  1. Great preview @douche McBaggins very enjoyable.
  2. http://www.mmatycoon.com/images/company/logo/1573337146VsbIDWY_d.jpg Massive night this weekend to round off a fantastic year for JAG Battle League which due to the great efforts of owner and the fantastic contributions of the magnificent fighters on the books has brought this fight org into the top 10 in the world. Many thanks to all the fighters and players that helped make this possible. The last event of the year is another massive PPV event with not one, not two but THREE title bouts on the card. Expect the London Camden Conference Centre to be bursting to the seams for this festival of fighting! The 170lbs title bout sees current champ Mario Benedetti square off to Lee Roy, 185lb title is being defended by Dalton McConnell against Valentin Saric and last but not least the 145lbs title is being defended by Brayden Point (who also by the way holds the 145lb title as well!) against Jason Arlington. I’m going to start with the 145lbs title battle Brayden Point "The Righteous" Jason Arlington Record 15-0-0 (W-L-D) Record 7-1-2 (W-L-D) http://www.mmatycoon.com/gallery/0/15322662702091.jpeg http://www.mmatycoon.com/gallery/0/15277166797724.jpg http://www.mmatycoon.com/images/belt/20191111204229FlCgWzm.jpg This could be a tough fight for Arlington against the current champ and the man who doesn’t know how to lose ! Point is 15 wins on the bounce and the holder of two belts for JAG Battle League. He has 13 wins by (T)KO to his name with 2 wins by submission to vary things around a little bit. Analysis of Braydens past performances tend to suggest that he is more comfortable when standing rather than on the floor and this is where this fight might be interesting in that whilst Arlington has only half the number of fights under his belt compared to Point he has had 3 wins by submission and is the stronger BJJ fighter. I would suspect that Point may try to keep a bit of distance between himself and Arlington for maximum success in this fight. Point definitely loves punching the heads off opponents and tends to focus on this aspect of his ability both when standing and in the clinch and is probably least comfortable on the ground… That said he has come up against better BJJ opponents in the past and beaten them as well so he is no pushover. Buuuuut hopefully he worked on his takedown defence in the last couple of weeks for this one. Arlington has a big night ahead of him to try to take down this champ but he is no shrinking violet when it comes to dishing out a beating as he likes to soften his opponents up before trying to break their limbs when he gets them on the floor I would expect him to try to get into clinches with Point before trying to get his side control working to his benefit and finishing the fight. Might be tight but think Point has just enough to win this one but as Arlington would say himself “take pride in how far you have come and have faith in how far you’ll go”, I can see a great future for this young man. Next title is the 170lb division pairing of Benedetti and Roy Mario Benedetti "Hill Daddy" Lee Roy Record 15-2-0 (W-L-D) Record 7-2-1 (W-L-D) http://www.mmatycoon.com/gallery/39/39w4.jpg http://www.mmatycoon.com/gallery/7/7w16.jpg http://www.mmatycoon.com/images/belt/20191111204229FlCgWzm.jpg Current champ Benedetti has ‘owned’ this division since he took the belt off Belyakov back in August 2019 and he will be hoping to carry the belt over into 2020 on Saturday when taking on Roy. On paper not much between these lads and Benedetti is a slightly better boxer but Roy shades it on the MT and Wrestling side (only just though!). Benedetti is more comfortable standing up but is a decent wrestler and can grapple on the ground when needed he is however more defensive on the ground and tends to move around a bit to try to get back to his feet rather than try to finish the fight on the ground. This is where Roy may have an advantage over the champ on paper but history doesn’t tend to suggest that Roy is keen to take fights to the ground either as in his recent fights he has done well on the ground but he has not been the one to bring the fight to the ground, he will have to change this on Saturday as I think that if he stays toe to toe with Benedetti he is in trouble. When Roy gets on the ground however is a more aggressive than Benedetti and tries to strike and sub the end the fight (more strikes than subs given his excellent boxing ability). Roy can take a hit is known to have a granite chin and he will need it on Saturday. My verdict is Benedetti Next on the agenda is the 185 lb title. Dalton "MC" McConnell Valentin "Tintin" Saric Record 11-3-0 (W-L-D Record 7-2-0 (W-L-D) http://www.mmatycoon.com/gallery/26/26b2.jpg http://www.mmatycoon.com/gallery/0/15170027963346.jpg http://www.mmatycoon.com/images/belt/20191111204229FlCgWzm.jpg MC is the current champ here when winning the belt back in September when beating Randy the Show, he has defended the belt twice since then with on of his successful defences coming against the magnificent Boxaaja (who owned this title from December 2018 to June 2019). The MC train is pretty impressive and you either have to brace yourself, or get off the tracks when it’s coming for ya! MC has 6 of his wins by way of (T)KO’s and he really knows how to punch, he does love a good clinch as he loves to get up close and dirty with his opponents however he does tend to favour punches over everything else so if Tintin is watching out for this he might have an advantage. On paper MC is the better boxer and MT fighter but Tintin is the better BJJ fighter (and substantially better in fact). MC’s most recent defeats (admittedly going back to June 2019) were by way of submissions so this might be Tintin's strategy for the night! MC will throw punches all night long so Tintin will need to watch this. Tintin has a solid chin and will need to get it ready for Saturday as it’s gonna take a pounding! Tintin has however defeated a recent opponent of MC - Neur which may give him some confidence in what how to beat MC at the weekend. Tintin in recent times has clinched up against opponents but he will need to be careful if he tries that against MC how is very comfortable in the clinch and may punish Tintin if he gets too close. If Tintin can get the fight to the canvas its’ all over for MC but I can’t see a seasoned campaigner like MC getting dragged down too easy so I’m gonna say MC slight favourite on this one. Best of luck to all the fighters at the weekend and thanks for making JAG the great fight org that it is. Setanta King.
  3. great writing @Venom - raising the bar for my previews now really enjoyed reading these previews
  4. http://www.mmatycoon.com/images/company/logo/1573337146VsbIDWY_d.jpg The excitement is building for next weekend’s first ever Pay Per View for JAG Battle League who are stepping up to the big leagues now. There is two mouth watering events topping the bill with the 170lb and 185lb titles up for grabs. The headline event is the 170lb match between Benedetti and DIck with McConnell & Neuer duking it out for the 185lb belt. Now let's get down to business! Mario Benedetti Rick "The Prick" Dick Record 14-2-0 (W-L-D) Record 12-2-0 (W-L-D) http://www.mmatycoon.com/gallery/39/39w4.jpg http://www.mmatycoon.com/gallery/23/23w7.jpg http://www.mmatycoon.com/images/belt/20191111204229FlCgWzm.jpg These two animals are fairly evenly matched on paper with Benedetti having a slight advantage in boxing and MT and DIck is only slightly better at wrestling but there is not really much between them. Benedetti is the current belt holder in this class and has defended his title on two occasions since winning it back in August of this year. He is insanely flexible some of his opponents have said trying to hit him is like playing one of those ‘whack a mole’ games in the carnival with a blindfold and after drinking two bottles of whiskey! He is a strong stand up fighter and has a tendency to try to use his flexibility to dodge while taking considered potshots against his opponent he prefers to stay standing and likes to work the head and the body equally and of his fourteen wins he has won nine by way of T(KO)’s so he knows how to hit. Benedetti is not afraid of clinching either but prefers to stay at a distance. The challenger to the throne is Rick the Prick who has 12 wins under his belt and only two losses. He has won 10 of the bouts by way of T(KO)’s and and therefore has a similar record to Benedetti in this regard. He is also known to be insanely flexible so should be interesting to see if these two warriors manage to hit each other at all on Saturday! While Rick the Prick has a similar TKO record to Benedetti they have a very different style of fighting with Rick preferring to take fights to the ground where he will tends to aim to move into better positions before pounding his opponent into oblivion. The two different styles here should be interesting but I slightly fancy Benedetti to shade this one. The next title fight to take place is the pairing of McConnell and Neuer who is taking a break from his professional soccer career to enter the octagon and see how he gets on. Dalton "MC" McConnell Manuel Neuer Record 10-3-0 (W-L-D) Record 11-4-0 (W-L-D) http://www.mmatycoon.com/gallery/26/26b2.jpg http://www.mmatycoon.com/gallery/38/38w20.jpg http://www.mmatycoon.com/images/belt/20191111204229FlCgWzm.jpg Dalton is the current holder here when he unbelievably took the title from the previously unbeatable Phol Boxaaja who had a real hot streak until losing his title recently, and then McConnell piled the misery on him when taking the title back off him shortly after he won it back! MC is a simple man and just loves punching people constantly, he doesn’t care if it’s head’s or bodies he loves punching both equally! On paper these lads are even enough except in BJJ where Neuer is miles ahead with his black belt so MC will need to be careful if this fight goes to the floor. MC definitely will want to keep this fight standing and will need to be careful in the clinch (which he is a fan of) to make sure that Neuer doesn’t successfully take him to the floor where the fight could be over very quick! Neuer is the exact counterfoil for MC in that he is so scared of standup you would swear he had a glass jaw! He is quick so expect him to rush MC and go for immediate takedown to end this fight quick or he is in trouble. He has not thrown and punches in anger in his previous bouts and has relied on his ability as a BJJ specialist to get him his wins with 100% of his wins by submission he really is an expert ending fights this way and expect more of the same on Saturday, I hope MC has been working on his Takedown defence! If this fight drags on MC will win but I have a sneaking suspicion that Neuer might win this one in the first round! Honourable mention of the night has to go to the best named fighter entering the octagon on Saturday from Keith Flotence's stable and fights under the name: "A Mixed Martial Artist Fighter That Competes in MMA", can see commentars having some difficulty with that one! Best of luck to all the fighters taking part and I will be putting odds up on the fights soon so feel free to gamble to your heart's content. Also I’m going to make a shameless plug here for the JAG Battle Gym in London, JAG Battle Gym (4261) which has exceptional coaches and great clean facilities and fully stocked vending machines with some of the best coaches and sparring sessions so if you have fighters in London please join up if you can Thanks Setanta King
