  1. In my most recent fight I was monstrously superior, and had it at about 50%, a strong wrestler with Wonderful takedowns + Speed should be able to take a Mediocre wrestler down at least a couple times per round, given that he has the gas tank to keep it up. But often I see people go for takedowns, and they gas out doing so, but that makes me think, why is only the guy attempting the takedowns getting gassed like pfuck. Isn't it equally tiring trying to defend the takedown, sprawling, fighting for position in the clinch. It's not like the guy on the offense is doing all the work.
  2. After watching GSP and Fitch fight (especially then) and seeing seeing how wrestling works in the game, why do I get the feeling that wrestling works 80/20 in the favor of standup fighters (in mmatycoon)? I mean, good takedown artists can in all reality takedown people at will, watching GSP takes down previous NCAA champs(Kos, Fitch), guys like BJ Penn and Thiago Alves at will. Gray Maynard, Chael Sonnen, Mr Lesnar, the list goes on. But in the game, taking down people in later rounds sometimes get's really hard, sometimes you have a ridicilous advantage in the wrestling department, where you should take him down at will, but for some reason, your opponent seems like he is BJ Penn himself when it comes to defending takedowns. Another thing is rating system, way too often you see brawls get 100% rating, but compared to technical grappling fights (with hardly any gnp)? The rating system is supposed to show how exciting the fight is, so in general it says that standup fights are always fun and exciting, ground type fights are dull and boring (if you miss more than 1 sub attempt), sometimes even if you takehim down within the minute mark, then sub him at your first attempt, you're still gonna struggle having a so called "exciting fight" Now, am I the only one thinking that standup has too many pros to it compared to ground fighters? Don't get me wrong, I love the new ground sliders, and helps a lot, but in the sport of MMA, wrestling is the most devastating "martial art". Some of the best prospects out there, are guys with NCAA backgrounds, Bones Jones, Mr Wonderful, King Mo, Cain, Carwin, all wrestling guys, but it's yet so hard to implement the same style as pr say Mr Wonderful. Would like to hear other peoples opinion of this.
  3. So all of my guys needs at least 1 sponsor, preferably a clothing company. Yodsanklai Photirat Fairtex (34256) 3-1 http://mmatycoon.com/fighterprofilemanager.php?FID=34256 Andrei Arlovski (34261) 3-2 http://mmatycoon.com/fighterprofilemanager.php?FID=34261 Shonie Carter (34312) 4-0 http://mmatycoon.com/fighterprofilemanager.php?FID=34312 Christian Caldwell (34588) 4-0 http://mmatycoon.com/fighterprofilemanager.php?FID=34588 Hernando Gomez (34590) 4-1 http://mmatycoon.com/fighterprofilemanager.php?FID=34590 Mike Matusow (35112) 2-2 http://mmatycoon.com/fighterprofilemanager.php?FID=35112 Robert Dyrdek (36138) 3-2 http://mmatycoon.com/fighterprofilemanager.php?FID=36138 Benjamin Brat (36801) 3-0 http://mmatycoon.com/fighterprofilemanager.php?FID=36801 All Hilo fighters Peter Pan (53342) 2-2 http://mmatycoon.com/fighterprofilemanager.php?FID=53342 Donnie Darko (53732) 3-1 http://mmatycoon.com/fighterprofilemanager.php?FID=53732 And two Amsterdam fighters.
  4. You shouldn't lose points for trying submissions and failing, after all, you're trying to end the fight while the defender is trying to survive. "Even in a sport jiu jitsu competition you score no points for just sitting in mount. " Well this is MMA, not jj, and you do get points for that in normal mma, octagon control/ground control anyone? So let's throw the unified rules of Mixed Martial Arts out the window.
  5. So we have a brand new sport where octagon control doesn't matter, and being in the most dominant position we have in mma counts for nothing aswell. And obviously, without a doubt, 2 punch combos (which is what, 4-5 punches?) dominates a knockdown. Nice new sport this mmatycoon, cause if you want to make a simulation of a sport, please dont take the aspects you like (STANDUP) and ignore some of the other aspects.
  6. Ehm, I didn't know that the following: Gomez takes a punch to the jaw and another one to the bread basket. And: A nice combination there by Stone. Beats the following: Gomez sets himself and throws a head kick that knocks Stone to the ground! Gomez dives into full mount looking to finish! AND BEING IN FULL MOUNT for over 3 minutes. So I really wonder who should look better the next time before you rant out some random stuff without actually what you're talking about. Maybe two punch combos scores better than a knockdown and full mount for over 3 minutes. Ehm, who the hell am I kidding here... And yeah, he avoided my clinch, but for your information, R Stone missed 15 head punches, 17 punch combos, 1 head kick and 5 leg kicks. And the most funny part is, the two closest rounds (1 & 2) were being dominated by Mr. Stone, but if you read the actual commentery, you're in for a real surprise. And the 3rd round, which was as dominant as can be, was only won comfortably. Hell, maybe he won that too, or what'cha think Mr LeviAJones?
  7. Yeah, given that the opponent did do something, which he didn't... So full mount/top position/lay'n'pray equals losing the round.
  8. Thanks for stating the obvious, but then again, hit and miss. This was never about how exciting this fight was, cause it was boring in this game, and would be boring in real life. And it doesn't take a rocket scientist to figure out that Gomez isn't a grappler, but I have several other grapplers who are yet to gain 100% fight ratings, even with quick subs. Now I want you to comment on the actual topic, thank you sir.
  9. No, how can the first round be a close one, when he got knocked down, mounted, then was on bottom for over 3 minutes? I know lay'n'pray is fucking boring in game, and in real life, but there's a whole bunch of wrestlers that use it to win rounds. So in a normal mma fight, that round would be mine. It's not like Mike Tycoon has invented a new god damn sport with this game, so put back the mma part. I mean really, how can all 3 judges give the round to a guy that got knocked down, mounted and stayed on bottom for over 3 minutes without doing anything. And he only did 3 punches and 3 combos, so even if he landed all of it in the first round, I still should have taken that round. This should have been a 29-28 victory without a doubt. Bad judging happens, stoned+drunk+bribed judges shouldn't. Maybe Mike Tycoon doesn't like the ground part of mma, cause the ratings sure might suggest that. Put 2 slouches in, let em slug it out for 5 seconds and it's a 100% rating fight and the best god damn fight ever. Put two grappling specialist and you wont find a 100% fight, does that mean it's always boring? Does bjj automaticall make it boring? Well judging of how this game was made, it has made us believe that.
  10. Did I just get manhandled by the judges? I mean, check out this one: http://mmatycoon.com/fightcommentary.php?FTID=90452 So in the first round I get the knockdown right before the 2 min mark, and I stay on top for the entire fight, and he dominated me? So I end up losing the fight because my opponent lands 3 punches and 3 punch combos, and I only land 2 head kicks (1 knockdown), 27 elbows and 21 knees. I know there are bad refs, but this wouldn't even happen in a real fight, unless they were bribed. WERE THEY BRIBED?
