  1. http://www.mmatycoon.com/images/posters/1543872173JBL10.jpg Another exciting night on the horizon for the great fighters and manager of JAG Battle League one of the best up and coming fight orgs in MMA Tycoon with some of the most active and fatastic fighters in the game. Next Saturday puts the the 145lb title up for grabs in Sydney when defending champ Brayden Point defends his title against Manu Peralta. This should be a great contest between the unbeaten Point and the pretender to the throne Peralta. A full house is expected so if you want to get the good seats you better be there early as this is gonna be a sell out show! Brayden Point Manu "Blessed" Peralta Record 7-0-0 (W-L-D Record 4-2-0 (W-L-D) http://www.mmatycoon.com/gallery/0/15322662702091.jpeg http://www.mmatycoon.com/gallery/39/39w24.jpg http://www.mmatycoon.com/images/belt/20180511221128JBL-ChampBelt.jpg This is Canada V USA fight taking place in Australia so both fighters have a distance to travel for this one! Point is the current undisputed champion of this division and has beaten all comers to date. Fighters are even enough on paper with Point being the better in boxing and wrestling but all other talents are even steven. Point is slightly smaller than Peralta but that won’t phase the champ. Five of Points last wins have been by TKO or KO by way of strikes so he is a man that knows how to hit, but if you think he can only fight one way you would be mistaken as his last title defence was against a decent standup fighter and managed to win by way of submission in the end. Point tends to prefer clinches but isn’t afraid to go toe to toe either. Peralta’s recent record is mixed but he is coming off the back of two wins on the trot so his back is up a bit at present. Three of his four wins have been by way of Submission with his debut win coming by way of TKO strikes so he can throw a punch although he prefers to fight on the ground. Peralta can take a punch (or ten) so he may be able to soak up some damage from Point and counter attack with some takedowns to try to gain the advantage but expect Point to resist this as much as he can! Fancy Point to hold onto the title Chael "The American Gangstar" Sonnen Ethan "Eel" Wright Record 8-1-0 (W-L-D) Record 3-3-0 (W-L-D http://www.mmatycoon.com/gallery/1/1w25.jpg http://www.mmatycoon.com/gallery/32/32b29.jpg Sonnen was unbeaten until his last fight when he was beaten after a tough fight by way of He is of known pedigree while winning belts with his previous org Galdius. Sonnen is a very strong GnP fighter and tends to want to get his fights to the ground early where he can do serious damage on the ground. Most of his 8 previous wins have been by TKO/KO Strikes so expect his to try to takedown Wright on Saturday to use this to his advantage. Wright on paper has the slight advantage on Boxing, MT and wrestling but Sonnen is the much better at BJJ than Wright so he may use this talent on Saturday to good effect. Wright is no make weight here against Sonnen and has three wins to his name with two of the three coming by way of TKO strikes, he has a granite chin and is a big fan of pounding lads into the ground so this may become a war of attrition on Saturday with both fighters trying to pile drive each other into the middle of next week. While Wright is a decent fighter I would have to slightly favour Sonnen in this fight. Michael "Dark Destroyer" Dark Jack King Record 2-4-0 (W-L-D) Record 3-2-0 (W-L-D) http://www.mmatycoon.com/gallery/11/11b3.jpg http://www.mmatycoon.com/gallery/24/24b22.jpg The Dark destroyer looks a little bit tired at the time of writing this preview so I hope he gets some good nights rests between now and Saturday ! He is probably out celebrating his beloved hammers beating Cardiff 3-1 tonight so that might explain the tiredness… Dark is the much better boxer than King but King is the much better MT expert but other than that both these lads are fairly even. Dark had a great start to his career but is coming off the back of four defeats in a row and needs a win to stop the rot. He will most likely try to bring his brawling skills to bear against King and try to stay standing up as much as possible where he is the most comfortable. King likes to clinch and bring the fight to the ground and this may not suit the Dark Destroyer if he is not up for a ground battle on Saturday. King has won three of his previous fights with TKO, KO and armbar submission being his poisons of choice to win his fights so he is definitely a man of many talents. Favour King in this bout Best of luck to all the fighters on Saturday Setanta King
  2. http://www.mmatycoon.com/images/posters/1542454643Invincible.jpg Two big title fights taking place on Saturday when the 205 and 185lbs titles are on the line where the recently vacated 205 lbs title is up for grabs and also Sireika is looking to hold onto hsi 185lbs title which he has held since the 11th August and has defended successfully on 4 separate occasions to date! Top of the bill is Win and Romero in the 205 division. Gunna Win Joel Romero Record 8-1-0 (W-L-D) Record 7-0-0 (W-L-D) http://www.mmatycoon.com/gallery/19/19w1.jpg http://www.mmatycoon.com/gallery/33/33w15.jpg Gunna is a JAG regular and he steps into the ring with new boy Romero on Saturday, Gunna has contested this belt before when he was defeated by the machine that was Budo at the time. Budo was undefeated but had to be stripped of his title when he left MMA to join a Buddist temple in Nepal to go on his spiritual journey to “find himself”. This left the title empty until one of these fantastic fighters takes the belt home on Saturday. Gunna is better at both boxing and MT than Romero but Romero is way better in BJJ and Wrestling. Win has eight wins under his belt and 5 have been by KO - Punch with the other 3 by way of TKO - Strikes so his forte is definitely is in standup or clinchwork so expect more of this at the weekend. Gunna tends to win early and fast and has serious KO power, most of his fights don’t go past the first round. Romero is the Ying to Gunna’s Yang as he is an unreal fighter on the canvas and all of his seven previous fghts have been ended by way of submissions and in very short order too as they have not really gone beyond the first round in any of his fights. Expect Gunna to try to stay on his feet and use his advantage and Romero to try to hit the floor with Gunna. I don’t think Gunna has fought anyone like Romero to date so let's see how he handles him, I think Romero might win this one. Arnoldas Sireika Richard "Ice Man" Kuklinski Record 8-0-0 (W-L-D) Record 6-1-0 (W-L-D) http://www.mmatycoon.com/gallery/6/6w18.jpg http://www.mmatycoon.com/gallery/43/43w16.jpg http://www.mmatycoon.com/images/belt/20180511221128JBL-ChampBelt.jpg Tale of the tape on this one shows that the current champ Sireika has the better talent in Boxing and MT but with the challenger having more skill in BJJ than his opponent. Ice man is a new addition to the JAG stable and he brings some real pedigree with him with 6 wins to his name currently. This is his first fight for JAG and he is a brave man to step into the ring against the machine that is Sireika. Let's see if the fresh blood can take Sireika down where others have failed in the past. Sireika likes to stay standing and six of his eight wins have been by way of TKO Strikes which is using his excellent MT and KO power to the best effect. Sireika does like clinching but is equally good when going toe to toe and his accuracy in the clinch for strikes is second to none. Ice man has a solid chin and dangerous Ground and pound so I would expect him to try to take Sireika down where is less comfortable and try to end the fight that way, given Ice Man’s better wrestling if he manages to take Sireika down there is a good chance he will succeed where all others haven’t in the past. Given Ice Mans ability to soak up damage and skill on the canvas this might be an uncomfortable night for Sireika Julio Cesar Sitsongrit Chael "The American Gangstar" Sonnen Record 5-0-0 (W-L-D) Record 8-0-0 (W-L-D) http://www.mmatycoon.com/gallery/25/25w19.jpg http://www.mmatycoon.com/gallery/1/1w25.jpg http://www.mmatycoon.com/images/belt/20180511221128JBL-ChampBelt.jpg No title on the line here but two interesting and experienced fighters taking to the cage on Saturday. Sonnen is a new addition as well so welcome to the JAG family and hope you enjoy your time here. Cesar on paper seems to better in all areas of carnage other than BJJ where himself and Cesar are level pegging on paper. It will be a shame but one of these fighters is going to lost their undefeated streak on Saturday! Cesar despite being raised with a silver spoon in his mouth and the best of private boarding school education from his wealthy family in Brazil has shown an absolutely ruthless streak when he enters the cage and has on several occasions nearly killed his opponents when pummelling them into various degrees of submissions. Sonnen has excellent wrestling and striking skills so he has a variety of means at his disposal to win this bout, his tactics to date have been close to opponent take them down and then they become the nail and he is the hammer with his strike rate on the ground being extremely accurate and indeed deadly as he doesn’t miss. Hard to call this one between great fighters but think Sonnen might shade it. Best of luck to all the fighters on Saturday
  3. http://www.mmatycoon.com/images/posters/1542056313JBL%209.jpg Next JAG event takes place on the 16th November in Las Vegas with a full house of fights on the card. Top of the billing goes to Peralta V Top Manu "Blessed" Peralta Thip Top Record 3-2-0 (W-L-D) Record 4-0-0 (W-L-D) http://www.mmatycoon.com/gallery/39/39w24.jpg http://www.mmatycoon.com/gallery/33/33w7.jpg Two reasonably experienced fighters take to the cage to try to beat each other into a bloody pulp with Peralta being the slightly more experienced and heavier fighter on Saturday. Top has four wins to his name and is an exceptional MT fighter having taken Micheals out in his last fight with a head kick! He is also better at boxing but Peralta is the much better in BJJ so is likely to try and use this to his advantage. Two of Peralta’s three wins have been by way of submission with one TKO for a bit of variety in his debut fight. He is well able to take a punch and will have to do so at the weekend when it’s likely that Top will come at him with fists and legs flying! Peralta beat the much fancied Stoichkov who was 6 fights unbeaten before their fight so his confidence should be high for this fight. Top has the advantage in standup between these two so expect him to want to keep the fight from hitting the floor. Kinda fancy Top slightly in this fight. Next up is Jones V Steel Jim "Don’t Drink The Juice" Jones Jack Steel "Hammer" Record 2-0-0 (W-L-D Record 1-0-0 (W-L-D) http://www.mmatycoon.com/gallery/7/7w13.jpg http://www.mmatycoon.com/gallery/1/1w26.jpg Two new additions to the JAG stable take to the cage in this fight with both fighters looking pretty even on paper. Jones has 2 wins to his name and both have been ridiculously quick ending in 5 seconds and 35 seconds with the biggest injury risk to Jones occurring when he slipped on some water in the ring from his corner rather than from his opponents! Jones is a fast powerful KO machine so the Hammer better be ready! Steel is no slouch if his debut fight is anything to go by, he won by way of decision but how the fight lasted I don’t know unless he punches like a baby as he threw a total of over 200 punches with fantastic hit rate of 58% landing so his opponent soaked up the punches and stayed standing but due to the massive amount of hits landed the Hammer won easily on a points decision. He has a granite chin himself so this fight could be an absolute beut between two very good boxers. Johnny Swagger Leonardo "Leo" Yoshi Record 3-1-0 (W-L-D) Record 3-0-0 (W-L-D http://www.mmatycoon.com/gallery/18/18w6.jpg http://www.mmatycoon.com/gallery/42/42b28.jpg Two more JAG “Noobs” fighting in the cage for this bout but both with some fighting experience outside of JAG. Swagger is a wonderful boxer and really outshine Yoshi in this department however Yoshi is the better MT and BJJ fighter for this one. Given Swaggers obvious talent in boxing and his street smarts it’s not surprising that he favours stand up fighting and I wouldn’t expect this to change for this fight. His punch accuracy is second to none with a near 90% hit rate on his punches so Yoshi better be ready to get hit! All three of Yoshi’s wins have been by way of submission to date so expect the exact opposite of what Swagger will be trying to do with Yoshi trying to get to the floor to use his considerable advantage on the canvas. Yoshi is well able to take a punch so unless Swagger can put him on his ass quickly Yoshi might get the upper hand in this fight. Yoshi won his last fight in less than a minute when he tried to snap his opponents leg in half when dropping onto him. Best of luck to all the fighters and managers taking part and in particular to the new arrivals to the JAG stable. It’s great to see so many new fighters taking part in this event and I can’t wait to preview some of your future fights. You have joined a progressive, active and great org which is going to achieve some great things with all of your help. If you like this post please up Fight hard and Fight well and you will get your title shot! Setanta King (123512)

