  1. Weekend Recap The biggest news I got for you is Ravi Shankoli is still the middleweight champion after defeating Dick Army in the second round by TKO. Which saddens me because I really love Dick...... Army. In fact both title fights this week had the champion hold onto the title. Stephen Bushiri remains the champ for the Bantamweight division after his rematch with predator Burns. The last time they met the fight ended in a draw, so it was a much awaited bout. But in the rematch Stephen Bushiri dominated, losing none of the rounds against Burns. DFN #44 Fight of the Night Edward Kenway vs. Marco Ajax For Edward Kenways debut he sure put on a show winning fight of the night against Marco Ajax. The first round went in favor of Marco Ajax but either his heart wasn't in it, or his conditioning is degrading because he lost the next two rounds. Kenway dominated in the clinch and was slightly better striking from the outside but overall he did an amazing job and won the fight. Winner By decision: Edward Kenway Larson Picker vs Don Fagaro Larson Picker out classed Don Fagaro in a fairly short fight. Picker TKO'd Fagaro nine seconds in the second round. After seeing his performance Fagaro needs to work on his accuracy. Winner By TKO: Larson Picker Bill Newton vs. Guillermo Pato I don't think Pato should of shown at this event, he surely didn't act like he wanted to be there. In his defense he did attempt to throw a few hands but none of them hit and once he was tooken down that was all there was Bill Newton made quick work of that fight. This will also be Bill Newton's second sub of the night in a row, so congratulations to him for that! Winner By Submission: Bill Newton DFL # 151 Peter Parker vs. Eric Staal Peter Parker is back on his feet after two knock outs in a row, I think he'll be getting that title shot to get what was previously his. Although this knockout against Eric Staal came awfully close to the end of the second round, Parker is not a fighter to rest on laurels right before the end of a round. This comes as a set back for Eric Staal who was on a three fight win streak with his last loss being against Peter Parker. He definetly held on a bit longer this time but still couldn't beat him. This means that Peter Parker will be going against Ravi Shankoli, hopefully he's ready for that, I know I wouldn't want to fight Shankoli! Winner By KO: Peter Parker Gracie Allen vs. Karter Kinshaw It's always crazy to see a fighter who dominated two rounds in a row and was on his way to winning the fight hands down by decision to get TKO'd midway through the last round. All he had to do was hold on a bit longer!! But Kinshaw couldn't do it. He landed so many more strikes to. Hell when Allen was leaving the fight he looked like a bus ran over him. It goes to show that Gracie Allen has a strong heart and the eye of a tiger, he didn't back down one bit. Knocking Kinshaw out at 2:50 of Round 3. Winner By TKO: Gracie Allen Lukas Hanak vs. Synyx Stall Hanak has been calling out the lightweight division since his arrival to the DFL. He's been ignored until now, I think. This is his fourth fight in a row He's won, and to put it in perspective he's only had four fights in the DFL. Biro, give this man a title shot!! Hanak is hungry for the belt. Hanak was the much more aggressive fighter. It didn't matter if it was on the ground or on his toes he dominated the match, hopefully he can continue his good performance when fights the top of his division. Winner By Decision: Lukas Hanak
  2. DFN #44 Picker vs. Fagaro Live at the Empire Indoor Arena sponsored by Sin City Allstars. The Main Event Lightweight Bout Larson Picker (18-8) vs. Don Fagaro (17-13) These two have fought previously before and it was during one another's debut match at DFL #96. Don Fagaro won that bout via submission late in the first round. Will tonight be a different outcome? I can't give a definite answer on that. Larson Picker has went onto win 7 out of his next 10 bouts, mainly winning by TKO's or KO's. While Fagaro has went onto to win 6 of his next 11 bouts. Both fighters are very well rounded fighters and can usually handle a fight