  5. http://www.mmatycoon.com/images/posters/1569878259JBL%20TBD%20FINAL.jpg Next big night for JAG is JBL McConnell Vs Boxaaja in Camden Conference centre on Saturday night. The main event is McConnells defence of his recently won 185 lbs title, Boxaaja is trying to win back the title that he owned from the 15th December 2019 until he was beaten by Sireika on the 29th June 2019. What a fantastic main event for this organisation. Dalton "MC" McConnell Phol Boxaaja Record 9-3-0 (W-L-D Record 16-1-0 (W-L-D) http://www.mmatycoon.com/gallery/26/26b2.jpg http://www.mmatycoon.com/gallery/0/13954918807232.png http://www.mmatycoon.com/images/belt/20180511221128JBL-ChampBelt.jpg This really should be some fight on Saturday when Boxaaja steps back into the ring to try to win back this belt following his recent loss. McConnell won the belt recently when defeating Randy the Show in a real toe to toe slugfest where neither of the fighters wanted to go to the floor and MC won with an incredible left hand haymaker that knocked The Show clean out, The Show seemingly woke up in hospital 2 days later wondering where his belt went! Both these fighters are even across the board except in BJJ where Boxaaja has a slight advantage with his brown belt. MC in recent times has preferred to fight standing up and seems to be more comfortable in the clinch where he unleashes hell on opponents when he gets them all clinched up, he doesn’t miss much either so he prefers to land punches rather than swinging wildly. GIven his recent success he will be trying to keep this fight standing where he may have the advantage. I would expect Phol to try to get this fight onto the floor where he has had most of his success in the past and where he has the slight advantage over MC. Phol’s only loss was by TKO when losing the title to Randy the Show who didn’t allow Phol to use his BJJ to overpower him. Up to his defeat he had defended this title 7 seven times and had won by submission in 7 of his previous fights and his other 8 wins coming by TKO so he is a man who knows how to finish opponents. MC beat Phol’s previous (and only professional defeat) in his last fight so should be interesting to see how this one goes. I expect plenty of blood on the cage floor as these two hardened vets are gonna put on a show! All that aside I fancy Phol to win back his title on Saturday Mfer Phol "Mister Ass " Augusto Pinochet Record 11-2-0 (W-L-D) Record 19-4-0 (W-L-D) http://www.mmatycoon.com/gallery/0/14139845539596.png http://www.mmatycoon.com/gallery/41/41w37.jpg Next on the card is the 265lb pairing of Mfer Phol and Mister Ass, no title on the line here but two very experienced fighters warming up the crowd for the main event. Mfer (who is from the same manager as Phol Boxaaja (main event above) is hoping to make it 2 wins from two for his manager Ispa Murhapuro. Mfer has a very good record with only two losses to date with one of those losses by TKO and the other by way of decision. On paper Mfer has a massive advantage in boxing and MT over Pinochet and is also the better wrestler as well so this could be an interesting bout as all of Pinochets wins have come by way of submissions when Mfer prefers to fight standing up so far and has had great success as a result he has 7 wins by TKO and 3 by submission and 1 decision. He has the bigger advantage in his standup so I would expect him to use this to his advantage on the weekend. Pinochet has won all his bouts by submission and he really struggles when he can’t get to the floor where he could have an advantage over Mfer this weekend, but if he can’t get onto the ground Mfers superior standup could end this bout very quickly! Pinochet has a tendency to cut easily and has lost a few bouts because of it so if he is not careful and can’t get close to Mfer he could be in serious trouble. A few of his bouts have ended up like Haloween horror shows with all the blood he loses from cuts so if Mfer can cut him early it could be lights out for him I can see Mfer being a clear winner in this one. Best of luck to all the fighters taking part in the event and feel free to make some bets with my bookies for the event Setanta King.
  6. http://www.mmatycoon.com/images/posters/1564294381poster.png Big debut night out at the Liberty Done on Saturday last in New York where nearly 4,500 people packed into the Liberty Dome to the main event of Udanda V Rittle. Here’s a quick review of the fights on the night. Main event "Diamond" Jezegel Udanda Luss "The Bus" Rittle http://www.mmatycoon.com/gallery/18/18b5.jpg http://www.mmatycoon.com/gallery/24/24b2.jpg Here’s hoping nobody went to the toilet after the previous fight as they might have missed Udanda’s cracking right hand after 47 seconds of round one to The Bus. Both fighters came out aggressively but Udanada proved the smarter hands when he rocked The Bus with a beautiful uppercut which has the Bus seeing stars and right after Udanda had no mercy and punched The Bus’s ticket to send him home in an ambulance! Good fight but fans might have hoped for more of the same for longer… Will there be a rematch soon?? Co-Main event Ormazd "The Gold Prince" Tir Jason "Janoy" Genova http://www.mmatycoon.com/gallery/2/2w13.jpg http://www.mmatycoon.com/gallery/12/12w15.jpg Two relative rookies took to the undercard for this bout and in contrast the the main event they went the full distance with Tir winning by unanimous decision in the end 30:27 score by all the judges. TIr kept the pressure on constantly throughout this fight and preferred to stay in clinches as much as possible when he negated Genova’s standup ability, to be fair this was a good fight with plenty of kicks flying around but Tir was much more accurate with his standup legwork landing 42% of his kicks on target with Genova only landing 25% so Tir would prove to be a worthy winner in the end. Viti V Rothstein Blink and you would have missed this fight ! Viti won by way of KO (Punch) after only 28 seconds of round one of his second ever professional fight. He opened up Rothstein with a knee to the head then a hook to the head and Rotstein’s legs turned to jelly and the crow were calling out “TIMBER” as he hit the deck. Viti was deadly and accurate and didn’t miss any shot he took on the night. Helgason V Venkatakrishnan Two more debutants fighting here in front of the baying crowd. It was a strange fight at the start with Venkatakrishnan instigating clinches then breaking them off which must have been part of the grand plan where he clinched hit once then broke off to try to wear his opponent down which worked as won by TKO (Punch) after 1.59 minutes of round one with the ref calling the fight as he felt Helgason wasn’t fit to continue after he called him Mom several times! Parisi V Tsergas Real slugfest this one was with both fighters happy to swing punches at each other rather than worrying about kicks. Tesrgas was floating like a butterfly as he only got hit once in the whole fight before landing a massive left hook on Parisi which knocked him out cold after 2.38 of round one. Tsergas has big plans for himself and based on this result he has a good future ahead of him. Cardoso V Whok Cardoso look tired coming into this one and Whok made light work of him in the end when he nearly took Cardoso’s eye out with an elbow after a minute of round one of this fight. This elbow was the culmination of 10 other elbows that landed on Whok in this fight and he went home battered and bruised after this bout. Lahey V Stoner Poor enough fight in the end this one was with the crowd getting little tetchy during the last round in particular with the bouncers outside the ring getting a bit worried things might kick off. Lahey won in the end by way of unanimous decision 30:27. There was a lot of punches/kicks thrown in this bout but not many landed but Lahey will be happy enough that he won it in the end Dabingyaba V Chai Good match up here with Chai winning in the end by way of KO Punch after a bruising 2,24 minutes of round one, plenty of action in this one. Chai knocked Dabingyaba out cold with a beautiful left hook to get a great win on his debut fight. Brathwaite V Honcho Another fight on the night to go the full 3 rounds with Honcho winning in the end by unanimous decision 30:27. This was was always going to be interesting with Honcho having heavy hands and Brathwaite with his granite chin so not surprised it went the distance! Honcho had it all his way in the clinch and this where his strengths lie and he scored all his points in the clinch. Brathwaite lost this one because he was very inaccurate with his shots all night. Branch V Marques This one lasted less time than the scene in American Pie where Jim and Nadia get together in Jims's bed! Branch KO’d Marques after 37 seconds of this bout with a divine hook that dropped Marques out cold - beautiful stuff! Hope you like the review Setanta King