  5. http://www.mmatycoon.com/images/posters/1541454890proving%20grounds.jpg Hard to top last week’s fantastic event but here’s hoping that Proving Grounds (pun alert…) “proves” to be equally as good if not better. Top of the billing goes to to new additions to the JAG stable with Romero and Bussa crossing swords in London on Saturday. Joel Romero Head Bussa Record 6-0-0 (W-L-D) MMA 9-4-0 (W-L-D) http://www.mmatycoon.com/gallery/33/33w15.jpg http://www.mmatycoon.com/gallery/40/40b18.jpg Two very experienced fighters take to the ring for the top billing with Joel being undefeated in his 6 previous outings. Stats on this fight show that Bussa is the much better boxer and Romero definitely stronger in MT, Wrestling and BJJ. Romero is a belt holder from his previous org where he held the 205lb division belt. All of Romeros wins to date have been by way of Submission and all have ended in the first round as well so he is an aggressive fighter. Given Romero’s talent in groundwork it’s not surprising that he tries to get all his opponents to the floor as quick as possible and don’t expect this to change on Saturday, he will try not to stay standing for too long and if he can get him to the ground it gonna be lights out for Bussa and this fight is over… However don’t expect Bussa to go down easy as this is a man that is a somewhat decent wrestler and is a powerful boxer, he can mix his methods of attack up and can throw a punch or slip into some ground and pound so Romero might not actually get it all his way if the fight goes to ground. Bussa’s nine wins have came by way of 3 TKO and 6 Decisions so this man has an engine that can run and run whereas Romero hasn’t had to go more than one round to date. Bussa can definitely swing his hands as in one of his previous wins by decision he swung his hammers over 100 times over the course of the fight but admittedly they were wild enough until he got better hits with his ground strikes when he hit 50% of the time from 22 ground strikes. This fight should be interesting with the two contrasting styles on show. Next up is a JAG regular Drunk against a JAG noob in the form of Smith Punch Drunk Hunter Smith Record 6-2-0 (W-L-D) Record 5-1-0 (W-L-D) http://www.mmatycoon.com/gallery/20/20w14.jpg http://www.mmatycoon.com/gallery/34/34w9.jpg Drunk is the better of these fighter in both MT and boxing where he holds a distinct advantage over Smith but Smith is way ahead of Drunk in BJJ and slightly better in Wrestling. Drunk has 6 wins to his name with all coming from KO (X5) and TKO (X1). He even ended one fight by way of a superman punch! Drunk has excellent MT and has definitely the capability to knock any opponent out, he is very accurate and lethal with his fists and when he swings he doesn’t tend to miss. He has great capacity to end fights early and all but one of his fights have ended in the first round. His 2 defeats have been to fighters that could soak up his hits with granite chins then hit back. Smith has had all his wins by way of TKO (X4) and KO (X1) he has been known to have a granite jaw so Drunk may be in trouble here! Smith likes to fight on the ground so expect him to try to takedown Drunk then start to pound him into submission. Two very similar fighters with great stopping power but with Smiths ability to soak up punishment I would favour him slightly here. Mathias Wendel Finnick Skywalker Record 5-3-0 (W-L-D) Record 3-2-0 (W-L-D) http://www.mmatycoon.com/gallery/8/8b2.jpg http://www.mmatycoon.com/gallery/40/40w11.jpg On paper both of these fighters are evenly matched across all the skills with Wendel very slightly better than Skywalker in boxing, but only slightly. Wendel is coming into this fight off the back of two successful title attempts against current champ Tiago Alexandre, so that is no disgrace, he ran Alexandre to nearly three rounds the last fight so he learned from the past anyway. All of his wins to date have been by KO - punch and two of his defeats have been by way of submission he throws a real haymaker and when they connect it is usually lights out for his opponents who tend to wake up usually two days after their fights wondering how they got to the hospital! Wendel doesn’t miss with his punches so Skywalker you better be in tune with the Force to try to avoid them on Saturday, Funnily enough Skywalker has also just lost recently to Alexandre so maybe these two might swap war stories before the fight on Saturday to see if there is anyway to topple Alexandre from the top of the pile. Skywalker also has the ability to floor opponents and is heavy handed. Skywalker tends to favour striking in the clinch and has been known to throw 201 punches in one of his last fights in the clinch with a hit rate of the 201 punches of 54% so not too shabby. Expect Wendel to want to stay at arm's length with Skywalker trying to clinch and pummel Wendel into oblivion. Best of luck to all fighters and manager on Saturday
  6. http://www.mmatycoon.com/images/posters/1540932780Glad%20Max%20III.jpg The excitement is building in Sin City for what should be a right battle for the JAG Battle League Middleweight title on Saturday. There is a fantastic three titles up for grabs with Sireika and Maximus topping the bill with their 185 lbs Middleweight title fight. Sireika has been phenomenal to date and this will be his 4th defence of his title with his most recent successful defensecoming on the 13th October last against CJ Johnson. Also up for grabs is the lightweight 155 lb title which is being contested by current champ Tiago Alexandre who has held this divisions belt since it’s incorporation and he will probably feel that that is actually his belt! Rumour has it that he actually sleeps with the belt so I’m sure Sitsongrit if he wins will need to get it well cleaned before taking it home Last title bout on the night is the 145 lb Featherweight title showdown of current champ Brayden Point and Unai Vencedor. This is not Vencedor’s first shot at the title as he challenged Frank Stallone for the belt when it was first incorporated but lost on the night so he will hope that second time a charm in Vegas on Saturday. Arnoldas Sireika Brutus "The Roman" Maximus Record 7-0-0 (W-L-D) Record 6-1-0 (W-L-D) http://www.mmatycoon.com/gallery/6/6w18.jpg http://www.mmatycoon.com/gallery/42/42b14.jpg Sireika is the current undisputed champ in the weight class and has seven wins to his name with Maximus having nearly as good a record with only one loss to his name to date. These are 2 individual fighters and Maximus has the better boxing talent but Sireika has much superior MT skill. Both fighters are even enough on all the other skills so it may turn into a bit of a slugfest on the night, hard to call which fighter this would suit more as Sireika has 5 wins by TKO and 2 decisions and Maximus has 6 wins by TKO. Sireika doesn’t like fighting on the canvas but is no pushover either if the fight is grounded as he has wons against Takashi previously who is a canvas specialist and even with his superior talent in GNP he still couldn’t defeat Sireika. Maximus is lethal with his fists as he strong as an ox and he has ended all his fights in the first round by way of strikes of punches (all TKO’s) so he has definite skills in putting fighter on the floor, his longest fight to date was 2.37 minutes! Maximus is definitely not going to sit back and respect the title holder and Sireika could be in trouble with this challenger as I suspect Maximus is gonna try to end this fight quick before Sireika can counter and clinch and wear Maximus down. Really on the fence here and can’t call one way or the other but given his experience might favour Sireika Tiago Alexandre Julio Cesar Sitsongrit Record 7-0-0 (W-L-D) Record 4-0-0 (W-L-D) http://www.mmatycoon.com/gallery/27/27b1.jpg http://www.mmatycoon.com/gallery/25/25w19.jpg Alexandre is the current holder and is another fine fighter from the renowned fight stable run with an iron fist by the Dictator (he also manages Sireika above). These fighters on paper are fairly evenly matched with Sitsongrit slightly ahead on boxing and wrestling but is a much better MT fighter than Alexandre. BOth of the fighters have had all their wins by way of submissions and one decision each so it doesn’t take a genius to guess how this fight might pan out! The challenger Sitsongrit is no slouch when it comes to his fighting talent on the canvas and has four wins from four fights and has ended all but one of these fights in round on with only his decision victory going the distance. Similar to Alexandre Sitsongrit prefers to fight on the counter rather than to be the aggressor so we may have a fight where these two circle each other like two fifteen year olds at their first school disco wondering who is going to make the first move! Sitsongrit cuts easily so if Alexandre wanted to try something new (i.e. use his boxing/MT ability) instead of taking Sitsongrit down to the floor he might end the fight a different way, but who am I to suggest such a thing to the champ of the division….. This fight is going to go down to who’s better on the canvas and I would have to slightly favour Alexandre given his previous experience. Next and last title fight on the night is the pairing of Point and Vencedor in the Featherweight division Brayden Point Unai Vencedor Record 6-0-0 (W-L-D) Record 6-1-0 (W-L-D) http://www.mmatycoon.com/gallery/0/15322662702091.jpeg http://www.mmatycoon.com/gallery/8/8b8.jpg Point is the incumbent title holder and worthy champ with six wins from six outings. Point on paper has better wrestling and BJJ & marginally better boxing than Vencedor but his opponent is a wonderful MT fighter and has Point beaten all ends up in that department. Vencedor has had a previous unsuccessful shot at this title at the start of September last when he was beaten by submission against Frank Stallone, other than that Vencedor has performed remarkably well and has won all his other fights either by KO or TKO’s. He has a granite chin and fights quick and hard and all his fights bar one had ended in the first round, his punch accuracy is lethal and he lands more than he misses! Point is another excellent fighter and has won all his fights bar one by way of either punch or TKO - Strike. His one other win was his debut fight which he won by way of submission, he is another quick fighter and only one of his fights has gone past the first round. Unfortunately for Vencedor Point has already beaten Frank Stallone to win the title (Stallone has previously beaten Vencedor in a title fight) so the advantage looks to be with Point on the weekend, unless he gets a bit cocky and thinks he has it won before stepping into the cage…. Point has been equally lethal with his fists and when he gets into clinches he can be particularly dangerous. If Vencedor let's Point get too close Points big right hand might end the fight very early! Would fancy Point to keep the belt on Saturday That’s all for now and best of luck to all the fighters and managers on Saturday night. Please don’t forget to read the fantastic interviews that Dusty had conducted with the title contenders on the forum at the following link, well worth the read and once again great work by all concerned. http://www.mmatycoon.com/forums/index.php?showtopic=62404&page=2