anywhere in the cage. But when it comes to this particular match Picker is the better striker, but when it comes to grappling Fagaro will have the upper hand. Either way both of these fighters are some of the better lightweigthts so its going to be a huge fight in the division. Co-main Event Lightweight Bout Marco Ajax (35-17-1) vs. Edward Kenway (26-11-3) This will be Marco Ajax's third fight in the DFL, he lost his debut match but came back to beat Dexter Scarface via TKO in the second round of their fight. Now he'll be welcoming an old foe into the DFL, Edward Kenway. Both previously fought for the now defunct underground and have fought each other twice. Both fights went in favor of Edward Kenway, it'll be up to Ajax to turn the tide. With a comparison of the two fighters, Kenway will have the advantage in the stand up, but Ajax will have a significant advantage when it comes to grappling. Main Card Light Heavyweight Bout Mike Snow (16-8) vs. Darth Sidious (22-17) Neither of these two fighters have been able to do any good in the DFL, obviously one of them is going to take home a win tonight. But both fighters surely need it. Mike Snow hasn't won a single fight in the org, while Darth Sidious has only won a fight. Darth Sidious will be the favorite to win in this fight although both are brawlers when it comes to striking Darth Sidious is the more skilled and experienced fighter. But Snow could out the two on an even playing field if he brings Sidious to the ground. Middleweight Bout Guillermo Pato (11-5-1) vs. Bill Newton (12-8-1) Pato and Newton are both young and upcoming fighters and will be the future of the DFL soon. Both are extremely talented young fighters and tonight they'll be facing off. Pato is a superb Muay Thai fighter with 9 wins via KO's while his opponent Newton has 9 wins via submission. Both fighters will be coming into this fight with totally different game plans, it'll all come down to who can impose their will. Pato will have the advantage with his wrestling, so he'll be the favorite to win this fight. Lightweight Bout Sergei Babakov (13-5) vs. Andre Soares (18-12) The Russian Sergei Babakov has been made his presence known in New York. In his four fights since signing up the DFL, he's won three of them. His only loss coming from Tommy Shelby in their second bout, the first one he claimed victory by TKO, but Shelby held on until the end for the second and won by points. After that match he went onto Knockout Junior Iron before the second minute of the first round. Andres Soares is a very well rounded fighter having 8 wins by (T)KO's and 8 wins by submissions. His only loss in Duel so far was against Tommy Shelby in which he lost via TKO. With a comparison of the two, Babakov will have a solid chance to defeat Soares with his much better striking skills. But if Soares can get him to the ground and control the fight it could be another submission win for Soares. Middleweigh Bout Alexander Potter (19-11-1) vs. Terry "Bang Bang" Bogard (10-2) Potter with back to back wins against YB Sol and Vadim Nazarov, will be going against "Bang Bang" Bogard. Both fighters will be coming into this match up with fairly good runs so far. Alexander Potter will be looking to improve his positioning in the rankings bring the second to last although he has beaten numerous opponents. While Bogard will need this fight to break out of the mid table. In a side by side comparison of the two skill sets, Potter will have a dominant striking game against Bogard who is clearly the better grappler. Undercard MW Bout: Black Coleman vs. Robert Munson LHW Bout: Frank Dux vs. Donal Noye WW Bout: Miles North vs. Ogmak N'Bagr
  3. Ravi Shankoli vs Dick Army for the title.... I can't pick a favorite in this one!
  4. Who is Humor? And why do people dislike him?
  5. Hayato Kawajiri (333431) is my fighter.
  6. Well Dick Army you could get the trilogy but it won't be for the belt!
  7. If it wasn't for his Manager being offline for the last few days I feel like his nickname should be ducking... Jimmy "Ducking" Doyle. It has a ring to it right? But I'm the writer so I should have a fair and unbiased opinion.