  7. http://www.mmatycoon.com/images/posters/1565341321A.jpg Judgement Night ! Sorry for the absence but when I saw the card for this event I just had to do a preview. JAG has hit the big time now and the next big event takes place at the Camden Conference Center where 7,000 screaming fans will be jammed in to see the main event of Champ Phol Boxaaja takes on the pretender to the throne Randy the Show who will try to be the first man to beat Boxaaja since he turned professional, many have tried and failed… will Randy knock the king from his 185 lbs throne??? Second to the main event is the 205 title fight between Mantak Garuda and Jan Sobieski, Garuda is the current champ of this division but only won it recently in July can he hold onto the belt for much longer?? Phol Boxaaja Randy The Show "Tessin" Record 15-0-0 (W-L-D) Record 4-1-0 (W-L-D) http://www.mmatycoon.com/gallery/0/13954918807232.png http://www.mmatycoon.com/gallery/0/15622889745582.png http://www.mmatycoon.com/images/belt/20180511221128JBL-ChampBelt.jpg The record says it all really for Boxaaja… 15 wins with no duck eggs is an incredible record for such a great JAG stalwart he won the title back in December 2018 and has remained unbeaten since then. He has fought in defence of his title seven times since he won the title from Bardamont back them and he has held onto it for dear life since then. On paper Boxaaja has the slight advantage in boxing and MT which would suggest he might try to knock The Show on his ass and win from there but given Boxaaja talent on the floor where he has won 7 of his fights by way of submission he has the talent to mix it up a bit on any given night. He has beaten Sireika twice in the past once by TKO and once by submission so he knows how to adapt to win when he has to stay one step ahead of the competition. The last fight ended after two and a half minutes with a win by submission but could have gone the other way as his opponent hit Phol a couple of beauts before he he managed to get his leg over and caught Sireika on the hop and made his tap out within seconds of Phol locking him in as he knew it was game over! Phol is a good wrestler and world class boxer with infinite stamina so he is going to be hard to beat. Tessin is a relative newcomer to JAG with only 2 fights in the org but obviously fancies his chances of taking the crown. He has four wins to date with one loss, the loss was by way of submission and his four wins were by KO (X2), TKO and a Decision. He has dangerous GnP and is a decent boxer so he might try to stay on his feet and see if he can hurt Phol before maybe trying some GnP on him. Tessin fights just as well in the clinch as when standing and prefers head shots and doesn’t generally miss so Phol might have to soak up some damage before he can get his way with this fight. Despite Tessins confidence and talent I can’t really see Phol losing the belt this time around. Next title up for grabs is the 205 lb title fight where Garuda is defending his belt "Hands of Shiva" Mantak Garuda Jan Sobieski Record 8-2-0 (W-L-D) Record 8-1-0 (W-L-D) http://www.mmatycoon.com/gallery/0/14870305405472.png http://www.mmatycoon.com/gallery/0/13997211788594.png http://www.mmatycoon.com/images/belt/20180511221128JBL-ChampBelt.jpg This is not the first time these two warriors will meet with one of the two defeats Garuda has suffered was at the hands of Sobieski by way of decision, so should be interesting to see if Garuda can turn that around in his favour or will Sobieski be over confident having beaten Garuda before! Garuda won this title recently when defeating Jones only last month so he is showing no fear about getting back into the ring to defend what he will feel is rightfully his! Tale of the tape is fairly even here sith Sobieski only having the slight advantage in Wrestling and they are level pegging on all the other stats. Garuda has lethal legs and a chin made of obsidian and has been nearly decapitated some of his previous opponents in the ring (Editors Note: There was a huge amount of headless corpses of local criminals found near a Tibetan monastery in Laos for a six month period while Garuda was on retreat but nothing was ever proven, or the local police were afraid to investigate! FURTHER NOTE: No more corpses have been found since Garuda stepped back into the ring). Garuda has eight wins and seven of those have been TKO and the one decision he got was a real slugfest in itself where over 200 punches were thrown between them and Garuda tried nearly 50 kicks in the same bout, how somebody wasn’t brain damaged in that one I don’t know! Garuda prefers standup but is equally comfortable in the clinch as well and in fact I think he might prefer the close in action of the clinch at times. Sobieski is also an accomplished fighter and has won eight fights as well with TKO (X2), Submission (X5) and one decision completing his current CV. He is an excellent wrestler and prefers the ground rather than standup so he is the perfect counter for Garuda who will try to keep this fight off the floor if he can while I suspect Sobieski will try to get to the floor as soon as possible! Sobieski is a pretty good Takedown machine so I would expect him to try to keep Garuda down on the mat as much as possible. Hard one to call but think Sobieski might shade it on the night. Best of luck to all the fighters taking part in the event and feel free to make some bets with my bookies for the event Maybe this might get some smack talk happening Setanta King.

Best of luck to all the fighters taking part in the event and feel free to make some bets with my bookies for the event Setanta King.
  9. http://www.mmatycoon.com/images/posters/1557867392legacy%20final.jpg Sorry for the long absence of previews in recent times but unfortunately real life got in the way but really looking forward to the year anniversary of this great fighting organisation and thanks again to all managers who have supported the org through our first year of business. Saturday night sees two belts on the line with Romero facing the previous powerhouse of JAG Thay Budoin teh 205 title bout and Laperierrr and Winger facing off in the 135 category. Joel Romero Thay "The Sandman" Budo Record 12-1-0 (W-L-D) Record 9-2-0 (W-L-D) http://www.mmatycoon.com/gallery/33/33w15.jpg http://www.mmatycoon.com/gallery/0/15286846848534.png http://www.mmatycoon.com/images/belt/20180511221128JBL-ChampBelt.jpg Romero is the current title holder here since his victory against the Bastard back in March and he has successfully defended the belt once since then but is really up against a powerhouse in Budo this week. Tale of the tape shows that Romero has the edge in MT and BJJ but Budo is the slightly better boxer than Romero. Romero has only one defeat to his name to date and has also previously beaten his opponent this week in JBL 16 The Purge when he got the mighty Budo to tap out after just under two minutes of round one. Budo came out swinging but Romero got under the overhand shot and took him down to the floor where he controlled the fight from then on and it was a forgone conclusion ! Budi tried hard to get up but wasn’t able to in the end and that was his downfall on the night. THe previous meeting of these two should add some spice to the occasion. Eight of Romero’s wins have been by submission so expect him to try to get Budo down early again to finish the fight. I have been a big fan of Budo in the past and have written several previews about him and his unbelievable capacity to inflict damage in the past, he seemed unbeatable until he took a leave of absence to travel to a Tibetan monastery to seek enlightenment and then realised that he just wanted to kick the shit out of people and returned to the cage! All his victories bar one decision have been by TKO/Strikes or Punches so he is a simple creature! He has serious ability to knock opponents on their arse but will struggle if he is on the ground. In his last victory before leaving for Tibet he threw over 200 punches when winning by decision and it was a testament to his opponent that he managed to last the full five rounds. Would love to see Budo win but think Romero is too cute to let Budo keep the fight standing. Ian Laperierre Future "Center" Winger Record 9-1-0 (W-L-D) Record 9-3-1 (W-L-D) http://www.mmatycoon.com/gallery/0/14736963834875.png http://www.mmatycoon.com/gallery/40/40b8.jpg http://www.mmatycoon.com/images/belt/20180511221128JBL-ChampBelt.jpg This 135 title is like a bar of soap in a prison shower and has slipped out of numerous hands in recent times with Lapeierre managing to win the title back last month having held it on 2 previous occasions. On paper Laperierre is well ahead in teh Boxing and BJJ departments and is a little ahead on wrestling and Winger is just slightly better in the MT department. Laperierre has only one defeat to his name when losing by decision to Lincoln Storm in JBL 12 in December. He is a man of stamina with five of his previous bouts going the distance and they had to be decided by the judges in the end, other than that his favourite method of victory has been by submission. Oddly enough Winger has also lost to Lincoln Storm as well but also managed a draw against his as well. Winger has been beaten three times to date but is on a hot streak under new management of four wins on the trot so his tail is up for this fight this weekend. Winger is a fan of stand up including while clinching so if he can keep Laperierre on his feet the he will win this fight easlly but he will need to be careful in the clinch as if Laperierre can complete a successful takedown he is in trouble. I think Winger is going to get this one! I may preview another fight if I get the time but wanted to at least get the title bouts done and will put odds up shortly as well on all the fights so feel free to gamble you’re life away Will also post on discord as well so follow the link Setanta King