  7. Well done to Arnoldas Sireika in successfully defending his title last week when he dispatched his worthy opponent CJ Johnson in round one of middleweight title fight in Las Vegas in front of 3,000 screaming fans. Sireika won the fight by way of TKO Strikes in round one when he was unloading strike after strike on Johnson when he was on his knees until the referee had to step in to end his pain. Next event takes place in Sin City again and top of the bill is the 170lb showdown between Alexandre and Skywalker. Tiago Alexandre Finnick Skywalker Record 6-0-0 (W-L-D) Record 3-1-0 (W-L-D) http://www.mmatycoon.com/gallery/27/27b1.jpg http://www.mmatycoon.com/gallery/40/40w11.jpg Alexandre is the current holder of not one but two JAB Division belts, he is the holder of the 155lbs and the 170lbs titles showing that he is no one hit wonder. This is Skywalkers first title shot and he will have a hard battle against the cardio machine Alexandre. Skywalker whilst being the underdog here has a decent pedigree and in his last fight took out Skrtic by way of TKO strikes, no mean feat as Skrtic up to that point had only been beaten by the welterweight JAG champion (note he was however beaten twice by Wendel in successive title fights). On paper Skywalker is the better boxer and has wonderful MT skills to boot whilst Alexandre has the better of him in the BJJ as he has a brown belt to Skywalkers white belt. Alexandre definitely uses the BJJ to his advantage as he has won 5 out of 6 fights by way of a variety of submissions with one decision, he is a counter fighter so usually lets the other guy come to him then try for takedowns. Alexandre is a tough nut to crack as Wendel hit a 2 punch combo to start the fight and cut Alexandre within seconds but he recovered to win by way of submission. Don’t expect Alexandre to stand up and fight toe to toe but if he gets Skywalker down to the ground Skywalker is in trouble. If Skywalker can keep distance and take potshots at Alexandre he might just walk away with a belt on Saturday Next to top of the bill is the 265lb pairing of Cutt and MBaku, no title up for grabs just some honest to God violence for the paying punters. AKimbo "Dual Blade" Cutt Madik "Lil Budo" MBaku Record 6-1-0 (W-L-D) Record 3-0-0 (W-L-D) http://www.mmatycoon.com/gallery/32/32b11.jpg http://www.mmatycoon.com/gallery/0/15286860223170.png Cutt is the much more substantial of these two animals weighing in at nearly 268 lbs against MBaku’s 246 lbs so I wonder will Cutt’s weight advantage work for or against him on Saturday? MBaku is an exceptional wrestler and has purple belt in BJJ while Cutt is a wonderful boxer and is miles ahead of MBaku in the MT department (Cutt honed his boxing skills while serving 15 years for armed robbery where he fought bare knuckles so this man can hit!) . Cutt’s record is very good with only one defeat and all of his wins have been by way of TKO’s and is known to be heavy handed. Most of Cutt’s fights end pretty quickly and his quickest win to date was 5 seconds! He is a standing specialist and should be interesting to see how he fares against the more talented groundwork specialist that is MBaku, MBaku has won all 3 of his previous bouts and not surprisingly all by way of a variety of submissions. This fight is interesting in that Cutt will want to stay standing and MBaku can’t wait to get to the floor and use his submissions skills on Cutt. Hard one to call. Next is Jones V Guy Bubba "Jethro" Jones "The Guy" Markus Guy Record 2-1-0 (W-L-D) Record 5-3-0 (W-L-D) http://www.mmatycoon.com/gallery/0/15309459917293.png http://www.mmatycoon.com/gallery/38/38b4.jpg Jones is coming off the back of two wins so his morale is high and confidence is high, his last 2 fights were wins by way of KO’s when Bubba’s mean right hand knocked his opponent out cold and the ref had to save the day. He can fight equally well in the clinch and when standing off his opponent and he has the better skill in both boxing and MT that his opponent on Saturday. Guy however has a small advantage in wrestling over his opponent. Guy’s best chance on Saturday probably lies in his powerful wrestling ability but he has been known to throw a punch or two in the past! Guy has some wins and some losses and most of his wins have been by way of KO and TKO’s so he is not a one trick pony. I kinda fancy Jones to sneak this one. Next up is Dikoume V Hickings Marcel "The Python" Dikoume Charlie Hickings Record 5-2-0 (W-L-D Record 4-0-0 (W-L-D) http://www.mmatycoon.com/gallery/41/41w24.jpg http://www.mmatycoon.com/gallery/0/14060592457708.jpg Dikoume is only better in BJJ than his opponent on Saturday who is miles ahead in boxing and MT so this should be interesting to see how it goes! All of Dikoume’s wins have come by way of submission which is not surprising given his very good takedowns and quick and his brown belt in BJJ, he does look a little shaken and his morale is on the floor for some reason! Hickings is on a roll and has 4 wins with no losses to date. He looks a little like his idol Vinny Jones and let's hope that he doesnt’ start smashing doors on people's heads on the way into (or after) the fight on Saturday. Hickings spends his spare time kicking peoples ead’s in in London and reading graphic comics, about kicking heads in.. His 4 wins have been by way of KO X 3 and one TKO so he has some ability with his fists. If he can keep this fight standing he will win this one easily Best of luck to all the fighters and managers Setanta King
  8. Next big event in the JAG Calendar is the 185lbs showdown between Sireika and Johnson. This is an interesting contest in that Sireika has owned this title since he beat Takashi to take the belt on 11th August 2018. He is no coward and has defended the title on 3 seperate occasions to prove he is no flash in the pan. Lets see how Johnson fares on Saturday night in what’s expected to be a heaving Las Vegas venue. Nate Baker will be hoping that these fighters behave themselves, both in the ring and after the fight…. Or will he…… Just think of the grudge rematch if things did kick off outside the ring Arnoldas Sireika CJ "Bad Man" Johnson Record 6-0-0 (W-L-D) Record 5-0-0 (W-L-D) http://www.mmatycoon.com/gallery/6/6w18.jpg http://www.mmatycoon.com/gallery/0/15319132153161.png Bad man hails from Sydney Australia and has earned his title when living on the streets of Kings Cross Sydney where he had to do a lot of bad sh*t just to stay alive and this has moulded him into the fighting machine that he is today, he has 5 wins from 5 to his name and has won 3 by way of unanimous decisions and 2 by way of TKO Strikes. He is a very confident fighter and tends to strut around the ring geeing up the crowd. He is a good man for clinches and MT and prefers to stay standing if he can where he can show some excellent ability in MT. He has gone the distance in his first 3 fights but has finished his opponents much quicker in recent times with his 2 TKO’s happening in round one of his last 2 fights. Current holder Sireika is undefeated in 6 fights and is flying high at the moment. He has won 4 of his fights by way of TKO and 2 by unanimous Decisions. He has a fantastic fists and has the ability to floor anyone that gets in his way, he prefers using fists and standup as much as he can but he did really well in his last fight to win by a one point decision when Takashi spent the whole fight bringing the fight to the floor with 59 takedown attempts (only 6 succeeded however) and of the 6 takedowns Takashi obviously thought Sireika was a nail and he was the hammer when he tried nearly 70 ground strikes but Sireika defended well and did some serious damage when standing and clinching when he missed only twice with his punches for the whole fight. This title fight should be interesting as both fighters like standup and clinching so this might be a war of attrition in Las Vegas on Saturday. Second to the title fight is the pairing of Vencedor and Davis Unai Vencedor David "Animal" Davis Record 5-1-0 (W-L-D) Record 3-0-0 (W-L-D) http://www.mmatycoon.com/gallery/8/8b8.jpg http://www.mmatycoon.com/gallery/36/36b1.jpg This on paper seems reasonably evenly matched with the Spanish matador taking on the Animal from Australia. Davis shades the boxing and wrestling skills (only slightly) and Vencedor is miles ahead when it comes to MT. Vencedor’s only defeat was in his last fight when he was challenging for the featherweight title against the impressive Stallone. Vencedor has an insane ability to soak up damage and is very fond of stand up and clinchwork and all of his wins have been by way of KO and TKO’s, his one defeat was by way of submission so expect Vencedor to want to keep this fight standing. Davis is a smart lad and can use his ability to think n his feet to change his game plan if things aren’t going his way and is a decent boxer and wrestler. He has defeated Manny Johnston who was also one of Vencedors previous successful fights. Davis lives up to his nickname and fights like an animal and is very keen on both standup and clinching so this fight could be a contender for fight of the night! Both these lads like throwing punches but with Vencedors granite chin he may be the slight favourite here (in my humble opinion). Next up is Mottus V WInger Taavi Mottus Second "Center" Winger Record 4-1-0 (W-L-D) Record 1-0-0 (W-L-D) http://www.mmatycoon.com/gallery/6/6b13.jpg http://www.mmatycoon.com/gallery/40/40b8.jpg Tale of the tape on this one shows fairly even on all fronts other than Mottus who has the advantage in boxing, but his ability even in this is pretty woeful! Mottus who hails from Estonia has a pretty good record to date and has 4 wins and 1 loss which came by way of strikes to Gunna Win who is a regular battler for JAG and has 7 wins to his name so no shame in losing to him. All Mottus wins to date have come from TKO’s by way of Strike (X2) or KO by way of Punch (X2). Mottus has real KO power and has ended all his fights in round one with his quickest win was in less than one minute against Bobby Dee who was drinking from a straw for a couple of weeks after their bout! “Center” by comparison has only one win to his name but it was his debut fight and he won easily by way of KO punch although there was some shades of controversy about the ref calling the fight and some people thought they fight should have continued! Center threw 18 punches and 17 landed so he is an accurate fighter and has good capacity to take a punch with his granite jaw which will be tested on Saturday I’m sure. Can see the noob to JAG taking an Eastern European scalp on Saturday! Next on the card Top V Michaels Thip Top Pat "Music" Michaels Record 3-0-0 (W-L-D) Record 3-4-0 (W-L-D) http://www.mmatycoon.com/gallery/33/33w7.jpg http://www.mmatycoon.com/gallery/1/1w16.jpg This fight looks interesting in that Top is an exceptional MT fighter is better than Micheals at wrestling but Micheals is the better boxer and has a blue belt in BJJ to Top’s white. Top is the less experience of the fighters but has 3 wins and no losses to date with 2 wins by TKO (Cut) and one submission so he is not a one trick pony. Top has elbows like razors and this has been the cause of his two TKO wins when he opened up his opponents with elbows. Micheals will need to be careful in the clinch as Top is very capable when using his elbows and can do serious harm. Even Tops Submission win was by way of strikes and one again it was the elbows that caused his opponent to tap out. Michaels has a chequered history to date with 3 wins and four defeats however his last fight was a win so his tail is up a little at present. His 3 wins were by way of Submission (X2) and one decision. He has some talent when it comes to clinching and punches but his best bet for this fight is to stay on top of his opponent on the canvas as if (please excuse the unfortunate pun I’m about to state) Thip gets on top of Micheals on the floor the music could be stopping for Michaels.. Best of luck to all the fighters and managers on the night and may the best men win.