  8. SyFi 35 Hard Knocks Sydney 08 Apr 2018 Another big event for the fans in Sydney! With the welterweight title on the line and a string of welterweight fights on the card tonight! Welterweight Title Fight © Mike Johnson (3-0) vs. (#1) Bruno Javier Jimenez (5-2) For the welterweight title fight we have the champion Mike Johnson for his first title defense going against Bruno Jimenez. Since Mike Johnson's start in MMA he has been on a tear defeating all three opponents before making it to the judges. He's also showcased how well rounded he is. Johnson has knocked out two of his opponents and submitted his last opponent Pyotr Petrov. The Argentinean Jimenez will be looking the dethrone the welterweight champion. Quite the experienced fighter he is also very well rounded. Out of the five fights he's won, he's submitted three and knocked out two. Since signing up for SyFi he has received KO of the night and Sub of the night. Johnson has proficient boxing and a purple belt in BJJ. While Jimenez has superb Muay Thai and a purple belt in BJJ. When it comes to striking Jimenez would be the better fighter but Jimenez has also been knocked out before leading me to believe he has the weaker chin. Prediction: Mike Johnson By Decision. Welterweight Bout Gideon Navarro (4-1) vs. Jackson Finnegan (2-1) The American Gideon Navarro will be making his way to Sydney for the first time in his career. He had previously finished a three fight contract with IFC in Los Angeles, where he ended all his opponents with his fierce striking. Training with the guys at Big Bear Fight Factory has made him a top of the line competitor. And he'll be wanting to prove his grit in Sydney's number one org. It might just be Finnegan's wake for ole Jackson Finnegan He'll have a lot to prove in this fight but being at a disadvantage to Navarro it'll be a hell of an uphill battle. But the Irish are a fighting kind of people. In a comparison of these two, both these fighters love a KO win but Navarro will definitely be the better striker. Due to his purple belt He'll also be a better grappler. Navarro should have this in the bag, but maybe Finnegan might just have the luck of the Irish on his side! Prediction: Gideon Navarro by KO 1st round Welterweight Bout Tori Kankunnen (3-2) vs. Chris Snoky (6-1-1) Finally winning his first match with Sydney Fighting, Kankunnen will look for his second win at SyFi 35. Although Kankunnen is to poor to aford training at the moment he's been hitting his garage' s punching bag with a lot of determination. His opponent "Smokey" Snoky will be here in Sydney for the first time. His previous fights have been in New York's local circuits and his last fight was out of Tokyo in which he won via decision. So far he's only lost one fight, by a submission. With a comparison of the two it looks like Smokey will be able to use his striking to an advantage. Kankunnen will have the advantage with his wrestling and BJJ. Let's just hope for Kankunnen's garage training can be enough to go against Ole Smokey. Prediction: Chris Snoky by KO Heavyweight Bout Gard Aatrox (3-1) vs. Rosario Fusco (5-1) Gard Aatrox fighting out of Tokyo, with a record of 3-1 will be facing off with the Italian Rosario Fusco. Aatrox made his debut against Alex Jackson at SyFi 24, winning by the way of TKO. The four fights he has had he's won three with his striking and lost one to decision in a very close fight. His opponent Fusco had a great start to his MMA career winning a Heavyweight QFC tournament finishing four opponents with his heavy hands. Although he lost his debut fight at SyFi 10, he redeemed himself with a KO over Johny Henry. Prediction: Gard Aatrox by decision Light Heavyweight Bout Haven West (2-1) vs. Krit Leekpai (1-0) Always thought that if Mobsters were to become MMA fighters they would be strikers not grapplers. Anyways Haven West first MMA match was a loss, but since signing up to SyFi he has been on back to back wins with submissions his choice of victory. His first fight for SyFi was sub of the night. But now he'll be going against Krit Leekpai a deadly fighter from Thailand. Although he's only had one fight, the coaches down at LOD: Top Team have been training him quite a bit. His one and only match was at SyFi 26 which won him KO of the night, it was a pretty quick debut match only lasting 22 seconds. Prediction: Krit Leekpai by TKO Middleweight Bout Nils Ragnaar (0-1) vs. Carl Johnson (1-2) Nils Ragnaar had a fight once, in the QFC, he lost so lot of people thought he quit but in fact he was training. Training with an intensity that some of his closest friends haven't even heard from him since his loss. Now after all that training he'll be making his debut fight against Carl Johnson who is currently with back to back losses in his SFC record. If Johnson losses tonight he should probably take a play out of Rangaars play book and hit the training hard. Prediction: Nils Ragnaar by TKO Welterweight Bout Ingo Butzhammer (2-0) vs. Luc Brood (1-0-1) The German Muay Thai fighter Ingo Butzhammer had his first fight back in SyFi 1 he