  10. I say put Phol in as well has beaten all put in front of him this year!
  11. http://www.mmatycoon.com/images/posters/1553118180jbl%20friday%20final.jpg Big night on Friday with outstanding current Middleweight champ Phol Boxaaja defending his belt against the pretender to the throne Charlie Hicking. This will be Boxaaja fifth defence of his title and will Hickings be able to wrestle the belt from Boxaaja cold unconscious hands on Friday ?? Boxaaja has the scalps of Bardamont, Johnson, Sireika and Llosa in his trophy cabinet, will Hickings be joining these scalps on Friday, who knows but should be a good one. Phol Boxaaja Charlie Hickings Record 11-0-0 (W-L-D Record 7-4-0 (W-L-D) http://www.mmatycoon.com/gallery/0/13954918807232.png http://www.mmatycoon.com/gallery/0/14060592457708.jpg http://www.mmatycoon.com/images/belt/20180511221128JBL-ChampBelt.jpg On paper this is fairly even with Boxaaja shading it in the Boxing and wrestling department and Hicking showing the slightly better talent in MT than Boxaaja. I don’t know what else i can say about Boxaaja given he is only 21 years old and has won all 11 on his previous fights to date and that really speaks for itself. He has enormous talent and versatility and has won five of his fightes by submissions and the other by TKO or KO’s so he knows how to win in a variety of manners, he has powerful takedowns and is equally good with his fists and made light work if his last opponent when getting Llosa to tap out in round one of his last title defence. He tends to carry his attacks and adapts to the fights to take advantage of any weakness his opponent might show. Hickings could be in trouble on Friday before he even steps into the ring, he has history with some of the London football hooligan firms and he may be lucky to get into the ring alive! Last time Hickings left Leeds to go to London he was last seen curb stomping a Hammers fan outside of Wembley Stadium…. Hickings has had a somewhat chequered history to date with seven wins from twelve fights to date but started in a blaze of glory professionally and won three on the trot and ended up with a title in a previous (much less cooler) org and is looking to get his hands on some silverware again this week. Funnily enough Hickings faced Sireikia a few weeks ago (who Boxaaja beat before) and where Boxaaja won by KO Hickings won by way of Submission! Hickings is hard to judge and might surprise Boxaaja this week as he can mix things up in standup, clinch or on the ground. Should be interesting (expect a very hostile crown for Hickings on his return to London!!) but I think Boxaaja will win this one easily enough (am going to say late round 1 early round 2… ) Second from top of the card is Zabirov and Blood Zabud "ZZ" Zabirov Jack "The Grinder" Blood Record 7-3-0 (W-L-D) Record 6-0-0 (W-L-D) http://www.mmatycoon.com/gallery/0/15312186434725.png http://www.mmatycoon.com/gallery/26/26w25.jpg Zabirov has slight advantage in this fight on Boxing and MT but Blood is an absolutely miles ahead when it comes to BJJ. Zabirov has seven wins to his name but is on a current losing streak with 3 losses on the trot in recent times. He has won previous heavyweight titles with other orgs but is up against it on Friday to try and beat The Grinder. All Zabirov previous wins have been by KO/TKO’s and one decision. He is not very accurate recently and will need to improve this if is to have a hope against the Grinder this week, before he was KO’d in recent fight he only threw 3 punches and all of them missed. If this happens again on Friday he is in serious trouble and this fight could be over early! The Grinder has the opposite record with no defeats to date (and he also has 3 wins out of four fights in the Grappling championships too). Given his black belt in BJJ it’s no surprise to see that he has won all his fights by way of either submission or Decisions (X2). He is likely to try to keep standing and out of the clinch and try to get this fight to the ground as soon as he can otherwise he could be in trouble with Zabirov. Despite Zabirov’s slight advantage in standup unless he has good takedown defence he won’t win this fight. Kent "Wolf" Mcallum Dax "Drizzle" Baxter Record 4-7-0 (W-L-D) Record 1-3-0 (W-L-D) http://www.mmatycoon.com/gallery/3/3b20.jpg http://www.mmatycoon.com/gallery/41/41w12.jpg Strange one to review as Baxter has the advantage in a number or areas over Mcallum, namely Baxter is better in Boxing, Wrestling and BJJ with Mcallum only having the advantage in MT so on paper this might be a tough night for Mcallum. Wolf is the more experienced fighter of this pair and has won in a variety of manners including 2 TKO’s one submission and one decision, Wolfs main ability is with his feet and he has KO power and can do serious damage with his legs if he can connect tomorrow he tends to kick high when he does swing his leg and if he connects it’s lights out for Baxter! Drizzle has a chin made of stone and can take some damage so Wolf might have a bit of difficulty putting him on his arse! Baxter has preferred standup fighting to date and is fairly accurate with his fists but given Wolf’s weakness on the ground it may be time for Drizzle to change his angle of attack and see what happens. Drizzle had three losses on the trot but finally got his act together to win the last bout so he is flying high at the moment but will Wolf take the wind from his sails tomorrow??? Fancy Drizzle on this one.
  12. http://www.mmatycoon.com/images/posters/1550699079jbl%2018%20din.jpg Next big event is the double title fight night happening in NYC this weekend with the 185lb and 265 lb titles are being fought for in what should be two great fights Top of the billing is the 185 pairing of Boxaaja and Llosa Phol Boxaaja Ernesto Llosa Record 10-0-0 (W-L-D) Record 7-1-0 (W-L-D) http://www.mmatycoon.com/gallery/0/13954918807232.png http://www.mmatycoon.com/gallery/0/14904377055817.png http://www.mmatycoon.com/images/belt/20180511221128JBL-ChampBelt.jpg Current undisputed champ of this division is Boxaaja whoa has defended this title three times to date and has still not been defeated in a professional fight to date, will Saturday be the night of his first defeat when he faces relative newcomer to JAG Llosa who has also defeated CJ Johnson on his way to this title shot (CJ was beaten by Boxaaja to retain his title in ‘A New Chapter’ fight night a few weeks ago). While Llosa has one defeat to his name this was in his debut fight and he has learnt some lessons from this and has not lost since! On paper Boxaaja is the better boxer and MT fighter than Llosa and other than in wrestling where Llosa has a slight advantage they are even enough other than that. All of Llosa wins have been by submission and he doesn’t like throwing any punches and tends to close into a clinch where he can and then try to get the fight to the canvas where he has a wrestling advantage. Boxaaja has a more variety of wins to his belt with half his wins by way of TKO or KO’s with the balance by way of submission, however Boxaaja is an excellent boxer and can cause serious damage and to date he has preferred to hit his opponents to soften them up with a variety of punches and kicks and then pouncing into a takedown attempt when he gets the chance to try to finish the fight. Llosa should be able to put it up to Boxaaja but have to favour the champ here! Next title on the line is the 265 category and Romero and Neves will be pairing off to see if Romero loses the title he only won a month ago! Jose Romero Joao "KO King" Neves Record 8-3-0 (W-L-D) Record 8-2-0 (W-L-D) http://www.mmatycoon.com/gallery/37/37w16.jpg http://www.mmatycoon.com/gallery/38/38w4.jpg http://www.mmatycoon.com/images/belt/20180511221128JBL-ChampBelt.jpg Similar fight records for both of these lads with Romero having one fight more under his shiny gold belt than Neves, on paper Neves has the much better boxing and MT talent than Romero by Romero slightly shades in on the Wrestling front with both having purple belts in BJJ. Six of Romero’s wins have been by TKO with the other two by submission, Neves on the other has has won all his eight fights by TKO. These two has battled before when Romero came out the winner when KO’ing Neves and putting him out cold on the canvas when he worked his GNP hard to win the fight. Romero’s typical modus operandi is to use his takedown ability to work the canvas and use his GNP to end fights he doesn’t like standup and that’s where Neves superior boxing and MT could cause his trouble (if Neves can stay on his feet!). Neves is a real stand up fighter and won’t like playing on the canvas on Saturday if Romero manages to get him down, for Neves sake let's hope he has been working on his takedown defence since these two last met! Neves is deadly accurate when striking in the clinch so Romero will have to be careful if he is getting close to Neves and he manages to avoid the takedown, if this fight stays standing then Romero is in big trouble. Favour Romero but really wouldn’t be surprised to see Neves win this one!