  9. Initiation II Next battle on the books takes place in London on Saturday night with 2 titles on the line again the 170 and 145 lbs divisions. Top of the bill is the 170 lb title bout between Alexandre and Wendal. Tiago Alexandre Mathias Wendel Record 5-0-0 (W-L-D) Record 5-2-0 (W-L-D) http://www.mmatycoon.com/gallery/27/27b1.jpg http://www.mmatycoon.com/gallery/8/8b2.jpg Alexandre is the holder of the title at present but it’s been a see saw battle between himself and Wendel with Wendel holding the title twice before losing to Alexandre in the middle of September last. Wendel’s last defeat was to Alexandre when losing the title when beaten by way of submission by Alexandre. Wendel is really keen to get what he feels is “his” title back and this adds some a real edge to this fight! Wendel tapped out the last time but will be keen to take Alexandre down on Saturday. Wendel’s previous wins were by way of KO Punches so when Alexandre took him to the canvas in their last fight he made light work of Wendel when winning in less than 2 minutes. Wendel if he can keep the fight standing has a huge advantage in boxing and MT and knows how to KO opponents but if Alexandre gets him to the ground again early he is in trouble as Alexandre has much superior BJJ and has won all his previous fights by Submission or Decision. If Wendel can keep Alexandre on his feet he will win this in the first round but if not who knows what will happen ! Next title bout is the 145 lb division fight between Stallone and Point, Stallone is defending his title for the first time on Saturday Frank "Rocket" Stallone Brayden Point Record 3-1-0 (W-L-D) Record 5-0-0 (W-L-D) http://www.mmatycoon.com/gallery/22/22w10.jpg http://www.mmatycoon.com/gallery/0/15322662702091.jpeg In his first defence of his title Stallone has a real challenge on his hands when trying to defeat Point who is 5-0 to date and with 4 wins by TKO Strikes with one submission, so he can adapt when needed to changing situations in fights. Point tends to be a counter fighter and waits to see what happens before pouncing, he beat a solid fighter in Sedlacek in his last bout and Sedlacek certainly knows how to take a punch. Point tends to like punching his opponents, either in the clinch or at distance as is equally lethal at both methods! Stallone is the opposite and has 3 wins by submission with a TKO Punch as well for a bit of variety. Stallone looks a little bit tired and this might affect him should the fight not end quickly! Stallone spent most of his last fight on the ground and I would expect him to attempt the same on Saturday but Point is no slouch and has the advantage in wrestling, however both fighters are similar in BJJ but Point has much better boxing when compared to Stallone. I can see an upset here ! Next up is Win and Von Erikson Gunna Win "The Darkness" Eric Von Erikson Record 6-1-0 (W-L-D) Record 2-0-0 (W-L-D http://www.mmatycoon.com/gallery/19/19w1.jpg http://www.mmatycoon.com/gallery/30/30b4.jpg On paper both these fighters skillsets are very similar with Win being slightly better at boxing however Win is the much more experienced fighter with 7 fights and 6 wins to his name, his only loss was to Budo in a title fight which is no disgrace as Budo has beaten everyone before him to date! Other than that one defeat he has won all his fights by either TKO or KO so is a good man with his fists. The Darkness has a big engine and some pretty nifty skills with either fist’s or feet as his last win was by way of KO by head kick, in that bout he also didn’t miss any of his punches so he is very accurate and lethal. He has only 2 bouts to his name but has impressed in them both so this is a hard one to call as the more experienced Win should be able to use the couple of extra fights under his belt to win this but The Darkness has 2 impressive wins to his name so he might win his third in a row… Moese "No Chance" Daldo Andre Valentino Record 3-0-0 (W-L-D) Record 2-0-0 (W-L-D) http://www.mmatycoon.com/gallery/17/17w22.jpg http://www.mmatycoon.com/gallery/11/11w11.jpg Two undefeated fighters taking to the cage on Saturday but with no title at stake it’s only pride (and cash!) that they are fighting for! Daldo has had 3 good wins by way of submissions to date and has the much better BJJ and wrestling skills on show with Valentino miles ahead of Daldo in boxing and MT so this fight is only happening with Daldo trying takedowns constantly to put his excellent GNP to good use with Valentino doing everything in his power to keep the fight standing where he will easily dispatch Daldo. If Valentino can stay on his feet this fight will not last for long ! However if it goes to ground its goodnight for Valentino ! Best of luck to all the fighters and managers on the night and odds are available from my bookies
  10. Indomitable Wills II Next event to take place is this coming Saturday when 2 belts are up for grabs in the 265lb and 135lb weight classes. The main event is the 265 division stand off between Hyon & Budo with Hyon the current holder in this calls when winning against Punch Drunk in late August. THe second title bout is between Laperierre and Machida with the title belt up for grabs from the current holder Generic Guy. 265lb Title Fight "Underdog" Seol Ki Hyon Thay "Sleeping Pill" Budo Record 5-0-1 (W-L-D Record 7-0-0 (W-L-D) http://www.mmatycoon.com/gallery/40/40w20.jpg http://www.mmatycoon.com/gallery/0/15286846848534.png Current holder Hyon is really going to have to pull out a great performance to beat the undefeated animal Budo who is on a 7 win hot streak and has destroyed all the opponents that he has encountered to date. He is the current holder of the 205lb division and has successfully defended this title on 2 occasions and has been catapulted to this weight class to see if a bigger man can put some manners on him! Hyon is no pushover with 5 wins and a draw to his name and is a fan of getting in close to use his ability in the clinch which is similar to Budo although Budo can stay out of the clinch and is an excellent standup fighter and has real KO power. Budo has ended all but one of his fights within one minute and the longest it took him to win was 2.34mins which is still not a long time. Hyon in comparison has had to go the distance twice and tends to not finish opponents as quickly as Budo. Tale of the tape on this one show Budo to be much better boxer and wrestler but with Hyon shading it in the MT department. SHould be a good fight but can see Budo wearing 2 belts at the end of the night on Saturday! 135lb Title Fight Ian Laperrierre Lyodo "Karate Kid" Machida Record 5-0-0 (W-L-D) Record 4-1-0 (W-L-D) http://www.mmatycoon.com/gallery/0/14736963834875.png http://www.mmatycoon.com/gallery/31/31w45.jpg There will be a new title holder of the 135 lbs no matter what on Saturday after this fight with both these lads looking to go home with the heavier kitbag! Laperrierre is undefeated to date and has shown some great moves in previous fights when winning 3 fights of the nights awards. Laperrierre loves throwing punches and is a great brawler and can fight equally well in the clinch or when standing off the clinch. He has won 3 of his five fights by decision so he has the legs and heart to go the distance with anyone. Machida is not a great striker but can be lethal in GnP so Laperrierre will no doubt be trying to keep this fight off the canvas. Machida has 4 wins under his belt with only one loss coming before he joined JAG. There is not much in the difference between these fighters with Laperrierre shading the boxing, MT and wrestling departments but Machida is the much better BJJ specialist than Laperrierre. This has the hallmarks of another fight of the night and both these fighters are very good operators and deserve to be getting this shot at silverware. Punch Drunk AKimbo "Dual Blade" Cutt Record 6-1-0 (W-L-D) Record 5-1-0 (W-L-D) http://www.mmatycoon.com/gallery/20/20w14.jpg http://www.mmatycoon.com/gallery/32/32b11.jpg Punch is an interesting fighter and his only defeat to date was to the current 265 title holder Hyon (see earlier preview) which is no disgrace. He is a fantastic striker and has won all his fights by way of some shape of a punch with one strike, his ability to stay on his feet and use his fists to great effect has been the reason for his success to date. He is however coming up against a very good boxer in Cutt who also has a great record when it comes to wins by way of Strikes and/or punches, funnily enough Cutt’s only defeat to date was also against Hyon! Cutt is very accurate with his punches and doesn’t tend to miss so Drunk’s defence better be good to withstand the potential onslaught! Drunk while loving to punch it out is way better than Cutt in the wrestling category while Cutt is the much better boxer so maybe Punch might have to change his tactics for this fight and use his superior GnP to better effect as if he goes toe to toe with Cutt, Cutts better boxing ability might work against him. Drogovan "The Strangler" Skrtic Finnick Skywalker Record 4-2-0 (W-L-D) Record 2-1-0 (W-L-D) http://www.mmatycoon.com/gallery/1/1w18.jpg http://www.mmatycoon.com/gallery/40/40w11.jpg Skywalkers last fight when he was upended in under a minute by his aggressive opponent who came out swinging, however he does have 2 wins to his name with one going to a decision when he threw a remarkable 200 punches in the clinch to win by unanimous decision. He has better MT and slightly better wrestling than his opponent on Saturday which he will no doubt use to good effect. Skrtic is coming off the back of 2 title fights losses when beaten twice by Wendel ins less than minute on both occasions, both of these losses coming by way of punches. All his wins have come by way of submissions and he has very good takedowns so if Skywalker wants to win he will need to keep this fight standing or in the clinch where he will have the upper hand. Odds available with my bookies if you feel the need for a flutter. Also if anyone wants to get a morale & energy boost by flying Private I have recently purchased a top of the range private jet and can make available to anyone interested in getting some morale boosts and indeed if anyone wants to move base with minimal morale loss moving by private jet can reduce this. If anyone is interested drop me a PM Good luck to all the fighters and managers Setanta King
  11. Iron Fist Gentlemen Overlord Record 2-0-0 (W-L-D) Record 5-0-0 (W-L-D) http://www.mmatycoon.com/gallery/19/19w3.jpg http://www.mmatycoon.com/gallery/36/36b4.jpg Overlord comes into his debut fight for JAG with an impressive history behind him with 5 QFC wins under his belt so let’s see how he fares against his opponent tomorrow Iron Fist who is also fighting for the first time under the JAG umbrella with 2 wins in the QFC to his name. Iron Fist is the much better MT fighter and is slightly better at wrestling but Overlord is way better boxer and shows more talent in the BJJ category. Iron Fist’s two wins to date have come by way of TKO’s and his last fight he didn’t even have to break a sweat when winning after only 36 secs of the bout! Overlord has won all his fights by way of KO and TKO. He has shown serious ability with his fists and was lethal in the clinch in his last fight when he threw 12 punches with all of them hitting the target. Hard one to call as both these lads are pretty decent fighters but my gut would suggest that Overlord might shade it Best of luck to all the fighters and managers on the night