fought to a decision against Erwin Miller and won. And if you remember that day like I do, you'll know that Ingo is deadly accurate with his legs, I was surprised just as everyone else that Miller didn't collapse after taking six kicks to the head. After that he went onto fight at RISE for a kickboxing fight, he actually ended up losing that by a solid knee in round two. Now he's back at SyFi again even defeating Chris Paul at SyFi 22. Which shocked a lot of MMA fans here in Sydney due to the fact that most people believed Chris Paul was the better Muay Thai fighter. Luc Brood most recent fight was against Risto Halonen, which actually was a rematch due to them drawing the fight before. I don't want to bore the fans here with a review of their two bouts, they were definitely some of the most boring in MMA history. Brood has the more well rounded skill set, he has alright boxing so he might be able to at least maintain a decent chance of survival in the stand up portion of the fight. But with his superior wrestling and BJJ he could very well take Butzhammer down and submit him fairly quickly. Prediction: Ingo Butzhammer by TKO Welterweight Bout Julius Scipio (0-0) vs. Ryan Rylie (5-9) Julius has never even been in a fight yet, but the word on a lot of MMA forums is that Scipio is a beast. Though we haven't been able to confirm it yet! That's why we're going to put a fighter with lots of experience to test the waters out. If Julius can pull off a win, than I'll have to say the word on the forums are true. Julius Scipio has remarkable boxing and a purple belt in BJJ, which is really good with someone whose never had a fight. While his opponent Ryan Rylie has lost four in a row, so hopefully he can beat this newcomer with his experience because his boxing is decent but not great and he only has a blue belt in BJJ. Prediction: Julius Scipio by KO Bantamweight Bout Vikramma Lykke (3-3) vs. Ahmed Magomedov (1-0) This will be Vikramma's first match in the SFC, possibly looking for new territory after losing three straight. He seemed to be very promising in his first three fights, winning them all. When it came to his fourth match, he was submitted in round 1 and hasn't been able to bounce back since then. Ahmed's first fight was a victory by decision in Los Angeles local fight club, now he'll be fighting for the first time in Sydney. The two are fairly even in boxing, whole Vikramma has the advantage in his Muay Thai, and BJJ. Magomedov has superior wrestling abilities. Unless He's going to hug the hell out of Vikramma this might just be a loss for him. Prediction: Vikramma Lykke by Submission Bantamweight Bout Aaron Dale (1-1) vs. (#8) Tebbo Vang (1-1) The Australian Aaron Dale will be fighting for his second time in front of the crowd at SFC. During his first bout at SyFi 8 he won Knockout of the night, finishing Chris Taylor halfway through the first round. Tebbo Vang did a hell of a job in his last match, winning fight of the night on a decision victory. He'll be looking to continue his good performance in this fight. Both of these fighters will probably choose to stand and bang they are both evenly matched so it should prove to be a good fight to watch. If Aaron Dale feels like he's losing the stand up he will have no problem in taking down his opponent with a possible submission victory. Prediction: Aaron Dale by Submission
  9. SyFi 33 Hayashi's Lounge in Sydney 06 Apr 2018 Sydney Fights will be presenting you SyFi 33 live at Hayashi's lounge in Sydney! Don't forget, before or after to stop by Forge Clothing Co.! The Main Event Light Heavyweight Bout Cornelius Albatross (5-1) vs. Ken Ring (5-0) Cornelius Albatross fighting out of Tokyo has had a solid start to his career. Even making a great start to his SyFi career winning by TKO before the first minute in the first round. Currently on a three fight win streak the Muay Thai fighter has his eyes on the prize a title shot for the Light Heavyweight belt. His opponent Ken Ring will be making his debut for SyFi after an Impressive five fight win streak in Sydney's local circuits. In Ring's career he has yet to even enter the second round before ending his opponent with his heavy hands. This should be a very entertaining fight and that is exactly why it'll be headlining SyFi 33. Milner's Breakdown: Both of these fighters are equal all around. Both are Muay Thai fighters and both have the same level of wrestling. The only thing setting these fighters apart is the fact that Albatross might have the weaker chin. Middleweight Bout Apollo Reid (5-3) vs. Mickey Diaz (3-0) Apollo "The Master of Disaster" Reid started his career like most fighters in the local circuits where he went 4-0. After going through a few fight orgs he lost three consecutive fights until finally signing up for SyFi in which he won his debut fight via a Head kick against Darth Bo. Hopefully that's enough for Reid to get the morale back he had lost. His opponent Mickey Diaz has had an impressive start to his career finishing all three of his opponents and winning his debut match for SyFi by a