  13. http://www.mmatycoon.com/images/posters/1550356873JBL17.jpg Seconds out ! The next JAG title event is happening this Saturday in the Arena of Hard Knocks in Los Angeles where the 170 lb title is being defended for the first time By Mario Benedetti who only won the belt at the start of February and has the balls to step in to defend the title so soon after winning it. Benedetti is no chicken shit running from title fights so he can hold on to the belt for a few more weeks ! Well done Mario Main event on the night is the title pairing of current champ Benedetti and Woody, challenging for this belt for the first time ever. Mario Benedetti http://www.mmatycoon.com/images/flags_small/Uruguay.png Tyron Woody http://www.mmatycoon.com/images/flags_small/United_States_of_America.png Record 7-0-0 (W-L-D) Record 6-0-0 (W-L-D) http://www.mmatycoon.com/gallery/39/39w4.jpg http://www.mmatycoon.com/gallery/22/22b14.jpg http://www.mmatycoon.com/images/belt/20180511221128JBL-ChampBelt.jpg This looks like a cracking fight on paper with both these fighters undefeated stepping into the cage on Saturday. Benedetti is made of stone and can really take a hit and four of his seven wins have gone the full distance and he won by unanimous decision so he has staying power as well so he is a dangerous man. On paper Benedetti is the much better boxer but on all the other major skills such as MT, Wrestling and BJJ Woody is slightly better than Benedetti. Benedetti much favours standup fighting when he can get away with it and with his ability to soak up damage he will want to keep this one standing on Saturday if possible as Woody will have a slight advantage if he can take the fight to the floor. Expect Benedetti to work Woody from a distance and wear him down. Three of Woody’s last fights were won by decision and he has the heart of a lion, his other wins were by submission and two TKO Strikes. I would expect Woody to try to get close to Benedetti and work him over in the clinch a bit to soften him up (with his superior MT) then bring the fight to the floor where he has the advantage and try to use his submission / BJJ ability to end the fight. If Benedetti stays standing he will win but I can’t see Woody letting this happen too easily!! Next for preview is the 170lb pairing of Sonnen and Belyakov Chael "The American Gangstar" Sonnen Kirill Belyakov Record 9-1-0 (W-L-D) Record 6-0-0 (W-L-D) http://www.mmatycoon.com/gallery/1/1w25.jpg http://www.mmatycoon.com/gallery/26/26w16.jpg This is like a rerun of Rocky 4 with USA up against Russia for the honours in this fight. This is an unusual fight on paper with wild variations in skill levels on both sides ! Sonnen is better in MT and BJJ with Belyakov better in boxing and wrestling, however Balyakov’s morale is very low at the minute for some reason, maybe pummeling the American Gangstar on Saturday might improve that! Gangstars record is pretty good to date with only one defeat when being beaten by current 155lbs title holder Sitsongrit so no shame in being beaten by him. Sonnen has won all of his fights by way of KO/TKO by strikes and he has a granite chin and is known as a dangerous Ground and Pound man. His favoured tactic is to hit opponents for takedown then hammer them into pieces. Belyakov is known as a decent wrestler but to date has preferred to use his fists of fury to put opponents down and doesn’t tend to go to ground easily, Belyakov will need to keep this fight standing at all costs to have a hope as Gangstar is lethal on the ground to date. Belyakov knows how to win and if he can resist the repeated takedown attempts on Saturday he will probably win this fight. Random fight for the night is as follows: Aleksy Dzikowski Renato "Cobra" Gomes Record 4-3-0 (W-L-D) Record 3-1-0 (W-L-D) http://www.mmatycoon.com/gallery/27/27b14.jpg http://www.mmatycoon.com/gallery/10/10b15.jpg On paper Dzikowski has the upper hand in boxing and MT and wrestling with Gomes being the better BJJ specialist of the two. Dzikowski has four wins to date with his debut fight for JBL ending in defeat, 3 of his previous wins were by decision and the other was by way of Submission. He has a granite chin and prefers to fight on the counter and has good takedown ability which he uses constantly in previous fights, but I’m wondering is he might change tactics and use his superior standup ability to win this fight?? Gome on the other hand has three wins to his name with his debut fight for JBL resulting in victory last time out. All his wins have been by submission and he is very fond of takedowns too so I expect this fight to be won by the best ground fighter, which to date has been Gomes so I would favour him slightly on Saturday. Best of luck to all the fighters taking part Setanta King
  14. http://www.mmatycoon.com/images/posters/1549316774JBL%2015.jpg Next massive title night takes place this Saturday in Tokyo where the headline is the battle for the 155 lb title with the current belt holder Sitsongrit facing Thoressen who is challenging for belt for the first time. Julio Cesar Sitsongrit Magnus "Hammer" Thoressen Record 7-0-0 (W-L-D) Record 4-0-0 (W-L-D) http://www.mmatycoon.com/gallery/25/25w19.jpg http://www.mmatycoon.com/gallery/21/21w26.jpg http://www.mmatycoon.com/images/belt/20180511221128JBL-ChampBelt.jpg From reading Sitsongrit blurb about his gym in Rio de Janeiro his advertising line says the following “Sitsongrit means "Student who passes along great ability" ("Sit" = student/pupil; "Song" = to pass along; "Rit" = great ability/enormous power)”, not sure how true this is but to date Sitsongrit has showed some great power and ability in winning the 155 title back in November when he defeated Alexandre, this will be his second defence of his title and he defeated Moese Daldo last time out to hold onto the belt. He is a great fighter but on Saturday Thoressen has the upper hand on him in the boxing and MT department but Sitsongrit is much more powerful in BJJ and wrestling. To date Sitsongrit has won by either submission or decision but even when winning by decision he has preferred to fight on the ground (but has been known to throw a punch or two when he can! That's what makes this fight interesting in that Thoressen will want to stay standing if at all possible but will have to be careful not to get too close in the clinch or Sitsongrit might be able to bring the fight to the ground where he has the advantage. Thoressen has serious knees and has great kicking ability as well so this should be interesting, Thoressen has fought other BJJ brawlers before and won so this could be tight. I slightly favour Thoressen on Saturday. Next to top of the card is Woody and Wendel Tyron Woody Mathias Wendel Record 5-0-0 (W-L-D) Record 6-5-0 (W-L-D) http://www.mmatycoon.com/gallery/22/22b14.jpg http://www.mmatycoon.com/gallery/8/8b2.jpg No title on the cards here but should be a good fight as both fighters are even enough other than Woody has a huge BJJ advantage over Wendel. Woody is a strong man and has both excellent MT and takedown ability so his likely mode of attack will probably be clinch then get the fight to the ground where he has a serious advantage. Despite his obvious takedown talent he has the capacity to dish out punishment and in one of his previous fights he dished out 238 punches and 236 of them landed on his opponent (editor note: he must hit like a girl if he hit a guy that many times and the fight went full 3 rounds and to a decision !). Three of Woody’s fights have gone to decision and the other 2 by way of TKO Strike. Wendel has a different history and has been a previous champ in the 170lbs division of JBL in the past so he has serious talent as well. He has struggled against BJJ fighters in the past so he will want to keep this fight standing where his heavy hands can do serious damage to Woody, all of his previous wins have been by KO punch so expect him to come out swinging on Saturday. Despite their respective records and Woody’s unblemished record there could be an upset here is Wendel can keep Woody at arms length and use his undoubted talent with his fists. Continuing with my random pick of the rest of the fights (Editor's Note: if you put in a fighter bio / backstory you MIGHT be more likely to get picked ‘randomly’ from now on) I will preview Reece and Rakovich. Reece "R1" HC Filip "Thunder" Rakovich Record 4-2-0 (W-L-D) Record 5-3-0 (W-L-D) http://www.mmatycoon.com/gallery/26/26b24.jpg http://www.mmatycoon.com/gallery/30/30w35.jpg Thunder has the slightly better record of these two fighters to date with one extra win but on paper this is an interesting one when you compare the fighters. HC is a wonderful boxer and beats Thunder all hands up in this are but HC is much better in BJJ than Thunder with all the other stats even enough (other than morale where Thunder’s morale is so low I’m surprised he can get out of bed in the mornings!). One little nugget of info here is that HC has lost to Rakovich before in his first ever QFC fight when Thunder got HC to tap out in the first round when he got HC into a Kimura Submission in round one of their fight, will history repeat itself on Saturday?? Since his initial loss to THunder HC has only lost one other time by submission again and all his wins have been by KO/TKO’s. He has a sold chin that can take some damage and he is very accurate with fists but will he be able to stay standing long enough on Saturday to get his revenge on Thunder? Thunder is the exact opposite fighter to HC and has won four of his five fights by way of Submissions with the other win by way of TKO. I would expect this fight to be on the floor as soon as possible if THunder gets his way. I kind of fancy HC slightly in this bout. Best of luck to all the fighters taking part this weekend Setanta King
  15. @monsieur Camara love the post and well done last week