  12. Next big title fight is this Saturday when Sireika and Takashi go head to head for the 185lb title. Arnoldas Sireika Saku Takashi Record 5-0-0 (W-L-D) Record 5-1-0 (W-L-D) http://www.mmatycoon.com/gallery/6/6w18.jpg http://www.mmatycoon.com/gallery/41/41a1.jpg This is not the first time these two lads have danced in the ring, Sireika (who is the current champ) has tussled with Takashi the past and has came out sucessful, winning his first title bout in this division against Takashi so Takashi is out for revenge this week and will be seeking to erase the horrible memory of his previous defeat to Sireika. Their previous match was over after less than 2 minutes of round one when Sireika made short work of Takashi and stayed standing with some great punches and was also extremely accurate when in the clinch as well with very few of his punches missing. Takashi tried numerous takedowns but none succeeded which was lucky for Sireika as Takashi is lethal on the ground. Sireika is still undefeated and has successfully defended his title since he won it and will be looking to continue that run of form on Saturday. Sireika has won all his fights by way of TKO Strikes other than one by way of decision and Takashi shows a similar vein of good form but has had to go the distance in 4 of his wins to get unanimous decisions with his only loss to date by way of TKO Strike against Sireika. Given how Sireika won their last fight I can see his great run of form extending and he should hold onto his title this week. Other top fight on the night is Maximus and Hassan Brutus "The Roman" Maximus Ashraf Hassan Record 5-1-0 (W-L-D) Record 4-1-0 (W-L-D http://www.mmatycoon.com/gallery/42/42b14.jpg http://www.mmatycoon.com/gallery/24/24b5.jpg No title on this one but 2 good fighters taking to the cage for this fight. Maximus has 5 wins to his name and he has won all by way of TKO or KO so this man knows how to put his opponents on their arses! He is strong as an ox and knows how to hit and his last bout ended after only 29 seconds with a perfectly placed jab that floored Slamenkov and he never has a hope after that. Hasaan is another newish addition to the JAB stable with only one fight for JAG to date but it was a doozie with Hassan winning by way of KO after only 1.34mins of round one when he landed a very acrobatic spinning back fist to absolutely crease his opponent. Both fighters have won similarly in the past so this should be interesting and the tale of the tape shows that Maximus is the much better boxer and slightly more popular but with Hassan being the much better MT expert I think Maximus might shade this one.but its gonna be close! Taavi Mottus Gunna Win Record 4-0-0 (W-L-D) Record 5-1-0 (W-L-D) http://www.mmatycoon.com/gallery/6/6b13.jpg http://www.mmatycoon.com/gallery/19/19w1.jpg This one on paper looks very even with both fighters showing the same talents in most department other than Win who shades it on the boxing skills side. Mottus is an excellent fighter and is heavy handed which can be seen by way of his record which shows 4 wins on the trot and all four wins have been by TKO or KO, his opponent on Saturday is equally talented with his 5 wins coming also by way of TKO or KO with his only defeat coming about by the current reigning champ Thay Budo (who has steamrolled all before his to date so no shame there!). Win’s last successful outing ended after 1.21 mins of round one when he took Dark down in a flurry of merciless punches that left Dark wondering what year it was never mind did he win the fight! This is too hard to call between two great fighters that won’t be afraid to go toe to toe with each other. Will aim to do couple more previews tomorrow so watch this space
  13. Part two of two for the event preview for JBL 6 Lyodo "Karate Kid" Machida Mabo Dada Record 3-1-0 (W-L-D) Record 6-1-0 (W-L-D) http://www.mmatycoon.com/gallery/31/31w45.jpg http://www.mmatycoon.com/gallery/23/23b12.jpg Looks like an interesting fight on paper with both of these lads having a couple of bouts under their belts at this state with Dada have 7 fights with an impressive 6 wins to his name to date. His only loss to date was in his previous title shot against Generic Guy. Dada tends to stay standing and throws a lot of punches (admittedly a lot of them hit fresh air…) but with his strength if he can connect his opponent is in trouble. Dada is the much better boxer but Machida is better in MT and way better in BJJ, as a result Machida prefers to stay in close or get the fight to the mat where he pretends his opponent is a nail and he is the hammer with a flurry of ground strikes coming raining down on the poor unfortunate that is under him. I fancy Dada to bounce back from his recent loss to take this one. Khabib "The Eagle" Nurmagoduv Henry "Fast Hands" Shaw Record 4-0-0 (W-L-D Record 3-1-0 (W-L-D) http://www.mmatycoon.com/gallery/32/32w27.jpg http://www.mmatycoon.com/gallery/30/30w7.jpg Both these fighters carry impressive records to this bout with the Eagle coming off the back of 4 wins on the trot. The Eagle has 4 TKO and one NC to his name. He has a granite chin and is well able to take some punishment which is good as Fast Hands superb boxing talent is likely to test The Eagles capacity to take a hit. The Eagle likes rolling around with men on the floor so expect him to try to get Shaw to the floor where he is likely to try to hammer him into oblivion! Fast Hands so called because of his pickpocketing ability as a child on the streets of Manchester has 3 wins to his name with 2 TKO’s and one decision making up his record. He is a cautious fighter and tends to watch his opponent carefully then make his move on the break so expect him to let the Eagle try to get close for a takedown then use his fast hands to do some damage. On paper you would expect The Eagle to win but I’m gonna slightly tip Shaw to win this one.
  14. Next big event for JAG is JBL VI on Saturday night in London city, no titles on the line tonight but Drunk V Guy should serve up a real treat at the top of the card. Punch Drunk "The Guy" Markus Guy Record 5-1-0 (W-L-D) Record 5-2-0 (W-L-D) http://www.mmatycoon.com/gallery/20/20w14.jpg http://www.mmatycoon.com/gallery/38/38b4.jpg Drunks only loss to date was in his last fight when he was competing for the title and lost to Seol Ki Hyon, other than that his record has been senastional with a large number of KO and TKO’s to his name when dispatching most of his opponents in the first round with one being floored in less than 14 seconds so he is a man that knows how to hit. He throws a lot of punches and if they connect he has serious KO power. His opponent on Saturday is not to be laughed at (and not just because he weighs 240 lbs and is 6 ft 7 tall)... Guy has 5 wins to his name and 4 of those were by way of TKO & KO with one submission thrown in for variety, so he is also a fighter that can hit if the fight calls for it. This should be interesting as Guy is the better on the mat than Drunk and Drunk is much better on his feet. This fight will be won by the man who can get the fight to where they are most comfortable - standing for Drunk and Ground for the Guy. Fancy Drunk to win this one. Next to top of the bill is Skywalker and Scanlan Finnick Skywalker Jordan Scanlan Record 2-0-0 (W-L-D) Record 5-2-0 (W-L-D) http://www.mmatycoon.com/gallery/40/40w11.jpg http://www.mmatycoon.com/gallery/40/40w14.jpg Scanlan is the more experienced fighter here but Skywalker is coming off the back of 2 wins on the trot so the confidence is high. In Skywalker’s last fight he threw an amazing 120 head punches in his clinches and won against a previously undefeated Erikson. Scanlan has won his last five fights by a variety of means including TKO, KO and one Decision. He is a strong as an ox and loves to throw a punch, in fact he threw nearly 150 in his last fight so he has some stamina. He has great accuracy as well with the fists and has the capability to knock fighters out. I really like the look of this fight and if these two gladiators go toe to toe and duke it out it should be very interesting as Skywalker slightly shades it on the boxing front but they are fairly even other than that. Am putting this preview in 2 posts so will post the rest tomorrow (hopefully )
  15. Next big event in the JAG Battle League calendar is Gladitorius Maximus II taking place on Saturday night. There are 3 titles on the line in the 206lb, 185lb and 145lb divisions Main event on the night is the 205lbs pairing of Budo and Win, it’s a worthy headline with Budo currently undefeated in 6 fights and is the defending champ at the minute. Thay "Sleeping Pill" Budo Gunna Win Record 6-0-0 (W-L-D) Record 5-0-0 (W-L-D) http://www.mmatycoon.com/gallery/0/15286846848534.png http://www.mmatycoon.com/gallery/19/19w1.jpg Budo is an enormously popular and lethal boxer that is undefeated to date, can Gunna Win knock him off his perch? Budo is an absolute beast and has won all his fights by either KO or TKO and if he gets in to clinching distance he doesn’t let go, he is heavy handed and his punches really cause damage if they land, which they do more often than not as his hit ratio is very good. He is also very quick and has ended all but one of his fights in the first round and even the one that went to the second round ended after only 24 seconds of round 2. Even though he is known as a decent wrestler he doesn’t like to go to ground to date but don’t rule a bit of GNP out with this fighter! His opponent on Saturday is no slouch with 5 wins to his name and no defeats. Gunna has a similar method of ending fights as Budo with either KO (X3) and TKO (X2) being the methods of his winning his last 5 fights. He is also a quick fighter and lethal as none of his fights have gone beyond round 1 of any of his bouts. Gunna is slightly different in that he likes to stay a little removed from the action rather than clinching and this should make for an interesting fight with both fighters more than capable of knocking each other out but with Budo trying to clinch and Gunna trying to keep him away while trying to take him out with some punch/kicks from a distance. Hard to call but I think there may be a new champ on Saturday! Next Title is the 185lbs showdown with Sireika and Dikoume, Sireika is the defending champ in this division Arnoldas Sireika Marcel "The Python" Dikoume Record 4-0-0 (W-L-D) Record 4-1-0 (W-L-D http://www.mmatycoon.com/gallery/6/6w18.jpg http://www.mmatycoon.com/gallery/41/41w24.jpg Sireika has 4 wins to his name and has shown great skill in winning 3 of the 4 fights by way of TKO, he is an excellent striker and is very accurate with his fists he has the capacity to floor opponents and has done so in the past so expect nothing less this Saturday. He can mix it up a bit and is capable as a standup fighter and just as good when in a clinch so should be interesting to see if he risks getting too close to his opponent on Saturday who is not nicknamed the Python for no reason given he has won most of his fights by way of submissions! The Python has a solid chin and can take some damage and shows some immense skill around takedowns so if he can get close to Sireika I would expect him to take Sireika to the ground and try to end the fight there, The Python will probably need to take some punches before getting close to Sireika to take him down but with his capacity to soak up damage he might be able to get in tight and end the fight. Hard one to call but think