submission. Milner's Breakdown: Apollo Reid seems to have a more balanced approach of all the fighting systems, while his opponent has the advantage in Boxing and a brown belt in BJJ. Unfortunately Reid really only has the advantage with his wrestling. So it'll be a hard fight to win but if Reid can focus on getting the points he could possibly win. Bantamweight Bout Jazz Clementine (3-1) vs. Merrill Willson (3-1) Clementine will be making his debut match for SyFi after a stint in the Rise organization where he went 2-1. His most recent fight had him win against Echart Tolle by TKO. Wilson will also be making his debut. So far he's had three fights in the QFC in which he won every fight by submission. For his only org fight, he had lost by decision. Milner's Breakdown: Clementine will be able to dominate this fight easily, being the better striker and wrestler. Willson's only advantage is his brown belt in BJJ. Middleweight Bout Zedidiah Goldberg (1-0) vs. Reiner Brawn (5-1) Zedidiah Goldberg made his debut into MMA and SyFi with a glorious knock out in the first round. And of course having a fight camp called the Stark Slugger Soceity is a tell tale sign he's going to be an excellent striker. His opponent Reiner Brawn is the much more experienced fighter having a total of six fights. Two of those being with Sydney Fighting both wins by unanimous decisions. Milner's Breakdown: Zedidiah will have absolutely no issue dominating the striking game, he does not however have the wrestling to keep himself standing. Brawn will have the wrestling and once he takes Zedidiah down will be able to submit without much of a problem. Lightweight Bout Philip Moore (0-1) vs. Jorginho Marcelo (0-2) Not a single win for either of these fighters. The good thing is that it will change for one of them. Moore will be making his debut, usually a fighter will want a few wins under their belt through the local circuits before stepping up to the bigger orgs. Marcelo made his debut in his last fight but lost via a unanimous decision against Bob Madden. Milner's Breakdown: Moore has wonderful Muay Thai abilities and even has better boxing capabilities then his opponent Marcelo. Middleweight Bout Misko Raznatovic (0-0) vs. Henning Lind (0-1) The Serbian Raznatovic may have never fought in the world of MMA, but he has a 3-1 record in TWGC where he made it to the Semi-finals before losing a fight to the judges. His opponent that beat him actually went on to winning Division 4. I truly do believe with a committed manager Raznatovic will be one of the top tier fighters in the near future. Raznatovic's opponent Henning Lind is coming into the fight with a record of 0-1. Losing his only fight by TKO at Kamikaze 78 in tokyo. A side by side comparison Lind has the upper hand in striking and wrestling but being a purple belt in BJJ leaves him in Raznatovic's hand if it goes to the ground. Middleweight bout Russell Westbrook (1-1) vs. Gabriel Melo (0-1) Russell Westbrook an Australian native from Melbourne will be making his debut after a two fight stint in the QFC. He lost his first match to John Sullivan who ended up signing for Sydney Fights for two bouts before leaving for another org. Gabriel Melo's only fight was a TKO loss in the first round. Welterweight bout Roy Jones Gracie (1-2) vs. Tulio Souza (6-3) Roy Jones started out kind of rough but after a submission victory against Tommy Lotus, who by the way is 54 years old, has hopefully gotten the confidence he needed to get his career going. No better match than this one, for this will be his debut for this org. Tulio Souza will also be making his debut tonight and is on a three fight win streak. Five out of his six wins have came by the way of submission so you can already guess his game plan. Milner's Breakdown: Roy Jones has remarkable boxing and a purple belt in BJJ. While Souza also has purple belt he does have better wrestling. Light Heavyweight Bout Mikhail Mikhailov (1-1) vs. Travis Banks (0-2) Both fighters coming off of debut losses. Mikhail the Russian striker is aiming for the head to get a KO win on his record while the much more rounded fighter from New Zealand, Travis Banks will be looking to exploit Mikhails weaknesses, which would be Mikhail's back on the ground. Featherweight Bout Nikos Basoukos (0-2) vs. Don Flamenco (0-0) The Greek Basoukos will need to do something to win in this fight. The good thing for him is he should have his inexperienced nervousness under control now. Now that he's been in the cage twice he should be more comfortable than his opponent. The Spaniard Don Flamenco will be making his MMA debut in this event. Flamenco has been training with the boys at The Sydney Combat method so he should be well prepped for this fight. Milner's Breakdown: Nikos has proficient boxing and a blue belt in BJJ, Flamenco has wonderful Muay Thai and also a blue belt in BJJ. I would give Flamenco the advantage in the striking while they would both be equal at grappling. Giving that Flamenco has a good team behind him he should definitely get a win for his first fight.
