  1. Thanks for the update guys. I'll be submitting a support ticket with the issues.
  2. 1. Clicking to page 1 | 2 | 3 >> etc doesnt work when you are viewing a topic. Workaround until it's fixed: Those links do work from the main forum. You can also right click and copy link, then paste that into the address bar. 2. General point. It seems painfully slow to load some pages, potentially before it's cached. Once cached it seems fast.
  3. The official "introduce yourself" thread. How did you find the site? What's your MMA history? Let's hear it!

Yup, that's definitely what I had in mind for it - stuff like matchmakers etc for fight orgs.
  5. Yeah, I guess Holland would be pretty cool... I think it would be a good idea to have somewhere in a different timezone though. At the moment we've got two cities in roughly the same timezone as Holland (London and St Pete). That's why I think I'd prefer somewhere around Asia / Australasia or Africa for the next one. Plus if we did Holland I don't know how I'd fit it on the map (jk, it wouldn't be a problem, I'm sure).

It's blocked at the moment because the programming isn't finished. It'll be one of the first things we sort out once the game is properly un and running and generating income (if it's something that people want included).
  7. Well, after an overwhelming two votes, I decided that Montreal will do just fine so I've added it today. Use it if you like... or not
  8. Just wondering how you're all finding site speed. The server is based in the UK so interested to hear how it's performing for overseas people. It's a dedicated server so it should be doing OK - I just wanted to check if there's any lag / response time issues.
  9. That's what I voted for so I think that's possibly the way we'll go... We'll see what everyone else thinks though!
  10. Other suggestions welcome. I want to add another city just to check that the process of adding a city works fine in terms of travel, gym creation etc. I'll do this in the last few days of beta but the city will remain in the game from official opening. EDIT - Montreal has been added but feel free to keep voting for other cities because we'll add another one as soon as these 6 get busy / full.

    Fight Dates

please see the other thread(s) where I covered this for you. It's meant to be 3 days max that anyone can be tied up once you sign them, so it's not going to be a problem in the game, even though it has been a problem during beta because of bugs.
  12. If they already have a quick fight booked they won't show up until after that quick fight. I would imagine that is the problem. I am going to try and add "next fight" to the fighter's profile page to make this easy to see... at the moment it's not really possible to see if a fighter has another fight booked.

    Fight Dates

If you sign an exclusive contract it won't cancel any quick fight that you have, no. As grendel says, if you have a quick fight then the date is shown on the quick fights page. Or if you have signed a contract to fight in an org, then there is a confirmed fights section at the bottom of the fight offers page.