another defending champ could be losing their silverware in this fight too! The last title fight on the night is between Vencedor and Stallone in the 145lbs Division, this is the inaugural title fight for this division Unai Vencedor Frank "Rocket" Stallone Record 5-0-0 (W-L-D) Record 2-1-0 (W-L-D) http://www.mmatycoon.com/gallery/8/8b8.jpg http://www.mmatycoon.com/gallery/22/22w10.jpg Vencedor has the better record of these 2 fighters and has 5 fights undefeated to his name he has won all his bouts by KO (x2) and TKO (x3) and even finished one of his fights within 5 seconds!! Vencedor is not afraid to use his fists to win. Stallone is a very different fighter who has 2 wins from 3 and has won both by way of Submissions so he will be keen to get this fight onto the canvas where he has the distinct advantage! Vencedor on paper has the much better stats when it comes to boxing, MT and wrestling but if Stallone can get in close and take Vencedor down then he could end this fight very quickly. Still fancy Vencedor to win this one and carry home the belt to his hometown of Bilbao in Spain. Top of the rest of the fights but with no title in play is Dee V Mottus Bobby "Sovereign" Dee Taavi Mottus Record 6-1-0 (W-L-D) Record 3-0-0 (W-L-D) http://www.mmatycoon.com/gallery/15/15w12.jpg http://www.mmatycoon.com/gallery/6/6b13.jpg Bobby has a fantastic record with his only defeat being in his last title shot when he was beaten by Thay Budo (the current champ). To give Dee credit he did last the longest time of any of Budo’s other opponents so he deserves some kudos for that at least. No disgrace to be beaten by Budo either. He is a good brawler but enjoys himself most when pummeling his opponents on the ground which has been his happy hunting ground other than his one defeat to date. Mottus has 3 wins and all coming by way of KO and TKO (x2) and he enjoys staying standing and pummeling his opponents so this fight is going to be a real battle to see who can stay standing or will the fight go to the floor where Dee is a little more comfortable. Mottus is a much better boer and MT specialist but Dee shades it in the Wrestling and BJJ department. On paper Dee should win but Mottus might surprise on the night. Best of luck to all the fighters and managers on the night and I have odds on all the fights with my bookies so feel free to gamble to your hearts content Setanta King
  16. Test of Wills III finished last week with Tiago Alexandre retaining the 155lbs title when defeating Gideon De Bruin in round one of his battle by way of submission, this one smells like a rematch at a time when De Bruin is better rested and I would love to see that fight Round of rest of the result attached 170 lbs 3 Finnick Skywalker Erik Erikson Decision (Unanimous) 3 05:00 155 lbs 5 Tiago Alexandre Gideon De Bruin Submission (RNC) 1 01:37 155 lbs Title 135 lbs 3 Lyodo Machida Martin Sedlacek Decision (Unanimous) 3 05:00 155 lbs 3 Chet Bader Kreemo Dada Submission (Armbar) 3 01:57 145 lbs 3 Thip Top Ronnie Balkan TKO (Cut) 1 01:42 205 lbs 3 Ashraf Hassan Isajah Free KO (Strikes) 1 01:34 170 lbs 3 Khabib Nurmagoduv Larry Haggus TKO (Strikes) 1 03:41 185 lbs 3 Marcel Dikoume Moshe Rabenu Submission (Armbar) 1 01:56 185 lbs 3 CJ Johnson Devali Ademayo TKO (Strikes) 1 02:53 170 lbs 3 Billy Fotherby Henry Shaw Decision (Split) 3 05:00 Next big night is this Saturday for Wendel V Skrtic (Part II) when there is 2 belts on the line in the 265 and 175 divisions. The 265 title fight is between the defending champ Punch Drunk who is on a shit hot streak at present who is defending his title against Seol Ki Hyon and the second title bout is between holder Mathias Wendel and Drogovan Skrtic, these guys have history in the Skrtic has been beaten previously by Wendel only a couple of weeks ago to capture the title. Mathias Wendel Drogovan “The Strangler” Skrtic Record 4-1-0 (W-L-D) Record 4-1-0 (W-L-D) http://www.mmatycoon.com/gallery/8/8b2.jpg http://www.mmatycoon.com/gallery/1/1w18.jpg Wendel is the holder of this title and made light work of Skrtic the last time they met when knocking him out after less than a minute of their bout by way of KO. It seems like Wendel punches as if he has horseshoes in his gloves he is that potent when he connects. All his wins have been courtesy of his heavy hands and he has KO (Punch) all the opponents he has beaten. He is quick too and has ended all his winning bouts in 1.30mins or less with his fastest win in 19 seconds. He came out swinging against Skrtic previously and if he does the same again this could be another quick fight! Skrtic has a pretty good record to date with his only loss coming against this opponent. All his wins have been by way of submission so he will be trying to get in under Wendels hands to try to take this fight to the canvas where he will have his best chance of defeating Wendel. Skrtic doesn’t throw punches and Wendel loves throwing them so this could end very quickly by way of KO or if Skrtic gets to the floor he will likely end the fight quickly with his much superior talent in BJJ. I think Wendel can hold onto his title on Saturday. Punch Drunk Seol Ki Hyon Record 5-0-0 (W-L-D) Record 4-0-1 (W-L-D) http://www.mmatycoon.com/gallery/20/20w14.jpg http://www.mmatycoon.com/gallery/40/40w20.jpg Drunk is the undefeated champ of this division at the moment and lives up to his name in that he has a fantastic punching ability and has won all his fights by way of KO and TKO’s with a punch / strike being the cause of most of his wins with a beautiful superman punch thrown in for show! He won the title against Standup Fighter in the last event by JAG Battle League and is not resting on his laurels and is putting his shiny new belt at risk by stepping into the ring with Hyon. Hyon is no slouch in the ring and is undefeated at present with 4 wins and one draw. He has won 3 of his 4 fights by way of TKO and one decision. Hyon has a good ability with his fists and his preferred method of fighting is to get into a clinch then throw a variety of punches to try and wear his opponent down. He has a granite chin so this could be an interesting fight if he can take a couple of hits from Drunk but get in close enough to clinch he could win this one, he has some ability to go toe to toe with a fighter but my gut says that if he tries that with Drunk he will fare too well. Next on the card is the pairing of Maximus and Slamenkov Brutus "The Roman" Maximus Vladamir Slamenkov Record 4-1-0 (W-L-D) Record 3-1-0 (W-L-D) http://www.mmatycoon.com/gallery/42/42b14.jpg http://www.mmatycoon.com/gallery/1/1w1.jpg No title on the line here but two fighters with pretty good records duking it out, Maximus has 4 wins by way of either KO or TKO so he is an excellent boxer and in fact ended of his recent after only 5 seconds with a flurry of punches straight out from the corner which rocked his opponent! Salmenkov has a much different record with his 3 wins coming by way of submission. He likes to fight on the ground so we can expect him to get close to Maximus then try to bring the fight to the floor where he will have a distinct advantage. GIven his good chin he should be able to soak some of the damage that is coming his way from Maximus’s fists of fury before trying to perform a takedown to end the bout. Should be interesting fight but I fancy Slamenkov who has the better MT and BJJ to shade this fight, Jack "Nasty Pasty" Nasty "The Guy" Markus Guy Record 3-2-0 (W-L-D) Record 4-2-0 (W-L-D) http://www.mmatycoon.com/gallery/37/37b28.jpg http://www.mmatycoon.com/gallery/38/38b4.jpg Nasty is coming to this bout off the back of 2 defeats in a row and his morale has taken a pasting he looks very unhappy at present. His 3 wins have been by a variety of methods including a decision, KO and Submission so he is a versatile fighter. He will need to be at his best to beat Guy on Saturday. Guy has 4 wins and 2 defeats and has an engine that would run all day and tends to enjoy fighting on the counter rather than being aggressive right off the bat. Both these lads are evenly matched in general other than Guy’s better boxing ability. Rumour has it that if Nasty doesn’t win this fight his girlfriend Daniella Whatsername has said she is leaving him because she doesn’t date losers! Even enough fight on paper but I wonder will Guy’s superior morale and energy give him the edge? Best of luck to all the fighters and managers for this event and may the best men win on the night I am finalising my bookie odds and they should be posted by the time you are reading this Setanta King
  17. The last event saw Mabo Dada lose his title fight against Generic guy but it was a fight that went to the wire with only a judge's decision separating them at the end. The other title was won by Arnoldas Sirekia who destroyed Takashi in the first round of their fight. Other results on the night were as follows: Arnoldas Sireika Saku Takashi TKO (Strikes) 1 02:56 185 lbs Title Generic Guy Mabo Dada Decision (Unanimous) 5 05:00 135 lbs Title Unai Vencedor Manny Johnson KO (Punch) 1 00:52 Seol Ki Hyon Jake Jones TKO (Strikes) 2 03:52 Mark Steve Jr William Norman KO (Punch) 1 04:22 AKimbo Cutt Jack Nasty TKO (Strikes) 1 00:27 Frank Stallone Pat Michaels Submission (Kimura) 1 03:58 Diego Oriola Robin Good Submission (Americana) 1 00:26 Sao Alela Ethan Wright KO (Punch) 3 03:59 Bubba Jones Victor Viriato KO (Punch) 1 01:1 Well done to all concerned and I can see a rematch brewing between Generic Guy and Dado! Next up is Test of Wills III in the Hard Knocks arena in London this Saturday. The 155 lbs title is on the line on the night with the holder Alexandre facing the challenge for the belt from De Bruin. Alexandre won the title only just under a month ago when defeating Bader to take the belt. Tiago Alexandre Gideon "Scorpion" De Bruin Record 3-0-0 (W-L-D) Record 2-0-0 (W-L-D) http://www.mmatycoon.com/gallery/27/27b1.jpg http://www.mmatycoon.com/gallery/6/6w4.jpg Alexandre as the title holder has it all to lost on the night but from a look at the challengers energy bar 3 days out he could do with a few days in a spa surrounded by a team of masseuse’s (happy endings optional) to get the energy levels back up or he might not make it into the cage this weekend! Alexandre is 3 wins from 3 fights and has won all but his debut in the first round. He likes to take the fight to the floor and 2 of his wins have been by way of submission. His standup skills are not impressive when pitted against De Bruin who has the much better Boxing and MT skills on show, I would fancy De Bruin to take the title from Alexandre if he was on top form but if he makes it to the fight I can only see one winner on Saturday. Verdict: Alexandre "The Viking" Erik Erikson Finnick Skywalker Record 4-0-0 (W-L-D) Record 1-0-0 (W-L-D) http://www.mmatycoon.com/gallery/1/1w16.jpg http://www.mmatycoon.com/gallery/40/40w11.jpg This is an all American tussle taking place in London, The Viking has an exceptional record coming into this fight with 4 wins from 4 however he looks a little grumpy at the moment for some reason and his morale is quite low - he could do with a private jet trip with a “friendly” stewardess to cheer him up . The Vikings has a big engine and likes to get in close to cause damage when clinching and in his his last bout managed to land every one of his punches when clinching. He is a good wrestler as well so he is not unknown to collapse a clinch to do some of the old reliable GNP when required, so he has a couple of strings