  16. http://www.mmatycoon.com/images/posters/1548883680retribtu.jpg Next big fight night takes place this Saturday in Sydney with two belts on the line the 265lb and 170lb titles. Current champ in the 265lb division Phol takes on Romero who is taking his first shot at this belt. Also on the cards is the 170 pairing of Camara and Benedetti for the vacant 170lb belt. Mfer Phol Jose Romero Record 7-0-0 (W-L-D) Record 7-3-0 (W-L-D) http://www.mmatycoon.com/gallery/0/14139845539596.png http://www.mmatycoon.com/gallery/37/37w16.jpg http://www.mmatycoon.com/images/belt/20180511221128JBL-ChampBelt.jpg Phol is the current champ having won the belt at the end of December when defeating Hyon by a kneebar submission in round one of their fight. Phol takes an impressive record into this fight and is undefeated in seven fights to date. On paper Phol is the better boxer and MT fighter when compared to Romero but all their other skills are relatively similar with not much between them in BJJ and Wrestling. Given his standup talents in boxing and MT it’s no surprise that most of Phols previous fight’s stay on their feet where he can do the most damage and he is equally comfortable in the clinch or going toe to toe, however his last two fights have been won with some impressive groundwork when taking down in the clinch. Romero has three defeats in his career to date and unfortunately one of this came by way of Hyon back in November whom Phol defeated to win the belt recently. Most of Romero’s wins have been by KO or TKO but his most recent fight was won by submission so like Phol he has changed his tactics in recent fights! Romero will not be as comfortable as Phol in standup and will likely try to get this fight to the floor where his good wrestling talents can be brought to bear on Phol. If Romero can get to the canvas here on Saturday he has a chance but still favour Phol to retain the belt. "African Assassin" Dixon Camara Mario Benedetti Record 5-0-0 (W-L-D) Record 6-0-0 (W-L-D) http://www.mmatycoon.com/gallery/14/14b5.jpg http://www.mmatycoon.com/gallery/39/39w4.jpg Empty belt here for the taking and these two fighters look impressive and the only shame is that one of them is going home with a defeat in their otherwise unblemished careers! Camara is better on paper in MT and BJJ with Benedetti superior in boxing and marginally better wrestler than Camara. This is Camara’s first outing for JAG with his last bout being a title win in the 155lb division for another fight org when he ended the fight before some of the fans who left their seats to go to the jacks missed his title fight - it only took him 10 seconds to end it! Camara is a powerful fighter and has serious ability to cause damage with his lethal (and accurate) high kicks so Benedetti better watch out, he is also handy enough with his fists too as his previous fight showed. Previous fights show that Camara enjoys wearing his opponents down with kicks and clinches before heading to the floor to finish them off. Of Benedetti six wins four have been by decisions and have gone the distance so e is not a man to tire easily, he learned to fight at an early age and has a sponge like ability to soak up damage and it might be something to do with the fact that he is the eldest of four brothers and had to dish out some beatings to keep his cheeky little brothers in line! His last fight was a real slugfest with over 200 punches thrown between Benedetti and his opponent with Benedetti throwing nearly 60% of them. Not all landed, but enough did to win him his bout. Benedetti loves punching and loves it equally standing or in the clinch. I expect Benedetti to want to keep this one standing and he will be reluctant to go the floor where Camara has had more success to date. Hard to call but think Benedetti will win In keeping in line with random pick of the other non title fights I have selected Serengeti V Sobrino to preview as well on Saturday as I don’t think I have previewed either of these guys before God Of The Serengeti Tomas "Maño" Sobrino Record 0-1-0 (W-L-D) Record 1-4-0 (W-L-D) http://www.mmatycoon.com/gallery/6/6w17.jpg http://www.mmatycoon.com/gallery/42/42w2.jpg Neither of these fighters has a great record to date but one thing is for sure on Saturday one of them is going to win and improve their poor records to date! On paper Sobrino has a massive edge over Serengeti in boxing and MT with Sobriono’s boxing in particular being his best talent, but Serengeti more than makes up for this deficit in MT and Wrestling with his Wrestling in particular being his best talent. Based on these stats I can only see the fight happening one way with Sobrino trying to stay standing and Serengeti wanting to get the fight to the canvas where he will have a huge advantage. Sobrino can soak up damage as in his last fight he had to take 90 punches to head and body from his last opponent so don’t expect him to go down easy. Serengeti despite having a granite jaw was KO’d after 1 min of his debut fight so this fight should be interesting on Saturday. Favour Serengeti slightly to win this one. Best of luck to all fighters and managers taking part on Saturday Setanta King
  17. http://www.mmatycoon.com/images/posters/1548107325Invincible%20II.gif Next big title event is this Saturday in Los Angeles when the 185 and 205 lb titles are on the line. In the 195 current champ Boxaaja is stepping into the cage with old rival Sireika who lost the title back in November last so Sireika will be out for take the belt back on Saturday! In the 205 division Romero is defending his belt against Billy the Bastard who is taking his first title shot of his career, can he wrestle the belt from Romero?? On paper Boxaaja has the better boxing, wrestling and BJJ skills with Sireika only shading is slightly in the MT department. Boxaaja has good talent and can mix it standing as well as on the ground and five of his victories have been by TKO with the other four by way of submissions. His last couple of fights have been fought a variety of ways with Boxaaja throwing punches / kicks to soften up opponents before getting close and taking the fight to the floor where his purple BJJ belt comes into good use when trying to close out the fight by submission. He is like the duracell bunny and will go all night so Sireika better be prepared for a battle! Sireika is taking his second fight under his new manager Mello Jones and he will be hoping to have a better result than his last outing when he was beaten by Hickings. This should be an interesting fight as Sireika has serious hands and can KO guys if he connects right, he tends to prefer to fight in the clinch and will need to try to avoid being taken down in this fight as if he is on the canvas then Boxaaja has the upper hand. I expect Sireika to get tight clinch then use his KO power to end the fight. Have to favour the defending champ on this one. Joel Romero Billy The Bastard "Jones" Record 9-0-0 (W-L-D) Record 4-2-0 (W-L-D) http://www.mmatycoon.com/gallery/33/33w15.jpg http://www.mmatycoon.com/gallery/0/15308487236490.png http://www.mmatycoon.com/images/belt/20180511221128JBL-ChampBelt.jpg Romero has owned this title since Thay Budo was stripped of his title for going off to join a Buddhist monastery to find inner peace back in September (editor's note - Thay Budo has rejoined following his sabbatical so watch this space). On paper Billy has the better boxing and MT and they are even enough other than that. However will the undefeated champs better experience come into play on Saturday? Interesting fact about Romero is despite the fact he has the stamina of a gazelle he has ended all his fights before the end of the first round! Eight of Romero’s wins have been by submission and one by TKO so it’s no secret what he is going to do on Saturday but even when you know what’s coming he is a hard man to stop. The Bastard is a gentleman with a very sharp edge and loves walking into the cage with his entourage with Motorhead King of Kings blaring. He is eclectic and usually rolls in to the ring wearing a Saville Row three piece suit and definitely looks the part of a gentleman until he unleashes hell with his fists! He is way more inexperienced than Romero but has four wins by TKO to his name, hs is on a roll as his last five fights have been victories so the wind is in his sails at the moment. The Bastard doesn’t much miss with his fists and given Romero’s talent on the ground his best chance to get the title will be to stay standing and pummel Romero into submission, also even if you knock the Bastard down he gets back up in one of his most recent fights he was on his knees after getting a right hook jumped back up and put his opponent on the mat with a punch then followed him down to pound him into the canvas to win the fight, don’t underestimate him. My gut would say Romero will retain but I have a sneaking doubt that if anyone can take it from him it’s gonna be the Bastard. I have picked my next fight to preview from lower down the undercard for fighters I haven’t previewed before (I think) and have picked Kropp V Maestre as I like Kropps backstory and think he deserves recognition Yul "The Coffin" Kropp Luis "The Dexter Creole" Maestre Record 2-0-0 (W-L-D) Record 1-0-0 (W-L-D) http://www.mmatycoon.com/gallery/0/15019574151166.gif http://www.mmatycoon.com/gallery/13/13w16.jpg The coffin has joined JAG recently and this is his first fight for the org he is a dedicated and weighs a whopping 300lbs!! He is a bit unusual and don’t know if I’d like to meet him in a dark alley on a Saturday night but the massive bulk hides a surprising inner peace that he learned from a cult of monks in his native Kosovo, as well as teaching him some inner peace they also taught him some barely legal MMA submission moves called Lavaeste that if it goes wrong there is likely to be a fatality in the ring! He has great ambition and is planning on dominating MMA for years to come. His two wins to date have been by TKO and TKO’s they were he has ended his two fights in 9 seconds and 5 seconds respectively, his last win was by superman punch and that is not something you see too often. He is ridiculously lethal his hands/hammers! Maestre is the better boxer of these so this might make things interesting, also Maestre has a good 35cm in reach advantage compared to Kropp so this might keep Kropp at bay while Maestre picks him off from distance and then when he has Kropp softened up he might try to make his superior wrestling count and bring Kropp to the canvas and try to end the fight. Maestre is an excellent boxer and has a granite chin and can hit with his only fight ending in 17 seconds after a KO by way of punch. I think Maestre will shade this fight. 18. Lol never thought a simple preview could cause such problems @cuedini, not the place to post your issues as this is a preview thread. Any issues can be addressed directly with Nate and no doubt will be resolved. As mentioned above the top 3 fights usually get previewed altough I did pick a random lower fight 2 previews ago to mix it up a little bit. I'm sure for the many events that JAG have held there is a number of managers that have never had their fights previewed and there has never been anyone giving out about it (until you did now). I am all for spreading the previews where it helps the org and based on what you have said (despite your tone) I might consider amending my previews in the future to some of the manager that have not been previewed before and see if that is of interest to the org.