  10. Lol, I didn't mean like a pat on the back. Just want it to get hyped up in here, want the DFL to be one of the top orgs so there needs to be some buzz around here. But Thanks, for the feedback I appreciate it!
  11. Ain't no damn smack talking going on in here. Anything guys!!! Just say something so I know I'm not writing this for the hell of it haha.
  12. Duel 143: Parker Vs. Ashton 7th of April, 2018 Empire Indoor Arena Middleweight Bout Peter Parker (32-16) vs. Eric Ashton (20-19) Since Parker's entrance to Duel Fighting League he has ended his opponents with his heavy hands. Currently on a six fight win streak, four of those fights being in the DFL not one challenger has been able to being even close to dethrone him from his perch at the top of the division. This isn't the first time Parker has had the title in DFL. If his record holds true, he was the very first Middleweight Champion of the DFL. Way back in DFL #2 He defeated the then Veteran Brandon Couture for the title. That was back in 2016. After fighting many more bouts in the DFL he went onto others orgs such as SYN and Underground. His opponent Eric Ashton will be coming into this fight currently undefeated in the DFL winning his last three fights. Side by Side comparison of the two, Parker has the superior striking skills. When it comes to wrestling and BJJ Ashton will have the upper hand. Bantamweight Bout Barack Obama (24-24-1) vs. Johnny Pearson (14-7) Obama is currently ranked 7th in the Bantam weight class and is currently the Bantamweight Champion of the DFL. Going onto his first title defense He'll be looking to prove to the world it wasn't a fluke. Out of his 24 wins, 12 of them by submission, 6 of them by (T)KO and another 6 by decision. But as many as wins as he has, he has that many losses. Although it seems his biggest weakness is taking the fight to the judges. With 12 losses going to decisions. The contender Johnny Pearson is young for this level of competition, being at the age of 25. But he has shown a lot of promises beating quite a few fighters with loads more experience than him. In his last two fights he has won KO of the night and fight of the night. He relies heavily on his Muay Thai striking skills, other than that not a very well rounded fighter. Middleweight Bout Ravi Shankoli (43-14) vs. Deez Nutzzzz (19-12) Shankoli and Nutzzzz both made their debuts in their last fights and were both awarded fight of the nights. So if that's any sign of what this fight might be like, I think It'll be safe to say this is going to be at least fight of the year. Ravi Shankoli at the age of 35 has had over 57 fights with 43 of those being wins. 79% of his wins come from (T)KOs. Shankoli has been a champion of multiple organizations. And has won a total of five titals. The only one to date he has failed at obtaining would be his two stints in GAMMA. Will he be able to obtain the DFL title? Maybe so he has defeated the current champion Peter Parker while they were in the Ontario Fight Club. Deez Nutzzzz hasn't had quite the career Shankoli has but he has had a few titles. Two times Budo Rei FC champion, and MMA Helsinki champ. Nutzzzz will be coming into this fight with a record of 19-12, 17 of those wins coming by (T)KOs the other two by decision. And after winning fight of the night on his debut He'll be sure to have the confidence coming into this fight to make it another good battle. Eskem Von Ketler (16-6) vs. BJ Penn (10-3) Von Ketler is a very well known fighter within the DFL. He's never won a title but has always been one of the contenders and if your going to make your name here you have to go through him. With a record of 16-6, 10 of his wins came by the way of submission. He generally doesn't stand and bang but if he has too he can hold his own. BJ Penn will be coming into this fight after his debut win against Byron Tipton. With a record of 10-3 And at the age of 22 He's probably one of the younger fighters in this organization. Out of the 10 wins Penn