to his bow. His opponent on Saturday is a relatively unknown fighter from New York who has only won once to date (it was however his only fight ). Skywalker (star wars fan manager methinks?) however threw nearly 100 punches in his last fight with a large majority hitting their target and it was only down to his opponents ability to soak up punishment that allowed the fight to go on for so long! This is hard to call but with Skywalker on the crest of a wave psychologically and with his superior MT this might shade the fight in his favour when clinching as both of these fighters are even enough other than the Vikings superior talent when it comes to boxing. Verdict: Skywalker Next up is the pairing of Sedlacek and Machida Martin "The Python" Sedlacek Lyodo "Karate Kid" Machida Record 5-1-0 (W-L-D) Record 2-1-0 (W-L-D) http://www.mmatycoon.com/gallery/34/34w22.jpg http://www.mmatycoon.com/gallery/31/31w45.jpg Python has the better record of thest 2 fighters with 5 wins and only one loss, his only loss coming in the title fight against Dado which was no disgrace as Dado is a tough fighter. All of his wins have been by submissions which is how he earned his nickname of the the Python. He has ended 4 of his wins in the first round so he is a man that likes to come out of the blocks early and hard. His defeat was to Dada who kept the fight standing despite Sedlacek trying over 50 takedowns so this could be the key to defeating him on Saturday. Machida has a decent record to date coming into this fight and has 2 wins from 3 fights to date, his 2 wins have been by TKO and KO’s. He is determined and has some decent wrestling skills so is a force to be reckoned with. I think Sedlacek should shade this fight here but he will need to be careful as Machida is the better BJJ fighter so Sedlacek might not get it all his way if the fight ends up on the floor (which I suspect it will !) Verdict: Sedlacek Chet "The Master" Bader Kreemo "Goat" Dada Record 2-1-0 (W-L-D) Record 1-0-0 (W-L-D) http://www.mmatycoon.com/gallery/5/5b2.jpg http://www.mmatycoon.com/gallery/31/31b19.jpg Looks like an interesting fight on paper with the relatively untested Dada facing the Master on Saturday. Dada won his debut fight last time out by way of TKO punch after only 13 seconds and showing his absolute class when ending the fight with a couple of combo’s that put de Bruin on his back! Bader is coming to this fight off the back of a title defeat against Alexandre so his morale is not as high as Dada’s at present. Other than this defeat Bader has won his two fights by way of submission he has a good chin so should be interesting to see if he can take some of Dada’s punches and stay standing . Dada is much better in boxing, MT and wrestling but Bader really excels in BJJ so this could be an interesting fight but my gut says that Dada is likely to end this fight very early Verdict: Dada Top V Balkan Verdict: Top Free V Hassan Verdict: Hassan Haggus V Nurmagoduv Verdict: Haggus Dikoume V Rabenu Verdict: Rabenu Johnson V Ademayo Verdict: Johnson Fotherby V Shaw Verdict: Shaw Best of luck to all the fighters and my bookies has the odds on all the above fights if you want to fancy a flutter . http://www.mmatycoon.com/bookmakersmanager.php http://www.mmatycoon.com/images/company/logo/1532639746final%20bookies.gif

  20. JBL 3 Budo V Dee was a massive success with a sell out crowd watching Budo retain his title and seeing Punch Drunk win the inaugural 265lbs title. Well done to both fighters and managers. Will anyone be able to knock Budo from the top spot?? Summary of the night is as follows: *** 205 lbs 5 Thay Budo Bobby Dee TKO (Strikes) 2 00:24 *** 265 lbs 5 Punch Drunk Standup Fighter TKO (Strikes) 2 00:58 185 lbs Shiba Inu Ruston Cohle Submission (Kimura) 1 04:26 135 lbs Ian Laperierre Slammy Neckbreaker Decision (Unanimous) 3 05:00 205 lbs Jordon Shoemaker Michael Dark TKO (Strikes) 1 02:58 135 lbs Brayden Point Timothy Wine TKO (Strikes) 1 02:56 145 lbs George Steve Jr Manu Peralta TKO (Strikes) 1 01:33 155 lbs Moese Daldo Juantamo Padilla Submission (Armbar) 1 00:49 155 lbs Matteo Claessens Mickey Ward Decision (Unanimous) 3 05:00 185 lbs Marcel Dikoume John Miles Submission (Americana) 1 00:24 Next big event is JBL IV Takashi V Sireika this coming Saturday night. Saku Takashi Arnoldas Sireika Record 4-0-0 (W-L-D) Record 3-0-0 (W-L-D) http://www.mmatycoon.com/gallery/41/41a1.jpg http://www.mmatycoon.com/gallery/6/6w18.jpg Top of the bill is the 185lbs title fight with Takashi the current holder of the belt in this weight class. The pretender to the throne is Sireika who hails from Lithuania and is 3 fights undefeated and will be hoping to bring home the title belt on Saturday. Saku iwon the belt just under a month ago when defeating Shibu Inu in a tightly fought contest which went to a decision which went his way. Saku is a grinder with 3 of his wins going to decisions with only his debut win coming by way of TKO Strikes. Saku is a good wrestler and his fights to date seem to be spent on the canvas mainly with Saku using his remarkable wrestling skills to his advantage he is a persistent fighter as can be seen from his fights going the distance and he will take his time trying to improve his position to try to get the submission from his opponent. Sireika has won his 3 previous fights by way on TKO X2 and Decision. He is a very different fighter to Saku and will probably try to keep the fight standing where his Wonderful MT skills will come to the fore. He is a heavy handed fighter hows to to end fights so lets see how this one goes. If Sireika can keep out of range of Saku’s takedowns the title will be his! VERDICT: Sireika Mabo Dada Generic Guy Record 6-0-0 (W-L-D) Record 2-0-0 (W-L-D) http://www.mmatycoon.com/gallery/23/23b12.jpg http://www.mmatycoon.com/gallery/19/19w12.jpg Dado is the undisputed champ of the 135 lbs division and has a fantastic streak of 6 wins to his name with no defeats. He won the title for this weight in the middle of July when defeating Sedlacek in JBL 1 by way of decision after 5 rounds of war. He has won 3 of his 3 fights by way of TKO Strikes and the other 3 by way of Decisions. He is powerful man and is a fantastic puncher with more punches landing than miss and when he connects he really connects! You could ask some of his previous opponents how hard he hits but to be honest they wouldn’t be able to tell you as he has caused more cases of amnesia than a night of drinking single malt Irish whiskey cause! His opponent on Saturday is one of my guilty pleasures in JBL and I love the name for this guy Generic Guy, he is however anything but generic when it comes to his talent showing beating one of my fighters in his previous outing when he threw nearly 170 punches in clinches with my lad, I don’t know how Collins stayed standing to only lose by decision in the end the battering he took. He is a very accurate boxer and the majority of his punches/strikes actually hit their target so I think this should be a great fight on Saturday. Both of these fighters are evenly matched except in the MT department where Generic Guy has the advantage. I can smell an upset here VERDICT: Generic Guy Unai Vencedor Manny "Reaper" Johnson Record 4-0-0 (W-L-D) Record 3-1-0 (W-L-D) http://www.mmatycoon.com/gallery/8/8b8.jpg http://www.mmatycoon.com/gallery/0/15267578275495.jpg 2 good fighters are next up and both of these could be title contenders if they can get a good run going. Unai had 4 wins from 4 and has won three by way of TKO Strike and on by KO so he certainly knows how to hit! Manny is similar other than he lost one fight by way of KO but other than that has won by either TKO with one decision going his way. Reaper likes to clinch with opponents then open them up when he can but he can also go toe to toe with another fighter and trade blows when required and enjoys a good brawl. Unai has a tendency to end his fights early and likes to brawl as well so this fight could be an old school toe to toe with whoever has the most capacity to soak up damage being the winner of this one. Johnson is the much better boxer and BJJ with Unai showing more talent in the MT and wrestling departments. If this fight stays standing then I would expect Johnson to win but is it goes to the ground Unai’’s superior wrestling might shade it for him Verdict: Johnson Seol Ki Hyon Jake "The Fat Sibling" Jones Record 3-0-1 (W-L-D) Record 1-1-0 (W-L-D) http://www.mmatycoon.com/gallery/40/40w20.jpg http://www.mmatycoon.com/gallery/38/38w13.jpg Hyon is undefeated to date with the only “blemish” being a draw when the judges were unable to separate him and Knock Out. His wins were by way of TKO strike, TKO cut and a unanimous decision in his debut fight. He likes to get in close and use his remarkable MT to is advantage, however he has been known to stay at distance and pepper punches at his opponent, quite accurately too I’d have to say! Jones has only one win and one loss to his name and his win was by way of KO Punch when he threw only 3 punches with 2 landing and absolutely destroyed his opponent after only 20 seconds of round 1! His only defeat was when he was kept on the canvas so he will need to try to stay on his feet if he can in this fight where he can use his boxing talent to his advantage although with Hyon’s MT skills this could backfire. I really can’t call this one and if I was to have a choice I would probably call it a draw but I’m gonna slightly favour Jones on this fight. Verdict: Jones. I will preview the rest of the fights separately if I get time and will post them here

  23. Well done to all the fighters that took part in the Test of Wills II particularly the new champ Mathias Wendel who beat Skrtic in the 170 title fight which ended quickly enough after less than a minute when Wendel landed a beautiful right hand to open Skrtic up and it was game over after that! List of the other winners on the night are as follows: 170 lbs 5 Mathias Wendel Drogovan Skrtic KO (Punch) 1 00:54 170 lbs Title 135 lbs 3 Martin Sedlacek Ted Cruz Submission (Triangle) 2 02:55 155 lbs 3 Kreemo Dada Rudi De Bruin TKO (Punches) 1 00:13 145 lbs 3 Pat Michaels Carlos Andrade Decision (Unanimous) 3 05:00 205 lbs 3 Isajah Free Adam Vierhoven Submission (Armbar) 1 03:54 170 lbs 3 Larry Haggus Billy Fotherby Submission (Armbar) 1 02:38 170 lbs 3 Khabib Nurmagoduv Ethan Wright TKO (Strikes) 3 03:32 135 lbs 3 Michael Collins Theodore Barnett TKO (Strikes) 1 02:51 170 lbs 3 Henry Shaw Paulo Rodrigues TKO (Strikes) 1 01:08 170 lbs 3 Luis Fernandes Hal Joseph Decision (Unanimous) 3 05:00 Next event to take place is this Saturday and is JBL 3 Budo V Dee and is a full 10 fight card. There are two titles on the line for this event the 205 and the 265 titles with Budo defending his title which he won on the 14th July and the 265 title which is currently vacant which is being fought over by Standup V Drunk. Main event Thay "Sleeping Pill" Budo Bobby "Sovereign" Dee Record 5-0-0 (W-L-D) Record 6-0-0 (W-L-D) http://www.mmatycoon.com/gallery/0/15286846848534.png http://www.mmatycoon.com/gallery/15/15w12.jpg This looks to be a very evenly matched pairing and both of these lads have yet to taste defeat in the ring - that is going to end (probably very painfully) for one of these guys on Saturday. Budo is the defending champ and has is not showing any fear of losing his title by defending it so soon after winning it recently. Budo despite his nickname is an animal in the ring and has won all his fights by way of