  19. http://www.mmatycoon.com/images/posters/1547587679initiation%20III%20final.jpg Top of the bill in London this weekend is the pairing of Goglin and King. Monte "The Count" Goglin Bruce King Record 4-0-1 (W-L-D) Record 1-2-0 (W-L-D http://www.mmatycoon.com/gallery/42/42a3.jpg http://www.mmatycoon.com/gallery/24/24w14.jpg Straight USA V England for the top of the bill wih the American Goglin the more experienced and undefeated fighter with 4 wins and one draw to his name. Goglin has three wins by TKO and one decision in his career to date. He is known as a punch sponge and has serious capacity to take hits and has elbows like razor blades if he can get to use them in his fights. In his last fight he took a bashing form his opponent and stayed standing till the end and eked out a draw. He had a tendency to fight in the clinch when he can to make good use of his elbows when he is in tight so King may need to stay back a bit to dodge Goglin’s elbows. I wonder can King’s heavy hands negate Goglins granite chin on Saturday?? King is the less experienced fighter here and has two defeats and one victory to his name, coming by way of TKO. King is behind Goglin MT and wrestling with only boxing the area that he excels at compared to Goglin. The only hope King has is to keep Goglin standing and land a sucker punch while keeping out of the clinch at the same time. Verdict has to go to Goglin on this one Jugger Naut John "Blacky" Smith Record 2-1-0 (W-L-D) Debut Fight http://www.mmatycoon.com/gallery/1/1b11.jpg http://www.mmatycoon.com/gallery/26/26b17.jpg Jugger has two wins to his name since joining the JAG stable and both have been by submission and a decision. On paper Smith is the better at MT and Naut better at wrestling and both fighters even across the board other than this. Smith is an unknown quantity as he is stepping into the cage for the first time professionally. Naut is a brawler with a granite chin and knows both how to take punishment and to give it! To date Naut has preferred to brawl in either a clinch on the deck rather than standing up and given his advantage in wrestling over Smith I would expect more of the same on Saturday. Smith is going to have to try to avoid being under Naut on Saturday night in the cage to have a chance to claim his first professional scalp. Kinda think this could be a debut win for the JAG Rookie, Chistopher "The Viper" Hammer Henry "Baddest Man On Space" Mioci Record 7-3-0 (W-L-D) Record 1-1-0 (W-L-D) http://www.mmatycoon.com/gallery/43/43b11.jpg http://www.mmatycoon.com/gallery/0/15435020633411.jpg Viper is a JAG debutante by has plenty of experience to date with ten fights and seven wins he is known as a brawler and has a chin of stone to boot. Mioci is quick as lightning and had great MT and the ability to take any man down easily so Hammers granite chin might not get touched on Saturday! Mioci’s only win to date has been by submission when he charged into his opponent and ended the fight with only 39 seconds gone in round one! BOth these fighters are fairly evenly matched other than in MT where Mioci is miles ahead of the Viper, this might be interesting as both fighters enjoy clinching and takedowns but neither fighter to date has shown much interest in staying standing in the clinch, will Mioci keep the fighters standing and see if he can wear down the Viper or will the Viper clinch get to the floor and try to win by way of submission. I would have to favour the Viper slightly in this one due to his greater experience. Best of luck to all the fighters and managers taking part at the weekend. 20. http://www.mmatycoon.com/images/posters/1546294449JBL%2013.jpg Hard Knocks arena in London is the location to be this weekend with the 145lbs title up for grabs with current champ Point being called out by the pretender to the throne Bagueirau. Point has held onto this title since he won it way back in October and has successfully defended his title on two occasions since, can Baguerau wrestle (literally!) the belt from Points hands???? Brayden Point Sildosoves "Throne" Bagueirau Record 8-0-0 (W-L-D) Record 5-1-0 (W-L-D) http://www.mmatycoon.com/gallery/0/15322662702091.jpeg http://www.mmatycoon.com/gallery/0/15358835707854.png http://www.mmatycoon.com/images/belt/20180511221128JBL-ChampBelt.jpg On paper Point has the advantage in this fight when it comes to Boxing, MT and Wrestling and Bagueirau only holding his own when it comes to BJJ. Point is undefeated in eight fights to date and has won by a variety of means with his last victory by way of a KO by punch other than that he has won twice by submission and the rest by either TKO or KO. In Points last title fight he was deadly accurate and landed every single punch he threw although the fight was over that quick he didn’t have to throw that many in the end - only nine punches to KO Peralta with a fantastic uppercut being the icing on the cake that put Peralta on the floor. Bagueirau will have to soak up some punishment to win this one on Saturday! However given his superior wrestling talent Point might mix it up a bit and fight on the floor.. But I think he enjoys smashing people too much to do that! Bagueirau is a tough cookie and has five wins with only one defeat in his career to date, all of Bagueirau’s wins to date have been by submission with his one defeat by way of decision after going the full 3 rounds, he is a powerful fighter and had to take a lot of punishment from Top in that fight when losing as Top threw a lot of kicks at Bagueirau and landed over 50 on him and he stayed standing so his ability to take damage might be useful on Saturday. All Bagueirau’s previous wins have been quick ones too with none lasting past the first round so don’t expect him to sit back and wait for things to happen. I expect him to let Point throw a couple of punches then counter and use his BJJ to finish the fight! Should be a good fight but have to favour the current champ Point to come out on top! (sorry Winger ). Arnoldas Sireika Charlie Hickings Record 9-0-0 (W-L-D) Record 5-3-0 (W-L-D) http://www.mmatycoon.com/gallery/6/6w18.jpg http://www.mmatycoon.com/gallery/0/14060592457708.jpg Sireika is a regular fighter with JAG and has been the middleweight champ for JAG previously when under a different manager so this is his debut for his new manager who will be hoping to make it ten wins on the trot. Sireika has great MT talent and has the capacity to knock people out cold but he is a bit lacking in BJJ whereas his opponent on Saturday has the better boxing and BJJ skills and will be trying to use this to his advantage. Sireika prefers standup fighting and is particularly fond of clinches and using his strikes when clinching and this has been his most successful manner of victory to date with six of his previous wins by way of TKO by Strike, so don’t expect him to want to do much fighting on the ground this weekend. Hickings has a chequered history since he went from being a full time football hooligan to professional MMA fighter with five wins to date but all of these wins were either KO’s or TKO’s with his defeats all coming to better ground fighters by way of submissions so he has a hard choice to make on Saturday… stay standing where he has had the most success or hit the ground where he is the better BJJ fighter… TOugh call for the manager to make but given Sireika history and pedigree he is the favorite to win this bout in my humble opinion. Jordan Bryant Dalton "MC" McConnell Record 7-0-0 (W-L-D) Record 2-0-0 (W-L-D) http://www.mmatycoon.com/gallery/40/40b27.jpg http://www.mmatycoon.com/gallery/26/26b2.jpg Bryant is the more experienced fighter on Saturday with seven wins from seven but McConnell whilst inexperienced has two wins from his two fights to date. McConnell has the better talent in Boxing and MT with Bryant showing much more flair in Wrestling and BJJ. All of Bryants, who is very powerful btw wins have been by either KO’s or TKO’s with one decision going his way other than that. He is a very good standup fighter and I just wonder with McConnell having the advantage in standup on paper will Bryant try to use his superior ground work skills to win this fight? The one thing about Bryant is that he is accurate with his fists and when he throws a punch more often than not they land, all his fights bar one have ended in the first rounds so this show’s how powerful a fighter he really is! MC’s two wins have been by TKO and decision and he is also a fighter that loves to throw punches and his last fight against Proudmore (who has a granite chin) was areal slugfest with McConnell throwing over 100 punches with nearly ⅔ of them landing on target and he still wasn’t able to put his opponent down and it went for him by way of decision. This could either be a toe to toe standup fight on Saturday or will Bryant use his superior ground skills to his advantage? Have to slightly favour Bryant on this one due to his greater experience. Best of luck to all the fighters and managers on Saturday and odds on all the fights will be availabe via my bookies if you fancy a flutter
