  1. The higher your Conditioning and Energy, the more weight you can cut. At the time of the Fight (6PM City of Fight), if your 'Max Cut' is within your Weight Class, you will make weight. As others have stated, Weight Gain/Loss Supplements should only be used during Rest Sessions. Recovery Supplements can be used during any Training Session Stamina Supplements should only be used during Cardio Sessions Strength Supplements should only be used during Weights Sessions If you have VIP, you can see what the 'Max Cut' would be after each Rest Session. If your Energy and Conditioning are low, Rest some and Train Cardio, you should get your weight down. Good luck! Mike
  2. To keep your Gym clean, it is $1 per training slot used. Each Gym Member has 12 Training Slots, so if you keep it at $12 per Member you will never have to worry about it. However, you can take into consideration that every Member is not going to use all 12 of their Training Slots. Most will need to take off a Session or 2 Every Week. Some may even do Part Time Training. $10 per fighter should be sufficient, really. Even if the Cleanliness were to drop, it wouldn't be more than 1 Level and could easily be fixed within 1 day. Good luck! Mike

  4. Sparring gives the average rating of your sparring partners. The best way to spar is 1:1 with someone rated much higher than you, though this is easier said than done. A huge class size is good if you are rated low in the discipline, because the laws of average should assure you a higher rated average. Good luck! Mike
  5. Way to go man! Title Fights are sweet. Revenge Fights are sweet. A Fight like this is rare and definitely memorable! Good luck! Mike
  6. You cannot compare Old Gyms to New Gyms. A lot (probably not all) of these Gyms took advantage of the 'Rejoin' Exploit to make their money. Good luck! Mike
  7. On Monday, our Wonderful Rated Sparring Dummies will be holding 5 Sessions per Week. That's 20 Sparring Sessions with a Wonderful Partner every Week! If you have a New Build in Amsterdam, or just want Elite CT and Great Sparing, be sure to check outSPARdio Systems! Good luck! Mike
  8. I would suggest having an "Invite Only" Sparring option. Set Weekly (like Training Intensity) where you can lock certain Sparring Slots for "Invite Only" Sessions. This way, you could "sell" 1:1 Sessions to Gym Members. Of course, this would be better if the proceeds could go to the Gym and not the Sparring Partner. I do suggest the "Weekly Freeze" so Owners can't change the slot at the last minute. One thing that would help, but I understand the reasoning behind it, is the ability to have money given to the Gym. Right now, I''m trying to support my Gym by doing Banners, Logos, and such. I'm having the money given to my Sparring Dummies to pay their Fees. If this money could be deposited into the Gym instead, it would be much better. Currently, the biggest issue is that rich Owners can afford to run at a loss, because they have the backing to cover the losses. Having paid for a year's VIP, if I lose it because of my failing Gym, I'll be super pissed. Speaking of which, another suggestion would be to lose 1 month of VIP and the business. Instead of all of the VIP and the business. In any case, I'm a newer Manager with a New Gym in a New City, so take my observations/suggestions for what they're worth. Good luck! Mike

  16. Bangkok seems the logical choice here for timezones. Good luck! Mike
  17. Trace "The Grinder" Bradley is a talented young fighter in Hilo, HI. Boasting a 3-0-0 record, all of his wins have come in the first round. Bradley is a member of ICON Ring of Fire and is in the Top 5 of the Light Heavyweight Division. Both of his contracted fights have earned "The Grinder" KotN honors. A young, exciting fighter with a bright future, Trace Bradley is actively seeking Sponsorship opportunities. Good luck! Mike
  18. Location shortlist, business model, and basic accounting are in place. Obviously, cities with no demand for a Cardio/Sparring Gym are not on that list. With all of the responses in this thread, I believe that all of my questions have been answered. Thank you all for your input, I may not open the Gym in the immediate future, but I feel more confident in my plan. Good luck! Mike
  19. Thank you PBR. Considering, I'm thinking about opening a 'Noob Gym' (Economy Cardio), besides sparring, the Equipment will probably be used a lot. What is the upper end of the variable? This way, I can prepare for the worst for the first few weeks and get a good feel for the operation. Good luck! Mike
  20. I understand the cost of upkeep, but have a few questions on running a Gym. I don't currently own a Gym, but am considering opening one down the road... How often does Equipment Quality drop from 'Brand New'? Or, in other words, about how often should I be expecting to drop $3,000? Coaches cost $500 base + Ability based Wage. What is the Average Wage for an Elite Conditioning Coach? Can you change the Capacity after Creation? Basically, expand once your membership caps. Any other input or advice is appreciated, as well. Thank you in advance. Good luck! Mike
  21. On his flight back to Las Vegas, Gianfranco Pagliera's manager, Michael Mazzafro, updated his blog and was somewhat critical of his fighter's work ethic. Some tough words, but something for Pagliera to contemplate. His looked under-prepared in his debut against Randy Jones in Legacy 38, and if what Mazzafro said is correct, needs to shore up his fight discipline before his next bout. Surely, this isn't what The Red Eye was signing up for when they sponsored the promising young fighter.

    New City?

Looking at the current City timezones, the logical choice would be between St. Petersburg and Tokyo, as this is the largest gap. GMT+6 would bisect this gap and GMT+5 or +7 would leave future expansion available in the other slot. For these values I would suggest: GMT +7: Bangkok GMT +6: Kathmandu GMT +5: Kolkata Good luck! Mike
  23. Marco Sanchez has just joined and is looking forward to training at the Sweet Science Gym. Good luck! Mike
  24. I got a year's VIP and am debating opening a company. Still being noobish, I'm looking to the experienced managers for advice... Which company is the most solvent and/or easiest to run? I have adequate Graphic Design skills and a decent writing ability, so I think that I'd do okay. From what I've seen, Orgs seem to be the most difficult and Gyms seem to be the easiest, is this a fair assessment? Also, if the company flopped, would I lose my entire year of VIP? If so, I guess I'd be better off going monthly, so if I did fail, I could just get another VIP package. That doesn't seem right, but seems to be how the game is set up. Good luck! Mike