TKO/KO strike or punches. Budo is a man that likes to throw a punch and has serious power in his arms he is also very accurate with his hands and doesn’t miss too often when he throws a punch. Budo doesn’t like going to ground whereas Dee is the opposite and all his wins whilst coming the same way as Budo by TKO/KO he has won his fights with ground strikes rather than staying upright. This will be interesting to see if Dee can take Budo out of his comfort zone and bring him to the canvas where Budo may struggle. Budo is absolutely miles better than Dee in boxing but Dee shades it in MT and BJJ. This really should be an interesting fight. I’m gonna tip Budo to retain his title Verdict: Budo Next title is the 265lbs category and its Fighter V Drunk. Standup Fighter Punch Drunk Record 5-0-0 (W-L-D) Record 4-0-0 (W-L-D) http://www.mmatycoon.com/gallery/0/14760593138760.png http://www.mmatycoon.com/gallery/20/20w14.jpg I’ll have to admit that I love both of these fighters names and well done to both managers for their imagination. This is Canada versus the Netherlands and we’ll see if the travel over from Montreal takes anything out of Drunk. This is the maiden title fight at this weight and it should be a great fight. Neither of these lads has lost to date and both will be hoping to take the belt and another scalp at this event. Fighter has won 4 out of 5 of his fights by way of TKO and despite his name doesn’t try to spend much time standing during fights he has decent wrestling so he tends to try to take the fight to the canvas and finish it out from there. He doesn’t tend to finish his opponents quickly but has the engine to wear them down over a couple of rounds if he is allowed! Punch Drunk on the other hand is the complete opposite fighter and has won all 4 of his fights by way of KO with one ending in fantastic fashion with a superman punch taking out Teempson - Go Drunk….. Drunk has ended all 4 of his previous fights in round one with his longest fight only lasting 1.50mins. This is a man that really knows how to hit. This fight is going to be interesting with Fighter wanting to hit the canvas and Drunk trying to stay standing where he has the boxing and MT advantage. Fighter is the better wrestler so if he can get Drunk down he will win. I have to say that I fancy Drunk to get the title on Saturday. Verdict: Drunk Next up with no title at stake but don’t expect them to show any mercy is Inu V Cohle. Shiba "Woofu" Inu Ruston "Taxman" Cohle Record 2-2-0 (W-L-D) Record 3-0-0 (W-L-D) http://www.mmatycoon.com/gallery/41/41a2.jpg http://www.mmatycoon.com/gallery/32/32w41.jpg Inu is fresh from a defeat in his title shot against Takashi so he will be looking to bounce back with a win against Cohle who is off the back of 3 wins in a row. Inu has won his 2 fights by way of Submissions and has lost to a KO Punch and a decision in a fights where both fighter spent more time on the ground rolling around than Neymar in a Brazil match! Cohle is a former lawman but turned to MMA when he ran into a bunch of corrupt cops in Texas. He is known as the taxman because he has a personality everyone loves to hate, and who doesn’t hate the taxman? He has won all his fights by way of Submission, and as fights very similarly to his opponent on Saturday so this could go all the way at the weekend. Cohle has much better MT and boxing than Inu who shades him on the Wrestling and BJJ fronts. Cohle looks a little tired so if this goes over a couple of rounds he could be in trouble and he will need to try to keep the fight standing for as long as possible to make his MT and boxing advantage count and try to keep off the canvas. VERDICT: Cohle Next up Laperierre V Neckbreaker Ian Laperierre Slammy Neckbreaker Record 3-0-0 (W-L-D) Record 4-1-0 (W-L-D) http://www.mmatycoon.com/gallery/34/34b1.jpg http://www.mmatycoon.com/gallery/0/15265777823149.jpg Ian is 3 and undefeated to date and has won his fights in a variety of manners, KO punch, Submission and Decision. He is a great wrestler and is strong as a bull and has taken many’s the punch and stayed standing. His Opponent Neckbreaker has won his 4 fights by way of TKO and KO by way of strikes and one by Punch. He is a good wrestler as well but enjoys throwing punches as well either standing or striking on the canvas, he is good at both. These two fighter are inseparable when comparing skills but Neckbreaker slightly edges it on the MT side which will help him if he can get Laperierre to the canvas. Given how even these lads are I’m torn but will go with Neckbreaker as I think he can use his wrestling ability to get Laperierre to the ground and then try to hammer him into the ground using his MT Verdict: Neckbreaker. And now the summary of the rest of the event and my personal predictions Shoemaker V Dark 3-1-0 (0 NCs) 2-1-0 (0 NCs) Verdict: Shoemaker Point V Wine 2-0-0 (0 NCs) 1-4-0 (0 NCs) Verdict: Point Steve Jr V Peralta Debut 2-0-0 (0 NCs) Verdict: Peralta Daldo V Padilla 1-0-0 (0 NCs) 0-2-0 (0 NCs Verdict: Padilla Claessens V Ward 1-3-0 (0 NCs) 1-3-0 (0 NCs) Verdict: Ward Miles V Dikoume 2-2-0 (0 NCs) 2-1-0 (0 NCs) Verdict: Dikoume I should have my bookie odds up shortly so if anyone wants to gamble on the results please feel free to use my bookies Lou Zitall Good luck to one an all and will we see 2 new champs on Sunday or will Budo be put to sleep by Dee??? 24. The EFL Returns - Event Preview Eastern Fighting League (EFL) is a fight org based out of NY and the next big event that’s being held is the EFL returns fight night taking place in the fantastic Liberty Dome where over 5,000 bodies will be crammed in to see 3 fantastic title fights on the night. The main event on the night is the Lightweight title fight between Midget and Gustavsson. Justin "Angry" Midget Gustav "Gremlin" Gustavsson Record 23-13-0 (W-L-D) Record 4-0-0 (W-L-D) http://www.mmatycoon.com/gallery/20/20b9.jpg http://www.mmatycoon.com/gallery/39/39w4.jpg Midget is the defending champ in this division having dispatched Mark Mitchell on the 24th June last. Midget has also defended this title on 2 other occasions in May when defeating McGee and Mills. Next fighter to try to wrestle the title from the midget is the Gremlin Gustavsson. Not sure how the Gremlin got his name but I’m not going to tempt fate by pouring water on him on fight night! Gremlin has only 4 fights to his name to date but all of them are wins and despite his inexperience he has the heart of a lion and should be able to put it up to the Midget who despite his advancing age (says the 40+ year old!) still has a lot in the tank and will be hard to dislodge from the the title. Some say that Midget talks to the title belt he has it that long so if he loses this fight who knows what it’ll do to his mental health! Midget last 6 fights ended in wins for him and all wins were by way of Submission so this is a guy that knows how to fight on the ground as all his wins are by way of submission. The tale of the tape couldn’t be any different for the Gremlin who has won all his fights by way of TKO, KO & Submission - Strikes with his debut fight ending after only 19 seconds so this is a man that attacks and attacks from the start, this aggression is the absolute opposite to Midget’s normal counter attacking style, The Gremlin has the advantage in this fight by way of height and weight and is the much better fighter in boxing and MT with Midget shading it in the Wrestling and BJJ. Midget is waaaaay more popular than Gremlin but I think this fight could be an upset for Midget who is going to be really angry when he loses his title. I think that if Gremlin can stay standing and keep striking aggressively he might have a chance here! I’m gonna go with the underdog for this fight. VERDICT Gustavvson Next title fight on the cards is the Lightweight showdown between Matthews and Brown "Action" Jackson Matthews Antonio "The Angel" Brown Record 6-1-0 (W-L-D) Record 5-1-0 (W-L-D http://www.mmatycoon.com/gallery/27/27b16.jpg http://www.mmatycoon.com/gallery/0/15290293252122.gif Brian Claremont is the current holder of this belt but it’s up for grabs on Saturday for these 2 fighters. Jackson unsuccessfully tried for this belt once before when he lost to Brian Claremont on the 27th May last so he will be hoping for success against the Angel this weekend. Actions only loss to date was this title fight so he is a fighter than knows how to win and has won all his fights (bar one) by way of TKO Strikes/Punch, he is built like an Ox and hits like a freight train so it’s no wonder that 3 of his wins have ended in round one after only a few seconds. In Actions last fight he threw 37 punches in the fight which ended in round 2 when Matthews showed no mercy and the ref had to put him down to stop him from killing his last opponent! The angel is a different kind of fighter with all of his wins by way of Submissions of varying kinds with his only loss being his first fight by way of unanimous decision. This is the Angels first title shot and he will be looking to make the most of his shot at glory, he is known to have a granite chin so should be interesting to see how it holds up to Actions punches! Brown is the much better at boxing and BJJ with Action showing some skills in MT and Wrestling, he is also enormously popular so the crowd will be vociferous in the support of him on Saturday. This is a hard one to call but I think that Matthews can come away with the title on Saturday. VERDICT: Matthews The next title up for grabs on the night is the Light Heavyweight division and this is a battle between Jhonson and Simpson Pather "Professional" Jhonson Joe "The Blitz" Simpson Record 2-0-0 (W-L-D) Record 1-2-0 (W-L-D) http://www.mmatycoon.com/gallery/43/43w3.jpg http://www.mmatycoon.com/gallery/9/9w14.jpg The Professional has earned his nickname as a young man breaking into houses in his home town of Odessa in Mexico, after a string of success he was nicked by the Federali’s and he was given a 2 year sentence in one of the toughest max security prisons in Mexico and that has turned him into the absolute fighting machine that he is now! He has 2 wins to his name by way of Submission with his most recent submission earning his 1,000 and the sub of the night award. He is facing Simpson on Saturday who looks to be a bit downbeat coming off the back of 2 defeats in his last 2 fights both of his defeats were by way of submission so things don’t look good for him on Saturday against the Professional who shows the much better talent on the deck. It's worth noting that Simpsons last defeat was to Jhonson on the 30th June. Simpson shades it on the Boxing and MT fronts but Jhonson is much better in the Wrestling and BJJ side of the house and looks to be more physcholically prepared for this title fight. I’m calling this as a title for Jhonson and it will probably not go past the first round. VERDICT: Jhonson Summary of the rest of the card is as follows: Al Oxford David Wallace 5-2-0 (W-L-D) 6-1-0 (W-L-D) Verdict: Wallace Mark Mitchell Trent Ruta 4-2-0 (W-L-D) 1-2-0 (W-L-D) Verdict: Mitchell Drengot Estrados 2-1-0 (W-L-D) 2-0-0 (W-L-D Verdict: Estrados Bandit Rodrigo 0-1-0 (W-L-D) 0-2-0 (W-L-D) Verdict: Rodrigo St John Diaz 4-2-0 (W-L-D) 2-1-0 (W-L-D) Verdict: St John Hardini Road 2-2-0 (W-L-D) 2-0-0 (W-L-D) Verdict: Road Bufflo King 0-2-0 (W-L-D) 1-1-0 (W-L-D) Verdict: King Thats all for now folks best of luck to all the fighters and managers involved at the weekend and I will be setting up bookies odds shortly for this event.
