfway point but Saul immediately broke free and would quickly launch a hook that misses the mark. Kokko saw it coming a mile away and after avoiding it he would land a brutal Uppercut of his own moments later, that would rock the roots loose from this giant Beanstalk. Timberrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrr.....Down goes Jackson! #7 Lawson Serrano vs #10 Samir Reid A native of Texas, USA, Lawson "The Lawman" Serrano went a respectable 3-1 in his League fights, only dropping one fight to Scott Potter via KO. Serrano though would go on to get a huge feather under his cap just prior to the Playoffs by beating the #1 seed Jake Walton with some vicious Ground and Pound in just under 4 minutes. Samir Reed had a phenomenal start here at MILF winning his first two bouts with first round (T)KO's. He would go on to drop his next bought to Saul Jackson, but with the previous two performances and the 12 points he earned was enough to send him into the playoffs. This fight would get started with Reid landing a counter, right on the kisser of "The Lawman". Serrano though immediately said Fook this and shot in for a quick trip takedown putting the boxer on his back. Lawson would go on to dominate Samir on the mat for the remainder of round 1. Round two starts and yet again Bammmm, Reid lands a nice counter, this time cutting up the heavy favorite with an uppercut. Serrano though, the wise wrestler he is, trips his way into another takedown and jumps right into the guard of his foe. Serrano would mix his Submission attempts very well with his GnP but ultimately it was the GnP that was more effective as he would go on to rock and finish Samir in Round 2 at the mark of 2:59 for the TKO Finish. Quarter Final Matchup #2 Antti Kokko vs #7 Lawson Serrano This fight looks to be very predictable, but the question is who will have the goods to prevail. Kokko is going to look to use his wrestling abilities defensively, to keep this fight on the feet. He went more with a clinch attack in his last bout, but he may need to rethink that process against Lawson. Serrano on the other hand is going to stick to what got him here and that is his superior wrestling and his solid mix of Submissions and vigorous Ground and Pound. Serrano may be the #7 seed but with his win over Walton and the fact that he is currently the #7 P4P fighter on the Island he has to be a strong favorite even against the #2 seed here. #3 Jean Arlin vs #14 Brennan Calhoun Jean Arlin started his young career here at MILF against Jake Walton who proved to be a step above him at the time, putting him at 0-1 in the League. He would then go on a tear winning his next three League fights, all by finishes with in 2 rounds or better, and would go on to take the #3 seed. Brennan Calhoun would go on to a 2-2 League record with one of his losses coming at the hands of Arlin. Calhoun's wins were impressive enough though, as he snagged 12 points with two first round finishes to gain his Playoff entrance. This rematch would start with the Muay Thai fighter in Jean Arlin going to work with his Counter strikes and drawing blood on his rival early. Calhoun though remembered his first meeting and he knew he had a chance as he takes down his opponent with ease and gets in some solid groundwork for the remainder of Round 1. Arlin would once again begin to tee off on Brennan, but Calhoun would have none of it and scores with a beautiful takedown once again. Calhoun's ground and pound seemed to get more dangerous as the fight continued, he would go on to land a perfect 34/34 of his ground strikes, and at the 3-minute mark of round 2 Jean Arlin was looking ready to tap and indeed did. Normally I would violently berate a man who tapes to strikes but it's really not fun when you're stuck and getting plastered with rabbit punches. Calhoun has now evened the score with Arlin as its now 1-1. #6 Francis Brooks vs #11 Adrian Ortiz Francis Brooks had a nice run in the MILF MW league going 3-1 with three Finishes. Two of those finishes were in the first round but his final fight was well earned, as he took out Nick Santorino in round three earning himself "FOTN" honors as well. Adrian Ortiz would get a mere 2-2 record, in the league phase, but those two wins were paved with destruction as he would collect two first round stoppages. "Big Papi" would then go on to challenge Brooks himself in a non-league fight which he would win in dominating fashion. This could be a prime example of just terrible luck as Brooks who had a very good run would get matched up with a guy, he just lost to in a fight just for bragging rights prior to the playoffs. In the rematch it almost felt like it was over before the fight even started as Brooks struggled to mount any offense as he looked to try and counter Adrian's attacks. Ortiz would go on to land just 4 out of his 9 strikes attempted. He would also shoot for an ill-fated takedown attempt which I'm sure was just a diversion, but this fight would be halted with a devasting Left Hook that sent Brooks into Lalaa land. Adrian would follow up with some punches from mount until referee Dick twister intervened. Quarter Finals Matchup #14 Brennan Calhoun vs #11 Adrian Ortiz The final piece of this Quater finals puzzle at Middleweight are two guys coming off of rematch victories. For Calhoun it was sweet revenge and for Ortiz it was just icing on the cake. In this contest we got a deadly Muay Thai specialist in the Dominican Republic's Adrian Ortiz and standing across the cage is the 19-year-old native of Toledo who will look to use his wrestling abilities to bring this one to his world. Calhoun has only been finished once by his Rival Arlin, and he's been in there with JCVD so you know he can take a shot from a god level striker. Ortiz though has some very frightful power so this one will be interesting as the two lowest seeds to prevail look to continue their underdog stories.