has had 8 of them come by the way of (T)KOs. So both fighters definitely have different preferences when it comes to winning fights. Hopefully Ketler learned from his fight against Pearson, just because their young and slightly less skilled than you, doesn't guarantee you a win. Middleweight Bout Sam witcher (11-2) vs. Peyton Manning (14-9) Sam Witcher with a record of 11-2 is on an 8 fight win streak. Out of those 11 wins, 8 of them came by the way of (T)KOs. He's never been submitted but he has been knocked out once. Peyton Manning is a submission specialist. Submitting 14 of his opponents. Including winning his DFL debut by submission and being awarded the submission of the night. Manning will be looking for the submission against Witcher, as long as he can survive the hands. Super Heavyweight Bout Milktoast Diddlybottom (12-10) vs. Archie Trew (17-8) Milktoast Diddlybottom, standing at a towering 213 CM and weighing 294 Lbs. Is a beast of a man but not if you were to take a look at his record. With only one win since signing up for DFL, after a total of four fights his career isn't looking to good. His last fight was against John Wayne Gracie who submitted him in the first round. I don't just count anyone out before the fight he does have some impressive grappling history on which he came pretty close in the TWGC 7, Until he lost in the Finale. Then we have Archie Trew just a little bit shorter at 195 cm but a few pounds heavier at exactly 300 pounds. Trew will be coming into this fight with 17 wins, which all were KO's or TKO's, and eight losses. Only one fight in his whole career has ever made it to the judges. He even had an impressive record with three managers until the fourth manager who added four losses and only two wins. Fortunately for Trew he's now under a new manager who will hopefully bring him back to his glory days. The days when he fought in three different orgs and was a champion three different times. Milner's Breakdown: Trew will have a very very slight advantage over Diddlybottom with his striking. But Diddlybottom by far has the better grappling abilities. Trew though has never been submitted. Middleweight Bout Eric Staal (17-6-1) vs. Lip Ton (19-14) Eric Staal a former champion Middleweight Fight with a record of 17-6-1 Will be going against Lip Ton a fighter just coming off of a debut win against Joe Walcott. Eric Staal's most recent loss was a title shot against the current champion Peter Parker. After that he went onto beat Castor Rollins by a decision victory. Staal is trying to make his way back to another title shot but He'll have to find his place amongst the contenders in the meantime. Eric Staal will most likely want to use his solid striking skills against his opponent Lip Ton who is a Red Belt in BJJ. Lip Ton "King of the Armbars" has submitted 11 of his opponents. Ton's BJJ is his only real advantage over Staal. Welterweight Bout Johny Persecutioned (27-21) vs. Lee Sin (13-7-1) Both fighters are coming off back to back losses so they'll both be trying hard to get that win in this event. Lee Sin hasn't won a fight in the DFL since his debut. And Persecutioned has always been a back and forth fighter. Comparison of the two they are fairly equal in about everything so It'll be all up to their game plan or ability to adapt. Welterweight Bout Ray Bundles (12-14) vs. Ben Turner (17-10-1) This will be a fairly evenly matched fight. Both fighters coming in with a decent win streak. Ray Bundles has a three fight win streak, out of his 12 wins, 3 (T)KOs and 9 went to the judges. Ben Turner is on a 4 fight win streak, after a rough ending to his Helsinki Career he went through some local circuit and then he jumped back into the bigger orgs. This will be his third fight with DUEL, his two previous fights were victories so he's had a good run of late. Middleweight Bout Alexander Potter (18-11-1) vs. Vadim Nazarov (38-19-4) Alexander had a great start to his DFL career, winning four fights in a row. Then he lost back to back against Eric Staal and Castor Rollins. He came out of the slump against SB Yol in which he beat via a submission. Potter holds a red belt in BJJ with elite wrestling. 