    Product Edit

If you changed the image for clothing, then it would change the image for all the people wearing it, which wouldn't be very realistic. I think in the case of what you did just uploading the same one twice, just don't order any more stock of one of them and it will not be displayed when the stock runs out. Maybe we'll add a delete product button for stuff like this though.
  15. The one I knocked up is OK but by all means have a go at doing another one... This'll be just like a competition open for a few months or so and we'll pick the best one.
  16. Good shout - which way round do you think looks better? I think Mon > Tues > Weds across the top will be easier to edit actually so we'll go with that one.
  17. Will add it to the list. Sortable results I'll have to look into because they're auto sorted by hype... Adding ID will be a quick job so will get it done by the end of the week.
  18. Hi, thanks for joining the game! This game has been in the making since late 2007 so it's with great excitement that it's finally open to the public. I sincerely hope that you enjoy the game and we in turn will aim to improve it as much as possible, so that you can continue to enjoy it for years to come. Please visit our help site at mmatycoon.info and in particular our new user guide, to get yourself up and running within the game. Many thanks, Mike
  19. We need a logo for the Quick Fighting Championships. Should not look just like the UFC logo - needs to be individual looking but serious also, not a comedy logo. All contributions welcome and whoever's design is chosen will receive 12 months free VIP. NOW CLOSED AS WE HAVE A LOGO, SO NO MORE SUBMISSIONS PLEASE!
  20. Please submit your ground moves which end in a TKO/KO or submission in this thread. Read the commentary guidelines thread before submitting your entries. Thanks. Notes - Don't mention cuts in your commentary. Cuts are worked out seperately from this type of commentary. - Please keep it relatively simple. Don't mix in serveral reversals, two missed submissions and then a KO or something like that. It just gets a bit too confusing. Try and keep it down to about 3 lines max, when you're typing it into the forum box. - Tactics. Someone can set to do no strikes at all but try submissions. So, try not to mix in strikes and subs from the same guy. Having said that, you can do a submission counter to strikes, so one guy can strike and the other guy can counter sub him. Basically you can counter sub anything apart from a sub. - Winner is always the aggressor on the ground for T(KO)s. There can be counter sub though. Format e.g. Start position: ~ in guard on top. Commentary text: ~ smacks ^ with a big elbow and knocks him out. How exciting. Winner: ~ (aggressor) Winning move text: KO (GnP) or KO (Punch)
  21. Please submit your ground moves where there is not a finish in this thread. Read the commentary guidelines thread before submitting your entries. Notes - Don't mention cuts in your commentary. Cuts are worked out seperately from this type of commentary. - Ground and pound. Please include a head shot in there somewhere. Any ground and pound attack can cause a cut, so we need to make sure the cut doesn't just come from knees to the body cos that would sound stupid. - Please keep it simple. One reversal or scramble per move, just to keep the commentary easy to understand. Try and keep it down to about 3 lines max. - Tactics. Someone can set to do no strikes at all but try submissions. So, don't mix in strikes and sub attempts from the same guy. - Counters. A positional counter can come off any move. - Winner is always the aggressor on the ground for T(KO)s. There can be counter sub though. Format e.g. Start position: ~ in guard on top. Commentary text: ~ throws and elbow that misses. ^ uses the momentum to reverse the position. He's now in ~'s guard. Nice move by ^! New position: ^ in guard on top.
  22. Please submit your clinch KO/TKO commentary in this thread. Read the commentary guidelines thread before submitting your entries. Thanks. Notes - In the clinch, please note that someone can set their fighter to do knees but NEVER do elbows, or punches but no knees. So please keep your attacks to the same type. I.e. don't have an attack with both knees and elbows. - There are currently no KOs with shots to the body. We may try and implement this in the future but for now, you have to finish your opponent with a head strike. Body shots can do massive damage though, so this doesn't mean that you shouldn't use them tactically. - Don't mention cuts in your commentary. Cuts are worked out seperately from this type of commentary. Format e.g. Commentary text: ~ smacks ^ with a big elbow and knocks him down to the floor! ~ dives in and lands more strikes that force the refree to end the bout! Winning move text: TKO (Strikes)
  23. Please submit your standup commentary in this thread. Read the commentary guidelines thread before submitting your entries. Thanks. Notes - Don't mention cuts in your commentary. Cuts are worked out seperately from this type of commentary. - Please keep it relatively short. Try and keep it down to about 3 lines max, when you're typing it into the forum box. - Make sure your submission fits in with the tactics. Make it a KO by punch OR knee OR head kick etc... Don't do a punch, then a flying knee, then an elbow because the manager might not have set them to do those things. The only real exception is "punch combo". I don't mind slipping in the odd low kick to that. It might not be 100% accurate towards tactics but it's close enough - No counters please. Just one attacker at a time. The counters work a bit differently. Format e.g. End position: ~ TKO win Commentary text: ~ cracks ^ with an overhand right that knocks him out cold! ~ Jumps onto the * to celebrate with his cornermen. Winner: ~ (aggressor) Winning move text: KO (Punch)
  24. We'd love for you guys to give us your own commentary ideas and we will add all the best ones into the game. Here are the guidelines for submitting your efforts. Symbols We have 3 symbols in the commentary which you need to know (and use). ~ is the aggressor (the person throwing the punch/kick/attempting the submission). ^ is the receiver (the person getting punched/kicked etc). * is a symbol for displaying either "cage" or "ropes". Note that it's those exact words though, not "octagon" or "ring", so you can't say "came into the *", because if it's a ring then it will say "came into the ropes" and that would sound dumb. So, if you want to say "Couture pushed Liddell up against the cage", you say "~ pushed ^ up against the *". Submitting your suggestions Now, to actually submit your suggestions, please use one of the threads already created. There are threads for standup, clinch and groundwork. Please format your submission as follows. Start position: End position: Commentary text: Winner (if there is one): (aggressor or receiver - note that on the ground we have counter moves so the receiver can be the winner by submission). Winning move text: e.g. Submission (armbar) Note for ground positions: when on the ground, for position put the specific position of the person doing the initial attack, e.g. "Mount on top". Then that's it! If we like your commentary, we'll add it to the game. Once added we will delete your post. Please contribute with your wacky and/or simple and mundane commentary lines because the game needs a good amount of both.