  21. http://www.mmatycoon.com/images/posters/1546293675new%20chapter.jpg Following on from the highly successful ‘Final Destination’ event last weekend which resulted in Phol winning the 265lb title and Alexandre taking the 170lbs title on the night some other honourable mentions are Taavi Mottus and Jack Blood who won KO of the night (Taavi) and Sub of the night (Jack). The Bastard and Gunna Win served up the fight of the night with a slugfest so well done to all concerned in making this a very successful night for JBL. Next Title night is this weekend with Phil Boxaaja and CJ Johnson fighting for the 185lbs title. Phol Boxaaja CJ "Bad Man" Johnson Record 8-0-0 (W-L-D) Record 6-1-0 (W-L-D) http://www.mmatycoon.com/gallery/0/13954918807232.png http://www.mmatycoon.com/gallery/0/15319132153161.png http://www.mmatycoon.com/images/belt/20180511221128JBL-ChampBelt.jpg Boxaaja is the current champ of this division having won the title in the middle of December when defeating Bardamont in a bruising 4 round thriller. Boxaaja showed a lot of skills when winning the title and he managed to fight standing up, in the clinch and even got some floor time in as well ! Ultimately he won by a show of superior BJJ and won by way of submission, but given his skills in standup and GNP he’s not a one talent wonder! Boxaaja is undefeated in eight fights and has won by a variety of means including three submissions, four TKOS by way of strikes and one KO by punch. On paper these two fighters appear even enough but Boxaaja is a slightly better boxer than Johnson but that aside these are 2 very exciting young fighters that have a fantastic future ahead of them in this sport. Johnsons record to date is pretty good with his one defeat coming against Sirelkas in a title fight last month he prefers stand up fighting but has been known to roll around on the floor a bit (sometimes even in the cage as well !). He has had a tough childhood living on the streets of Sydney and this has made him into the beast that he is today, he has lethal fists and they are accurate as hell if his last fight is anything to go by when he landed all but one of his punches to knock Miles to the floor after 3,20 mins of round 1. Boxaaja has to be the favourite on this one but don’t expect it to be an easy night in the ring for the current champ. 2nd to top billing on the night if the pairing of Drunk and Jone in the 265lbs category Punch Drunk Bubba "Jethro" Jones Record 8-3-0 (W-L-D) Record 3-2-0 (W-L-D) http://www.mmatycoon.com/gallery/20/20w14.jpg http://www.mmatycoon.com/gallery/0/15449616617231.gif No title on the cards on this one but given Punch Drunks record if he wins this one he might be calling for a title shot very soon! On paper while Jones is the lesss experienced fighter here he has the slightly better stats than Drunk except in BJJ where is is miles ahead of drunk and given his slight superiority in wrestling as well this could be where Jones might try to win this fight. All of Drunks previous wins have been simple affairs, he prefers to knock his opponents out cold and has won all his fights by way of TKO, Jone is the same as his three professional wins have also been by TKO! Drunk is a simple creature and loves throwing punches both in clinches and standup, he has heavy hands has some real power behind them and he really puts his whole body into them to really make them count. Jones better be ready to soak up some initial damage to get through this bout, however Jones is no shrinking violet when it comes to throwing punches and whilst he might not have the KO power of Drunk he has the accuracy but on Saturday will he try to unsettle Drunk and bring the fight to the floor where he would have a huge advantage?? I am going down the card a little bit to get some of the fights that are lower down the card for a preview to freshen things up a bit and have picked Hinch V Scanlan to preview as I have never previewed either of these fighter for JAG. "The Tank" AJ Hinch Jordan Scanlan Record 2-0-0 (W-L-D) Record 2-1-0 (W-L-D) http://www.mmatycoon.com/gallery/38/38w20.jpg http://www.mmatycoon.com/gallery/39/39b3.jpg USA V’s Canada in this fight so let's see how friendly the Canadian Scanlan is when he gets into the ring on Saturday. On paper Scanlan is the much better MT fighter but Hinch is better in wrestling and BJJ than Scanlan. Hinch had a promising career in baseball cut short when he injured his throwing/drinking arm in college when he slipped playing beer pong in his freshman year and had to give up on his hopes to turn pro, unfortunately for Scanlan this means that Hinch is a bit bitter and twisted about the world and has been taking his aggression out on his opponents in the cage, he has only 2 fights in his professional career but both have been wins one by TKO and the other with a savage had kick that nearly took Daldo’s head clean off! He won his last bout in 22 seconds when he unleashed a head kick on Daldo knocked him to the ground followed him down and put him out cold.. He is ruthless and bitter and that makes him dangerous! Scanlan has won his two fights by KO punch and TKO and his only defeat was by Submission in his debut fight so given Hinch’s superiority in groundwork will he try to use this to his advantage or stay standing and go toe to toe with Scanlan? This should be an interesting fight and I would tip Hinch slightly to win this one. That’s all for now - hope you enjoyed the preview and best of luck to all the fighters on Saturday (especially to my no hoper waster/just about to be dumped fighter!). I will be putting odds up on the fights shortly so feel free to try to take some money off me if you wish Setanta King
  22. http://www.mmatycoon.com/images/posters/1544736997Lapie%20V%20storm.jpg JBL 12 takes place this Saturday with the main event of the night the pairing of Laperierre and Storm for the 135lb title clash in London. Laperierre holds the title currently having won it from Machida initially and then defending successfully in November against Neckbreaker to continue his seven fight undefeated stretch. In addition to this big fight there is two other belts on the line as well with Romero and Winger battling it out in the 205lbs division with Romero the current champ he is defending his belt for the first time this weekend. Also Sitsongrit and Daldo and duking it out in the 155lbs division with Sitsongrit defending his shiny new title for the first time having defeated Alexandre to win the belt last month as well. I think Alexandre may still be smarting from that defeat and I smell a rematch on the cards! Ian Laperierre Lincoln Storm Record 7-0-0 (W-L-D) Record 6-0-1 (W-L-D) http://www.mmatycoon.com/gallery/0/14736963834875.png http://www.mmatycoon.com/gallery/0/15331762536335.gif http://www.mmatycoon.com/images/belt/20180511221128JBL-ChampBelt.jpg Laperierre is the current champion and is going to (pun incoming…) have to weather the storm on Saturday to hold onto his belt. Laperierre is like the duracell bunny and can go all night long and several of his fights have gone the distance so this is a man that can wait things out and fight for a decision rather than jumping headfirst into the fight. He is equally comfortable clinching / standing or fighting on the floor as is very versatile, his favourite position recently has been in clinching so he may try this again on Saturday but given his versatility don’t count on it! Storm is technically undefeated in seven fights also with only a draw going against him, he has excellent MT ability and has the ability to KO anyone and has done on several occasions in the past with 5 of his previous wins by way of KO (x1) and TKO (x4). His preferred method of attack is either stnading or in the clinch with the clinch being slightly preferred if his previous fights are anything to go by. He can be inaccurate when swinging his hand cannons but if he connects right it could be lights out for Laperierre on Saturday. Fancy Storm on this match but only slightly! Joel Romero Second "Center" Winger Record 8-0-0 (W-L-D) Record 4-0-0 (W-L-D http://www.mmatycoon.com/gallery/33/33w15.jpg http://www.mmatycoon.com/gallery/40/40b8.jpg http://www.mmatycoon.com/images/belt/20180511221128JBL-ChampBelt.jpg Romero is the current holder and whilst he is relatively new to JAG he has made a big impact since joining the org. He is eight wins from eight and whilst he won seven of these by way of Submission he changed his modus operandi against Gunna Win in his last fight and won by way of TKO strikes when he got into full mount and absolutely destroyed Gunna untill the ref had to put an end to the bloodbath. Romero is lethal on the ground so Winger is going to have to try to keep this fight on their feet! Winger has height and weight advantage so this may work with his superior MT ability in keeping off the canvas on Saturday. Winger has 4 wins on the trot and has the ability to take a punch or ten but is weak in BJJ when compared to his opponent so he will need to keep his clinching tight on Saturday to make sure that he can keep the fight standing. I would like to see Winger put it up to Romero but I think Romero might be too good for him but he will give it a good shot. Julio Cesar Sitsongrit Moese "No Chance" Daldo Record 6-0-0 (W-L-D) Record 5-1-0 (W-L-D) http://www.mmatycoon.com/gallery/25/25w19.jpg http://www.mmatycoon.com/gallery/17/17w22.jpg http://www.mmatycoon.com/images/belt/20180511221128JBL-ChampBelt.jpg The 155 title is up for grabs in this contest with Sitsongrit the man in possession having wrestled the belt from worthy former champ Tiago Alexandre and this is his first defence of the belt. Sitsongrit has won all of his previous fights by way of Submission but his opponent on Saturday is equally talented in BJJ with both fighters holding brown belts in BJJ. However Sitsongrit is much better in Boxing and MT than Daldo so for this fight maybe he might try to to stay on his feet for a change, or will he? Both these fighters are the same height and weight so it may come down to a lucky move on either of these fighters parts to win the bout. All of Daldo wins were also by way of Submissions as well so this may be a fight where the two lads roll around the canvas for a few minutes trying to get the upper hand on the other. Daldo’s only defeat was to Alexandre who was the former champ of this division and who Sitsongrit has already defeated so all the pressure is on Sitsongrit on Saturday to win this match and hold onto his belt (which I think he can do). Best of luck to all the fighters and managers on Saturday Setanta King