13. Duel 142 Review KO of the night winner: Mario Barrera Fight of the Night: Mario Barrera vs. Darth Sidious Sub of the night: Predator Burns Heavyweight Title Fight Quetzal Montezuma (13-7) vs. Brandon Vee (18-3) Winner Brandon Vee by TKO 2nd round 0:55 The rematch I've been waiting for since I started my research for the preview! Montezuma vs. Vee Part two!! Montezuma's debut match for the DFL was a loss by TKO to Vee. Since then Montezuma was on a rampage and eventually won the title. After a seven fight win streak and going into this fight for his fourth title defense the two met again. This time there was a lot more improvement in Montezumas stand up skills. After dominating the first round and even cutting his opponent Vee. Brandon came out the second round with a vengeance. Even cutting Montezuma right before the crushing blow. Finally Brandon Vee after a nine fight winning streak holds the title and improves his record to 18-3. Samuel Kravac (14-9) vs. Cleon Wright (19-6) Winner: Cleon Wright by unanimous Decision Cleon Wright definitely dominated the fight even holding off Kravac' s multiple attempts at submitting him. Kravac had a total of 7 takedowns during the fight but could not submit Wright. Wright took care of the stand up portion of the fight. Wright is now on a four fight win streak. Mario Barrera (20-5-1) vs. Darth Sidious (22-16) Winner: Mario Barrera by TKO 2nd round 2:58 KO of the night and fight of the night Sidious may have lost this fight but after being knocked down twice within the first round and standing up for more is a testament to his will! He even got a little bit of revenge by knocking down Barrera right before the end of the first round. But in the second round Sidious met his end after a punishing blow by Barrera. Heavyweight Fight Daniel Crushman (20-10-1) vs. Barney Rumble (11-4) Winner: Daniel Crushman by TKO 2nd round 0:47 What an amazing debut for Crushman! Winning his debut match by TKO against Barney Rumble. Poor rumble can't get a break losing his second match in the DFL. And it really comes as a surprise because a man who is a veteran kickboxer you'd think he would handle an MMA fighters striking with relative ease. Middleweight Fight Dick Army (25-15-1) vs. Terry Bogard (9-2) Winner: Dick Army by Unanimous Decision Terry Bogard finally met his match in the DFL, although he won the first round, the other two rounds clearly went to Army. In a true show of class the veteran Dick Army is truly a striker you don't want to stand up with. Welterweight Fight Peter Angelov (20-14-1) vs. Cuba Moretti (8-5-1) Winner: Peter Angelov by TKO round one 2:50 Peter Angelov continues his unstoppable warpath in the DFL now on a four fight win streak. Successfully stopping Mr. Moretti's win streak in the DFL. Heavyweight Fight Roger Tiddlywinks (18-10) vs. Fifth Fist (20-10) Winner: Roger Tiddlywinks TKO round 1 0:26 It's sad to see a man who was on a streak of knockouts and technical knockouts to be ended so quickly in a match. Fifth Fist only had one fist in this fight, in which he only landed one punch. Roger Tiddlywink now has back to back wins under his belt hopefully he can continue to make short work of his opponents. Featherweight Fight Predator Burns (23-13) vs. Nino Brown (13-9) Winner: Predator Burns by Submission round 2 2:25 Predator Burns made an impressive debut victory even winning sub of the night. Burns confidence is probably at an all time high and maybe this might be a sign of what will come. Nino Brown still only has one win under his belt in the DFL and now that his contract his up he may soon look for greener pastures. Welterweight match Frank Reilly (21-13) vs. Miles North (8-8) Winner: Frank Reilly by TKO round one 2:33 Light Heavyweight Fight Mike Reilly (10-4) vs. Kieko Lynn (10-7) Winner: Mike Reilly by TKO round 2 1:17
